@Ka Kaww!; « #10 on: Today at 09:41:31 PM »Sunnah of Allah is Sharia on mankind. Sunnah of Muhammad [as] is sharia on believers. Fatwa are from scholars; legal opinions. your using fatwa instead of Sunnah of God is wrong. God didn't change His way, until you bring Jesus into it.

He could have created one as He did for Adam.,

was the body of Adam illegally obtained? how about that of Eve?

are there things God will not do? Are there things you will not do; things that do not fit your personality, your age, the person you really are?

Dangote does not sweep the floor of his cement factor. God wants to minister to Jews and gentiles, He does not come down to do it after He had not done that but raise up prophets. If God wants to kill so that man can be saved if they believe, He will not kill Himself. Further those who engage in killing can argue with Him that He did it first and as obedient servants or what you want to call believers that they are imitating Him or making the killing bigger.
^

I can see some of your hang ups. Adam and Eve were the original copies but when they got compromised, the need of another prototype was apparent

So what were you expecting? God to create and build another full grown man after Adam had said that Eve is source of life; mother of all living?

Fatwa or Sunnah take a pick, that is where toeing the line hinged on. Creating one as He did for Adam is out of the question.

The last Adam or last prototype will adhere to the protocol; Eve the source of life

Dont confuse die with kill. They are disparate. God did not kill but died for all

By the way, Dangote does not sweep the floor of his cement factor? I bet you, Dangote wipes his "where the sun dont shine" himself

Sweetnecta, where is the confusion? It is only an ọgbẹri that rants vitriol the way you do. Hey I will indulge you a bit more but stop short of the mud and any trampling

From Genesis 1: 26 through this current dispensation until God knows when, Divinity has its quarters and humanity too has its quarters.

God would not go against His fatwa; shall we say borrowing a lingo you're familiar with. God needed a body, and for the record emphasis is on "a legally obtained body" The upshot of that necessity is Jesus

It is God's prerogative. He can do whatever He wants, wherever He wants, whenever He wants etc. God is not answerable to no one but Himself

You really need to start realising that if you want something done right, what do you do; you have to do it yourself.

Politics / Adelasoye To Remain In Prison Even Longer by KaKaww: 6:26pm On Aug 12, 2011

Wedding scam lawyer jailed for loan fraud

A solicitor jailed for Britain's biggest fake wedding racket will remain in prison even longer after he was found guilty of a £323,000 mortgage fraud.

Nigerian Michael Adelasoye, 51, forged his boss's signature on two loan applications that claimed he earned £78,000 a year when in fact his wage was £25,000.

He intercepted application forms which he had requested be faxed to Cooper Carter Claremont Law in Hailsham, East Sussex, then filled them out himself before faxing them back to potential lenders, Croydon crown court was told.

Adelasoye secured the £323,000 mortgage with Cheltenham and Gloucester building society.

The jury heard that his manager, Karen Goldsmith, had previously refused his request for a reference including all his potential bonuses to give a larger salary figure.

His fraud was discovered when a second lender asked her to confirm a reference she had apparently sent them on behalf of Adelasoye. Mrs Goldsmith called police after a fax of the application revealed that her signature had been forged.

Father-of-10 Adelasoye, of St Leonards, East Sussex, was jailed for three-and-a-half years for two counts of fraud.

Last year he was given four years for organising 383 fake weddings so immigrants could illegally stay in the UK. He was set to be released on licence in September next year but is now likely to remain in jail until at least May 2013.

Why this obsession to continually obfuscate. It is pharisee' that deliberately pull scripture out of context.

Without going beyond the scope of OP's question "Born of water" in the John 3:1-5 has nothing to do with "washing of water by the word" or "bodies washed with pure water" but more of bringing into existence

The dual; the physical born man and spiritual born man will see the Kingdom

It was a situation of two can play the game but I can play it better between Nicodemus & Jesus

Nicodemus tried to ridicule Jesus with a reference to how can a grown man go back to the womb

Whereas Jesus graphically went a step further by referencing the water in the womb that gets broken before any MAN enters earth

Nicodemus no doubt got the lowdown in ”except a man is born of water et al"

Joagbaje:

Being born of water is to be born of the word. The word is represented most times by water

No it's not. That is a pretext and a diversion from the context where the text came about or originated from

The meaning of this particular instance "born of water" is simple and clear without any need to obfusticate

Substantiate or support your claim with texts that being born of water is to be born of the word. The word is represented most times by water

Pastor AIO:

I think that the responses of favcom and joomiegal and above all Olaadegbu highlight the fact that the phrase 'born again' is highly misunderstood.  Even in spite of Jesus' discourse with Nicodemus.  To be born again is simply to be born in the spirit.  When the Spirit is activated then you can begin to operate in the kingdom of Heaven.  I don't see how anyone can read it as anything other than that.

All the '4-steps' etc that Olaadegbu is coming out with is simply obsfuscating this very important teaching
In fact confusing the teaching with added concepts thus veiling the original meaning seems to me like devil's work.

Dont think the obsfuscating was deliberate but more of an Albert Einstein's “If you can't explain it simply, you don't understand it well enough”.

The intended meaning of the very important teaching got lost in the communication because the background of the relevant verse was not understood well enough

OP's question was "What Does "born Again" and born of "water" Mean?"

Simply "born Again" is as Pastor AIO revealed and born of "water" is come out of a womb

Remember the verse is a reply to Nicodemus' sarcasm in John 3:1-5

where he asked "How can a man be born when he is old? Surely he cannot enter a second time into his mother's womb to be born!"

The qualifiers for MAN to enter into the kingdom of God are; be born of water and of the Spirit.

He that entered not by the door (i.e. born of water) is a thief and a robber and clearly had got in some dubious and questioning way
Crime / Nigerian Chatting With A Woman At A Bus Stop Is Shot Dead by KaKaww: 7:45pm On Aug 08, 2011

Police appeal: Daniel Famakinwa died an hour later in hospital

A man chatting with a woman at a bus stop was shot dead when an argument erupted.

Daniel Famakinwa, 20, was waiting with friends for a bus in West Norwood after a night out when a row broke out with another group of young men.

He was shot just after 4.15 on Saturday morning.

As other people fled, the woman Mr Famakinwa had been talking to stayed with him to try and help.

However she left when police arrived and is one of several people murder squad detectives are urging to come forward.

The shooting took place in Waylett Place at the junction with Norwood Road. Mr Famakinwa from Manor Park in east London was taken to King's College Hospital where he died over an hour later.

Detective Chief Inspector Caroline Goode said: "We know Daniel had been out dancing that night with a group of friends and afterwards they were waiting for a bus. There was an altercation between Daniel's group and another group of black men who were also waiting at the bus stop which has resulted in Daniel being killed.

"I would urge anyone who was in the area at the time, and who may have seen or heard anything suspicious, to come forward as you may hold significant information.

"We are specifically appealing for a white woman in a checked shirt who was also at the bus stop, and who had no connection to either group, to come forward. She understandably made off at the time but we need her to contact police - she may have vital information.

"We also want to trace a young black woman who was speaking to Daniel immediately prior to the shooting, and was present through the incident and stayed behind to help. However she left before police arrived and again we need to speak with her as a matter of urgency.

"I believe there were also a number of other black women at the bus stop who fled after the incident, and again we need them to come foreword and make themselves known."

Anyone with information should call the incident room on 020 8721 4868 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

DamiKhojie:

By the same token what you believe in could also be wrong but you don't seem to be acknowledging that. I believe morals are man-made because you can easily look back in history and see how all cultures and customs have changed to adapt to the times. For example in the past many Europeans believed it moral to "Civilize" Africans (aka enslave, kill, torture, violation) in the name of God (and of course the other Gs Gold & Glory) but nowadays most would consider that a violation of human rights. Even if you look at many of the most popular religions you can see divisions with in them (Protestant/Catholic, Sunni/Shia,Orthodox/ Conservative) if morals were created by God there would be no need for all these branches within these individual religions as morals would be absolute . Also many of the Holy Books that dictate these morals/rules/sins the Bible especially have been adapted, altered, and interpreted to exploit followers, fit the needs of those in power, and to comply with the norms of the times. Anyway your free to believe what you want to believe I won't criticize your for it as long as it's not harming me or intolerant of my beliefs.

@yommyuk Just like you said to him I agreed with your principle until

In the bolded part of the above, u make sense and I agree with you in principle. But the comments that followed is uncivil and very common among muslims. That is where christianity differs.

This is what Our bible tells us

2 Timothy 2:23-26
Again I say don't get involved in foolish, ignorant arguments that only start fights. A servant of the Lord must not quarrel, but be kind to everyone, be able to teach, and be patient with difficult people. GENTLY instruct those who oppose the truth. Perhaps God will change those people's heart, and they will learn the truth. Then they will come to their senses and escape from the devil's trap. For they have been held captive by him to do whatever he wants.

What does the Koran teach or say about trying to preach the truth to an unbeliever. Is it, show them the white and red flag or what?

Sorry guys, I am not derailing your thread. I just got some time for this dude today. or do u want me to open a new thread?

Emotion and intellect are both functions of the soul. They know one another and affect one another. Like if you love something, you may know more about it. One thing must be noted though, EMOTION is stronger than REASON.
Matt 26:38-39 42
Then he said to them, “My soul is very sorrowful, even to death; remain here, and watch with me.” - EMOTION?
And going a little farther he fell on his face and prayed, saying, “My Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as you will.” - REASONING?
Again, for the second time, he went away and prayed, “My Father, if this cannot pass unless I drink it, your will be done.” - REASONING POWER?

2:21 And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not.
2:22 Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds.
2:23 And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works.

I'm having a hard time trying to understand that part. is it that Jesus gave up on hope about saving humanity, because the purpose God sent Jesus to earth was to save all mankind. so why will Jesus kill at all?

2Praise:

@op,

Do you know why cults exist? because one person picks up one line from the bible and makes a sermon out of it without understanding the full

context, the history or period that it applied and under which law the people were living under.

Never interpret a scripture like that. Its hard to understand the new testament without understanding the old and vice versa.

Some lines read 'go hang yourself'! now imagine if that is all you understood!!

God is not a killer neither does he tolerate nonsense so yes he can kill. While in one part he says he will destroy, you read another part where he says

'Its not my will that any should perish. Another line says 'whoever kills by the sword dies by the sword. That's not a command for us to go killing in revenge.

So understand it fully first before you conclude. bible can be very complex at times.thts why we have teachers of the word.

You are right because a text not read in context is a pretext and so a departure from the crux of the matter
However engage OP, ask questions to find out how and where he is having a hard time understanding the part he raised instead of telling him off and giving him an earful
