Business / Re: "You Can't Ban Spraying, It's Our Culture" - KSA To Soludo by KAYTOBEI: 4:38pm On Feb 18, 2008
An opinion poll for bachelors and sprinsters on money spraying? who will support non-spraying of the naira at his or her wedding. and the married people of this forum, will you support non-spraying of money at ur children's wedding?

I set the ball rolling by giving my answer to question one cos I am a bachelor. I will not support non-spraying
of money at my wedding. it's part of the fun! It's part of our culture, we created it and we love it. Paper money was made by Colonists and so not in our culture, somebody said, but right there on the American continent we spray dollars in Nigerian parties. we created a culture with their paper money, simple! A scene in the movie 'Phat Girls' confirms that.

As long as the naira is not set on fire, let it make event thick!
Nairaland / General / A Story Awaits You! by KAYTOBEI: 10:05am On Feb 12, 2008
A new status shattered a man's dream. A plane crash questioned another
man's conscience. A thin line deters not a daring woman from following
her heart just as another heart strays from the ethics of prostitution.
The fruit of a union of contrasting colours grows up hating that union.
And a pagan is undaunted in his belief that a cure will come from his
gods! These lives merged different narrow paths, giving birth to a
wider one that leads to a great dream, a conquering love, a changed heart
that gets another chance, and a new life which comes out of one that should
have been scourged to death by a virus.

Piercing through boundaries, this story paints a world in the hands of
HIV/AIDS, the pains and sufferings of its victims, and the courage,
resilience, and determination of humans to nail the disease to a coffin

Politics / Re: Musa Yar'adua Is The New President Of Nigeria! by KAYTOBEI: 3:00pm On Apr 24, 2007
The greatest and most stinking legacy Obasanjo is leaving behind is the 2007 elections. A total manifestation of a madness groomed and nurtured for 8 years. I just wonder if Yar'Adua has a consciense embedded in that calm and collected look of his. He is a pious man, no doubt, but how can peity dwell among ugly-looking vultures and hyenas, I wonder! Albright of the National Democratic Institute declared the elections as the worst in the world, a world which includes the Democratic Republic of Congo where elections were held relatively fair even at the point of a rebel's gun. Ondo was a robbery, Edo was a disaster, Ekiti an eyesore, infact the whole country boiled silently as oppression and intimidation danced on our national stage. Obasanjo claims not to be corrupt, but he has just proved that an incorruptible man can rig elections, intimidate the electorate, impose a puppet on the country, dine with Adedibu, clink glasses with a rogue known as Anenih, and smile in fulfillment of a personal agenda achieved in a chaotic environment. Wole Soyinka once said that The man dies in every man who keeps quiet in the face of tyranny. I think this quote needs to be narrowed to a particular animal called man - Obasanjo. The man in him is dead, so is his rest. I hail this forum. It's my first time, I hope my contribution is gud enough to be welcomed as a new member.
