Business / Free 250,000 Business Registration By Lagos State/federal Government 2020 by Kazmaz(m): 1:38pm On Mar 24, 2022
Hello Everyone...
I participated in the Lagos state/Federal government free business registration (Enterprise) in the year 2020 around February or March. About a year later, I found out that the business name has been registered for me but the issue is how do I collect my certificate. I went to the CAC office around Ikeja or so, they told me I need to see or meet the Aggregator. Since this was done online...it makes it had to locate or identify the Aggregator. I don't know if anyone has experienced this as well. Some people told me I have to wait for the government to call me to pick it up. I have been waiting since 2020 till date. Pls provide me necessary information regarding this if you got one.

Thanks.

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: How To Identify A Scam Interview Invitation by Kazmaz(m): 10:45am On May 05, 2016
LaurelP:
I have seen so many Nairalanders complaining and lamenting their ordeal in the hands of fake scam companies who invite people for interview only to introduce them to fake drug marketing business.
I'm doing this not only because these companies waste people's time, energy and T-fair going to such interviews, but also because most of these scammers extort money from hapless job seekers thereby making their suffering times two.
Imagine a scammer extorting #10,500 from a graduate who have been unemployed for years, not to talk of the transport fare wasted going to such fruitless interviews or job chat as they usually call it.
Some people even borrow money to pay these sheep in wolves clothing, who promise them heaven on earth. Some will tell you that you will make half a million within 1 month and all that. If you're not careful, you will take a loan that you will not be able to repay thus causing embarrassment and lack of rest of mind. An unemployed person should have only himself to worry about, not having debts also.

So I believe that if we are properly guided, we will not fall into the hands of these scammers.
Having said that, there are ways by which one can identify a fake or scam interview invitation and there fore avoid such waste of time and money. The good thing is that most of their messages come in the same format, so you will know its fake!

1. The message does not bear a company name: most of these scammers won't include their names on the message you will receive. All you will see are the address, the time and date and a phone number. A genuine company will not hide its identity from a potential employee.

2. The message will say "interview/job briefing": whatever job briefing means I don't know!
3. You will see a code or reference: something like "HR=0056" or "REF=002". This is an indication of the code number of the person who invited you to the "job briefing".
4. It will contain a phone number: this is the number of your referer. Most genuine companies don't give phone numbers.
5. You will see HR Admin in the message instead of company name
6. If you call their number, they will be reluctant to give info on the company.

And pls, ignore those people sharing job flyers on the streets, and those ones they paste on walls. Those are scammers and some ritualists too. And also most of these so called agencies are avenues for duping unsuspecting job seekers. Pls shine your eyes well well.
I will post the names of some of these fake companies/ agencies later.

Pls if you have any experiences inthe hands of these scammers kindly share it here so that others can learn and avoid them too. Thank you

Cheers!

Education / Re: The Sexual Misery Of The Arab World by Kazmaz(m): 8:05am On Feb 22, 2016
vanguard90:
Mofos who don't know shii about Islam running their stinking guts they call mouth.
Islam understands a man's desire is generally greater than that of women and that is why a man is allowed to take up to 4 wives, it is not as if it is compulsory. if you are OK with one, fine, if u are not marry up to a maximum of four.
The real hypocrisy here is the society condemning polygamy but celebrating infidelity.
Islam doesn't ban male female relationships but strictly prohibits anything that'll lead to infidelity, is that too much? I understand even Christianity frowns at it too but just not as much as Islam.
Also, Islam understands sexuality well and that is why early marriage is encouraged, it is not like you are being forced to marry early, but if you feel you can't handle your desires, it is better to get married than commit fornication.
The hatred for Islam is just so annoying these days, it is not like you are being begged to accept the religion, why not just practice your believe and leave others to theirs.

Don't quote me if you are not .......

It is normal brothet for them to hate Islam n say all sort of rubbish they like. I think they find ISLAM too complex to understand becus it has principles. that guides human beings on all the aspects of life. And dont forget, Allah said in the Quran: Their Ears n Eyes has been covered by a veil so they cant see or hear abt Islam. May Allah (SWT) continue to lead us aright. Ameen.

Politics / Metuh Tore Confessional Statement, Says EFCC Source by Kazmaz(m): 5:59am On Jan 13, 2016
of the commission has said. The top officer of the commission, who confided in one of our correspondents on Tuesday, alleged that Metuh tore the statement when it was brought to him for his signature. The source alleged that the PDP spokesman tore the statement he had earlier made to shreds and attempted to put the pieces in his mouth when operatives stopped him. Metuh was arrested by the EFCC last week for allegedly receiving N1.4bn meant for the purchase of arms from a former National Security Adviser, Col. Sambo Dasuki (retd.). The source said the interrogators believed that the PDP spokesman destroyed the statement after realising the gravity of the evidence against him. The top operative added that the commission was considering filing additional charges against Metuh for allegedly destroying a major evidence in the case against him. He added that the action of the PDP spokesman amounted to a wilful damage of government property. “The tearing of statement is tantamount to wilful destruction of government property and it is a serious offence. Also, the fact that he obstructed operatives from performing their job is a criminal offence. “We will explore the possibility of filing a separate charge against him at the Federal Capital Territory High Court,” the source said. Efforts to get Metuh’s aide, Mr. Richard Ihediwa, to react to this latest development did not succeed as calls to his mobile telephone indicated that it was switched off. There was a report last week that the EFCC was investigating the account of Destra Investment Limited, owned by Metuh. According to the report, the EFCC investigators discovered that Destra Investment Limited was used to fund the PDP’s activities, including its 2015 campaigns. The EFCC alleged that the company, which had N6, 676,576.06 as of November 24, 2014, recorded a balance of N1.4bn by last December. Some of the deposits in the account are N400m from the Office of National Security Adviser on November 24, 2014; N253m on December 2 and 4, 2014 from Ibrahim Kabiru, whose identity had yet to be confirmed; N91m on December 2, 2014 from Capital Field Investment; and N92m on December 3, 2014. Meanwhile, Metuh has said he will no longer speak to investigators about the N400m he collected from former President Goodluck Jonathan. He said rather, he would only speak in an open court. Metuh had admitted before the EFCC operatives that he received N400m from Jonathan, but refused to disclose what the money was meant for or for what job. In a statement by his Special Assistant, Ihediwa, in Abuja on Tuesday, Metuh claimed that he executed a project for the former President but refused to explain the job he executed for the ex- President that fetched him the huge sum. Metuh, who is said to be on hunger strike, said he would only disclose the job he did for the defeated former President in an open court. Ihediwa said, “In exercise of his rights, he has since given his statement to the EFCC wherein he submitted that he received the sum of N400m from the former President for an assignment, which he executed to the satisfaction of the former President. “In further exercise of his rights, Metuh has also indicated his readiness to make public the nature of this assignment, but only in an open court in line with the laws of the land, and where his statement would not be distorted by anybody.” Meanwhile, the caucus of the PDP in the House of Representatives has demanded the release of the PDP spokesperson from the custody of the EFCC within 48 hours. The Minority Leader of the House, Mr. Leo Ogor, a member of the PDP from Delta State, who spoke on behalf of the caucus, clarified that the demand did not mean that the lawmakers were against the anti-corruption war of the Federal Government. Ogor added, “We are not in support of corruption or any corrupt person, but due process must be followed. Metuh has been arrested and kept in detention for nine, almost 10 days, without trial. “We insist that he should be taken to a court of competent jurisdiction or granted an administrative bail as has been done in cases involving other persons.” The caucus recalled that like Metuh, former Kaduna State military governor, Brig.-Gen. Jafaru Isa, a “known associate” of President Muhammadu Buhari, was also detained by the EFCC for receiving N170m from former National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki. However, the PDP observed that in the case of Jafaru, he was granted bail soon after his arrest by the anti-graft agency. “Isa Jafaru was granted bail after the EFCC chairman (Ibrahim Magu) visited Aso Rock. What does that tell us?” Ogor asked. The EFCC had said Isa was granted bail after he refunded N100m from the N170m he collected from Dasuki. Ogor added, “If you make a reference to the refund of money, then we have missed the point. The point is ‘why keep a man in detention endlessly without trial’? It is not the duty of the EFCC to direct anybody to refund money. That is the responsibility of the courts.’’ PDP’s National Legal Adviser, Mr. Victor Kwon, told one of our correspondents that he was not at the place where the incident allegedly happened. Kwon said, “I wasn’t there and I won’t want to react to hearsay. “Only those who were there can confirm or deny whether the incident took place or not.” Efforts to get the EFCC’s spokesman, Wilson Uwujaren, to confirm Metuh’s action, had not succeeded as of the time of sending this report as calls to his mobile telephone did not connect. In a related development, the House of Representatives in its plenary session on Tuesday debated a bill to amend the EFCC Act 2004. The bill, which was sponsored by Mr. Nicholas Ossai, seeks to restructure the commission and strengthen it. The bill, among others, seeks to restructure the composition of the EFCC by introducing various professional bodies into its operations. It also seeks to empower the commission to seize funds held in the bank accounts of individuals, which the owners could not defend or explain their sources. A member, Mr. Zakari Mohammed, said, “We need to professionalise the EFCC so that the agency can be sound in fighting corruption.” But members like Abdulrazak Namdas and Aminu Suleiman expressed fears that introducing “external bodies” like the Nigerian Bar Association could politicise the operations of the commission. “These professional bodies are themselves political bodies in a way because they have political affiliations. At the end of the day, they will rather delay the work of the commission than speeding it up,” Namdas stated. On his part, Suleiman said, “Bringing in other organs to be part of the EFCC will politicise the commission.” The bill passed its second reading and was referred to the House Committee on Financial Crimes by the Speaker, Mr. Yakubu Dogara.

Politics / I’m Not Fighting Fashola, Says Tinubu by Kazmaz(m): 7:59am On Aug 27, 2015
The National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, has distanced himself from the recent attacks against former Governor Babatunde Fashola of Lagos State. Tinubu added that the attacks were being sponsored by the Peoples Democratic Party. Tinubu, who is a former governor of Lagos State, said this in a statement issued by his media office on Wednesday. Fashola, according to a report on the state government’s website, spent N78.3m on his personal website, www.tundefashola.com and N139m to construct two boreholes at the Lagos House, Ikeja, when he was governor.
There had been speculations that the reports were being sponsored by Tinubu as part of efforts to discredit him and deny him the opportunity of being appointed a minister by President Muhammadu Buhari.
However, Tinubu said the allegations against him (Tinubu), were the handiworks of mischief makers sponsored by the PDP.
The statement partly read, “The PDP is just recently out of office at the federal level and it built a vast, unprecedented financial war chest to contest the elections. The residual of that war chest is still at work, buying media space to plant rumours in hopes of spreading discord through the APC. “Thus, the enemy camp may be a minority but it is a large and well-funded one that knows it only chance lies in us attacking ourselves.”
The APC leader said he had nothing against his successor, Fashola. He said Fashola served the state meritoriously for eight years.
He, therefore, condemned those calling for Fashola’s probe.
He said any criticism of Fashola was an indictmentvon him because he was instrumental to making Fashola governor.
He said, “Our political opponents now try to steal victory when their only entitlement is resounding defeat. Having fared woefully with the electorate, their game plan is to sow discord within the ranks of the party the people had chosen to lead them.
The PDP hopes to strike a division in the APC, in that way weakening us and our ability to govern. “This brings me to recent developments in the Lagos political scene. Born of this motley stew is the recent gossip mongering that I have wilfully instigated false and negative reports against former Governor Fashola to thwart him from being appointed to a major post in the Buhari administration. “I want to declare clearly and categorically that these rancid attacks do not come from me nor do I endorse them. Neither my hand nor my heart is in these mean submissions. I deplore them. “An attack against the performance of Governor Fashola is indirectly an attack against me and the edifice of achievements we have constructed in leading Lagos State out of a protracted time of stagnation and into an era of sustained progress and development.” He said he and Fashola will forever remain close because they had struggled together. He said having ensured that his party retained Lagos for over 16 years, it would be unwise of him to pull down what he helped build. He added, “I for one will not bend to the artificial provocation of those seeking to tear at what we have painstakingly built over the years. In my mind, Governor Fashola and I alliance is unshakeable and our journey must not be interrupted. I would no more attack his character or his administration than I would attack myself.
