Politics / Re: Second Niger Bridge Is Not 2km. by kcjazz(m): 4:28pm On Sep 16, 2015
How will the bridge end in Obosi or Ozubulu?
Haba!

Have you seen the contract or government press release?

The bridge was highly inflated simple. The only argument you can even make is it has more lanes but even at that labour is cheaper in Anambra.
How do you justify the tolls?

More importantly blame the Igbo political leaders who will do anything to throw their people under the bus.

Word of mouth marketing is the oldest and effective means of spreading the word on products. With social media, websites are not always needed plus IT giys makebit complicated anyway
Politics / Re: S’east Govs Goofed On Radio Biafra – APGA National Chairman by kcjazz(m): 6:32pm On Jul 12, 2015
The problem has always been leadership. The Igbos are not producing enough leaders. The old men are busy chasing dreams. Biafra cannot stand. Even if Nigeria says Igbos goeth away, nothing will happen. It is not by militancy and radio but unfortunately we don't learn.
Politics / Re: How Can Nigeria Produce An Ibo President? by kcjazz(m): 2:25pm On Apr 23, 2015
We are not producing enough young political leaders.

If a Soludo cannot win in Anambra, then its gonna be a long walk. Why can't our tecnocrats win elections at home? Every major tribe has a person that grows into the Presidency. For the North people like Sule Lamido or even Tambuwal is grooming himself now. Fashola has national appeal. If you are not a former Military guy then the path is through been a Governor. Nigerians are demanding more but if you are an Ochendo how can you ever become President.

Achieve in your state first and ambition to be a President will match the right opportunity.

Politics / Re: Does Government Providing Electricity Automatically Equate to Job Creation? by kcjazz(m): 4:34pm On Apr 09, 2015
esere826:

good argument ..but
Factories don't close if the cost of doing business is high
they close if they are not competitive.

Competiveness in turn is dependent on many factors including its cost relative to profit and revenue, and the environment the business competes in

If a business spends 1 billion on energy and makes 1 trillion profit, it wont close shop easily except the environment forces it to

Really? You can compete based on cost like Southwest Airlines or even Apple. Cost and profit is relative. In 2007 Lehman Brothers posted profits of 6billion dollars. That is 50 times what Manchester United earned that same year, by 2008 Lehman brothers was no more.
The issue is if as a business there is a cheaper efficient means to run then grab it. It doesn't matter what profits you making. It is why many banks run inverters to power Atms.
Will better energy solve unemployment? Largely yes. You can hire better people to help innovate to stay competitive, the catch is better soup na money kill am. There are so many factors to these unemployment issue and power is huge. Save money to stay competitive.

Are "flexible energy" sources healthier? Have you considered lost man power hours due to illness? Do you also know that respiratory illnesses are one of the highest in Nigeria? The costs cannot be justified in any way for generators. Alternative like PHCN are cheaper.

If the cost of doing business is high factories will close. At night I need security lights on, I only have a 15kva generator. I don't have the grid light. At low productivity, now I run my generator overnight to keep the fridge on and for security. It burns fuel irrespective of the capacity. Pollutes the environment as well.

Phcn and their likes all over the world are monopolies because of the infrastructure costs, prices come down based on scale. The only way generators can be cheaper is if they are all connected to the grid and excess capacities shared among consumers. That is not possible.

Companies should consider alternative sources like solar to cut costs

Understandably, the battle ground is not a place to read weapon users manual. But we budget every year past for military, shouldn't that include training. Its a huge shame really. Well lets pray it works out I just hope they don't decamp to BH if the pay is better, you never can tell these things. Patriotism matters

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: How To Answer The Question "Why Do You Want To Change Your Current Job" by kcjazz(m): 7:42pm On Feb 19, 2015
Always be positive.

You can answer, I have enjoyed (or is been great) working with my current company but this opportunity interests me and aligns with the next step in my career plan. (Have a plan o, incase the snoopy interviewer asks grin). Then add what makes this new company great like if its for Guinness eg, I have a great interest in Orijin it is a fascinating product bla bla bla and I would love to be part of this team. In Lagos, it could even be traffic issues like I live in Mowe and commute to Ogombo plus 2 toll gates

Never ever say...
My other job sucks.
My manager is a wicked somebody
They dont appreciate their staff
My village witches know their address
Incase of Guiness, dont say I need small stout discounts tongue Be wise

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: These Are The Questions That Made Me Fail/lost The Interview by kcjazz(m): 2:00pm On Jan 30, 2015
1. Align your strenght to the job descriptions. Eg as an accountant paying attention to details is a strength. Your weakness same thing but show you are working on it. Again choose a positive weakness, na weakness dey ask not character. Again for an accountant, dont say I lie alot. Dude you are handling companies money at least be honest grin Lieing alot is a negative weakness. A positive one could be issues like work life balance etc

2. Unionism depends on the company's policy. Do they have a union? If no then say no interest tongue. If yes, just state your beliefs that everyone should earn a decent wage and be treated fairly but employees must also play their role to move the company forward. Infact this answer can work both ways. So do your research before going for interviews.

3. Yeah you should have other skills. Do you volunteer? Love reading or writing? Come on company needs to know someone is there to lead other impromptu projects

Goodluck next time

2nd Niger bridge election promise in 1999, 2003, 2007, 2011 and 2015. Am sure even in 1993 it was an election promise. I have said it before unless Anambra state comes up and build that bridge then its a long thing

Its a shame that the Nigerian president sneeks into a Nigerian state while the opposition has published there campaign schedule and travel plans. Would be nice to hold a rally in Maidugiri, its all about the votes I guess. Who is managing this guys campaign?

Politics / Re: Nairaland Hardtalk: Who Gains Politically from BOKO HARAM? GEJ or GMB? by kcjazz(m): 11:14pm On Jan 14, 2015
GEJ gains
1. Elections might not hold in Borno. GMB loses almost a million vote

2. If elections don't hold, a winner cannot be declared. Meaning, incumbent can buy more time. This is why APC Amaechi said they will run a parallel government, they said that from a winning position.

3. With his desperation, GEJ if he loses can make excuses for this failure to say well Boko Haram was a plot to end his reign

Nigeria ultimately will gain a focused leadership smiley
