First of, I know this story is complete.
I think for a woman to raise her hand to slap an elder who's also her husband's mom, it means she has no regard for her biological mother. And if that's the case her infertility issue cannot be farfetched. She might be suffering what she drew to herself.

Moreso, just like some very sensible persons have said already, it is wrong to keep your mom and wife in the same house especially as there's an issue like this on ground and they aint best fellas.

You don't need to divorce your wife. You just need to be a MAN. You are a father and husband to both your wife and mother. Be a man. Don't pick sides while addressing the issue in front of them.

You're somewhat right...I think these guys just take advantage of JJCs or those they suppose don't know their way around

The OP has never crossed the 9ja bridge. Na only JJC dey enter this one. Abeg shift. Talk some sense.

Agbero no dey onitsha.

Call it the native name. You cant use yoruba to call igbo boys in parks name.

In the east we buy ticket from nnewi to most part. There is more organization. Your pay all your dues in the loading point. No one stops the bus for main road except police.

Come to lagos you see things.

When people from south south and southeast come to lagos for the first time and the agbero on the road some will think its armed robbery.

Owo mi da-- where is my money.

You will hear
Owo chairman
Owo security
Owo turning
Owo iyawo chairman
Everuday they manufacture new reasons to collect money.
No organization or organic road transport.
Every is just raving mad

Jobs/Vacancies / Somethings You Should Know When Typing Your CV by kelblaze(m): 8:12pm On Feb 12, 2020
Good day Nairalanders,
For a while now I've been opportune to be in the recruitment panel of my company. Apart from being in the recruitment panel I'm also the one who sends messages to applicants inviting them for interview and afterwards send Congratulatory message as well as message asking them those who were selected to either come for a second interview or bring their Guarantors (Depending on the position applied for).
That being said, I'll highlight some things from my experience that I feel could help you while applying for a job.

A. After typing your CV especially in business centres or Cafe, proofread your work and make sure your phone number and other details are correct. Also, ensure you add all your reachable phone numbers and if you're going to submit your CV with an application letter ensure you write at least two active numbers. It'll be a lot more good if both numbers are of different networks; if possible write the numbers on the letter, below your name and on the envelope also. Reason being that most persons numbers unknown to them are on DND (Do not Disturb)automatically, so when a message is sent to that number through a bulk SMS site or an unknown number it doesn't go through.

B. It is not every company or organisation that has the time to read application letters and go through CVs and all of that so If you receive an SMS asking you to come for an interview for a job you willingly applied for; my advice is that you show up at least 10-15mins before the said time. This will help you study the environment, organise yourself, kill over anxiety and nervousness and build your confidence. From my experience overtime, the first 5 -10 persons who come in for an interview have an open floor and are given time to answer questions how best they can except of course the individual (applicant) didn't prepare for the interview.

DontBeStupid:
But why aboki go dey teach english sef

Make students no come dey write "chip whip" o...

...That he is 'Mallam' doesn't make him an 'aboki'. He's an Edo man from Auchi.
Mallam is one of the Best lecturers in English dept., AAU; very sound, intelligent and doesn't tolerate nonsense.
Someone said earlier on that there are three sides to a story. I think we should wait to hear his version before nailing him to the cross.
Mallam will not just slap a student. He was my lecturer and taught me from 200-400L and was the department's Exam Officer (WATCH DOG) during my time. I'm not defending the fact he slapped two females but at least he should be given a fair hearing.

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Accept This Job Offer Or Continue Job Hunting??? by kelblaze(m): 3:00pm On Oct 02, 2019
Ghostty:
Hello All.

I have been visiting this site as a guest for 2years, but today I had to sign up as a member. I do not intend to write so much, so permit me to go straight to the point.

I graduated in 2017 from one of the federal university in the South and finished my NYSC last year April. Ever since I have been hunting for jobs so to keep body and soul, I have written hundreds of job exams and attended several interviews but none has yielded any positive result yet.

Last month a friend of mine whose Uncle works in a Chinese Steel Production Company told me about an opening in the Marketing department of the company, he told me they were recruiting for the role of a Purchaser and a Sales Executive and advised that I should go submit my CV for consideration.

I did as advised and the following day I was called for a test. On getting there, I met three(3) other guys who also came for the same purpose. The Chinese HR guy came and administered the test and afterwards only two of us passed and were asked to come back the next day for the oral interview.

The next day I went for the interview and after being drilled and asked several questions I was offered the job. But my zeal and interest for the Job died the moment I was told the job conditions and pay.

Working hours are from 7am to 6pm daily, Monday to Saturday including public holidays. All these for a monthly pay of 35k

I was given the offer letter to take home to sign if I agree with the conditions and return it this coming Monday to resume work.

My fellow Nairalanders, would you advise that I take this job offer considering the conditions attached or reject it and continue job hunting hoping that one day favour would smile on me I am confused, please help a brother cry

Please help a brother push this to FP so I can get all the advice I need as much as possible. Thank you.
It might just favour you in the end. Like someone earlier said 'take the job and start from somewhere. Don't be surprised the 35k is just a test to see if you're actually after the pay or you're ready to work
