Guys can someone help explain the new criteria for caegory A? I saw something about 1 class issued in January 2018 ( issued january 2019 for applications after March 2021) I would appreciate more clarification please

try HS Bremerhaven (Process Engineering and Energy Technology) Technical Hochschule in Hamburg (Chemical and Bioprocess Engineering), there is also TUBerlin (Process, Energy and Environmental Systems Engineering) and TUDortmund also (Chemical Engineering) if u can write gre.

Well I was at the German Consulate today together with other applicants. I did the count, 15 students in all and 4 out of the 15 came for their student visa interview and they were all on scholarship. What does that tell you guys ? They are selectively picking out the scholarship guys and prioritizing their visa application.

If you are a new applicant for the future " abeg " try to get scholarship if you want to fall in the super category A. Easy access, no stress.

And when we asked they said they have not started giving appointment so who are they students being attended to " Scholarship" guys.

this was the same thing i was told when i called d lagos consulate this morning, the lady asked if i had scholarship, i said no but i qualify for category A, she said i should keep checking when they update their website but how long is someone going to wait for, i told her my enrollment deadline is fast approaching she said there's nothing to be done but for me to wait, they are joking with someone's psyche here if they dont know oh. if they dont want to attend to students again they should talk n let us focus energy somewhere else.

abeg if there is anyone with link on how we can reach our foreign minister or ambassador to Germany, let them please help us get across to them to talk to these people at that consulate, i dont see any justification behind this seeming wickedness, we have waited for international flights to resume n still nothing, admissions are about to be lost again, many schools are planning to resume by october, this is so not fair.

I got admission at LSM in berlin Germany, I have paid my school fees and course enrollment fee, the school have even sent me the certificate of presence, and I have sent an email regarding that to the embassy, I even canceled the appointment I booked since May and I have booked another appointment yesterday, since the school said they will be start with on line class by October 6th till say December when the campus will resume campus lectures proper. so i called the german Embassy in abuja about the AD thing just now, i got a response that they have not resumed visa processing for students, i asked if I should cancel the former booking i made in april, he said i should and reapply again. its all really confusing though cause i don't know if the same thing applies to the Embassy in Lagos, i called those ones first but no good response, like the woman even forwarded my call and went mute.

if u r in Lagos and around Ikeja try Sheban Sprachschule, just inside computer village. a very good place to learn and score well in the Goethe test.

to be honest the cgpa is quite low for a masters in an engineering related program, so i would advise you apply for a bachelor's degree instead, u can use your 100 level transcript to apply. best wishes!

its a test u take as a foreigner to know your level of understanding, more like a gre test, but it is majorly used by the embassy to know if u r academically sound enough to be given a study visa.

I only got admitted to Aberdeen, nothing more. Didn't hear from Shell or I don't know the process to relate with shell. I've forgotten the course sef but it's the course relating to the scholarship about renewable energy/oil and gas

U qualify for category A, u can check d consulate's website for more info, as for booking, u may book down but with travel restrictions nobody knows yet when appointment dates will be given.
But i would advise u go ahead and book down.

Got a mail from uni-assist that my documents is yet to be forwarded to the university I'm applying to due to a missing documents (Grading system) that they are unable to convert my cgpa to German grades that I need to send them my university grading system, in which I have responded to the email by sending the grading system to them..

Please How long does it take uni assist to process a missing documents so my documents can be sent to the school?

if u have sent all you are supposed to send, they will process accordingly n send ur documents within weeks i guess

you should consider reading the thread from d beginning, like start from number 1, all the steps r already discussed there.

but if ur question is about how the covid-19 is going to affect things, well schools have already started applications for winter semester, so you can apply and lets all hope the situation gets better soon.

Whether or not you edit your SOP, selling it to the panel is the most important thing. You won't be graded based on what you wrote but how you sold it. Infact, they will grade you immediately you leave the panel.

During my time, I was with them, when they graded the last person that did before me. All of them will grade you and I think the average will be your score.

Like someone said above, study your SoP very well, and sell it well. Let your SoP and your defense be top notch.

please the school i applied for want's me to go through uni-assist portal for the application but on uni assist i can't find the school name or the course, what do i do please ??

type into the search box the key words for your course, you should see it there.
if your course is for the winter semester and applications have not yet been approved by the school, it may not be there until when applications are approved.

I would cancel that appointment so someone else who's qualified can have it.

There are others who are qualified for CAT A but don't have a date yet.

Lol... My school refused me extension and I was starting same October. So I couldn't appeal. Funny enough, I was about booking flight then.

The one that broke my heart was the VO that interviewed me. This lady is very crafty and shrewd. You need to see the way she was saying nice things to me and I was smiling like a goat not knowing this woman was doing what she was trained for. E.g

actually one should cover both, but since you have to send the application form along, it doesn't cost you anything to just certify both and send since it is free at the embassy.

But just one certified copy of all your necessary documents should cover all subsequent applications.

Tell them to go with the invitation print out slip, nysc id card and call up letter, with other necessary documents as stated in the mail
