Okay Folks, my story....

Decided to use paper route...last minute i found out that lagos vfs office is a jankara market,rerouted flight to abuja...arrived VFS abuja on the 22nd to meet office locked for victoria holidays. Resheduled flight and incurred and extra bill at the hotel.
Submitted forms and passport plus biometrics on 22/5/2018. Paid for passport to be Couriered. passport was sent to me on the 8th of june and received 11/6/2018.

canada says i havent satisfied them i would not leave canada. I was denied based on family ties in canada and purpose of visit.

My learning: its just luck or favour if you prefer that. i felt i had put in an honest and credible application. There is no chance for an interview so it is tied to someones discretion. Dont be discouraged...put in your best and hope for the best.

As for me, i will look for where to spend that two weeks with my family.

So sorry about this

Please my Canadian resident hubby will be home by December, and we would like to apply for US visa for our little one(3months). Would she required of an interview? And can DH go with her for the interview instead of me

If your husband is indeed schooling and working in Canada, you are better off heading that way, for numerous reasons. Having said that, going through your posts, it does seem you've had several challenges in trying to get different visas on different occasions, and for that reason, I would suggest stepping back a bit and taking a bit of a breather. Here's the thing: as the spouse of a Canadian student/worker, there's a number of perfectly legitimate ways to get to join your husband, whether it's through an SOWP, Spousal Open Work Permit, for which there is a thread here on NL; or through having him do the PR thing for you and the kid once he's gotten his own PR. Again, there's threads for that on here as well. It won't matter then where the child was born, if your concern is citizenship, as I imagine. I may be biased, but frankly, with free health care, lower tuition, an official commitment to diversity and multiculturalism, a top tier educational system in which both immigrant and non-immigrant children do equally well, etc., etc., that child will do way better 'north of the 49th parallel', aka, Canada. Plus they'll have the ability to live and work freely south of the 49th, if they so wish (Nafta permitting, lol). I mean sure, it can get freezing cold, depending where you are, but you know what- just dress warm, conquer it and before you know it, you'll be feeling pretty cool like, 'yes, I stared down yet another Canadian winter and survived!'
Alright, I know this thread is firmly in the camp of our cousins down south, aka the stars and stripes, aka the greatest smiley, so before I get the stars and stripes shaken in my face for daring to make such claims, I'll exit with one last shake of the red and white maple leaf, and one last thought: relax, take your time working to get to join your husband, sort out whatever the visa refusal issues were in the past (hopefully you kept your submissions legit, which will make your life easier) and your child will be fine. All the best.

Thank you so much for the advice. God bless you

Good evening house and d gurus! Nice work you're doing here! I have few questions/advice
My visa application was refused on Thursday, I think I got it all wrong when d VO asked me what DH does for a living and I truthfully answered that he schools and work in Canada.. the VO then asked why US and not canada, but due to d tension building within me, d VO wasn't satisfied with my answer. But what I failed to tell the VO was that I actually withdrew my Canada TRV a week prior to my US interview and of which I have a letter from d embassy to back it up..

Now a friend is suggesting I reschudle another interview, arm myself with d letter from Canada embassy, the hospital is willing to give me a supporting letter and convince the VO... please do you think this is a good idea? As am due in September

Thanks in anticipation of replies

Both correct, but using the hospital spells out your purpose of travel much more clearly and is much more advisable to use too.

Thank you

@Kennei

In my opinion. Use the doctor as contact person that's if you have an appointment letter from the doctor. Then as per address you can use your uncle's place as long as hes a legal resident and you have a letter of invitation.

Thank you so much

@ ken. Sorry about your refusal. When did you get a mail from VFS. Ken let me advice you . You dnt need to reapply because they will not give you. What you need do now is to build your travelling history . Let me tell you what worked for me. When I was refused a uk visa , cous of lack of documentation. I didn't reapply immediately, I started to build my salary account. And after a year of refusal(uk visa). I traveled to southafrica, ghana and Kenya. Den when I returned after some few months I reapplied for uk. I made sure my family friend invited me. He sent me all the necessary documents I needed to apply. My application took a while I was also called for an interview at the British embassy. Few days after the interview I was contact by VFS to come pick up my passport. Got 6 months visa . As at den. After that I got my usa visa and now my Canada visa. So Now I have uk usa and Canada visas. I will advise you build your travelling history go apply for southafrica, reapply for ur uk. With full documentation. Travel to uk and come back. Apply to usa. Travel n come back den fire back at Canada.

I got the mail this morning after I checked online...Thank you very much! I will work on that

Ok, no problem! Ow long heart attack u need?? 4 months? 6months? 1 year? And at what time of the day will you prefer it? Lol

You will not and we will NEVER help you develop any form of heart attack biko! grin
You did a good thing, so worry less. You can now see updates on your application having linked it. All communication from CIC will be from your account. You should be checking your mail regularly for a notification of an update(if you ticked d box for notification in your acct) as well as the account. Relax, everything is in order.

grin cheesy don't mind me! Thank you for the information... God bless you

@kokorita,

I got an invite from my cousin, and he stated that he'll bear all cost of expenses during my stay, as I will be staying in his apartment... He also stated that I'll be visiting him for the Easter celebrations/annual leave from work.
I was refused UK visa based on insufficient funds and I didn't include personal Bank Statement as I was in d university when I applied, my uncle was supposed to sponsor the trip back then. As regards d documents, I will upload them as soon as I can.

Good evening everyone, I've been a silent reader/follower of this thread for some while... I submitted my application via paper route on 15th Feb, and I got a mail acknowledging my accepted application... Please I would like to enquire some things, I was refused UK entry visa thrice over the years which I stated on my application form along with reasons, I hope this refusals wouldn't affect my application as this is my first time of applying for Canadian visa without any travel history, and with a fresh virgin passport... Thanks for the replies in advance.
