Politics / An Open Letter To President Buhari by KesaaKingsKen(m): 1:22pm On Oct 14, 2020 |
AN OPEN LETTER TO PRESIDENT MOHAMMADU BUHARI GCFR Mr. President, RE: EXCLUSION OF THE SOUTH EAST IN THE RECENT SUPREME COURT JUSTICES AND NOMINATION OF LAURETTE ONOCHIE AS INEC COMMISSIONER. According to my research, the Federal Character Commission (FCC) is a Federal Executive body established by Act No 34 of 1996 to implement and enforce the Federal Character Principle of fairness and equity in the distribution of public posts and socio-economic infrastructures among the various federating units of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. The provisions of the 1999 Constitution in Sections 14 and 153 consolidated the establishment of the FCC for operation in a democratic system of Government. One of the Federal Character Commission duty is to work out an equitable formula, subject to the approval of the President, for the distribution of all cadres of posts in the civil and public service of the Federation and of the State, the armed forces, the Nigerian Police Force and other security agencies, bodies corporate owned by the federal or a State Government and Extra-Ministerial Departments and parastatals of the Federation and States. FCC MISSION Chanelling public investments towards sustainable development. FCC VISION Achieving sustainable national consciouness to which all Citizens can subscribe with conviction. Mr. President, I took time to remind you of the above, simply because from all indications, also putting your body language into consideration, with due respect, you obviously do not understand what the Commission entails. Since you assumed office as the 'primus inter pares' of this great country, you have without mincing words, clearly violated the Constitution, something you took an oath to protect. The submission of the names of some Justices of the Supreme Court for ratification and approval by the Senate and conspicuously neglecting the South East, is an affront. May I remind you that in 2015, you bluntly told not just Nigerians but the entire world that you do not belong to anybody but belong to everybody. You just succeeded in hoodwinking us and that is not leadership. The sole reason why I am saying this is for you to understand that this is the architect of the agitations we have in the South East. Mr. President, you are making the South Easterners think and believe they are not part of this nation and should look elsewhere. It is worthy to note that the Attorney General of highly developed country like Canada, is an Imo State citizen and as such, competency and credibility lives with us. I humbly urge you to have a rethink and carry everyone along, as you should be the President of all. Unfortunately, while I was battling with the lopesided list of Justices of the Supreme Court, you stroke not just me but the entire nation with the nomination of your former Aide as a Federal Commissioner in the 'supposed' prestigious Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC). Mr. President, It is a crystal fact of law that Item F, Paragraph 14 of the third Schedule of the 1999 Constitution (as amended) clearly forbids a card-carrying member of a political party to be a member of INEC. Aside being a card-carrying member of your political party, the manner at which she discharged her duties then, can be best described as irresponsible. No doubt, she remains the 'Sycophant-In-Chief' of your administration. Such persons should not have a place near you if you truly mean business of governance. Mr. President, her nomination is against the Constitution of the country and you should know better. I also humbly urge you to withdraw her nomination as she is not qualified for such sensitive job as INEC Commissioner. Making Nigeria great again which was why Nigerians brought you into power, though a herculean task, can be made easy if you follow tenaciously the laws of the land. God bless Nigeria. AN OPEN LETTER TO PRESIDENT MOHAMMEDU BUHARI GCFR RE: HIKE IN FUEL PUMP PRICE AND ELECTRICITY TARIFF BY: KENKWO, KESAANDU KINGSLEY Dear Mr. President, It is with a heavy heart filled with anger and pain that I write you once again concerning the state of the nation, viz-a-viz the hike in price of PMS and Electricity tariff respectively. Sir, I wish to state bluntly that i am so disappointed that yet again, such unfortunate policy will be done under your nose. Mr. President, it beats my imagination when such policies are being allowed to see the light of the day under your leadership. Were you not the same man who in strong terms condemned the Goodluck Jonathan's administration when there was an increase in the fuel pump price? Are you not the same Mr. Buhari who promised Nigerians 'change' back in 2015? Are you not the same man who toured the 36states of the federation telling Nigerians how the pump price of fuel will fall drastically under your leadership? Are you not the same man who vowed to make life more meaningful for Nigerians? Mr. President, did you actually lie to us? Mr. President, no matter how much these sycophants around you may praise you for this action, have it at the back of your mind that it is just a step in the wrong direction but also a terrible one Quite disheartening that these two important commodities were given to Nigerians by God to enjoy and have peace of mind, but with most of your actions, you have made life so unbearable for the common citizens of Nigeria. You increased VAT which has a direct negative impact on us, as if it was not enough, you came with this. At your quiet time, think of any policy of yours that has a direct positive impact on the citizens as you have these ones with direct negative impacts on us? I am certain that you will come up with an open apology to Nigerians. In one of the open letters I have written to you, I made it very clear that at this time of your life, holding such a sensitive position like the number one citizen of Nigeria, you should do things right that will be acceptable in the sight of God and most importantly those of men because Vox Populi Vox Dei. It also worthy to note that Nigerians are suffering and shall be sent to more sufferings with excruciating pains, courtesy of these policies of yours. Nigeria is supposed to be the giant of Africa not just in mere words but in the standard of living of her citizens but without mincing wordts, we will be honoured if referred to as the rabbit of Africa courtesy of how you have treated. Even if this hike must be done, why won't you wait putting into consideration all we have passed through as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic? This is high level of being inconsiderate. Mr. President, I must say that we have been ill-used by you. Sir, let me also remind you that there is no justification whatsoever for this act of wickedness on the same by you stood in your sparkling white cloth and swore to protect and keep their interest first. Have you forgotten you are on oath? I know those enemies of Nigeria know and unknown to you are shaking you saying you have done noble, but note it that the bad names will be to you not even them. Sir, I am not crying for what is holding me to leave me but for the whole world to hear my voice. If you are still sincere on all you said to make Nigeria better, I think you should as a matter of urgency and paramount necessity, halt this policy and bring the fuel pump price to ninety naira(N90) and bring down the electricity tariff and also mandate them, from the generation stations to the distribution stations to ensure we have adequate power supply to derive our businesses which helps to improve our economy, as we deserve the best. Mr. President, the pain is excruciating, the suffering is unbearable and we can not continue to die in our own father's land. Kindly remember that you won't be the President forever and there is posterity to judge all your actions. All I ask is for you to think about the common citizens of Nigeria first, and also remember that you are supposed to belong to everybody. NIGERIA BELONGS TO US AND WE MUST MAKE IT BETTER. AN OPEN LETTER TO PRESIDENT MOHAMMADU BUHARI GCFR By KENKWO, KESAANDU KINGSLEY Dear Mr. President, RE: 2020 REVISED BUDGET On Tuesday, the 8th day of October, 2019, you submitted your first budget to the joint session of the 9th National Assembly. I was glad you tagged it, 'Budget of Sustaining Growth and Job Creation' which to a reasonable extent made me confident that things will work again. First, i wish to express my disappointment towards the position of Education, Agriculture and Health in the 2020 budget as regards the funds allocated to these critical sectors compared to that, for the renovation of the National Assembly complex. This is core misplacement of priority. It was so disheartening that while most Nigerians complain on your lack of interest on critical sector like Health as shown in the budget, the Covid-19 pandemic struck the world and Nigeria was not left out. It was as if all of us who tried to call you to order were Nostradamus, as we foresaw what might happen in future. We appreciate the fall in oil price as a result of some global oil politics and the unfortunate Covid-19 pandemic. As expected, the value of dollar against naira rose and we saw the fall of oil price from your initial budget of $57 per barrel to $30 barrel. I and many reasonable Nigerians, quite understand that there shall be some level of adjustments in the budget. However, we thought and believed that it would change your scale of preference as Health, Education and Agricultural sectors shall be topmost and given priority, considering the reality on ground. Surprisingly, in the 2020 revised budget proposal, while the National Assembly complex renovation budget was reduced to N27.7bn (a reduction of 25.1 per cent), the Basic Health Care Provision Fund (BHCPF), which is meant to cater for all the primary healthcare centres across the 774 local government areas in the country, was significantly reduced by N44.4bn to N25.5bn, a decrease of more than 42.5 per cent. This clearly shows that you do not understand what direction the world is going as at today. It is also an indication that your advisers are not on ground with extent of decay in certain critical sectors of our economy like the Heath, which has manifested in the way we are fighting the dreaded Corona Virus, that is ravaging our nation today. Your Excellency, as at today, according to the NCDC Twitter account, Nigeria has recorded 11166 cases with 315 deaths. It baffles me tremendously how you gave priority to the renovation of the National Assembly complex as against the Education and Health of your people. This can not only be described as unfortunate but also high level of insensitive to the yearnings and aspirations of the people. All over the world, countries are voting so much in their Health sector so as to properly guide their citizens because when wealth is lost, nothing is lost but when health is lost, something great if not everything is lost. Your Excellency, Nigeria for now, is the only country we can call our own and we must do everything within our capacity to make it better. My fear is that, if the next generation meets this country like this, our souls may not rest in peace as they will never stop cursing us for making Nigeria unhabitable for them. If you carefully listen to the submissions of most Nigerians on the various electronic, print and social media platforms, you will understand that you are not on the right path as regards this 2020 budget and its fund allocations. Sir, what matters most is the commendation you get from the common Nigerians whom you swore to protect and not these potbellied men who do not mean well for you, your administration and the country at large through their sycophantic lifestyle and advises. Like other countries of the world, post Covid-19 era will be highly terrible as there will be scarcity of food. It is therefore necessary that Agriculture , Health and Education should be given priority. It is on this, that I make the following recommendations to you. 1) Have a total review of the budget and ensure that sectors like Health, Education and Agriculture are given the most attention as they will be topmost on your scale of preference. 2) Suspend the renovation of the National Assembly complex for 2022 budget. 3) Immediately, share the 27.7bn from the proposed renovation of the National Assembly complex amongst the three critical sectors of Health, Education and Agriculture, respectively. 4)Personally monitor the implementation of budget in these three critical sectors aforementioned so as to achieve the desired result of making Nigerians comfortable. Your Excellency, despite all economic paper works that are unrealistic on ground, the essence of the budget annually, is to meet the numerous challenges of Nigerians to a reasonable cum huge extent. If the common citizens die as a result of poor medical care, illiteracy and hunger, what will be the essence of the NASS building? If we have functional health centers across the 774 local government areas of the federation, Nigerians shall never forget you. If our primary, secondary and tertiary institutions are given required attentions, posterity shall forever judge you right. If there is sufficient food supply in the country, thereby saying goodbye to hunger, your name shall be forever immortalized. My dear President, it is therefore with a sincere heart for the good, growth and development of Nigeria, that I humbly send you this letter, hoping that out of your fraternal love for Nigerians, will see reasons with me to implement the above recommendations. Always remember that you are occupying the highest position of the land and it will be by virtue of your last tenure, your last opportunity to write your name in gold in the sands of time. Kindly listen to the voice of reason. Making Nigeria Great Again Is Our Collective Responsibility. Kenkwo, Kesaandu Kingsley (KKK) President, Ihitte/Uboma Youth Forum. Nairaland / General / Stay At Home: Real Warning To Nigerian Leaders by KesaaKingsKen(m): 10:54pm On Apr 04, 2020 |
STAY AT HOME: REAL WARNING TO NIGERIAN LEADERS By Kenkwo, Kesaandu Kingsley The outbreak of the Corona Virus disease has further exposed the incompetent and insincere nature of the government of Nigeria not to develop the various sectors of our economy, mostly health. Overtime, Nigerians have complained over the laissez-faire attitude of their leaders, mostly as it concerns looking inwards to develop the country. With taxpayers money, at the slightest headache, they flew abroad with their families to get sound and quality medical care, leaving our health sector in a very sorry cum deplorable condition and this, nfortunately, It has become a norm for our political office holders who are saddled with the responsibility of giving the entire citizens quality health care. Because neither they nor their family members can ever patronize our hospitals at home, hence, they neither care about the welfare of health workers nor equip our hospitals. When the Covid-19 pandemic broke out, there was a global instruction to 'STAY AT HOME' as a major way to avoid the spread of the dreaded Corona Virus and Nigeria was not an exception, as the enforcement is even becoming something else. Today, Covid-19 has struck us and abroad is no longer safe and our 'abroad traveling leaders' are so afraid of leaving the shores of the country. Surprisingly, most of our Governors, under one week, furnished and equipped isolation centres, as it has now done on them that we must STAY AT HOME. This global instruction of 'STAY AT HOME', is a clear warning to the leadership of this country to look inwards and rejuvenate the various sectors of our economy, mostly health. Our leaders must see every position held as an opportunity to serve, not just humanity but God. Today, abroad is no longer safe and the only hope is to stay safe is to STAY AT HOME. Remember, no matter where you go or live, home is always the best. NIGERIA MUST BE BETTER... THIS IS MY PRAYER. Politics / Treat Covid-19 Like War; Stay At Home by KesaaKingsKen(m): 9:03pm On Apr 02, 2020 |
TREAT COVID-19 LIKE WAR; STAY AT HOME By Kenkwo, Kesaandu Kingsley It is so unfortunate that the dreaded Corona Virus has befallen Nigeria. The major challenge is that the leadership of this country had all the time in the world to protect our nation from Covid-19, but were not proactive and responsible to do the needful. Well, there is no need to cry over spilt milk, as the virus is already here with us. As we have all known the mode by which one can contact this virus, the best way to avoid the spread is by staying indoors and social distancing. Though, I have blamed the Presidency for their lackadaisical attitude of not providing the citizens with required relief materials to cushion the effects of staying at home. I have also advised state governments to pay salaries and pensions to workers and pensioners respectively as it will go along way to minimize the pain that will come with staying at home. Frankly speaking, the way citizens of this country are fighting not to obey the stay at home instruction of the government, baffles me tremendously. The recent clash between some youths of Warri and the Soldiers is another challenge that will claim more lives before the disease hits badly, but God have mercy. Many have argued that hunger will kill them if the nation is completely shutdown, which led to the Federal Government allowing citizens to buy and sell from 10am-2pm daily. This might seem nice to some persons, but no doubt, a simple way of spreading the virus as gatherings are highly prohibited, if the disease must be fought to a standstill. During serious wars, people do not go to markets in the name of trying to fight hunger, as no one would want to be exposed to the enemies. Covid-19 pandemic is our enemy as at today. I encourage all citizens to see Corona Virus as the third world war enemy, that everyone must run inside for safety and protection as it is seriously sophisticated and armed to the teeth. No doubt that it will not be easy with most Nigerians but contacting the disease is a problem of its own, as we are not medically equipped to take care of infected persons, considering the state of our health sector. As I advice the government at all levels to help provide and distribute food items to citizens, I equally advise our people to save themselves if government fails to be responsible and proactive. My people, Corona Virus has the capacity to wipe out the entire citizens of this country from the surface of the earth. I pray that God Almighty and through the intercession of Our Holy Mother Mary, shall not allow it to hit us like other countries of Europe and America. If developed countries can witness such death in thousands, what will be the fate of Nigeria? It is only the living and healthy that feeds or do business. Let us all see Covid-19 pandemic as a war that we must all run into hiding and fight from our homes. We have so many challenges and problems ravaging this country and would not allow Covid-19 to annihilate us. Remember, he who fights and runs away, lives to fight another day. My people, obey the rules and regulations of government and stay at home. Remember the story of the oak and the pine trees. MAY GOD PROTECT AND BLESS NIGERIA. Kenkwo, Kesaandu Kingsley (KKK) President, Ihitte/Uboma Youth Forum. |
Politics / An Open Letter To The President Ohaneze Ndi Igbo by KesaaKingsKen(m): 11:24am On Feb 13, 2020 |
AN OPEN LETTER TO THE PRESIDENT OHANEZE NDI IGBO RE: SOUTH EAST REGIONAL SECURITY By: KENKWO, KESAANDU KINGSLEY Mr. President, I want to start by commending Ohaneze Ndi Igbo socio-cultural group for their interest in the welfare of Ndi Igbo mostly as it concerns security with their call for us to have our own regional security like the North and West to complement the efforts of main security outfits like the Military, Police and NSCDC. Sir, we appreciate how you called the South East Governors for them to understand the importance of this with regards to the killings mostly by the Fulani herdsmen. Governor Dave Umahi at some point, told us that the Yorubas copied Operation Amotekun from them, saying it was their idea. This took our hopes high that our leaders are about living up to their primary responsibility of protecting lives and properties of the people. Though many were pessimistic as they sounded so convincing that these Governors do not have the will to push the regional security. Unfortunately, yesterday, they unanimously agreed to just the community police of the NPF. Frankly, nobody is against the community police but we shall be safer if we have the regional security to complement them as they know all the nooks and crannies of our homes. Sir, it is very obvious that "ndi anyi na ha so achuga mmuo si na anyi n'esi mmuo mmuo" and these Governors have no regards for us. I can only describe this act of theirs as being sycophantic as the wish to impress the Presidency. People who came to beg us for votes few months back, now have no regards for our takes and feelings. I wish to state that these five men spoke for themselves and not even members of their families as no sane Igbo man is inline with them. Sir, we look up to your leadership to bring back sanity of these men as it crystal clear that personal interest has beclouded their sense of reasoning and judgement. On this note, I make the following recommendations to you. 1. Organise a SouthEast protest in support of our own regional security. 2. Give the SouthEast Governors 72hours ultimatum to reconsider their decisions. 3. Mandate all the SouthEast Speakers of the five Houses of Assembly to start preparing the bill that will back up the regional security in the region. 4. Meet Mr. President and the NSA on behalf of Ndi Igbo and the importance of having our own regional security that will help FG in its fight to tackle insecurity like kidnapping, armed robbery, Fulani herdsmen killings etc. There is no doubt that Ndi Igbo are peace loving people who are very law abiding. We value life so much. We are ready to forgive our Governors as they do not know what they are doing. We can not leave our security issues to them as it is every man's business. They and their families go about their daily activities with heavily armed security officers and might not understand what our people pass through on daily basis "onye ahu di nma amaghi ihe onye ibi n'ahu" . People now find it extremely difficult to go to farms and this is our major hope of survival. Sir, majority of us unlike the Governors and their families who are guarded by security men with our money do not have what it takes to hire the police as "onye nna ya luuru nwaanyi amaghi uru nwaanyi bara". They should kindly allow us have this security outfit 'Operation Ogbuigwe' as many have suggested so that we can put a stop to this menace and common enemy of the people called insecurity. Remember, this is a very crucial issue and must be addressed with all level of seriousness as Ndi Igbo also deserve sound sleep with their eyes properly close. Thanks! Yours in the development of Ala Igbo, Kenkwo, Kesaandu Kingsley (KKK) President, Ihitte/Uboma Youth Forum, Ihitte/Uboma L.G.A., Imo State. 13th February, 2020. |
Politics / An Open Letter To President Buhari by KesaaKingsKen(m): 11:19am On Feb 02, 2020 |
AN OPEN LETTER TO PRESIDENT MOHAMMADU BUHARI GCFR RE: INSECURITY IN NIGERIA By: KENKWO, KESAANDU KINGSLEY Dear Mr. President, It is with heart full of sorrow and sadness that I write you. No true and honest Nigerian is happy with the state of the nation as at today. Your Excellency, prior to your victory in 2015 Presidential election, on several fora, you made Nigerians see and believe how incompetent fmr. President Goodluck was as regards insecurity due to the menace of boko haram. This earned you lots of votes and on assumption of office, you made us believe that insecurity will be a thing of the past. We were patiently waiting, hoping that your word will be your bond. Mr. President, with your instruction to relocate military base to those areas of concern,we were partly relieved as it was a good call but to a large extent, it has not yielded very good result because we have not won the war against insurgency as we are losing soldiers and people are being displaced from their homes despite your men would try to hoodwink Nigerians at times by telling those who care to listen that bokoharam has been technically defeated. Your Excellency, the killings in the country as at today is very alarming and most disturbing. It is your responsibility to protect lives and properties of Nigerians and for the singular fact that we wake up every morning to hear of the kidnapping and subsequent death of Nigerians is a clear indication that you have failed in your responsibility as enshrined in the constitution. Sir, how do you feel that same people you swore an oath to protect are being killed by bandits, most recent is the activities of the Fulani herdsmen who are slaughtering our people on daily basis? May I remind you that you are the commander in chief of all armed forces. Mr. President, the most disheartening part of this, is that some people around you do not mean well for you. Amidst all these unfortunate incidents, they still say you are doing well. Beware of sycophancy. Sir, judging by your age and having reached the apex position in the country, all you should be concerned about is how to write your name in gold in the sands of time for posterity sake. You should work so hard to secure Nigeria so that children unborn shall sing good of your name. Remember, the voice of people, is the voice of God. Your Excellency, it is worthy to note that with the level of insecurity in Nigeria, we can never move forward. Neither nations nor private investors can risk bringing their businesses or people to a country when the tendency of returning in an ambulance as a corpse is high. As Nigeria who believes in this nation, I hereby make the following recommendations to you as I also want to believe that you genuinely love this country. 1. Sack all service chiefs and replace them immediately with people who can bring something different to combat this common enemy of the people. Select people devoid of religion and ethnic group. "Don't let fear or insecurity stop you from trying new things. Believe in yourself. Do what you love. And most importantly, be kind to others, even if you don't like them". Stacy London 2) These Governors from the South West have shown great concern about the security challenge mostly in their region which led to the wonderful idea of Operation Amotekun. Kindly warn people like Malami to desist from making irresponsible statements about the program and also encourage, support them in any way you can. Remember, they own the land and know the nooks and crannies of the area. In collaboration and conjunction with the NPF, military and NSCDC, normalcy can be restored in the region. Also encourage other regions to setup similar outfits that will compliment our major security personnel. 3) Sir, a former head of state was quoted to have said that if insurgency lasts for more than 24hours, that government is involved. Mr. President, you might be innocent of this but I advice you should set up a personal cum private investigation unit to know those Nigerians behind these insecurity as I strongly believe that some people who are highly placed might have a hand in our current quagmire. 4)Mr. President, if you think or know that you do not have the political will to face this ugly incident squarely, save yourself the shame of being defeated by insecurity by throwing in the towel. Kindly resign. Many Nigerians repose confidence in you that you can deliver and today, are so disappointed with your body language and mode of operation towards this enemy of the nation. We are tired of you sending condolences to victims. Recall that Prince Tony Momoh who is a chieftain of your party was also quoted to have said that we should 'stephen' you all if you fail to reverse the situation of the country. I am sure we are having same thought now. Rise up and defend the nation you swore to protect before nobody is left to bury another. We shall continue to pray for you for God to give you the sagacity and strength to fight and defend the nation but remember, God can not do for man what man can do for himself. Long live Mr. President. Long live Nigerians. Long live the Federal Republic of Nigeria. WE CAN MAKE NIGERIA GREAT AGAIN. Signed. Politics / In Nigeria, The Rich Gets Richer While Poor Gets Poorer by KesaaKingsKen(m): 6:22pm On Apr 30, 2019 |
IN NIGERIA, THE RICH GETS RICHER WHILE THE POOR GETS POORER Kenkwo Kingsley Kesaandu In every responsible society, when the legislators pass the annual budget, the people rejoice as certain challenges facing them to a reasonable cum huge extent, will be adequately taken care of, but in Nigeria, very few persons rejoice whenever the country's annual budget is been passed. I was with some friends when the news of the passage of a huge sum of 8.916trn by the Senate as our 2019 annual budget broke, I quickly asked them their take but to my greatest surprise, these gentle men and ladies were all silent. Reluctantly, one said to me, we are already in the fifth month of the year and what is the joy about it, when we already know that the amount you mentioned despite how huge it is will not have any positive impact on the lives of ordinary citizen of this country, Kesaandu do not make this gathering a sad one for us, she warned me. Tears almost ran out of my eyes as this is becoming a norm in Nigeria and many are loosing confidence in the government because of their irresponsible modus operandi towards the management of our resources. Most of them who involved in budget padding are now smiling, probably saying that God has blessed them and might go to any nearby church to drop some 'ands' on top of the millions they stole and arrange how to squander it because it is not hard earned. Some states, since the inception of this administration can not point any significant federal government project cited anywhere in the state. Many unfinished projects scattered all over the country which previous administration started and one major problem I have noticed in our government since 1999, is that our leaders fail to understand that government is a continuum. Can Mr. President or any state Governor proudly, confidently and boldly come to give account of the 2018 budget? No, and the unfortunate thing is that the arm which should check the executive is also guilty in one way or the other, Like they say " kettle can never call pot black". What a country. If this huge sum of money is shared amongst Nigeria considering our numerical strength even we the latest figure we are hearing as at today, everyone will be comfortable and most will make good things out of it but no, they would not. What of the basic amenities we ought to enjoy as citizens? You hardly see a state which can brag of good road network, adequate water and housing scheme, steady power supply etc. In the next one month, we shall be getting reports of state Governors who as at today can not pay salaries and pensions, building private universities with state funds which they will claim with the aid of puppets as State House of Assembly members at the end of their tenures. Some members of FEC and federal law(breakers) will go to acquire houses and properties abroad and send their children to the best universities in the world while our higher institutions will be on strike. PMS is on the increase now and prices of goods and service are on the high side making life extremely difficult with excruciating pain for the people whom the swore to protect in the name of increase in minimum wage as we have seen today and I ask; who is deceiving who? This is man's inhumanity to man. It seems as if we are fools in this country because no one challenges or queries them. You can not always hit a child and expect him to be dump, someday he will loose his respect for you and retaliate after crying and the consequences and stories shall be told in centuries to come. This is why crimes of all forms are on the increase in Nigeria inasmuch man has no moral justification to indulge in crime but we must not fail to be realistic because self deceit is the worst deceit. I have come to realise that they do not care about our welfare but I advice them to always remember that "as eleke the bird as learnt to fly without perching, the hunter won't fail to shoot without missing" Kenkwo, Kesaandu Kingsley (KKK) hails from Umuezegwu, Ihitte, Ihitte/Uboma L.G.A., IMO State. |
Politics / When Will Government Stop Being Irresponsible? by KesaaKingsKen(m): 11:04am On Apr 29, 2019 |
WHEN WILL OUR GOVERNMENT STOP BEING IRRESPONSIBLE? By: Kenkwo,Kesaandu Kingsley One thing our government in Nigeria has failed to understand is that occupying a public office is all about service. It is a privilege for one to serve the people as it is a good opportunity to write one's name in gold in the sands of time. With the latest news of the government of Bayelsa state signing into law pensions for legislators, that is; five hundred thousand naira for Speaker, two hundred and fifty thousand naira for Deputy Speaker and a hundred thousand naira for other members respectively, one begins to wonder how irresponsible and unreasonable our so-called government can be. In our country today, most state government finds it extremely difficult to pay workers salaries not to talk of pensions and gratuity but a state like Bayelsa with unpaid pensions and gratuity had no shame but went ahead to talk about this unspeakable act. Misplacement of priority amongst our government is getting to its apex. Who did they consult before taking such irresponsible decision? Was there a public hearing before passage? Of course no, because they know it is wrong and true democrat and right thinking citizen will support it. The good people of Bayelsa must rise against this act. Government can not continue to hoodwink, humiliate and suffer us when they are supposed to protect and take adequate care of us. They find it very difficult to pay those who served for thirty five years with all sincerity and hard work their pensions and gratuity but it was so simple and easy to sign it for those of them who stayed for just four years and were also handsomely paid during their time in the name of salaries, personal and constituency allowances with little or no impact in the society. Often times, I have referred to our pensioners as the heroes mentioned in our national anthem whose efforts should not be allowed to be in vain and must be treated with maximum respect. Every citizen of this country has to stand against this ugly and evil trend that is coming because if allowed to stay in Bayelsa, another state shall copy and it will become the order of the day thereby increasing the rate and desperation of our politician as regards occupying position which they now know has life benefit. This will not speak well of our society. I humbly appeal cum advise the Governor of Bayelsa state Governor not to wait for one to challenge this in court but rather, have a rethink to work for the law to be repealed as it is undemocratic and unnecessary. I also urge the National Assembly to work towards bills making public offices less attractive as it should be a call to serve. NIGERIA MUST BE BETTER, THIS IS MY PRAYER. Politics / Prof Osibanjo's Survival:a Divine Warning To Tge Present Administration And All by KesaaKingsKen(m): 12:41pm On Feb 03, 2019 |
PROF. OSIBANJO'S SURVIVAL: A DIVINE WARNING TO THE PRESENT GOVERNMENT AND ALL HUMAN OPPRESSORS By: KENKWO, KESAANDU KINGSLEY First, I want to join all Nigerians to thank God Almighty for the wonderful miracle of saving the life of our Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osibanjo and his team. It would have be a big tragedy to the entire country. As we have thanked God for the special grace and mercy of avoiding the calamity that would have befallen our dearly beloved country, Nigeria, I still wish to tell the ruling class that the weekend incident at Kogi is a serious Divine warning to all those who oppress the helpless in our society , mostly the present day government that has really turned the country upside down in all ramifications. Every right thinking citizen of this country will vehemently agree with me that the state of this country is heading towards what the Civil Engineers called 'Ultimate Limit State' which is total collapse. Since the inception of this administration, democracy has traveled far away from the country and one wonders what the people's offence could be. Under the present administration, killings of human beings seems to be normal thing, economy is dwindling, our higher institutions are on strike, price of fuel rose, nepotism,no respect for rule of law and hunger and excruciating pain in the land. The rate at which people from different religions in the country now pray is seriously on the increase, all because of the state of the nation and with faith, they believe that the Supreme Being is taking note. Mr. President and his team in 2015, took up responsibility and promised Nigerians change, little did we know that we were actually going from frying pan to fire. This led to the high number of candidates vying for the seat of the President. As Christians, we have implicit confidence in God that he will always hear the cry of his people which he has promised in the scripture. The incident that played out in Kogi State where the Chopper of the Vice President crashed is a clear warning that heaven is not happy with the state of the nation mostly the way our present administration is piloting the affairs of the country, Vox Populi Vox Dei. As a pastor, it is assumed that he understands when heaven speaks. It is a clarion call to the President Buhari/Osibanjo led administration to be democratic and ensure that Nigerians are being treated very well, as God has blessed the country and its resources should be used to help the people. Public office holders should be extremely careful mostly those who have really done so bad in government, as all they are acquiring with public funds and not doing the job of governance will not lead them anywhere. All bad leaders in the scripture were severely dealt with by God and all of them presently will not escape the wrath of the Almighty. A word is enough for the wise. A new Nigeria is possible. 1 Like 1 Share

Politics / Open Letter To Governor Okorocha by KesaaKingsKen(m): 12:51pm On Aug 24, 2018 |
AN OPEN LETTER TO GOVERNOR ROCHAS OKOROCHA Dear Owelle, It is with heavy heart filled with pain that I write to you this morning. Ordinarily, I would have chosen to keep mute but it will be sinful of me to shut up at this critical time in our state. Your Excellency, on assumption of duty in 2011, it was as if it is a prayer answered but to a reasonable extent, imolites are disappointed with what has been on the ground. There are so many issues to talk about but for the sake of your busy schedule which is yet to yield any positive impact to the good people of IMO State, I would keep only on your forthcoming local government elections which you intend holding tomorrow, the 25th day of August 2018. Sir, in a stanza of our state anthem that we all love so much, it talked about rule of law. It baffles me tremendously that most of the things you condemn about the administration of your predecessor, are all you are doing and even worse. We were so optimistic that six months into your tenure in 2011, there would have been a fresh local government elections having cancelled the one conducted prior to your arrival despite several court orders asking you to do the needful. Your Excellency, what do you gain conducting this election barely six months into the general election? I have it on good authority that most political parties are boycotting your forthcoming local government election and this shows to a huge extent that the people have lost confidence in you. With the state of the state and considering that you are on the verge of vacating Douglas House, don't you think that talking about your local government election at this time is abnormal? Imolites are suffering on daily basis due to non payment of pensions and salaries and most importantly, the ugly state of our roads. Today, no imolite can drive freely on the roads within Owerri metropolis and any responsible government should be worried. It is said that one whose house is on fire should not go about chasing rats. Your Excellency, the millions of tax payers money that you are about to squander tomorrow is uncalled for and unfortunate. The people, whom this election is supposed to be for, obviously are not interested because of your modus operandi towards it. I doubt the sincerity of the election and the independent nature of the umpire. The supposed election is been ran by your own faction of the ruling party and the question is; who is going to contest against your men tomorrow? Your Excellency, it will be quite irresponsible for you to go ahead and spend our money tomorrow in something you and I know that is not worth it. As a patriotic citizen of IMO State, i humbly advice that you channel these resources towards the rescue of our roads and payment of our workers and pensioners and reappoint a fresh caretaker committee as you have always do. It will go along way in helping the people you swore to protect. May I also remind you that you are under an oath to protect the good people of IMO State. IMO MUST BE BETTER... THIS IS MY PRAYER. My name is KENKWO, KESAANDU KINGSLEY. I am from Umuezegwu, Ihitte/Uboma. |

Politics / An Open Letter To Gov. Rochas by KesaaKingsKen(m): 12:34am On May 12, 2018 |
AN OPEN LETTER TO GOVERNOR ROCHAS OKOROCHA Dear Owelle, I bring you greetings from Umuezegwu, Ihitte/Uboma L.G.A. My dear Governor, I have wanted to make this letter a secret one to you but considering many sycophants around you that won't allow you take your time and read it, I have decided to make it public because I know it will attract your attention faster. This letter is centred on the state of Owerri metropolis today. I lived all my life in Owerri and is in the best position to talk about the state of Owerri metropolis. Your Excellency, I was so delighted when you made the announcement of your Urban renewal program which was aimed at transforming Owerri into a better city. Many 'Imolites' even those in the opposition parties, with the interest of the state at heart were so ready to support you as long as it follows due process. We all perfectly understood that we (masses) must make certain sacrifices for us to get it right. In the words of former Governor Ikedi Ohakim, he said "sacrifice a little and enjoy forever". It is so disheartening and unfortunate that you have decided to carry out this program without considering the welfare of your people which I presume not to be intentional. Your execution of this project has failed to wear a human face. The demolition of people's properties without adequate compensation and also making a conducive place for them to do their businesses is not a welcome development. This affected residential buildings of many which has rendered them homeless. The demolition along our major roads like wetheral seems not to have a sincere motive because of the way it was done and also the way the reconstruction is going says many imolites. Today was one of my worst days in Owerri town which was as a result of road demolition in the name of expansion. Movement along Wetheral (Sam Mbakwe) road and other major roads in the metropolis is nothing to write home about mostly after any rainfall. There has been this excruciating pain using these road as a result of the demolition which little or nothing is being done towards its reconstruction. Trekking has become the easiest means of transportation because one can't afford to seat in a congested 'taximo' for more than three hours just to go to world bank from fire service junction and I know you perfectly understand what it means for one to trek from 'fire service junction to world bank'. The cost of transportation has so skyrocketed that your people (Imolites) to a very reasonable extent have no option and have resulted to trekking. My dear Owelle, during your first election in 2011, you promised to keep your people first but frankly speaking, you have missed it to a large extent. Having known that your people use these roads on daily basis, its important you understand that you might have a genuine case but the way you present it, might make you loose it. We all hope to see a clean and green Owerri again but not where the pains will be too excruciating for our people. Please instruct the ministry of works to take the demolition and reconstruction bit by bit so that it won't really affect your dearly beloved people adversely. Someone has to be alive to see and enjoy the new Owerri of your dream. The quality of the work should also be improved because most works do not withstand two rainy days. The urban renewal program should at least wear a human face. My dear Governor, you once told us that leaders think about next generation while politicians think about next election. We also understand your interest in the next election which is at hand but you can't achieve victory with the current state of the state. No one talks good of your administration now on the street of Owerri simply because of the above mentioned challenges and you can not leave office on such note. Kindly rescue our roads so that Owerri will breath fresh air and know peace. Thanks as I am very optimistic that you will do everything humanly possible to fix our roads and buildings to as to alleviate and truly rescue Ndi Imo. Yours in the development of IMO State, Kenkwo Kingsley Kesaandu. Umuezegwu, Ihitte/Uboma L.G.A. |

Nairaland / General / BBN Voting Is Not Free Unlike 2019 Voting. by KesaaKingsKen(m): 9:35am On Apr 23, 2018 |
I watched the grand finale of the BB Naija TV show which was solely geared towards knowing the number of votes gathered for the program today. To my greatest surprised, I heard #30million votes cast as announced by #Ebuka the anchor man. I was really shocked to the marrow because I know that majority of votes came from youths but it made me have confidence that we can get it right come 2019, #Optimism. My people, there's no need to spend airtime for the sake of our growth and development when it comes to voting. All that is required of us is to get a #PVC and come and vote on the D-day which is free of charge. We can make this desired change if we can channel our time, talent and treasure towards the good, growth and development of Nigeria. NIGERIA MUST BE GREAT AGAIN. |
TV/Movies / Stop Celebrating Immorality In The Name Of Bbn by KesaaKingsKen(m): 4:04pm On Feb 06, 2018 |
STOP CELEBRATING IMMORALITY By; Kenkwo Kingsley Kesaandu It is very obvious that as citizens, we have rights to live our lives in any way we want but not to the extent of polluting the society with immorality. Nigeria, no doubt is known to a very huge cum reasonable extent for its high level in morality, no wonder the law making body of this great nation sometime ago rejected same sex marriage even to the extent of giving a penalty to offenders. The two main religious groups in Nigeria in strong terms have condemned all immoral activities in the country but it's still disheartening that some citizens have sworn to pollute the whole society with immorality. It is really unfortunate that a company who should find a way to improve the economy of Nigeria through reasonable means and encouraging hand working youths have turned to rubbish the image of this great nation through sponsoring of a high immoral TV reality show called BIG BROTHER NAIJA . Nigeria, a country with high level of morality should not be pulled down by this company sponsoring this show. We have many youths who are doing so well in science and technology and other sectors of life that should have been encouraged instead of going into this irresponsible show called BBN. If they think they can not invest in education, there are so many sporting activities that can lift cum improve the welfare of our youths and still maintain their morality . If this company invests in football annually, no doubt that Nigeria will continue produce the African Footballer of the Year and even compete for the ultimate prize, world best footballer and this will help many youths to play in high places across the world. The unfortunate part of the whole thing is the time, energy and resources which our youths channel towards this immorality. If the number of our youths who constantly follow this immorality actively will channel it towards how our leaders pilot the affairs of country, I strongly believe that Nigeria will be a better place. Quite unfortunate that over 60% of youths who are so interested in this program do not have PVC or even do not care to vote. I sincerely appeal to my fellow youths to desist from this immorality because if our parents had supported such in the past , what would be the state of our society today? My dear sponsor of BBN, you can actually channel your resources towards other reasonable and responsible show for posterity sake. Let our people speak out against this common enemy of our youths because remaining silent in this time of moral crisis is really dangerous. Let us not pollute this country because when wealth is lost, nothing is lost, when health is lost, something is lost but when character or morality is lost, all is lost .
