Nobody should lose sleep over losing an job because of a bad interview, it happened to me in 2003 just after my NYSC, but still got another job not what I wanted. I later worked for one of the top aviation companies in Nigeria and finally relocated to Canada in 2021 January.

The company that I did the interview and lost the job did not even survive in the Nigerian business environment as they went under when Soludo was CBN governor.

Today I look back and just laugh because what you think is best for you may not be in God's agenda for your life, so relax.

Better jobs are on their way.

My wife and I applied to renew our visas via the Dropbox option but we were asked to come for a follow interview under 221g. I was able to get appointment date for 3rd Sept. 2019.

However, last week at the office I was informed by the management of my organisation that I have been chosen for a training in Dubai from 1st == 5th September 2019.

I have gone on line to try and reschedule the interview for another date, but what am seeing is there are no appointment dates available and if I cancel this appointment, then I will have exceeded the limit of appointments canceled, and will not be able to schedule another appointment until another MRV fee has been paid.

Cancelling the appointment will also not look good on my part as it may be misconstrued for something else.

Please advise if there is hope of getting appointment dates soon or what i can do in this regard to ensure I don't have pay another MRV fee again.

And what if your Supervisor or Manager refuses to do so for fear of the HR being contacted by CIC, because if CIC contacts the HR directly the supervisor will surely be queried for signing such a document. I have seen it happen before. Hence my question as to what to do.

This has been dealt with time without number here. Give your supervisor or manager to sign it for you. Get the photocopy of his ID card /business attach to it. Please take your time to go back to previous pages to get more info on this. There is no time to rush when you don't understand what you are doing. Ensure the letter follow the cic format too. What matters is the job description on the reference letter to be issued by your organization. The job title does not really matter. Only ensure the job description matches CIC's own by about 70-80% and you will be fine.

However, I have a small challenge and I hope you all can be of assistance.My question goes thus: am 36years,have a BSC in Business Administration and MSC in Business Administration (Management) all from Unilag, I have over 10 years experience, 2.7 years as Corporate affairs officer in an aviation company, 8 months as a sales executive in a paint manufacturing company, 3 months as a marketer in a micro finance bank, 5.7 years as a travel logistics personnel in an aviation company , but was made PA to the MD about a year ago. While in travel logistics I did admin functions such as procurement and supervised a hanger being built by the coy But not in my officia JD, what is in my JD travel logistics and the most recent one PA t MD. As PA I supervise and carry out all admin functions as it relates to the MD office

but what am worried about is the avaliable jobs as it relates to my job and degrees, the nearest have come across is the contract Administrator, which is closely related to procurement I did while in travel logistics and Vetassess is the assessing body for this my fear is that if I apply for assessment with out have a JD and official letter saying am a procurement officer or contract officer which is not my current role, won't it make vetassess give me a negative assessment. Because what I have read is that for a positive assessment you must have qualification plus experience matching the job you want to assess.
