I saw a determined government who value the human person and sanctity of life and went all out to rescue its citizens from the jaws of death with no expense spared. I will never forget the spontaneity and passion with which the people (including President Sebastian Pinera) sang the Chilean national anthem when miner 33 was brought to the surface.

President Pinera and his wife were on site for the whole 22 plus hours of the rescue. The Minister of Mines was on site since day 17 when it was clear the miners were alive. The Minister of health was also present. It was indeed MISSION COMPLETED

What would have happened if this incident happened in Nigeria? Do our leaders care for the led? Do they know the essence of our National Anthem?

The incident will go down as one the most dramatic human angle events of year 2010 yet it did not feature in the radar of our prophets or soothsayers. Is anybody claiming to have foretold this event?

The truth is that any real Christian must honor God with his tithe (and offering) to continue to enjoy true blessings. God commands it and may we have the grace to obey. I have experienced the benefit of tithing and tight purse of defaulting.

There is certainly going to be end of year rush sales in Nairaland. Buyers should hold out for as long as possible. These guys need you money and it is a buyer's market right now. I watched CNN Late Edition this weekend and one contributor on the bail out plan for the 3 US Auto majors said that cars are not selling even with a tag of 2 for the price of 1 in the car shops. Japanese cars are also affected to some extent.
Today, prices of choice lands in Lekki and Abuja are either falling or stable. Year 2009 will certainly be interesting !!!
