Selly and Maria also picked Melvin. It was a drama when Maria mistakenly dropped her portrait on Bolt. She protested vehemently and biggie had to undo the choice for her to pick Melvin. After that, biggie disabled the audio in the diary room for subsequent housemates who he called to make their choice.

If you read through the processes before a president can be impeached, you will understand what the reps are trying to do. The process of impeaching the president is tedious, making it almost impossible. Unlike the governor, where two-third of the state house of assembly can boot him out, the president's case requires same percentage from both the upper and lower houses. After this, the individual house of assembly of each state will still vote on his impeachment. Then if a certain percentage from each state assembly votes for him to be impeach, then shall he only be impeached.

The process is too rigorous and was designed to be impossible. Let them review it. At least, let the upper and lower houses only have a say.

You confused the process for constitution amendment with that of impeaching the president. The states house of assembly are not involved in impeaching a president.

Not everything that OBJ did is bad. Whether to leave the Governor in place or not depend on the reason for declaring the emergency. State of emergency can be declared for natural disaster like the flooding that occurred last year. In that case, it will be improper to suspend the governor, but if the elected official is part/cause of the problem like that of the western region, he should step aside.

Ordinarily for USA, this will be allowed for Nigerians because of agreement between the two countries. Can anyone knowledgable in UAE immigration procedure tell me if my passport will be acceptable for entering UAE? I intend to apply for uae visa next week.

I enquired from Nigeria immigration for possible renewal of the passport but they said they don't renew passport that still have more than 6 months validity. See wahala o

Pls I have a valid multiple B1/B2 visa. When I was given, I actually applied for a tourist visa for vacation which I had already gone and returned in october last year. I had expected a 6 months single B2 visa, but they dashed me a 2 years b1/b2 visa multi for reason best known to them

Now I have a prospect of going for a 2 weeks professional conference in September, can I still use this visa for this given that my purpose at the time of the interview was tourism? What exact advantage does this combined b1/b2 give me?

Gbenge 77: Sorry about that,Trust me,the CO has to check out ones Ds 160 form before determining which questions are appropriate for a particular applicant.As a matter of fact,most of the info needed is in the form,but theres a reason for the interview.Sometimes,the CO plays a psychological game on you,and once you bungle it,its over.I think this applies to this Mexican guy and the Notorious Chinese lady.Actually,the State Department considers Nigeria a priority,and actually sends some of its best foreign officers to Nigeria,So,those guys at the post are very good.They do not need to ask loads of questions before adjudicating a case,and more often than not,they make correct decisions.But of course there are bad eggs in every organisation.He could choose to re apply if hes got strong ties. And as a rule no CO can interview you twice(having denied you previously),so he will have the chance to present his case to another CO. Better luck next time

Apart from the Minister of Justice (who must also be the Attorney General), the constitution does not specifically recognise any other ministerial office by name. The executive authority of the federation is vested only in the president and any other members of the executive council (ministers) hold office at the whim of the president.

Constitution only requires the president to appoint at least a minister from each state (i.e. minimum of 36 ministers) but he has discretion on what duty to assign to each. He can even assign no portfolio to all the ministers and make himself minister of all ministries. That is why National Assembly always confirm nominees as Minister of Federal Republic not Minister of a particular ministry.

Note that the contraption of substantive Minister and Minister of State in a ministry that we have has no basis in the constitution. No senior or junior minister as far as the constitution is concerned.

Constitution does not even require it at all. In fact its publication may even be illegal. The law guiding declaration of assets is the law on Bureau of Code of Conduct and it does not require publication in the newspapers. You must file your declaration with the Bureau and it should not be ordinarily accessible unless in special case as provided in the law.
