The working theory, via a reddit thread on the subject, is that the phone struggles with displaying the non-Western characters in banner notifications, aka the alerts you get that pop down from the top of the iPhone screen. Eventually, that causes the phone to reboot. This kind of problem has actually shown up before, in iOS 6, according to numerous reddit posters.

Others on reddit have reported achieving similar results by sending the same message through other services such as WhatsApp and Pushbullet, that have banner notifications enabled.

The venue’s VIP seating area collapsed during the rally.

This happened Saturday morning at Minna Trade Fair Complex at the campaign for the reelection of President Goodluck Jonathan organised by the Transformation Ambassador of Nigeria [TAN].

Dignitaries were seated and the venue was packed to the brim when the platform constructed to sit top government officials and chieftains of the Peoples Democratic Party suddenly caved in, trapping a few of those already seated.

The development sparked panic across the venue with several people scampering for safety. Some people were so scared that they began to hurry out of the venue in droves. It was reported that a number of people, including top government officials, were injured and rushed to hospital.

A former Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Nuhu Ribadu, has dumped the opposition All Progressives Congress [APC] and joined the Peoples Democratic Party [PDP].

Mr. Ribadu was the presidential candidate of the defunct Action Congress of Nigeria [ACN] in 2011 and until his defection today considered one of the presidential prospects of the APC in the 2015 presidential election. A member of the executive committee of the PDP in Bako, Mr. Ribadu’s ward in Yola South Local Government Area of Adamawa state, told PREMIUM TIMES that the anti-corruption chief has been registered as a member of the party and given a party membership card. The source asked not to be named because he was not authorised to disclose the development to journalists. ‎

A PREMIUM TIMES report had detailed how the PDP leadership led by the party’s national chairman, Adamu Muazu, mounted pressure on Mr. Ribadu to join the party and be its candidate for the October 11 governorship election in Adamawa. The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has already released a timetable for an election being organised to replace former Governor Murtala Nyako who was impeached by the State Assembly last month. ‎

Already, Acting Governor Umaru Fintiri and Awwal Tukur, a son of former chairman of the PDP, Bamanga Tukur, have picked the notice of ‎ intent form to seek the PDP governorship nomination for the election. Efforts to speak with Mr. Ribadu or his spokesperson, Abdulaziz Abdulaziz, were unsuccessful. ‎Both men’s mobile telephones phones were switched off when PREMIUM TIMES tried to reach them. Mr. Ribadu is yet to publicly declare for the PDP although he has not refuted any of the reports linking him to the party.

Liberia has said it will receive doses of an experimental Ebola drug to treat infected doctors in the West African country.

A statement, published on the Liberian presidency's website on Monday, said the United States had approved a request from Liberia's President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf to ship the medicine, ZMapp, after a direct appeal to US President Barack Obama on Friday.

However, a spokesperson for the US Health and Human Services (HHS) Department said US authorities had simply assisted in connecting the Liberian government with the drug's manufacturer.

"Since the drug was shipped for use outside the US, appropriate export procedures had to be followed," the HHS spokesperson said, adding the drug company had worked directly with the Liberian government.

The Liberian statement said the head of the WHO, Margaret Chan, had authorised the dispatch of additional doses of the experimental drug to Liberia to support the treatment of affected doctors. Those doses will be delivered by a WHO expert this week.

A WHO spokesman did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

Lewis Brown, Liberian information minister, told the Reuters news agency that it was not clear how many doses of the drug had been sent, but it could be in Monrovia within the next 48 hours.

The company said in a statement on Monday that its supply had been exhausted.

ZMapp, produced by California-based Mapp Biopharmaceutical, has already been used to treat two US aid workers and a Spanish priest infected with Ebola.

Global health emergency

The death toll from the world's worst outbreak of Ebola has climbed to 1,013 people, according to figures on Monday from the World Health Organisation, which has branded the outbreak an international health emergency.

The WHO has said the epidemic will likely continue for months as the region's healthcare systems struggle to cope and has appealed urgently for funding and emergency medical staff.

A WHO medical ethics committee had discussed on Monday the use of experimental drugs to tackle the world's worst outbreak of the deadly virus. It is due to announce its findings on Tuesday.

Aside from the ethics of using experimental drugs in humans, the committee was also due to consider who should receive priority for the limited supplies of the drugs.

One of the doctors who attended to Patrick Sawyer, the Liberian, who recently died of Ebola in Nigeria, is now sick with the disease.

Minister of Health, Professor Onyebuchi Chukwu, made the revelation today.

Chukwu said two other people placed under quarantine were showing signs of the disease, although it is too early to say if their symptoms relates to Ebola.

Sawyer was Nigeria’s first case of Ebola death two weeks ago, and since his demise there have been widespread fears that some of the more than 70 people he had contact with also develop the virus.

I think we were all a bit surprised when Jenni Farley announced that she was pregnant, and it took a bit of trial and error in regards to confirming if she was pregnant.

She took a couple over the counter pregnancy tests and the results showed a faint line. In other words things were inconclusive.

Jenni revealed on her blog how she actually found out she was pregnant.

The following day I met Nicole (Snooki) at the airport and I was so anxious because I didn’t know about the pregnancy do’s and don't’s and wasn’t sure if it was okay for me to fly. While we were at the airport, Nicole and I were going through all the usual magazines making fun of people in them and when I went to the bathroom, I saw blood and panicked. So many thoughts were running through my head. I felt a loss like no other when I thought that I was no longer pregnant. I whispered it to Roger and for that whole ride we just stared straight ahead and didn't say a word. I went to bed that night in Nashville praying it was just a thing that happens.
The following day I told my manager to buy a "stupid proof test" which literally says “pregnant” or “not pregnant.” It said pregnant and she cried and I cried and Roger looked like he was going to pass out! Hahaha. That day in Nashville I was on cloud nine.”

There has been many versions of solutions to cleaning laptop screen, but careful attention should be given to this so as not to cause any damage to your gadget LCD.

I won’t advise use of any other liquid other than vinega/alcohol. For starters, turn your monitor off. Infact if your want to eliminate any risk of shock or other electrical damage, unplugit altogether. There wil be mosture involved in this cleaning and you won’t want anything powered to come in contact with liquid.

Don’t spray anything on your monitor screen, rather find a clean cloth and than dampen it withlittel alcohol, not much; a little mosture will do.

Also, if you deside to use spray, don’t spray directly on the screen. That’s because drops can seep in around the bezel and may land on the keyboard also. Also, care about moisture/electricity they aren’t friends. What you can do is to spray your liquid on the cloth, then wipe the screen using a circular motion, which is best in eliminating streaks, and apply only light pressure.

Within few seconds your computer screen is clean and okay; and look as new
