I hope you are not talking about webworksafrica because if you are, what they offer is freedom that will not work for xp users. They are quite lousy. Thank you.

Bro i use webworksafrican service since 20th. And it's been quiet good and uninterrupted. My system is window 7. I don't think their technology supports Xp. But it's good here in school. A lot of us using their service use windwos 7 and Vista. A friend of mine who subscribed this morning was promised a refund because he uses XP and i didn't work on his system. How is life with you?

I love nairaland!
We address alot of issues here, and most times our predictions are right and correct.
Last week, here in Nairaland, we predicted Man-U vs Barca and it was exact.

Now here goes 9ja vs Agentina!!! The poll results already gives me hope. cheesy cheesy cheesy
Business / Re: Fuel Scarcity And The State Of Our Petroleum Sector by Konnekt(m): 7:55am On Jun 01, 2011
Yes GEJ tried to have made the liquid treasure available unlike before. But he should look beyond that to think of building a refinery of our own. We need one, or don't we?
Politics / Re: Some Sensible Ideas On How To Solve The Boko Haram Problem by Konnekt(m): 7:51am On Jun 01, 2011
Here's my recommended solution, the government should infiltrate the northern surbubs with hundreds of well trained intelligent undercover Police officers, these officers are to mingle freely to covertly investigate the Boko Haram ring. Extremist found guilty should be silently killed one by one and buried in unknown graves. . . . . .

Good idea.
What the government need is to beaf up security in the Boko prone zones. They need to do that asap to stop this ill-fated menace.
Politics / Re: Rivers State Target 24 Hours Power Supply by Konnekt(m): 7:42am On Jun 01, 2011
Honestly i have heard enough of this power thing in his country. Our leaders should stop making noise about building or not building power plants. A project they have not even started is everywhere in the media. When Ghana did theirs nobody was aware until completed. Our leaders should do what they are voted for. They do not deserve extra praise for doing what they are supposed to do, after all it's our money -not theirs. ah ah!!

Crime / Re: Muslim Girl Stoned To Death In For Participating In Beauty Contest. by Konnekt(m): 9:08am On May 31, 2011
as well as condem the killing so do i have nothing against her stoning! the world is a free a place to do what u like as well practise what u like! my point is that its their culture so she suppose to be aware of the implication!!
19yrs is no more a kid so she suppose to know the rule and abide to it or denounce the culture! FOR NOW I THINK ITS JUSTIFIABLE
You shouldn't have supported evil. Why kill her just because she participated in Beauty contest? It does happen even in the world scene, why must her own be different just because of an ill-defined religion? The same religion that a 100yrs old man is allowed to marry and sleep with a 9yrs old baby. Sometime last year or so, an ex- f.ool.ish governor paid over $1m dollars to buy marry an 11yr old girl from the Northern fringe of Africa(Egypt).

Politics / Re: Lagos Brt Buses Are Gradually Turning Into Molue, With No Remedy In Sight by Konnekt(m): 8:48am On May 30, 2011
No wonder some of these naija graduates cannot become successful in life because of their shallow-mindedness and paranoia.
Must one bring tribalism[ibo-yoruba-hausa syndrome} to every discussion?Does anybody here own an ibo or yoruba passport? We all possess the NIGERIAN PASSPORT and until we see ourselves as one,we cannot achieve anything concrete in this country.

That is the same problem bedevilling our PDP leaders that is making them talk about power rotation between north and south. We still dont see ourselves as one.

AMERICA doesnot care if the next 20 presidents are from the state of Illinois or Arizona, provided he's an American.

I am a yoruba man and i dont bloody care if an Ibo man or hausa man rules nigeria for the next 1,000,000 years provided he provides good governance,

I would rather have an NGIGE ,DONALD DUKE or AMECHI rule Lagos state than ALAO-AKALA rule lagos state.
Tell them, i wonder!

Politics / Re: Why Do Most Nigerians Shout When They Speak? by Konnekt(m): 2:17am On May 30, 2011

1- Nigeria has a high level of noise pollution - Ppl increase the volume of their TV sets to drown out the noise of the generators but don't turn it down when having a conversation, no distinct separation between residential and commercial areas and so on.

2- Nigerians have a strong mix of passion and frustration - This comes across in our use of wild gestures when we speak.

3- The need to be the Alpha Male/Female - Often with nothing of substance to back it up.

4- Nigerian phone etiquette dictates that "the volume of your voice should be directly proportional to the distance of your listener" FACTTongue.

Then again, I dont think this trait is specific to just Nigeria/Africa, we just do it best
It's a high time all these brutal mobile telecommunication networks increase cost of calls/sec to reflect the tone of the caller. Amount charged should be directly proportional to the tone of voice. I bet you, warri boiz go pay pass GEJ coz they sabi shout for phone, lol
Politics / Re: Lagos Brt Buses Are Gradually Turning Into Molue, With No Remedy In Sight by Konnekt(m): 2:09am On May 30, 2011
People on nairaland are gradually making it a taboo for anyone to see and complain about anything wrong in lag.

How will attacking the writer and poster  answer the question or solve the issue raised in the report. Some of us actually live and experience these things so stop making it a crime to cricticise, it isnt helping the guvnor as u might think.

Almajiris!

You must be refering to someone or re u soliloquizing??
Of course he is doing the later, lol that guy is so frustrated with over dependent on BRT, i feel for you sha. undecided undecided undecided

God cannot will not save Nigeria because he did not create Nigeria, the British did, and it wasn't designed to work.
My advise to southerners is to start investing/converting your money or cash (Naira) into gold, Sterling or USD.

Bolded: Funny but seemingly true. God help us!

Not just to gold, Sterling or USD. Let's be straight forward, to the B.iafuru pounds.
Politics / Re: Lagos Brt Buses Are Gradually Turning Into Molue, With No Remedy In Sight by Konnekt(m): 1:49am On May 30, 2011
It takes monitoring and proper maintenance to sustaiin such project. One thing about our government is that they hardly maintain and sustain projects. Very soon now they will sign trilions or rather billions for purchase of new buses. Any way so far so good, the guy in Lagos is doing better as compared to many governors.
Politics / Re: 2011 Nigerian Presidential Inauguration Thread by Konnekt(m): 1:38am On May 30, 2011
Did anyone listen to d inaugural speech ? Wat was GEJ talking about wen he was say "We will fight for electricity; we will fight for quality education; we will fight for job creation, etc" who is fighting who ? And the speech was so uninspiring !

Fight indeed!
Well if it will take fighting and punching to revive electricity, quality education, good and affordable medical care, security (against bloody kidnappers), etc then GEJ should fight on. Thats why we voted him. And Goodluck to Nigeria.
Politics / Re: 2011 Nigerian Presidential Inauguration Thread by Konnekt(m): 7:49pm On May 29, 2011
Let me start by congratulating Nigerians as a whole for such a peaceful conduct of this inauguration. Atleast there has been no (and of course there will be no) report of bomb explosion and the likes. At this point in time, we need peace and people (The masses, not the 'looters' ) oriented government.

I therefore admonish our newly elected leaders to be different and NOT be like the rest. As for our state Imo, the rescue mission has taken charge, Ikiri will soon take to heels, If he has not already.
Education / Re: Is It A Sin To Be Intelligent? by Konnekt(m): 7:43pm On May 29, 2011
@Bolded,it could actually be a typo.Besides,he said he is good at Maths and sciences . . .some of those science and statistics geeks are not too good with spelling

Yes you are right. Though some science guys are equally good at English. I wish that young man (Poster) good luck any way.
