Hi all, I have an interview coming up on Monday in the UK, my intended date of arrival when i first filled in the DS 160 form was June 2024 but could not land an interview around that time, do i amend my intended date of arrival in the US to reflect the new date i have chosen in December? if yes will it reflect by monday? or do i just leave it like that or it is quite late to make any changes? Thanks

30th bro...is it too early to be inquisitive?

Way early. My cousin’s bio was November last year and he’s still waiting. Don’t know why they’re treating applications from Africa this way.

Got my passport back today. Visa approved - 6 months. Couldn't use the visa I got earlier this year due to the coronavirus.

Was it a visitor’s visa please? If I may ask

Good morning house. Please is there anyone whose EEA FAMILY PERMIT visa expired due to covid? If yes what was the process of getting a visa replacement? Did you reapply or email home office for a replacement of visa? Thanks

I was at TLS to submit my passport for replacement of visa vignette but they insist I have to include a reply mail from UKVI that the passport will not be collected without that. Unfortunately I haven’t received any reply after a month of sending a mail to the CIH@homeoffice mail. Did you have a similar problem?

I beg to differ but I think that information on that website has to do with those already in the UK. Not those with visas yet to enter. Let me know if I’m wrong. Cause the information there says something different.

Good morning people.

I have an issue and I honestly don't know how to go about it; I was refused a UK EEA family permit because my birth certificate was registered 14 years after my birth. The ECO said I should have submitted a letter of authority from the Deputy Chief registrar for late birth registration after 1 year of my birth. which is subject to payment of fees, but according to National Population commission, there is no penalty for late birth registration as they are trying to encouragement massive birth registration all over the country.

my problem is that the ECO quoted Act 1992 of the constitution in my refusal letter, but NPC is saying that they have waived off the penalty.

Please can anybody offer a little help here?

thanks in advance.

They can’t prove the authenticity of your birth certificate due to the time gap. They only accept birth certificates registered within 6 months after your birth. Your best bet is to do a DNA to prove relationship with your sponsor. You’ll be fine with that.

Hello, I’m applying for an EEA family permit, I I’m quite through but you see the part they ask you to provide your identity card, my first name on my ID card is misspelled as MANUELL whilst all my other documents bear my right name MANUEL (1 L) do I write a cover note that the disparity is an error and I’ve reached out to the appropriate quarters to correct it or or the Home Office overlooks such errors since all other details on the card refer to me and my other documents especially passport have my name with the right spelling. Please be as kind enough to help me out. Thanks.
