Hello guyz,

This POF part is my major concern. Might b difficult raising d required fund but possible to get it into my account, print out my account statement then withdraw(maybe some parts i.e. d one borrowed which might be up to 50% of the total amount) to give back to d owner probably d same day. Do they always contact banks to know present account balance at d time they are treating applications? If they do, is anything wrong with them discovering about 50% of the required fund in d account considering d fact dat it's expected for one to continue doing his/her business with his money while waiting for visa. What do u guyz think about dis?

Also, must d letter from the bank necessarily include average balance over six month cos average balance might b extremely low for an account with little amount of money over d last six months despite d last minute deposit of a large sum of money just before statement is printed since they are asking for average.

The problem you will likely face when you withdraw that money after printing your statement is that sometimes before passport request, you may be asked to print your current Statement.
The letter mustn't show your average balance, you can omit that but in place, add your 6 months statement.
Hope you have an explanation for the sudden bulk deposit?

Don't you mean that 70% of this thread is on WES or page 0-50? Anyway I went through your post saw your questions and my answer is you will find the answers if you read the thread. The questions you asked are quite broad and doesn't seem to show that you have read the thread.

On the issue of wtsapp, members of this thread guard its members jealously and who would blame them. The wealth of information here is far and reaching. Anyone who poses a seeming threat would be frowned on. You are welcome to continue reading and posting your questions.

Hopefully we will all get to our destination and have a better future.

Now this really made me laugh out loud!
Inukwa threat? Biko keep guarding them jealously o, it's ok. I don't need all 'your' members either.

A friend wants to know if she can include her husband's niece along with her kids in her application..Is der any implication ? Maybe at the medical stage will they have to run a paternity test ?

Someone should pls help..

I think you can only include your kids or adopted children in your application. Except she's adopting her and getting the necessary paperwork done, I don't see how she can add her.

I don't think it's a good idea to create a Whatsapp group for post-ITA. It will be selfish to do so. Having gained so much from the thread before getting ITA and now creating another group is not the best. People helped you before getting ITA, help someone too! Human beings sha!

What is the meaning of this your 'human beings sha'?
So if I create a post ITA whatsapp group, we'll stop helping people? or you believe that there are no express entry/visa groups on whatsapp? Those people are still here contributing in different capacities. I am not trying to take away what we have here, I just want few people who can call up each other anytime and ask questions which need immediate answers....a more personal group.
If you feel its not adequate, no problem, am not here to lure you away so please ignore.

Is this forum not about everything Express Entry? Is there really a need for whatsapp group again when all sorts of questions and issues are being tackeld here on the daily? Post ur questions here, Directors full ground wey go answer u.

It's just that replies come a bit late here. This is a general express entry forum, we aren't going to abandon it, will share timelines here but some specific questions in regards to eAPR, PoF etc, could best be treated by those in same shoes. I was in an ielts WhatsApp group created from Nairaland and believe me it helps people a lot.

Lool have you submitted already? , just calm down it will come in no time.

Bros I tap your blessings oo! I am poised to get ITA on the next draw by the grace of God. I have few questions

1. I have my Pof in Treasury bills which I did a month ago, I actually had that money fixed last year on a deposit and submitted the cert when I applied for study permit (was denied by the way). Do I need to wait for the tbills and my fixed deposits to be 3 months before applying? Note I fixed these funds for one year.

2. Work experience. I have about 8yrs experience in one NOC, but the place I spent the highest number of years...am not too sure about including it cos its not a salaried employment. But the previous places I worked is about a year and half for one, and 6months at the other. Making it 2yrs combined, I know using those 2 alone may decrease my points...please what do you suggest I do.

Iphie25 please if you are still here, I need your help! Will pm you.

Others please put mouth for this matter.

Hello everyone......... my head is hot

plssssssssssssss i'm filling EOI for MPNP, i was asked: Do you have an active Express Entry profile which was submitted to Citizenship and Immigration Canada in the past 12 months? Yes or No

I opened an express entry profile in April 2017... Confusion

I was also asked: Have you or your spouse previously been refused by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) based on A40 (inadmissibility or misrepresentation)? I have been refused Visiting visa twice due to travel history, financial status, personal asset and purpose of visit...... Do i answer yes or no?

DO NOT FILL YES FOR NO 2! DON'T!
You weren't refused visa due to misrepresentation or inadmissibility. Read between the lines...its a NO, if you make a mistake here you would be refused. People who are inadmissible have something to do with criminal profile.

Thanks y'll for allaying my fears. ITA received & document gathering in place.

Is it allowed to convert my hubby's salary account to a joint account as POF?

I don't think you need to since its a salary account. I believe you can use your spouse account for POF. You don't have to amend it.

I think should be proactive. When you are in the pool awaiting ITA start borrowing funds, do fixed deposits with it, plus treasury bill. By the time you get ITA, you could wait a few months and then submit.

That letter from bank is even more harmful because it asks to state the average of the amount in your account for 6 months. Do the maths to get average. Except the money is there in your account for the stated 6 months straight, your average will be very poor.

80 what Just for transcript? Haba! And I was vexing that I had to pay 20k in my school for both transcript and courier.

kemkem30:

Transcript from OOU took just about 3 weeks. Though i am not a first timer, i just sent a copy of the old one i have, maybe that made it easier. I paid 80k. 50k for the transcript, 20k for courier and 10k as tip to the person who helped. I can link anyone interested up. If you are willing to part with that amount.

Cheers!

Yes You can send a statement of result, be sure you have a contact in the school for verification purposes (assuming he schooled in Nigeria)

Please could someone reply me urgently.

My husband's degree certificate is not available yet from his school, can we send Statement of result and transcript to WES or IQAS for evaluation? Does anyone know if they accept Statement of result in lieu of Degree certificate?

Hi guys,

I've got lots of questions to ask. Please be kind enough to help a brother
. I just got admission to the university of ottawa for the January 2017 session.

I need to reapply for visa on or before Oct 17. That would leave me with exactly 11 weeks before class resumes on January 9. Do some of these schools allow late resumption at all? How long do they allow?

2. I have 10 courses to register for my civil engineering Meng program. A friend advised that I can complete these 10 courses in 3 semesters but I don't have an idea how complex these courses are. It would be nice if I can do them in just 3 semesters so that I have few semesters to pay for. Now,when preparing my finances for studies,do I let the visa officer know that I will finish in just 3 semesters? Won't this affect the no of years he would give me on my visa?

Hello Avalon

Am only responding because I have seen this your question many times. I believe you are looking to reduce your tuition fees per Semester. From my understanding, tuition is calculated per credit not by how many Semesters. What you see per Semester reflects how many credits you take in that given Semester. Many programs which are 30 credits take 15 credits per Semester, which could be about 5 courses of 3 credit each.

As a full time student you need to be registered in at least 9 credits per Semester, less than that, and you lose full time status.

Now if you decide to pack all your courses which could be taken over 6 Semesters into 3 Semesters, you won't pay less, rather you will pay the whole 2 years tuition in 1 year, because remember its the credits that is costed not the Semesters.

Hope I was able to answer your question.

Pls guru in the house,
I want to apply for study permit for a program of 2yrs, will b accompanied by my hubby and daughter ,my husband work in the vessel as an engineer and has 6yrs experience, I also have worked in telecom for 4yrs,my husband has two plots of land ,one he has almost completed developing, their company is paying dem off between now and DEC.,I will b applying to the embassy in august as against Jan resumption, and his statement of account will not have such huge amount of money as at the time we will apply in August so money will be pushed into the acct, which is termed money lodgement.
My question;
what kind of document do you think can back dis kind of lodgement?.
For home ties, can we submit the documents of the properties?.
Can we add his employment letter, tax certificate, payslips? As home ties,or we should just add it,then d question of is he leaving his job?,in dis case what kind of explanation should we give?
Pls kindly buttress, advice or add to it thanks all

I feel you should apply alone first. If you all apply together then you've cut your home ties. You can add all the docs you listed above and state that your hubby is sponsoring you, then after you've gotten your study permit, he can then apply for open work permit. This question has been asked severally before and such advice given.

About the money lodgement, you can pm me.

One may hate Europeans for the contemptible way they treat Africans, but some of them are simply out of this world....People boarded a plane to resist the deportation of a man they didn't know from Adam. Such altruistic gesture is alien to many of us.

Exactly! Many are here demanding he be deported and insinuating he is telling lies. When can we ever be kind to a fellow country man? There are different tribes in Nigeria affected by Boko Haram. Many who are skeptical because of his name should learn that people from different tribes in Nigeria live in the North and were affected by the menace of Boko Haram. All their killings aren't just Northerners! There are southerners and easterners involved also.

Please let's give this man a break...there is nothing we can do from here for him but since he has friends in Iceland who are helping him, all we can do is stand in solidarity with our countryman. Do not let bad belle get in the way.

Peace!

Hello Everyone

I have been following this thread for a long time and have seen how helpful you all have been to each other and new people, May God bless this forum and us all in this thread.

I have some questions, I graduated long ago 2007 to be precise, I studied Law and graduated with a 2nd class upper degree. I want to go for a masters degree but don't want an LLM. I was thinking in the lines of Peace and Conflict studies offered by University of Manitoba, but my problem is that the next admission intake is next fall but I really want to leave by January, and no other program I like begins in January except the Masters in Human Resources by the University of Regina (which is very expensive compared to the other program).

My question is, If I get admission for the MHRM program and back it up with an employment in that field, can I get Visa? Or would it be deemed as not relevant to my 1st degree? How easy is it to change course and school when I get to Canada? If I withdraw from a program while waiting to start another, how long am I allowed to be idle? Should I apply instead for a PGD in Alternative Dispute Resolution in a college which is an 8 month program compared to the MHRM which is 2 years?

I am going with the intention of migrating permanently. Are any of these programs relevant in Canadian workforce?

Please be patient with me, I know the questions are many but I will appreciate honest and thoughtful replies.
@justwise and all others!

Guys please help a sister out.
Thanks!
