Health / Re: Nigerians Can No Longer Afford To Buy Drugs – Pharmacists by ladgentle(m): 11:57am On Sep 15
Freetech:
Shameless professionals

The cost of drugs is on the high side because pharmacist refuse to produce drug locally with locally available raw materials.

Most of the drug in Nigeria are of low quality as ll from China and India.

Currency devaluation objective is to reduce and divert economy from import to export.

Modified,
Complaining about machines, power still boil down to the fact that Nigerian professional are lazy and shameless.

These are same people shouting production ooo, but they are the inporter of FAKE and substandard product. Yes very profitable

China and India where we import everything from now started from somewhere. They endured pain loss of profits and even resources.

When you import, you are depriving govt of tax, unemployment increased and infrastructural development is slowed

What did you study sir? Because a lot of Nigerians shy away from science oriented courses due to mental laziness.

Max24:

God bless you, Sir.

I wish you guys will just focus on the issues. We have been educated that this increase in our FR might not have any positive impact on our economy. It's purely a loan. We don't celebrate loans, but what the loans are deployed to achieve. We await to see that in the coming days. Until then, I think we should tone down the celebration.

I think I won't be opening sport threads on NL again. Many annoy me with harsh critism on our players.
Football is a game of you win some and lose some. Even the best teams and players of this world have their bad times.
People who can't kick a ball to enter an open goalpost will be talking like world class football coaches.

NONSENSE.

IT PAINS ME WHAT NIGERIANS DID TO IWOBI. GUY TRIED HIS BEST.

NB:
Don't quote me if you are not ready for a BAN for the two of us

I don't see anything wrong in what majority of people on this thread have been saying. We got our tactics all wrong against CIV. And if we don't analyze and see what adjustments to make now, it might cost us our chances of qualifying for the world cup when we meet SA June 3 later on this year.
Family / Re: How Private Schools And Parents Are Killing Our Nigerian Local Languages by ladgentle(m): 3:51pm On Oct 11, 2023
This kind of discussion only favours those who belong to the major languages. It easier for them to say, adopt Yoruba, Igbo or Hausa.

So long as it's not my language that is being adopted, let's just keep speaking the English together. Shey na my language go come go extinct? Solidarity no dey this one o. Any other language is not my language, no matter where and how it is spoken, it's a foreign language and a threat to mine.

Like somebody mentioned, if the government is serious about using the mother tongue to teach at all, they must first of translate all teaching texts and aids from English to one of the mother tongue ( I wonder which).

My point is that the problem is more fundamental than we would want to acknowledging. Lord Luggard should not joined us together. Period!

A lot of you guys just want to enjoy the narrative that it is camera rather than a motion sensor which it really is. It's more salacious to talk about a hidden camera in an hotel room. I get it cheesy

Guy you have made great submissions as always. So also some of the guys that have replied you. You all have made great points. The fact, just as you have pointed out, is that the tariff is not cost reflective. However the truth is that the purchasing power of the average Nigerian has been completely eroded. Stretching it further is a direct call for chaos. It's time we got ourselves leaders that are ready to think outside the box. All these text book solutions like the ones captured in the PWc report you referred to is akin to a doctor saying that the only way to save a patient's life is to cut off his head. Hmmm.... I don't envy whoever takes over from Buhari at all.

Sports / Re: Drama In The Tunisia Vs Mali Game As Referee Ends Match In The 89th Minute by ladgentle(m): 5:56pm On Jan 12, 2022
Maybe his timer read differently from the machine's time. As at the time he first ended the game, that was when his own clocked probably hit the 90th minutes, the machine timer as at then was at the 85th minute. So he added 4 minutes additional play time to bring the overall playtime to 94 minutes by his watch, but then the machine clock was reading 89 minutes there about. His timer could be the correct one. Afterall, the machine gave a wrong ball possession statistics in the match between Egypt and Nigeria.

Please tell, now that he didn't meet with the VP, what has happened that would not had happened if he met with him? Or what did not happen that should have happened if he had met the VP. Influencers indeed!

LofP:
You can see the uninformed opinions of Nigerians asking who Sabinus is.

It is so sad that Nigerians no longer think rationally. Majority worship money and position and they tolerate mediocrity from their leaders.

Sabinus is a person with rights, and as an individual he has every right to state his opinion.

Only retards will think otherwise because their brains have been subjected to Cattle-o-nization.

Politics / Re: IMF Tells FG To Remove Electric And Fuel Subsidies, Give More Jobs by ladgentle(m): 3:13pm On Nov 20, 2021
Cognitivereason:
Ur not in the system that is why ur thinking like this....
In short u don't even need to be in the system.. It common sense involving business. Nothing peculiar to Nigerian companies... Telecommunications industry is the most booming sector in Nigeria after oil and gas because obasanjo refused to subsidies it when it was luxury years ago...
Although the services are not world class..but there are significant investment in that industry Dan power or oil and gas...
At least anywhere u go in Nigeria.. If u go around Nigeria u should get average network availability from one of the 4 major networks because they are independent and are able to sustain the major companies that provide and maintain masts

Ur not reasoning on a long term...
Those policies recommended by IMF is what is needed for sake of tomorrow not even today...the more we keep ignoring it the more the cost of maintaining the old methods (subsidies) become high and the more we keep losing investment...

Subsidies can not be sustained anymore ...it has nothing to do with European or Africa...
Can't u see the glaring differences between power and petrol in ghana ,south Africa and in Nigeria

Have u taken out time to ask ur self if they pay subsidies over there..the answer is No

Comparing the Telecommunication sector to the oil sector is not as straight forward as we think. Truly, the telecoms sector was not subsidized, but then again their products were not a necessity for Nigerians. If you couldn't afford it then, you stayed away. So you really cared less whether it was subsidized or not because you didn't have to use the products. But it is a different ball game with fuel. There is no running away from it. From providing power for your self to transportation, you have no choice but to use fuel. Not to mention the high cost of goods, as increase in transportation cost will be factored into the cost of production. Just like diesel, not many people use diesel, so the removal of subsidy was easily accommodated.

With the lean disposable income of the average Nigerian, you are talking of fuel subsidy removal. Not only that, you want to also remove electricity subsidy when not everyone has been metered. And you are talking of curbing insecurity. Ok o

Politics / Re: NNPC Refineries Generate Zero Revenue, Pay Workers ₦69 Billion by ladgentle(m): 8:37am On Sep 12, 2021
Modrov:
The refineries don't work because for years they have been forced to work at a loss....so that Nigerians can get cheap fuel

As for payment....Government does not pay NNPC workers from the profit of their refineries...it is from allocation to NNPC.

i DON'T like Atiku, but there is a good reason why he called for NNPC to be privatised.

I suggest that FG should consider tieing the welfare packages of personnel in the health and education sector to similar allocations also.

More like the price of oil per barrel is what is making Nigeria the poverty capital of the world. Gone were the good old days where oil per barrel was above $100. Gone were the days where crude oil was king. Till Nigeria stop depending on oil and start diversify on other infrastructure , nigeria will continue to be the defending champion of poverty capital of the world.

Thank you very much sir.
