Dating And Meet-up Zone / Re: I Need A Matured (responsible) Babe For A Relationship by laplace(m): 4:10pm On Oct 18, 2008
How on earth do you hope to find a babe when your 'strongest'point is that you're unemployed. I thought you might need to consider some good things that will attract a lady to yourself first or don't you have any? No serious and matured lady would like to give an unemployed guy a good attention.

NYSC / Re: Prospective Nysc Corpers Batch C ( November) by laplace(m): 10:30pm On Sep 23, 2008
I'm a serving Batch B '08 corps member. Sincerely, there's nothing to look forward to. The scheme has outlived its relevance. It's a whole waste of time and life. Corps members are hardly treated with any dignity. Employers are only looking for cheap labour and educationally less developed states are looking for compulsory teachers.

The scratch cards are completely useless. Keep your N250 for ice cream! I hope Batch C corps members would find places of primary assignments since many of the corps members posted in September were rejected by their employers.
Religion / Re: Can A Christian Work For A Cigarette Company? by laplace(m): 4:53am On Aug 20, 2008
In my opinion, I think a Christian should not work for a cigarette manufacturing company. We must stay clear of controversial and questionable issues like this. The offers are usually very juicy and tempting. But, the question is Does the product make the consumers' lives better or worse? Would you be proud to tell your shepherd and the flock where you work? Will you be proud to tell the Master where you work?

Family / Re: Help Me Get Over My Sister's Death by laplace(m): 6:56am On Jul 20, 2008
Dear, I was in your shoes about two years ago. My elder sister died IN MY ARMS. In face, she had to postpone her last breath until I came, and seconds later, she passed on. It was hell. I can feel your guilt. I sympathize with you sincerely.
However, you have to let go. She will always remain in your memory, but you have to let her go to rest. Remember that holding her might ruin a lot of other things.
Be brave. Be strong, and GOD will stand by, with and for you. Take care, my dear. I wish you the best. May her soul rest in perfect peace. I bid her adieu.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Accenture ! Waz Up by laplace(m): 5:41pm On Jul 19, 2008
I wrote their test and passed February 2007. They just called us for interviews last week. The questions involved 'simple' Quantitative (Mathematics) and Verbal (English) reasoning with an essay.
Best wishes.

Hi Folks, I'll like to know if any of us has heard of Institute of Financial Analysts of Nigeria (IFAN). I saw their advert for direct membership with N5,000. They claim to have offices in Lagos and Ibadan.
Education / Re: Unilag vs OAU-Ife vs UI? by laplace(m): 9:18am On Jul 06, 2008
Sincerely, UNILAG is out of the race. The school is too distracted from the realities of education. I was in UNILAG recently; it was in a mess. The halls of residence, the libraries (especially Akintunde's near MTN library) are worse than dunghills in AWO hall in Great Ife.
However, I would have considered UI for the prize, but for the quality of their graduates. I have seen at least two UI graduates who applied for PhD in Great Ife, but had to re-take MSc. One of them spent seven semesters again re-taking MSc. They even tried. What about so called Akokaites? They don't even think of taking a post grad in Great Ife, except executive MBA. Hmmmmmmmmmnnnn I understand why.
Education / Re: Unilag vs OAU-Ife vs UI? by laplace(m): 8:43am On Jul 06, 2008
To be very precise, Great Ife stands out among Nigerian universities. I wrote an aptitude test organised by a dream multinational company last year. The test included bright and brilliant graduates or graduates-to-be from all Nigerian universities. Only 10 of us passed, and guess what? 9 were from OAU and 1 from UI.
Let's stop being ignorant of the politics in continental ranking of universities. I know for sure that Great Ife is better that a lot of these universities in South Africa, Ghana, Egypt, Morocco, etc. We need to have informed mindsets.

NYSC / Re: Proceeding On Uk Masters Without Nysc by laplace(m): 8:33am On Jul 06, 2008
You have to find out yourself. It must be a new rule if it's true. A friend travelled to Scotland for her MSc in 2005 even before she completed the two-week orientation programme. Find out from the embassy. Regards and best wishes.
Education / Re: Spill And Make A 2.2, Or Graduate With A Third Class? by laplace(m): 8:03pm On May 28, 2008
You don't owe anybody any explanation for your choice. It's your life and your choice determines what it is in the future.
If I were you I'll spill and make a 2-2. I had a friend who did in 2002/2003 in OAU and she now has a Masters degree in Environmental Sciences frm University of Strathclyde, Scotland, UK. She's since been working in UK.
What the hell is wrong with a spill? Anyone can have it. You're not the first and you won't be the last. I know people who had more than 4 year spills.
Better stand upright and be a man. All the best sha.

Education / Re: What Masters Degree Programmes Would You Recommend For Someone Planing To Move T by laplace(m): 9:40am On Apr 24, 2008
In my opinion, the best you can do is pick up a Masters degree in Business Management and information tech and get some certifications. You can then decide what companies to apply to.
Don't wait for adverts. Decide and submit a detailed resume to your company of choice. Nigerian recruiters love overseas certificates. Joint or dual programs with MBA also make a lot of sense. All the best.
Educational Services / Re: Register For Your A Levels Exams 30% Off Toefl ,sat Etc by laplace(m): 9:03am On Apr 24, 2008
Do you register students for SAT at 30% off too? Please provide details of your Lagos Office address. I might need to register more than one candidate if it's 30% off.

Education / Re: International Msc Program In Nigeria by laplace(m): 6:08am On Apr 24, 2008
I might need some details to give adequate and appropriate piece of advice. I'm working myself but needs some experience before I run off the shores for graduate studies or business education. First, do not limit your chances. Consider all available options and wigh your choices. Second, don't be scared of investing. The return on inverstment is certainly worth the stress, time and money. There are good programs in Nigeria with better standards and at good costs. Lagos Business School (now Pan African University) seems to be a good idea for specialised business education. Do you considerit expensive? That's relative, though. You may decide to take Executive MBA in some prestigious universities. MBA Ife seems one of the best if not the best in Ngeria. Weigh your option. Take actions, but don't stay still. Be progressive and enrich your career. All the best, dear.
