- Our birth and marriage certificate to show relationship

I still have another sister I invited since April 14, she has valid US visa, no response yet

Finally got my passport today, Osogbo NIS, DIY, after registering since 3rd of December. Imagine.

The date of issuance was March 25th and I didn't receive any message at all...

I was even there on the 24th but told back to check back in a week, but I made it two weeks just to be sure.

Don't be deceived y'all, diy no pay if you have time constraint.

True, after wasting money in Lagos. I couldn’t risk diy again. Captured Tuesday is Osogbo, got my passport today. 4 days!

If time is no problem, diy is better

Hi all,
I applied for my children's passport and the earliest appointment date available and chosen is 2nd May. Is this date okay? Or should I reschedule cos I think there might be a public holiday on that day.

I don't want a situation where I will have to schedule a further date again since May 3 is still available now. What do you guys think?

It’s a public holiday

Hi,

Please has anyone gone for capture after appointment date at Ikoyi? I just noticed that my appointment date falls on Easter Monday, I hope I don’t have to rebook an appointment? Closest available date is in May

Hahaha that was the same experience I had. At the point of capture everything went south.

At least you know this new system works, it may not be 100% efficient yet because I still saw immigration officers running a racket there but DIY works and you won't have to spend extra cash to bribe anyone
I found it very impressive tbh.

I did and tried twice, it didn't work. I am patiently waiting for my appointment date now.

I did too today. It was at the point of capture that the computer rejected it.

It's been 3 months since my spouse was added to my profile . No meds passed nor biometrics request for my spouse. Do you know your VO?

A month has passed since I sent a webform to add my new baby, it still hasn't appeared on my profile. I did the medicals and sent, still nothing.

I'm tired.

My VO is Ottawa

Finally got my baby's passport today 64pages at ikoyi office. Those guys dropped her file somewhere until we went there on Wednesday. They immediately sent to production and told us to come back the next day. Got busy yesterday and went today instead and we got it.

So thankful!

It was totally DIY, didn't pay anyone. But plenty English and escalations to the bosses.

Please I got an email saying, ready for enrollment. Your passport application screening was successful. Proceed to ikoyi for enrollment.

We captured last Thursday.

Does anyone know what this means?

Okay, if that is the case, give it the end of the month to avoid the pain of disappointment.

Yeah. I need the passport on 31st hence the hurry. I just pray I'm able to get it before then.

I'm glad you tried after all there's no harm in trying. My collection day was yesterday but I didn't go because I didn't want the stress and disappointment of it not being ready yet. Did they say yours will be ready next week or you're just being optimistic?
They didn't say when at all o. Just being optimistic

Okay. She paid today, i think, and it's always "advisable" to wait for 72 hrs before proceeding to immigration office.

So we went to ikoyi today and after plenty begging and explanation, we were able to capture.
Keeping my fingers crossed for it to be ready next week.

Thanks guys

I don’t live in Canada but British Columbia is my dream province, however, based on research you can look into Richmond, Delta, New westminster, North Vancouver, Coquitlam Or Burnaby, Surrey
They are close to Vancouver and less than 1 hour. Every city has it family oriented neighborhood.

Thanks.

Burnaby is top of the list for now.

Hi everyone,

I am just post AOR but I like to plan in details so I can rest well.

We are a family of 4. Me and my husband are both software engineers and we are looking to settle in BC.

Because of the kids, we would prefer to live in a family friendly environment while we work in Vancouver (or anywhere we find a good job).

Please what are the family friendly cities we should be looking at that are close to Vancouver?

Good afternoon house, please I really your advice on a very crucial matter. Hubby and I have only the Nikkah marriage certificate, and our proposed court wedding has been slated for late January next year. The issue now is that, there’s a high probability of us getting an ITA in the next draw which is before the court wedding. Should we use married or common law partner in our profile, as the court marriage certificate is not yet available. Please all suggestions will be highly welcome and appreciated.
I used my Nikkah certificate (I am post AOR) and I think I have read about people using it here in previous parts.

The important thing is the job description, not the job title. As per your roles, they are like 14, try to shrink them.

I also think the 2175 suits you best. But actually, Web Developer and Software Developer (web) are essentially the same thing.
Ok, thanks very much

Your job title is Software Developer (Web) right?

At least that's what your job description says

Your Noc looks more like 2173 and 2175 not the one you picked

Title is Software Engineer, but I am more of a web developer. 2173 job description didnt seem to match much but I am looking at 2175 now and rethinking.
