Can't you all see the business opportunities therein. Local producers just need to step up their game. We only need to look inward and take up the production of this banned items.

lights:
I'm a pretty objective guy so I'm gonna admit that there are certain people who kinda get punished for saying things privately about other races e.g Police Officers, and that's because they hold guns and tend to be trigger happy when it comes to dealing with such people. So i kinda get what the fuss is about here, BUT the fact is this guy has been a doctor for like 25 years and if he didn't kill or harm any Igbos all those years so I'm pretty sure he's no danger to any of you.
But what really pisses me off is that this whole thing about calling his workplace and complaining about him is driven by sheer hatred and nothing else, admittedly by some of you its all about destroying him, then i ask myself why these people wanna destroy someone at a far away place from them for saying something which most of them have said similar about other tribes here.

And btw if what he said was a threat or call to harm anybody can you explain to me why your fellow Igbos are twisting his words and spreading it as this:

S-H-A-M-E-D!!!
RE: Igbos Must be Eliminated in Nigeria. - Dr Abraham Ariyo.
Call USA Govt, Texas Medical Board To Report Dr Ariyo's Genocide Messages NOW.

Is that what he said or is that what you people are claiming he said just to get attention to your obvious hate agenda?

You're not the victims here , your just as bigoted as this guy is and i hope someday you slip up and get in the same kind of trouble (although i doubt other tribes have this much hate to pick out a single MAN and target him for revenge or whatever the hell you hope to achieve)

Well said!

justwise:

Were you asked in your application then if you have a brother in the UK?

Yes. I was asked. But i said NO. Also my sister and popsy had gone to the UK several times and listed my brother as a relative in their application. Now i am confused if i still continue to deny that i dont have a relative in the UK, and i listed my popsy in my application. wont they run a check on my oldman and discovered that he and sister have been to UK and mentioned my brother in their application?

Kindly help guys. Thanks.

I also received an sms and a call from Homebase mortgage bank that i have been pre-qualified for the FGN 1st 10,000 mortgages. And that i should visit their office and bring along my utility bill, 2 passport photo, a valid ID and 100K to open an account with them to get a provisional offer.
Funny, i googled the company, and they are legit. but i begin to wonder if this is for real. Can someone please explain how this scheme will work cause it seems the mortagage banks are taking over the scheme.

Stumbled on this on the net. Nigeria did not make the top 35 ranking with all the number of military men in NAF and budget allocated to the military every year. Only Egypt and Algeria made the list in Africa.

Politics / Re: Who Is Capable Of Leading Nigeria Now?: Your Opinion by Laruze: 5:44pm On Nov 05, 2012
A BUHARI will get the job done. Corruption has really eaten deep into Nigeria `s system. we need a tested and trusted leader like Buhari at this stage of Nigeria`s life to wipe out corruption, indiscipline, tribalism and nepotism. Reorganize all law enforcing institutions like Police, judiaciary, legistlature etc and establish a more vibrant anti-corruption institution like the EFCC of old. I believe corruption is the first disease that need to be tackled followed closely by indiscipline which we all are guilty of. Am sure we all knw and can attest to the fact that a typical Nigerian has lost some of his/her morals because we all live in a failed state.

Car Talk / Re: Maintenance Tips For Honda Cars by Laruze: 6:24pm On Jul 27, 2012
Any help guys,
I got this Honda accord 03/04. the maintenance light comes on anytime i start the engine, but goes off after blinking for few seconds i.e 7sec. Also my TCS and brake light stays on permanently. but the car is in good condition. I just serviced the car few weeks ago, even though the transmission fluid has not been changed in like 3years now. Can it be that the maintenance light blinking is for transmission fluid change? if YES, then am scared running a new transmission fluid into the tran box bearing in mind all the scary stories of damaging the tran box if the transmission fluid is overhaul. Honda transmission gurus in the house,ur candid advise is needed.

Politics / Re: Ajumobi Is An American, So Akala May Still Be Governor Of Oyo State by Laruze: 6:17pm On May 20, 2011
emmatok:

•Denies dual citizenship

Oyo State governor-elect Senator Abiola Ajimobi has said the decision of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to challenge his victory at the Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Ibadan, the state capital, would be an effort in futility.
Ajimobi spoke yesterday in a statement by the Publicity Director of his campaign organisation, Mr. Yanju Adegbite.
The PDP had on Wednesday urged the tribunal to nullify Ajimobi’s election, alleging that he holds the citizenship of the United States of America (USA).
It said possession of dual citizenship is against the provisions of the Nigerian constitution for governorship candidates.
Ajimobi denied the allegation, saying Governor Adebayo Alao-Akala and the PDP were embarking on a wild goose chase.
He said the social security number, which the PDP claims confirms his citizenship, is given to all legal residents of the United States.
Ajimobi said: "Anyone living legally in the USA is issued a social security number. It is not a symbol of citizenship of the country.
"The allegation shows the level of ignorance, mischief and desperation of the losers. I assure the good people of Oyo State that I am not a US citizen. I am a full citizen of Nigeria.

"The petitioners have always failed in their attempts to truncate the wishes of the people and they will surely fail again. It is unfortunate that people are abusing the court process with falsehood."
The Nation
gathered from a reliable source at the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) that another petition filed by the Action Alliance (AA) against Ajimobi would not succeed because INEC deliberately omitted the party’s logo from the ballot papers for failing to meet all the requirements for the governorship election.

The source said: "They did not meet the legal obligations for the election. The party did not file all the required documents; neither did it hold any primary supervised by INEC. That is why the party’s logo did not appear on the ballot papers used for the election."
Ajimobi said he was not bothered by the petitions because they were unfounded

Sefini!!!!!!!!!!
As a true Ibadan man, i was scared for oyo state when i heard the news, arguments & counter arguments going on in this forum, but right now, have got nothing to worry about. Ajimobi carry on. you are the peoples man.
Akala go kiss your bleached ass in Agodi prisons.

CDHC got back to me exactly a month after submitting my application. My course is a 10months PG diploma in Wireless telecomunication and cost 2.3M. He has 3.5M in fixed deposit, whch i provided d statmt n letter 4m d bank and about 2.6M in his personal acct statement with landed property worth 10m and CSCS acct statment that presently worth abt 2.3m and his tax clearance card. I only wanted to make CDHC believe i will cme back 2 naija, that ws y i said i had 2 come monitor his poultry biz since his getting old and am d only son, though he has 2 dependant bt made CDHC understand that he has no dependant. moreso i made dem understand the prospect of a wireless ntw engr in nigeria, and the readily available jobs in this sector n also provide a study leave letter 4m my employer.
I included my toefl result, professional certificates, uni xcript, resume, nysc cert, and other relevant docs(all originals), my statemt, CSCS, and my offer of employment letter, accomodation letter 4m a family friend i will b putting up wit
I even went ahead to list the cost of my stay in canada, b reaking it down 4m tuition, telephone bills and xport within canada.

Really i dont understand their reasons 4 saying i am nt a bonafide student n i dont hav enuf funds.

May God help us 4m CDHC o.
To everyone out there that are waiting patiently and anxiously 4m CDHC, i wont to implore u to keep praying 2 God concering ur application cos na only God 4 fit deliver d study permit 2 u o.
I intend defering d admission to january, so shd apply 2 d embassy again by oct/nov.
cos am nt ready to tie down my docs again, nt dis tym, cos i hav missed d opportunity 2 land a bigger job, bt my original docs ws somwhere on anifowoshe str, V.I while d job pass me by.

Mayb i was unable 2 convince dem enuf or mayb cos i dint pay my tuition, mayb! mayb!
Definitely God has a purpose having things work dis way.

May God help us.

Hello house!
I work in a reputable organisation and have had d intention 2 further my studies by doing an M.sc or PGD in canada. I hav gotten an acceptance letter from dis college, george brown college, ontario 2 b precise 4 sept admission bt i have been kinda confused on hw 2 go about my admission cos of d present exchange rate, and d deadline 4 tuition fee payment is may 1st 2009. Bearing in mind d present dollar-naira exchange rate, i almost lost interest when i received d acceptance letter n calculating my tuition in naira. bt on reading chi-jewel posts i am considering putting my application thru 2 d embassy b4 may 1st without paying my tuition fee(pending wen dollar-naira xchange rate will be favourable) . bt my fear is dat wont d embassy take dat against me(nt paying tuition )?I will like the house 2 giv me more insight on hw u 2 go about the visa application. My father will be my sponsor(though retired), necessary docs 2 submit? shd i go ahead n send thru courier or drop-box? wat do u think? i need ur advise asap. thanx buddies!!
