PRESS STATEMENT

NANS PRESIDENT IMPEACHMENT ; A VICTORY FOR NIGERIAN STUDENTS.

The attention of the leadership National Association of Nigeria Students Lagos state axis has been brought to the news circulating the media and all various campuses across the federation that Comr. Danielson Bamidele has been impeached by the NANS Senate.

This is a welcome development and a victory for the student's faculty, NANS LAGOS uses this medium to reaffirm her support for the  senate leadership and also commend them for the act of bravery, history will be kind to them.

The former leader was a two-faced bigot, corrupt individual, enemy of unity who choose to create faction in Zone B and Zone D for selfish interest and a butt licker to those who have robbed our nation of her commonwealth, such an individual is  unfit to represent the interests of the entire student populace.

NANS LAGOS also uses this medium to congratulate Comr.Chidi llogade and advised him not to tow the path of his predecessor.

The leadership also appeal to the convention planning committee CPC to make sure a befitting election is done to usher new leaders to lead the association.

PRESS RELEASE

NANS LAGOS BERATES FG, CHARGE FG/IGP TO REFORM SARS OR FACE THE WRATH OF NIGERIAN STUDENTS

The leadership of National Association of Nigeria Students Joint Campus Committee have been monitoring various End sars protests across the country, this is a welcome development and NANS Lagos express her gratitude to various conveners of this protests and the great Nigerian youths.

NANS Lagos under the leadership of Comrade Ogunsanya Rasheed will not tolerate any form of oppression or intimidation from the men of the Nigeria Police meted out against Nigerian Students and the youth at large.

The recent reports on Police brutality shows that students of various institutions in Nigeria are always at the receiving end of the SARS menace, killing a number of them, extorting them  and subjecting them to unnecessary unappealing psychological effects

National Association of Nigeria Students JCC Lagos is calling on the President Buhari, the National Assembly and the Inspector General of Police to reform the Nigeria Police Force, the infamous Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) and other Tactical Teams of the Police as a matter of urgency and if they can't be judiciously reformed, they should be SCRAPPED.

In lieu with the above and to press charge our demands we hereby call on our gallant students and comrades to prepare for massive actions during coming week as we will not fold our hand to watch our students harassed, extorted and killed by people who are to protect us.

Politics / Nans Lagos Supports Nlc, Tuc On Strike Action by Laspotect247(m): 11:14am On Sep 27, 2020
NANS LAGOS SUPPORTS NLC, TUC ON STRIKE ACTION; ENCOURAGE STUDENTS TO JOIN THE PROTEST

The leadership of National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Joint Campus Committee, Lagos Axis led by Comrade Ogunsanya Rasheed has thrown their full support to the purported strike by the Nigeria Labour Congress and the Trade Union Congress over the recent increase in pump price and electricity tariff.

The statement was issued and signed by Comr. Rasheed Ogunsanya, Chairman, NANS, Lagos JCC, to the press, on Sunday, Sept. 27, in Epe, Lagos.

The leadership of NANS Lagos fully supports the Action by NLC, TUC and also encourage Nigerians to cooperate with the body until the federal government do the needful.

In the advent of this anti-people policy, the leadership of NANS Lagos led a peaceful protest and give a public declaration of rejecting the incessant increment in PMS and Electricity tariff, calling on the government to reverse it.
Unfortunately, the federal government turn on a deaf ear, seems strike is the only language the federal government understands.

The increase in pump price is an injustice taking too far on the citizens of our country, as an association we reject this move by the federal government and are in total support of NLC and TUC.

Furthermore, the country is just reviving from a pandemic that has made most citizens loose lots of their income, increasing the pump price as well as the electricity tariff in this period is a punishment to the citizen and a sign that the leadership of the country do not care about its citizens.

More so, the association kindly indulge the federal government to critically consider the effect of this decision on the citizens most especially this trying times of Covid 19 and put in place policies and strategies which will help Nigerians recover from the effect of the pandemic.

In this same vain, the leadership of NANS Lagos as a means of solidarity support have directed the students of tertiary institutions in Lagos to stay off campus to show our support.

Politics / Love And Light  To Adams Oshiomole By Omobabaijebu by Laspotect247(m): 10:23pm On Sep 24, 2020
Love and Light  to Adams Oshiomole by omobabaijebu

I have known Adams oshiomole since the time of Former President Olusegun Obasanjo, A labour leader that was famous for his advocacy and standing by the side of the oppressed, as a matter of fact, many people saw Adam Oshiomole as the Nelson Mandela of Nigeria.

He was first appointed in 1982 as the secretary-general of the National Union of the textile garment, up until his recent humiliation by the leadership of the All progressive people's Congress, Adams Oshiomole has held one leadership position or the other in our country.

His contributions to the NLC cannot be undermined but then Adams Oshiomole became opposite of what he used to be during his tenure at the NLC compared to when he became the Executive Governor of Edo state in 2008, from being the voice of the voiceless to a known looter, election rigger, mini-god, and also supports our oppressors, this is not Adams Oshiomole stands for. It's sad to see people change when they are given little power.

Recall that the people of Edo state have been clamoring for the prosecution of Adams Oshiomole and one Dr. Idaahosa also took him to court in a bid to get him investigated for misappropriation of funds during his time as the Governor of Edo state, I can tell you that Adams Oshiomole has been able to escape justice because he has always been friends with people at the center, the current anti-corruption agency is weak which will make it difficult for him to be prosecuted

If Nigeria was a sane country where anti-corruption laws are obeyed, people like Adams Oshiomole are supposed to be behind bars for various atrocities committed against humanity. should Adams Escape justice from men will he Escape from his creator?

Adams Oshiomole time as the chairman of the All progressive people's Congress is another testimony that he is a bad leader, his failure to address lingering issues in the party since his assumption of office was one of the major reasons why the ruling party lost some state and seat to the opposition.  I have not since a useless ruling party like that of APC under the chairmanship of Adams oshiomole.

The same scenario also played out in Edo, where he turned himself to a mini-god, taking actions on behalf of the governor thereby rendering him useless and also denying him the second term ticket like he said in one of the videos can any man say God will not win? truly God won again, shaming him and his caucus of bitter people, today Edo state is free from Bondage, corruption, and God's fatherism.

What's next for Adams Oshiomole? well, we do not know but then a defeat sometimes helps you to strategize,  block loopholes, identify your enemy and learn to play your cards well. As for me, I will be sending him lots of love and light, I hope he becomes the Adams I know and once admire.

STAFF UNION CRISIS IN LAGOS STATE OWNED INSTITUTIONS: NANS JCC LAGOS URGE STUDENTS TO REMAIN CALM, PROMISE SCHOOLS WILL BE REOPENED IN EARNEST

The attention of the leadership of National Association of Ngerian Students (NANS), Joint Campus Committee, Lagos Axis led by Comrade Ogunsanya Rasheed has been called to the set back on the anticipated reopening of Lagos State owned tertiary institution.

This set back is said to have emerged from the lingering issues between the staff unions in the various institutions and the state government over payment of minimum wage and other fringe benefits.

While we are committed to protecting the interest of the entire Nigerian students in the State, NANS JCC Lagos uses this medium to apologize to students for the disappointment and also encourage students not to be violent or do anything that could deter the hinder the quick reaction of the government.

While we appreciate the willingness of the Lagos State government to reopen our schools, it is much more important that all parties involved are reached out to and all grievances be settled for proper academic resumption.

We appeal to our staff unions to be modern in resolving dispute as we frown at locking of school gates at the detriment of anxious students who can't wait to resume classes. We urge all staff unions to please sheath their swords. We expect the potent executive governor of Lagos State to have receive the ugly news, while we expect his team swift into action and fulfill the state obligation to allow academic activities continue in peace.

The students should note that the leadership of NANS Lagos JCC is behind them and there is no need to fear, actions are being taken and by the end of the day we will be briefed on the next line of actions.

Students are therefore encouraged to adhere strictly to the COVID-19 protocols as the interest of the students is second to known under the leadership of Comrade Ogunsanya Rasheed.

OPEN LETTER TO THE PRESIDENT NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF NIGERIAN STUDENTS (NANS)

TO;
THE PRESIDENT (NANS)
COM.BAMIDELE DANIELSON AKPAN,
NASARAWA STATE UNIVERSITY ,
KEFFI - LAFIA ROAD,
NASARAWA STATE.
NIGERIA.

                         TIME TO TAKE ACTION!

Aluta greetings to you Distinguish President. I am writing to you in respect of the continuous closure of tertiary institutions in Nigeria and the attending challenges therein by the Federal Government due to Covid-19.

As at today Nigeria, has less than fifty thousand Covid-19 cases. Out of the average five hundred cases announced by the Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC)  on a daily basis, according to a report by Punch Newspaper "31-40years of age are susceptible to Covid-19". With this report, there is a high possibility that there are fewer cases of those with age 16-30 years. If you agree with me Mr president, that is the age group of most of my fellow compatriots on our campuses nationwide. Clearly, Nigerian students can go back to their lecture halls if safety protocols are provided. The idea of allowing senior secondary school students resume for WASSCE without consideration for their counterparts in higher institution is to say the least short sightedness and lack of real time crisis management prowess.

Covid-19 in my view is acute malaria, mixed with what cannot be immediately termed by me as I write this. Statistics show that Nigeria has 25% of the malaria burden in Africa If we choose to move on with malaria without closing our economy and schools then why should we close them now when we can even take safety precautions.

Mr president sir, while students overseas are using their institutions' laboratories for research to ensure that a vaccine is produced, ours are locked. Not even  final year students can  access them for their projects. Our system has reduced supposed solution providers to mere objects meant to be fed with all sorts. It is no news that most students just go to school for the sake of reading to pass. This kind of mental drain portends great danger to the survival of our dear country and the future is not assured.

Recall that some state governments made effort with online classes. Checks with friends from different parts of the country have shown that this is not working, as most school do not have the requisite facilities to achieve this basic change to achieve optimum results. This alone is enough to show you that we are not ready as a nation and if Covid-19 last for a year or even more, our institutions might remain under lock and key with no contribution whatsoever.

Mr President Sir, I  am obliged to ask why your administration has been silent in the fight against Covid-19. I am not aware of any effort by your administration on this issue since genesis. I am persuaded to believe that you are not on the side of the millions of Nigerians on our campuses who are desperately looking for a way out as a number of them have opportunities that may be missed if something urgently is not done. The finalists are the worst hit.

In my opinion Sir, important actions to be taken are presented below. This is just the TIME TO TAKE ACTION;

1)A press conference addressing students that you have not forgotten them also to let them see reasons that your government stand with the students and not their age-long oppressors

2)There is a need for you to immediately arrange a meeting with all relevant stakeholders in government to discuss the immediate resumption of Nigerian students.

3)A need for Covid-19 palliatives for students, reduction in house rents and other utility bills that must have accumulated during this period

4)Immediate action on the reopening of tertiary institutions

Mr president I want you know that we can't continue to live in denial that this long break has not had a lot of negative impacts on the students and for a under-developed nation like ours, we should not jeopardize the future of our youths.

Let me also remind you that if necessary steps is not taken by your leadership, it will be remembered for her cowardly display on important issue such as this.

In conclusion, do not forget that posterity will judge us all. And if you want to write your name in NANS's good book of history, it would be better for you to do it right. And right now!

Yours in struggle,

OF hushpuppi, The Nigerian youths and the benchmark for success By @omobabaijebu101 on Twitter

Rahmon Abass popularly called hushpuppi is not a new name to instagram users in nigeria, the flamboyant and oppressive lifestyle of Rahmon made him popular on the gram and also got his account verified. A first class Gucci man, airlord and "E pain them" croner as been arrested by the Dubai police alongside his friends.

Good for him, good for the over 2million people they scammed, good for the Federal republic of Nigeria, the road to justice start now, hushpuppi will not go unpunished and this will surely happen to every Nigerian youth who have chosen to make money fraudulently, Thereby jeopardizing the chances of others who go out with their daily business legitimately.

I have always told people that there's nothing you achieve using fraud that you cannot achieve when you do what is right, the amount of energy you put into defrauding people, if you channel that same energy to do what is right you will definately achieve your dreams. That the sytem encourages fraud doesnt mean you should be a fraudster.

To others doing what is right there really no benchmark for success you can attain any level in life if you want to, never measure your succes with what you see on the gram, most people have regretted their existence because they wanted to be like hushpuppi, they prefer to be like hushpuppi than to be like Bill Gate there where carried away by the lifestyle and not how he makes his money.

People forget that when you are rich, there are a lot of findongs that would be done on how you made your money, not all of them are sycophants some really want to know where you get all the money you are trowing around.

Our elders will say "Whatever you work for will stay with you for a very long time " though hushpuppy might have claimed that he worked hard for his money but the truth his he was a fraudster and there is no dignity in that.

Aluta gyrations'20 by Olamilekan Idris; A reminder that the student's struggle must not die

It is no longer a news that Aluta gyrations'20 by olamilekan Idris is out and available for download at different online platforms, let me start by congratulating you on this big project you have been  able to achieve.  May the spirit of our leaders be with you and grant you success in your future pursuit.

The first verse talked about fighting our oppressors, and truly we are still fighting,  the student faculty have face a lot of intimidation from our oppressors across Nigeria, which reminds me of 2013/2014 when comrade stainless lead student to protest against the tyrannical government of ogun state, demanded for good welfarism of the student and the interference of the state government in the election of nans ogun jjc axis, we saw ex-student leaders supporting our oppressor and subverted the will of the people.

Truth is our oppressors are killing the spirit of unionism, from choosing who they like, to under funding the student's union government and also using former student leaders to fight the current union leaders, let this be read here that we will never forget their deeds.

Do we still have union leaders ? This is the question on the lips of  every student in Nigeria, but to be Frank with you,  I think the student unionism have lost it and people don't find it interesting since all you need to do is to know people in power even without elections you can be crowned the winner.

Not to bore you with talks, the aluta gyration is what every aspiring leader or every leader should download, I think this will help us remember where we are coming from, what is needed to be done and how we can become a great leader.

"I love gyrations I no go lie" I love this one also and I want to charge all other union leaders to give us something like this , please give us something that will take us back to history, story of our courageous leaders who where killed and those who have betrayed the student struggle

On the part of my brother Alimi, history will be kind to him and others who have teamed up to produce this track and honestly they brought back old memories.

It's my prayer that the keke of aluta will never fail you.

I know Emeka the man called odumeje now from our childhood days in Onitsha I remember her mother sells akara because he hawked akara then as a boy and they live at otumoye street just one street away from ours, we played football those days at Patrick Okolo field and Emeka was very good in football that we all thought he will be known like Sam okwaraji if he pursues a career in soccer
Now when he started this intervention ministry in his area I was one of those that doubted him knowing him as a street guy but he moved the ministry to modebe before building his church at fegge and now thanks to his persistence, social media and famous friends he is now very famous.
I want to chip in something because I have seen many people condemn this man as if they themselves hold the tickets to heaven, I dont go to Emeka's church not because I dont trust him but because am satisfied with the one I go to and I see no reason why people should be all up condemning and giving other churches bad names just because they dont conform to the beliefs or what you think the bible said(I want to state here that if you read bible through and through you will be surprised at somethings it said especially in the old testament ) I dont believe in church I believe in humanity and I know that God does too.
You see all these people and pastors who you think are righteous hmmmm you might be surprised about what they actually do even Emeka himself am not exoneration him but what you do as human being is live your life knowing that you won't partake in evil, dont live your life mimicking any church doctrines or its pastor and most importantly be good to your fellow human beings.dont be doing things on earth because you want to make heaven do it because its the right thing before God and man and dont condemn others rather learn from them
The man Emeka might not be a true man of God but you the OP can't swear your life on it so you can see you have no need to condemn him and he doesn't stop you from your beliefs, this is why we have millions of churches in our country yet we breed more sinners than true Christians cos we think that the CHURCH we belong to and its PASTOR or PRIEST is enough to send us to heaven
Peter and Paul in the bible have different ways and methods of spreading the gospel I want everyone to read their books in the bible, do you also know that Paul have clashes with the apostles based on his methods of teachings but all of them helped in spreading the gospel to all the nations of the world like Christ himself ordered which is more important than the methods
Stop condemning churches or pastors even other religions rather focus on learning something from them, what I learn from Emeka is that with persistence and self belief you will make your dream come true and what I learn from my Muslim colleagues is that you always adhere to the timetable of any religious activities these guys dont joke with that

I understand but he's becoming the joke of the town

"Odumeje-indabosky" -A disgrace to Christianity

“Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly are ravening wolves"
Matthew 7:15

Greetings to our brothers and sisters in the name of our lord jesus christ, As many may want to say that it is not my right and even biblical to judge anyone, Luke 6:37 “Judge not, and you will not be judged; condemn not, and you will not be condemned; forgive, and you will be forgiven" the bible also note that John 7:24 "Do not judge by appearances, but judge with right judgment.” with this I think I am right to call out the general overseer mountain of holy ghost and deliverance ministries popularly called odumeje.

In recent times, the videos of prophet chukwuemeka odumeje has surfaced on the internet with the popular chants of indabosky and some incantations which is against the teaching of our lord jesus christ.

The first thing we should look at, is the act in which he performs miracles, which I feel it's a crime against humanity, I don't understand the rationale behind performing miracles like there is a royal rumble or something similar to a John cena vs undertaker fight. The bible told us how our lord jesus christ performed miracles in Mark 1:30-31 "Simon’s mother-in-law was in bed with a fever, and they immediately told Jesus about her. So he went to her, took her hand and helped her up. The fever left her and she began to wait on them" if we call ourselves christ-like we should behave as one. The introduction of thuggery to the christendom is shameful and the national chistain bodies should act fast.

Pastor odumeje as seen on the internet dancing to worldly songs and display of money at the mall are attitudes that's shouldn't be exhibited by respected men of God in our society, although those who use it for clouts and bring ridicule to the church might not agree with me, I believe that the church integrity is at stake, therefore for us not to be seen as extremist we cannot take laws into our hands, but there's a need for the leadership of Christians in Nigeria to look into the matter.

Most of his preachings are Used as comic relief, there's absolutely no sense in what he's saying, I'm not condemning his grammar or the way he pronounces words, but the fact that he chants some words like he's in the shrine is pathetic at the same time thought provoking, this attitude have generated a lot of controversies on the internet , with daily debate on the authenticity of his calling. According to 2 Corinthians 5:17 "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come" Prophet odumeje is not only a christain but a Christian leader, his acts are of the old ways and those not shows that truly he is a man called by God.

Our lord jesus christ gave us some warning about the end time and false prophets as seen below:

(Matt. 24:4-5), “See to it that no one misleads you. For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will mislead many.
(2 Tim. 4:3-4), “For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires, and will turn away their ears from the truth and will turn aside to myths.”
Truly the end is here and christain need to be careful where they worship, and the way of life that their leaders live, prophet odumeje is leading young folks astray and if care is not taken, a lot of young people out there will copy similar character and before we know it, the Christian family will be polluted. This is a call to the Christian association of Nigeria and other christain bodies, to form a panel of enquiry on the mountain of holy ghost ministries owned by prophet chukwuma odumeje.

2 Timothy 4:2, NIV: "Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage--with great patience and careful instruction."

The northern hegemony and the thirst for blood and power; By @omobabaijebu

The amalgamation of the southern and northern protectorate in 1914, gave birth to what we have today called Nigeria, if you agree with me , since our independence in 1960, it has been difficult for Nigerians to live as one big family, from the first coup in Nigeria led by General ckukwuma Kaduna Nzeogwu, to the Nigeria -biafra war and other coup d'etat led by soldiers of the federal republic of Nigeria, it is evident that it's impossible for us to live together as one, which makes the one Nigeria campaign a hoax.

The northerners have always seen themselves as the superior and they have a common believe that Nigeria belong to them, there is a popular saying among them that, "they are born to rule" of course they are born to rule , no thanks to the British government who handed over the affairs of the nation to them and ensured that they enjoy at the expense of the southerners.

In 2015 Alhaji lawal Keita a senior citizen of this country and one of the northern leaders said that " A northerner must emerge else we will divide", such inciting statement from an elder statesman was uncalled for, as it was capable of setting the country on fire, are we going to neglect the fact that from 1960 to date, we have got more northerners rule this country than the other region (The south ) so what's wrong if Jonathan decide to go for a re-election.

Also that same year Dr junaid Mohammed, who is also a leader in the north said that "there will be bloodshed if Jonathan run in 2015" this leaders have forgotten that it is within his right to contest any position in the country and for our country to develop we must look beyond religious and ethnic lines, the best man must be put forward, which is left for the citizens to vote in who they feel it's right, Although a northern candidate emerged after the general election, should things have turned out the other way, there are probability that by today Nigeria will only exist on paper.

The love of power and the thirst for blood by the northerners when they are denied leadership position can be seen in the remarks of General Muhammad Buhari before 2015 elections, he told people that came to visit him in Kaduna that it will be bloody if the election is not transparent, one could wonder if Buhari was the inec chairman to determine if the election is transparent or not, As a respected citizen of the country why threaten violence when an election have not been conducted ? Should Buhari have lost that election the southerners living in the north would have been the target and many of them would be killed like chicken.

Recall that Abdulaziz sulaiman the spokesman of coalition of northern groups gave the federal government a 30 days ultimatum over the controversial RUGA settlement policy as reported in the punch online newspaper, he was quoted to have said that "the north isn't weak to defend itself" what does that mean? Why do the north see every means for them to spill blood whether between their southern counterparts or the minority northern Christians. I can continue to bring more examples on how the north on several occasion have threatened our peace as a nation.

The new generation have taken from their fathers "born to rule behavior" recently the #IamNorth on Twitter, where northern youths take pride in how there leaders have enslaved the south and dominate the political arena of our country, a user named truth seeker said
"Nigeria is ours , we will keep ruling and leading Nigeria , leadership is in our genes coz we are Northerners , if you don’t want us to lead you , just gather your belongings and leave Nigeria." This is the thought of an average northerner toward the south. It should be written on every where that the south are not slaves, and federal character needs to be respected.

Just like beans and bread, to the north power and blood is the same, they don't mind going through the hole of a needle to get power, but what they fail to understand is that you can get power by any means you which to, even if it means killing your brother, but power come with so many things, from knowing where to use it, to proper distribution and respect for federal character and rule of law. The northerners are blinded by power as such they see other regions to be inferior to them.

Take a look at the result from the last presidential election, it will be difficult for any southerner to win elections, without the full support of the north, without electoral reform, results may be written up north without proper election and at the end the winner will emerge from the north, the fact that the two leading party produced northern candidate shows that, in terms of power Nigeria is built around the north and they are here to stay for a very long time, unless the south is ready to take up the fight and get their right.

The Muhammad Buhari administration have not hidden their hate for southerners, from 2015 northerners have been given juicy appointments, controlled our militarywhile thet subject our politicians in the south to political witchhunt and harrassment. While many writers don't go with the idea of federal character, but competence, we must ask ourselves in the south if there's no one who is competent among us ? Our political leaders are been painted corrupt to give ways for their northern allies and at the end we all claim that we are one.

To the northerners since they are ruling, everything is seen natural and normal, it doesn't matter to them if others are hurting, or even if there's a need for them to be aware of the workings of the government. Nigeria is for all of us , and if we must succeed as a nation, the north must see herself as equal to the south.

Long live federal republic of Nigeria

president Buhari and his team of sycophants -omobabaijebu

To God be the glory, finally the president of the country finally heard our prayers tweets and post, it was a nice feeling to see our president again even if some quarters agree that the so called press conference was pre-recorded, at least that has perished the thought whether the president is around or not.

Ever since, the God people of this country have been asking the president to address the nation, especially a time like this where there is a global epidemic and on a regular basis we have seen president's of sister countries address their respective nation.

In November 2012 senator victor Ndomma-Egba sponsored a bill to provide an act for the state of nation address by the president, but then the bill didn't pass through as the Senate agreed that it is unconstitutional for the president to address Nigeria via a media chat and if he must do that, he must come to the national assembly, constitutionally its not mandatory for the president to address Nigerians from time to time, but in difficult time it's expected that he speaks and assures Nigerians of safety.

The presidential address yesterday made many of his sycophants looks stupid, most of them gave the entire nation over 100 reason why he should not adress us, all I can say is that shame to them, it high time they stop embarrassing their generations, and be patriotic. patriotism should be to the country and not to the leader, you can't support fraud and claim to be patriotic, the biggest challenge of the Muhammad Buhari administration is sycophants surrounding him, they will never tell him truth.

With the result of the chief of staff to the president testing positive to covid-19, rumours have been flying around that the president might have been infected with the virus, considering his closeness between the duo, as it stands now, Nigeria is like a bus without its driver, and like our people will say it's better for your "child to die, than for him to get lost"

I have read various tweets and articles defending the president with some people going as far as threatening opposition voices for daring to ask about the whereabouts of their president, this is not only troubling, it's a difficult situation we are into. we must continue to ask where is president Buhari ?

Series of press release by the presidential media team is not enough, as we are not sure that he's aware, all we need is an address, this will be enable us to rate the intellectual capacity of our president, is plan and way forward, the careless statement made by the special assistant to the president on media Mr femi Adesina, that the failure of the president to address the nation is as a result of his leadership style, is insensitive because one could wonder what leadership style warrants that he doesn't address the nation, even during the military regime in a situation like this, the leader would have address the nation.

President Buhari is a problem himself, owing to the fact that he has always been traveling to London for treatments, but his hallelujah boys are more of a problem to him than his health, defending incompetence and failure is a threat to national development. no country makes progress when sycophants are within the corridor of power, to them it is about defending their leader than defending the masses, we all know it's their job to protect the image of the president likewise it's their job to take the plea of the masses to him.

Nobody knows the true state of health of our president, till today not even those who call themselves aides are sure of what's wrong with the president, this action will allow the citizens believe whatever they see on the internet.

if the president must perform as expected then he must do away with his hallelujah boys.

Vibes with Dj Tuzo: The birth of a monster on the wheels of steel by Omobabaijebu

For the very time in my life, I have the opportunity to attend a show, not just an ordinary one but fun filled, it was a pleasant moment and I enjoyed every bit of my time, I was not happy at first because looking left and right I could see a lot of sexy ladies, as a single guy I stayed glued to my phone, a fucking unhappy me will still "gbese" irrespective of my present situation.

Let me use this medium to greet my special friend, Damilare, he's tuzo younger brother and the inspiration why I am here today, I never had the intention of coming but after we crossed path, I decided to turn up, I like his energy when tuzo was coming on stage at first, I was rooting for my guy not to loose his voice, keep up the energy brother, you and your team are going places.

Music's plays a key role in our lives and there's nothing more sweet than when a Dj is mixing the old and new generation music, I must say today event redefines our music, honestly your party is not complete without a Dj, the likes of Dj small and A4 also played key role In today's event, the marlian music mix by Dj A4 got the student on their feet with everyone screaming to the high heavens.

The energy of king Tife is on another level, never knew he was a hype man, his delivery was mad, contents was top notch and he got the building electrified again, I am proud to identify with people like that, whatever you do, ensure that you put your best in it, one day it will surely be your turn. Never will I forget the effort of the director of photography of this event, Elite photography was everywhere, captured the shots and I can't wait to see the pictures.
.

The second coming of Dj tuzo, got me sitting right there with two beautiful ladies beside me shaking the bum, the hard guy in me is smiling now, "mo ti ready ati gbe body" the official hype man setting me in the mood already and nothing is stopping this gbedu, somebody hold my school public relations officer, videoing every moment but this crowd won't let her pass, the tears on the face of tuzo is a symbol of love, I could only imagine myself seeing this lots of love from people I barely know, this is a testament that Dj tuzo remains the best we have in our community at large. This were the highlight my eyes could catch or reach, but trust me if Dj tuzo should hold another program I am definitely coming.

The likes of Dj Jimmy jatt, Dj kaywise and Dj spinal, are notable names in the industry, they started small and today they are a force to reckon with, the magic fingers of Dj tuzo is incomparable, his life and gameplay should serve as motivation to every one's pushing, the road may seem rough but one day you will get to your peak. To the students who showed up today, you made this event a memorable one, without you there will be no show today, this is the kind of energy we need, we need to support our own, a win for him is a win for all of us.

There's no program without its ups and downs, today the electricity wanted to spoil the show, but in between of the shenanigans we still had maximum fun, the upcoming artists too also try to fit in their best, I'm optimistic that in the nearest future, event hosted by bosscity will put all the shortcomings into consideration.

I will end it here with the word of the legendary Naira Marley, "Dj tuzo fans come forward the rest Bleep off"

NIGERIA WILL BE GREAT AGAIN

"They will fight against you, but they will not overcome you, for I am with you to deliver you declares the LORD"

My country people, I brought a message of hope to you this morning, from the Bible verse above you will see that our politicians in respective of the political parties they belong, have chosen a battle against the citizens, though they have their way now but surely they cannot overcome us.

As citizens of this great country, we need to come together to champion the course of a better Nigeria, we need to think about ourselves and the generation to come, if we don't and we allow them to have their way, they will eat up the federation and nothing will be left.

From a country ranked to be the fastest growing economy to a country globally known as the poverty capital of the world, this is shameful as our leaders have failed us in all capacity, the 2020 budget presented by the president shows that there is no headway for a better country, we keep living in debt that even the 10th generation cannot pay.

Budgeting 48 billion Naira for education shows that the present administration don't value knowledge, this didn't catch me as a surprise because the president himself doesn't value education, the only way the poor can be exposed is by giving them formal education, our leaders deliberately want to kill education so thar they can have their way, without education it's easy to manipulate brains to make them believe anything they say.

Let's talk about security and how government official have locked up critics, the security of the country has worsens, our army generals are fighting wars with fasting and prayer instead of going to war with guns and war equipment, about 743 soldiers have been buried in the north east, the figures keep rising and our leaders are bereft of ideas on how to end insurgency in the country, some government official will rather fight critics instead of contributing their quota to fight injustice, from Joseph odok to Abba jalingo to Stephen kefas and dadiyata. Most of them are paying the price for holding their government accountable.

Our health care facility as at today is in a state of comatose, most of our government own hospital don't have neccesary equipment to take care of the citizens, some don't have doctors to attend to them, our best hands are leaving the country, seeking greener pastures elsewhere , their country of birth have failed them, and since they don't want to be a failure theh have to move.

Are we going to forget poverty in the land, No we can't, they don't even rate us, they want civil servant with a family of four to spend #22, 500 while they spend billions doing nothing. The present government use every meduim they have to glorify poverty and advise citizens to live within their means, the means they failed to live to, our leaders are worst than the devil but can we blame them? We can keep blaming them but we should blame ourselves the most as we keep voting fools into power.

The masses need to come under one umbrella, seek for Electoral reform and ensure that our votes count, Nigeria will be great again but as citizen we have a huge role to play, not only electing leaders also demanding great leadership from them, we shouldnt allow them rest until they fufil their campaign promises.

They have started again, using sycophants to push there 2023 ambition, but then the lucky ones among us are not wise enough to ask them if they have delivered on the purpose they were elected? God has giving Nigeria all it needs to succeed, it left to us to do what is needful.

May God help our leaders to lead us right.

Politics / Nigeria At 59 : The Fall Of A Great Country. By @omobabaijebu101 by Laspotect247(m): 8:40am On Oct 01, 2019
Nigeria at 59 : The fall of a great country. By @Omobabaijebu101

My country men and women let me take us back a bit to 2009, when the federal government of nigeriabrought about the vision 2020, the goal then was that by "2020 Nigeria will be one of the 20 largest economies in the world, able to consolidate its leadership role in Africa and establish itself as a significant player in the global economic and political arena"
Nigeria economy covers manufacturing, finance, service communications, technology and entertainment sectors. Nigeria is ranked 27th largest economy in the world, 7th place short of its 20th position mark in 2009, with few month to go, I don't think it's possible for Nigeria to meet the mark.
Let's no forget that Nigeria has the biggest economy in Africa but how as it affected the life of a common man?
In the year 1999 the unemployment rate of Nigeria was at 4.01% with a population of over 119 million, that is a larger percentage of our people have one or two things they were doing to earn a living, between 1999 to 2019 Nigeria population has increased to 200 million, that's about twice the figure we have in 1999, but then the unemployment is currently on the high at 23%, it means more people lost their job or investments.
Our leaders are selfish and corrupt, most of them have held up to power since 1999 with nothing to show for the role they have played in developing Nigeria.
From unemployment to insecurities to lack of basic amenities to lack of basic health facilities e.t.c, our politicians have not been able to build the Nigeria of our dream for the past 59 years, today they will all gather to celebrate independence, in the right sense we are still in bondage, the only difference is that before it was the white men that were holding us but now it's our politicians that are holding us to ransom.
In the year 2015, when the leadership of president Muhammadu Buhari came on board, they promised heaven and earth, they promise to drive the country on the right path and bring back the glory days, little do we know that we are in for a 8-year torture and bad governance.
The last 4years Nigeria lacked quality leadership, instead of celebrating 59th indepence with lots of achievements, Nigeria will be rembered by the rest of the world has the poverty capital of the world, Nigeria is not safe to give birth, Nigeria has the highest out of school children, the list can go on, On how our leaders have failed us.
The north east /north west have seen bandits and Boko haram take almost half of the villages, instead of fighting insurgency our leaders have resulted to spiritual warfare or paying ransom to this set of wicked people, how do we fight insurgency when the government encourage them to do more by paying or praying for them. The special anti robbery squad, are the latest killers and extortionist in town, killing and extorting innocent citizens of their hard earned money, regards to people who have lend their voices to speak up against the oppression from the men of the police force.
In 1967 when idea of Biafra started and led to the Civil War, one would have thought that Nigeria will split, but after the war ended in 1970 we were able to come together as one for the development of our dear nation, today we are more divided due to the attitude of our leaders, today we can say two indepence day are being celebrated, while one his on record as October 1 the other is used as a Remembrance day for the Biafra agitation, in the right sense we all know that day is a sign that the people needs freedom. This division is everywhere, we are now blinded by our ethnic affiliation even into government position, the current leadership have abandoned federal character.
The recent clampdown on the press also show our we have deteriorated, freedom of speech is no longer guaranteed, about 10 or more persons have been arrested and are in detention for holding their government accountable, the recent one is dadiyata who was kidnapped from his home in August and till today he hasn't been found. Is this how we will continue? Is this the dream of our founding fathers? These are question on the lips of every Nigerian, lack of leadership have drawn us back and at 59 we can only conclude that Nigeria is 59 years backwards.

May Almighty God heal our land

*Delivering Effective unionism* : my account on *Yusuf Ismail* (leading presidential aspirant)

Written by *@omobabaijebu101* on Twitter.

*Greatest Nigeria students!! Articulate Laspotians!!*

It's no longer a news that my brother,  The symbol of hope is no longer in the race of the top most seat of the union, it's within my right as a student of this great institution to search for credible candidate, which I feel has the interest of students at heart, the search went four couple of days, and after declaration of position by various candidate, my brother *Yusuf Ismail* happens to be the best man for the job.

In this piece, I will take us around on the achievement and what the *Yusuf Ismail* administration is all about, it's benefit to Laspotians and a need for us to support him.

Within our school, *Yusuf Ismail* has been useful to his department, faculty and the entire school, in the year 2016/2017 he was the Vice President for the department of food technology, his immense contribution to the development are there for record purposes, little wonder he enjoys the support of all members of the department.

In terms of leadership he has shown to be distinctive during his time at UTIVA in 2017 where he served as the team lead, with the help of God he has been able to deliver in every capacity of leadership he finds himself, this is divinely given and I believe he will reciprocate such when he's elected as the president of the student union government.

He was a volunteer member at the Lagos Digital Summit, 2018 and Marketting Edge Summit 2019 coupled with his role as the social media manager for let's learn Africa, this is to tell you how digital our school will be, the social media presence, using this mediums to increase the finance of our institution.

The *Yusuf Ismail* administration will be an all inclusive one, where every one's opinions count, he's youthful, unique, smart, faithful and has a great understanding on how the union government is runned.

His intellectual capacity and his mode of addressing issue is top notch, very responsive and responsible in discharging his duties, what more do you need of a president, *Yusuf Ismail* is a 7 in 1 package that all Laspotians must embrace, support and vote him in the next election.

A *Yusuf Ismail* administration will bring about stiff competition with other schools who will be trying to emulate his style of governance, Laspotians will be proud of his administration and will be great full to God for giving us the kind of leader we have.

I have a great faith in him that he will perform beyond expectations and I'm calling on fellow students to also look at the choices before us, put them on a scale of preference and see what I'm saying about his candidature, let's come out en mass to support him and vote him on election day.

I remain *Omobabaijebu*.
