Travel / Re: Can I Sell My House To Relocate 2 Canada At The Age Of 43 On A 5yr Tourist Visa? by Laurieuc: 7:56am On Aug 09, 2023
Good day people!!!!

What are the options that are available for person that has Business Visitor Visa approved in July 2023 after almost a year on the waiting list ? (the visa was granted to attend a conference).

1. Can he remain in Canada after the conference?
2.. Can he seek asylum? Since the visa of entery was for a conference
3. Can he get a work permit?
4. If the person has some handy work like being a tailor or something...Will that help?

Knowledgeable people please assist in answering. Much appreciation on advance

Hello people

Hope you are all doing good

So i went for my vusa interview today and was denied

The visa officer only asked where i work and what i do and which country i have been ro before and i said UK

Next thing she said i am not eligible...she did not bother to ask for any documents. I had my doctors appointment, i had even paid most of the doctor's fee

What could have informed this? Looking through my form am wondering if it has to do with contact info in the US when filling the form i put the name of the Doctor under organisation name and put contact as "i dont know" because the form never allowed me at the point of filling to put both name of contact and Org. name and contact at the same time. Dunno why...

Also when it asked if i had done print for all 10 fingers i said NO because i frankly could not remember if i did the last time i was granted visa.

Or could it be that the officer didnt hear when i said vacation and Childbirth? Meanwhile my baby bump is obviously showing

I am really confused...anyway...its all good

Hello, thanks for this info.
Did you also use WHMC, Houston? They already specifically told me they can’t accept any form of payment from me again.

Please how much in total did you pay? What amount was the hospital fee?

uote author=temistraws post=84044071]Good morning everyone.

Please does anyone have any info on how to pay discounts from hospital in Texas?

I had my last baby in WHMC, Houston and was given some discounts as a self pay patient but the embassy is insisting that it’s too much and was denied in July..

Tried applying again after so much back and forth with the hospital and they kept insisting they can’t collect any more money from me as I am not owing them.

I just left the embassy and was still denied visa cuz of this same discount issue but the V.O asked me to search google and look for means of payment to the state as he has seen some people with similar case make such payment.

Please any one with useful info should please reply ASAP.

Thank you. [/quote]

P.S..

Anyone with a recent visa approval story to share? Was it online or paper application? How long did it take to get your passport back with the visa?

Regards!

My people una doh ooo!

Still on the visa aplication.... when peeps say they applied for tourism visa, does it mean clicking tourism as purpose of visit? Beacuse i noticed the when you click this in the online questionnaire thats when one of the requirement boxes explains that you need proof of medical appointment

On the other hand if you choose "other" as purpose of visit non of the about six requirements of documents indicate that you need proof of medical appointment....

The above seems like the opposite of what people have been saying here? Or am i the one not getting it...?

Hotstepper:
The cost of birthing in Alberta is that much and can go as high as 20k so u have to make sure u have more than that amount.

For the purpose of medical visa, u have to get both drs and hospital quote and some form of evidence for the officers to see nd not just putting figures in ur LOE.

If you apply for tourist visa, 1 or 2 things might happen which is i think is happening alot now

1. u will be called by the embassy to ask if you are preggy
2. turned bk at the aiport in Canada.
3. you might be lucky

All the best

Nawa ooo...this is looking like a " to your tent O Isreal situation" well i remain hopeful that everything will work out well...

Candybright:

Have you tried the email method someone mentioned some pages back? Like sending mail and getting whatever breakdown/correspondence and adding it to your application. Atall atall.

Yes indeed. There are like 4 major hospitals in Alberta under the Alberta Health Sevices...when you google any of the hospitals the email you get is the same email for all...i sent a mail there no reply

I googled some of the gyneas in Alberta and only 1 had an independent email to which i sent my enquiry..no reply

Thats when i put a call to the Peter Lougheed no. I got and they said i have to be on ground!

Hello my people!!!

Hope you are all doing well?

I am currently preparing my documents for my visa application, but getting a doctor's appointment for Calgary hasnt worked out yet..its actually a bit confusing...

I put a call to 2 hospitals in SW Calgary and what i am getting is that they dont accept out of pocket patients.

I also called a number i got for Peter lougheed hospital for NW Calgary, they accept cash patients but say you have to be in Canada to get an appointment? And even said the cost is 15k CAD

So how will i now get a doctor's appointment for the purpose of visa application.

Abi i should just apply for a tourist visa or just a regular visiting visa? And indicate that i will be birthing my baby in the LOE?

Please gurus in the house, kindly help out...

Hello people

please has anyone gone to Canada to give birth especially CS birth without knowing or having anyone over there? if yes:

how did you apply paper or online?
what did you do about the requirement of letter of invitation since you don't have anyone?
where is Canada did you give birth? details of hospital and doctor, cost
how did you get accommodation and the cost?
how did you help yourself any nanny or caregiver? since no one relative or friend to rely on for this

will be grateful if I get an answer

kudos @hotstepper and other who have been giving support from the beginning of this thread.

Good day everyone, been reading through this thread for a bit. Is there anyone that has info on an affordable part of Canada to give birth knowing that it's likely to be by CS and you don't have anyone with you to assist? How does one get accommodation and a person that can assist for awhile after birth and also a good doctor / hospital
