LeBail:
I didn't have the enthusiasm to write this, but I'd be an ingrate if I didn't, as reading how others did theirs went a long way during my capturing process. I scheduled for capturing on 6th June, 9am (they don't follow the time, only the date). Team DIY. The following events took place at Passport Office, Alausa, Lagos;

1. I got into the passport office premises around 9am. I was yet to sign my guarantor's form and I read on here you can do it for N500. I don't know where, but I was armed with the price. I asked around and got offers for 3k, 2k, and 1.5k. I went on to a photocopy shop (three houses from the passport office, beside LASRA) and got it for N1,000. I'm sure if I knew the office of the notary person, I'd have gotten it for less because it was collected from me and taken elsewhere by an attendant.

2. I waited till 10am as the lawyer wasn't around when I got there. When I left, I headed into the passport office (nose mask isn't a must, don't be cajoled to buy one in case you didn't come with one, I'd advise you to go with one though) around 10.20am and submitted my "Application Slip" as requested by the front desk SERVICOM attendant on the right side of the hall entrance. Go straight to them, don't mind the queue outside, go straight inside on your right, you'd see them there.

3. The document was collected and I was told to go wait outside. After about an hour, I went in to ask them what's up, and I was told my name had been called (this is absurd, no names were called as I was waiting outside). My slip was returned and I was told to look at the info behind them to arrange my documents. I was told to put it in a file, that I can get it outside. I went outside and got a pink file for N500 and a tag (you only need one, the guy that sold it to me said I needed two, it costs N50 each).

4. After my docs had been arranged, I was directed to go to the ACI's office where they will be checked by a senior officer. Na here I kon jam agbako! S/he requested the original of my birth certificate which I don't have, I had been using a photocopy from the past as an original. This is my bad, s/he didn't accept it and said s/he can't do anything about it, say s/he no fit sign am except s/he sees the original or an affidavit to back the photocopy.

5. I went back to the woman I used to sign my guarantor's form and I was billed N2,000 for Age Declaration affidavit which was ready in less than 30mins and I dashed back to the officer in the ACI's office. S/he said I was too fast! Because s/he said what I needed doesn't mean I should get it done immediately (wonderful!). S/he told me to go wait outside and threatened to seize my documents if I persisted. I jejely went outside and sat for over an hour.

6. I went back in to check on the officer, explained that I didn't mean to be rude, and s/he told me to go think, say if I don think finish, make I show back. I didn't leave because I knew what s/he meant. To skip details, I added 2k cash to my file and handed it over. S/he codedly slipped the 2k into the drawer, went on to sign my docs and I was sent back to the SERVICOM guys in front where I was told to go sit for capturing. By this time, it was 4.29pm already.

7. I captured and left the premises around 5.37pm, collection date on slip 08/07. Let's keep our fingers crossed. When I tracked at night, my passport production was in progress.

PS: to avoid hiccups for DIY, please go with your original documents or swear affidavits beforehand to support the ones (photocopy) you have.

10. There was nothing more I could do here. After he didn't reply any longer and no plug-in was forthcoming, I took a gentle bow out. I had been beaten. The struggle continues.

If you followed up to this level, please suggest a name for him and report his numbers on Truecaller as a scam and if possible, report his Telegram page. He's not active on Instagram like he used to, report him there too. Please, help ensure he doesn't scam anyone who searches keywords related to him.

9. He referred to me as a foolish person for the first time here and later told TGS I sent a fake alert. undecided

8. This is a screenshot from TGS when he contacted Joshua with the same screenshot I sent to Joshua with my foreign account. TGS did first which got his attention the first time. The content of the covered image was my last message with him which he didn't read or respond to.

I believe at this point he was shaking and decided to remove the posts he made on his channel with our conversation since he believed people were actually contacting me. It also shows the Zenith Bank account belonging to Samuel Chidiebere.

7. As he was eager to close the deal, I sent him a message I manipulated myself between my two WhatsApp accounts claiming the foreign one contacted me for confirmation if it was real. For the first time, he made mention of fake alert and called me a joker.

6. I changed my style of writing, my display picture and even changed my name on Truecaller. I use the foreign WhatsApp legitimately for freelancing and whenever I want to be anonymous just like this instance. At this point, I got the Zenith Bank account details of Samuel Chidiebere instead of Daniel Obiora's First Bank. It was later TGS revealed a screenshot showing he got the same Zenith details for the most recent transaction he was about to initiate before I contacted him.

5 - 6. No pictorial representation here, but at this point, things had gone sideways, the transaction had elapsed for over 24hrs and there was no update from him. I initiated a call which he picked, told me he would read my messages on WhatsApp (as he had ignored my messages prior to the call). He ended the call but never read my messages. At that point, I knew I had been scammed. To prove myself wrong, I called him an hour later both on WhatsApp and normal phone calls, he never picked. I called with my second line and he did, after hearing my voice, he ended the call and never picked subsequent phone calls from both lines.

Alas, I was right. I had truly been scammed! It was then I did what I should have done; contacting The Good Samaritan. I scrolled on his Telegram Channel to where I can find The Good Samaritan's contact number which I got and texted him on WhatsApp. I was skeptical he could be the one but the person turned out to be different as the first advice was that I should RUN when I enquired if Joshua 49ja was real.

We got talking both on phone calls and WhatsApp messages where he revealed how Joshua/Danny operated and how I saved him from falling for his new scam as he was about paying 10k (a discount as he's an old customer) for phone plug-in (15k).

What led to picture 6 was after he (TGS) sent Joshua a screenshot (TGS claimed he contacted me via mail as my email address was revealing partially in the post he made with our conversation) of my conversation with him (Joshua) which he didn't read or respond to. Joshua claimed I was a foolish person.

I got his attention at that instance, he read my messages and responded. He didn't say anything intelligent as he went back to his routine of ignoring my messages (can be seen in my last picture no. 10)

This led to no.6 where I contacted him with my foreign WhatsApp account.

5. Completion and confirmation of the transaction (which he later claimed was a fake alert to The Good Samaritan and a foreign WhatsApp account I own). Also in this screenshot, you'll find out the conversation led to me asking that he traded on the first day on my behalf as I saw another post on his Telegram page around then that he was going to trade for the other party who paid 20k for PC plug-in (if that person were to be real too, he'd be regretting his decisions as well). I subsequently dropped my login details and funded my account which he never logged into talk more trade.

4. My journey to being scammed. Initiation of transaction. The account details of Daniel Obiora can be seen. A Google search showed no harm, hence my decision to further close the deal.

1. This picture entails a snippet of his pinned post as at 14:41 GMT+1 22-02-2020 on his Telegram Channel; Joshua/49ja color trading/binary platform.

Before I begin, he used to post on Bet9ja 49ja. All he requires is that you fund your bet account with 30k and he trades on it using a software. He claims to make 400 - 500k daily (though posts pictures of mostly 90 - 122k). He claims the networks are down during those times. That was when I met him. Then all of a sudden, this February 2020, he switched to the new casino platform on Bet9ja called Champions. Since he had dealt with several people in the past, I just decided to subscribe as it was cheaper than the requirements for Bet9ja 49ja. He was peddling plug-ins; 15k for mobile and 20k for PC. He claims the plug-ins manipulates the outcome of the spin. He made some videos (probably manipulated) and I don't know how I fell for them.

PS: He never really traded 49ja, he was actually playing virtual football, I got to know this from one of his posts as the number of the person was revealing enough (this was where I bleeped up, I should have. contacted him before dealing). It was until after I was scammed The Good Samaritan (referring to the person I contacted, this name or TGS will be used to refer to him throughout my posts) took his time out to call and explain his dealings with Joshua that he only saw virtual football in his transaction history. He was only playing smart with people's accounts and sharing profits if things go well.
He only traded successfully for the first day. Subsequent days were never successful as The Good Samaritan claimed after they both talked things out on seeing he wasn't playing 49ja, he threatened to spoil his business as his number was revealing and people were contacting him. Joshua confessed he was only hustling and they tried the virtual bets two more times with 30k each without return. He promised to compensate him with DGI (binary related software bullshit he's cooking up I guess).

I tried to mention the names/handles in the image attached, at least for keywords sake. I will keep trying though.

Edited: I kept trying to mention the keywords even without a single number or any social media name. I got banned still. I'm losing enthusiasm as the image isn't sufficient enough to nail him.

I was banned repeatedly by the antispam bot for posting links. So, I will add the links in an image file instead but make some keywords available in case his prospective victims takes out time to Google search.
Crime / Detailed Scam Report Of Bet9ja 49ja/champions Scammer Joshua 49ja by LeBail: 11:05am On Feb 25, 2020
As embarrassing as it is, I got scammed! Not like anyone couldn't be, but it shouldn't have been me. My emotions got the better off me and I couldn't conduct basic researches to affirm the scammer wasn't real. I did research, but it wasn't thorough, his video testimonies and screenshots made me believe he was real enough to be trusted. I was scammed 15k, yeah it's that small but I was too gullible.

Here's my advice before I continue with the story... If it's too good to be true, it really is fake, no two ways about it, RUN!

If you arrived here after running a basic Google search, count yourself lucky. I never saw this info during mine, hence my fall for his scam. Please run! If you want to follow the details, stay hooked and follow my story.

I've been an ardent user of Nairaland since way back 2014 and my real moniker is a unique one that would reveal my identity pretty fast. Permit me to be anonymous as this isn't something to be proud of and at the same time I don't want the scammer to go scot-free henceforth. So, in my pictorial representations, you'll find some contents covered, this was done so as to preserve my identity. Thanks.
