Business / How You Can Use Pinterest To Drive Traffic To Your Affiliate Link by Legohouse: 5:17am On Dec 20, 2021
Pinterest is one of those platform that a lot of people overlook when it comes to advertising, but it is also the platform I have use to drive massive traffic to my affiliate links.

So why is Pinterest a great source of generating massive traffic?

Unlike what many people believe, Pinterest is not a social media platform. Pinterest is a search engine; this means that your contents will continue to be found years after being published instead of disappearing a few hours later like on platforms such as Facebook and Instagram.

It’s easier to rank. Pinterest’s algorithm isn’t as advanced as Google’s, which means it’s easier and faster to rank for popular keywords.
The audience consists of high-income users. 27% of adults who use Pinterest earn $30,000-74,999 per year, and 41% earn more than $75,000, according to Statista.

People are ready to buy. 47% of Pinterest users make purchase decisions on Pinterest, which is more than Facebook at 15% and Instagram at 11%, according to Statista.

Let me show you how you can use pinterest to drive traffic to your blog, affiliate link, social media page, etc.

Before we go any further, if you do not have a Pinterest account, create one. If you do, then convert it to a business account. A business account affords certain priviledege you wont get using a personal account. For example, you cant upload videos or post affiliate links in your personnal account.

(How to convert to a business account)

Click on the circle in the right corner of your profile
Go to account setting
Go to linked business account, and then click create account.

Now you have created a business account, let’s continue.

1. Create your pin
If you want to grow your following on Pinterest, there are 3 different types of content you should be posting
• Idea pin (Unfortunately, idea pins are not available in certain countries (Nigeria included)
• Pins
• Boards
Unlike idea pins, pins allow to attach your affiliate links to your pictures and videos. You can edit the picture you want to pin with Canvas or Geulgram.

2. Include keywords in your Pin titles and descriptions so that they can be found when people search for those terms.
In order to optimize your Pins, you want to:
Add the main keyword in the Pin title and description
Add the main keyword on your Pin image (Pinterest reads text placed on images)
Include other related keywords in your Pin description
Include between 2-5 relevant hashtags at the end of your Pin description

3. Use related keywords in your Board titles and descriptions
On Pinterest, users can search specifically for Boards to follow, so it’s important that you include related keywords in your Board titles and descriptions.

4. Create curiosity with your Pin titles
One of the best ways to make sure that people click through to your affiliate link is to create curiosity with your Pin titles and images.

5. Make your Pins stand out by using colorful and bright images

Business / How To Self-publish On Amazon by Legohouse: 5:48pm On Dec 09, 2021
YOU DON’T HAVE TO BE A WRITER TO SELL ON AMAZON!
Let me rephrase that…
Do you know you can make $1k-$5k monthly selling books on Amazon with little to no experience as a writer?
This is how it works…

Let’s say you CREATE (Not Write) and PUBLISH a book and price it $9.99, and let’s assume 100 people buy that book in a month (That’s $999 for you). Now what if you have more books or even priced your book(s) more than $9.99 (as the example above)?- Then you make more money!

Now, imagine you use a WRITING WITHOUT WRITING FORMULA to create and publish a book per day. Even if you are very busy or lazy, you can create and publish minimum of 15 books in 30 days…and if each of these 15 books give you just $100 each in 30 days, you’ll be making $1500 in 30 days.

Convert that to your local currency…
AGAIN, it’s important to know that YOU DON’T NEED TO BE A WRITER TO DO THIS…

WRITING WITHOUT WRITING FORMULA helps you to get started ASAP without any writing skills and create at least one book in a day…and one interesting thing about this opportunity is that your book can be just 20 pages, 25 pages, 30 pages or more…

…and it can be selling for life as long as you don’t unpublish it!
Nairaland / General / 7 Wrong Philosophies You Thought Were True by Legohouse: 12:00am On Oct 02, 2018
The other day, my siblings and I were just discussing and goofing around. It was one of those rainy Saturday morning, and let’s just say we didn’t have anything better to do (just kidding!)

We started talking about some of the philosophies and wise saying we grew hearing as kids that were so untrue. It was quite hilarious because we made fun of our so many childhood memories.

My mum will always say ‘not every things that appears right is right…and I think we can say that about some of these our philosophies in life. That’s why in this article, I will give you 8 wrong philosophies you always thought were true…

Let’s get started…and you are free to have a good laugh at how naïve you were (like I did!)

WHATEVER WILL BE WILL BE
Whatever will be will not be…

You have to make it be. You have a part to play in what will be in your life, so don’t leave it to chance. Relegating to fate and chance the job of planning your life is the worst thing you can do to you. We are responsible for our decisions, choice and tomorrow. So you can get rid of this philosophy…because it aint true boo!

HALF BREAD IS BETTER THAN NONE
Okay, I know this phrase preaches contentment, humility, bla bla bla… but why settle for half bread when you can get full bread or even own a bakery? You can agree with me that this belief is quite limiting guys.

In fact I heard this phrase for the first time when I was 10 years old. I remember going to our uncle’s house with my cousin when we travelled home for Christmas. It was kind of a Christmas ritual young kids do those days; they go around ‘collecting’ Christmas money from their uncles and aunties. This uncle (a very stingy man) we went to collect from gave us #20 instead of the usual #50 naira others were giving; he sent us home with this very philosophy. It was really funny because he said that to limit our expectation to 20 naira.

You don’t have to settle for half bread. You shouldn’t settle for half bread. Of course you should be content and all that, but that shouldn’t stop you from wanting more and reaching for more. Why settle for very good when excellence is possible?

This is one limiting belief that positions you to settle for less and it is a mediocre philosophy

A FOOL AT FORTY IS A FOOL FOREVER
And here comes another belief you should throw into the trash can…

A fool at any age can be a fool forever if he refuses to let go of his foolishness. There is no age specification for foolishness. The position is open for all applicants!

Again, it is never too late to become wise because the day you wake up and wise up is the day you CHANGE! If you doubt me, look at the stories of people who succeeded after the age 40.

It’s never to start again, and it’s never too late to get your life together. If you fall 100 times, then stand up 101 times!

ALL FINGERS ARE NOT EQUAL
To be honest, I don’t even understand the inspiration behind this philosophy or what the message it carries?

Yes, all fingers are not equal, but it doesn’t make one any less valuable than the other. And besides, who cares about being equal…is anything even equal? What really matters is the value you bring as a person.

LIFE BEGINS AT FORTY
Uhm….if you are below forty and you believe this, I feel so sorry for you because it means you are not yet alive. And if you know the contact address of the philosopher behind this philosophy, be so kind to share in the comment section. I would love to understand how he reasons!

Thanks in advance…

HE WHO LAUGHS LAST LAUGHS BEST
Forgive me; I didn’t know laughing is now a competition. And besides why laugh last when you can laugh always? Laughter is free guys!

Laugh. Be happy…and don’t worry about who laughed first and who is laughing last…

THE PATIENT DOG EATS THE FATTEST BONE
Uhmmmmmmmmmm….my question is ‘in which country and generation is this philosophy applicable’? Because I no say e no go work for Naija!

My brother, the patient dog won’t even see biscuit bone to eat. No siddon one corner dey wait for when e go reach your turn ooo. Opportunities wait for no man. Always be prepared and ready to grab hold of opportunities.

What is your own is not your own ooooo…if you siddon for chair, your own will soon become another person’s own. You must GO for your dreams…

Literature / How To Create The Life You Want by Legohouse: 1:08am On Jul 09, 2018
Do you know you have in you the power to create the life you want?
Napoleon hill once said ‘the most unique element of man is his ability to create any life he wants’
It is in us…that creative power to mould and build for ourselves the kind of life we dream of. We are products of our choices, not fate. Yes, you may have been born poor, you may have been born ‘disadvantaged’, but you can decide to live above those ‘disadvantages’ and create the life you want.
Thomas Edison dropped out of school because according to his teacher, he was ‘mentally ill and unfit for learning.
Oprah Winfrey was born poor and was sexually abused by her uncle at a young age
Helen Kelley was deaf, and dumb by the age of 12
J.K Rowlings was a struggling, divorced and broke mum at the age of 30.
Jack Ma was rejected so many times it is hard to keep count
Bill gate was a school dropout
Anthony Robbins had very little academic experience.

What is my point?
You have no excuse!!
These people succeeded because they understood that they have the power to create the life they want. You can’t leave to fate the job of designing your life…it’s all up to you
That is why for today’s article, I have decided to give you 3 ways you can create the life you’ve always dreamed of

Tip #1: Dream it
‘The size of your world is the size of your imagination’
Be a dreamer! Winners are dreamers…don’t be afraid to have dreams…dream big, it costs absolutely nothing
Every success story started out as a dream
I once listened to James Corey’s speech on the power of dreams and I was blown away. As a struggling 22 year old, he understood what it means to have big dreams. He said he always saw himself performing on a big stage in front of a large audience.
Dream big…
Gone are the times when the world frown at dreamers; every successful business, invention and change was at one point just a dream.
I read the story of how Walt Disney ‘saw’ Disney Park before it was ever built. And although he never lived to see the actual Disney park built, his wife stated that he dreamt of that reality every single day.
If you don’t have the courage enough to dream it, you won’t have the courage to achieve it-plain and simple!
So the very first step into creating the life you want is to dream it; create a clear mental picture of the kind of life you want to live and the kind of person you want to be… that’s VISION. Hold on to that vision and become the reality of your dreams.

#3 say it
My pastor will always say ‘don’t stop saying it, keep saying it until it becomes your reality…’
I have discovered that one of the greatest yet ‘unknown’ secret in creating the life you want is CONFESSION, or according to Napoleon Hill ‘AUTOSUGGESTION’
This principle of autosuggestion has been widely written on by authors like Napoleon Hill, Myles Monroe, and Anthony Robbins, to mention a few. It is simply the act of programming your mind to work and act in a certain way. It is also the fastest way to create the faith you need to become the person you need to be.
How do you do this? How do you program your mind to success?
Just keep saying it…
Keep confessing the reality of the life you’ve imagine…because our confessions of faith creates our realities. I will advise you to get a book, write down the kind of life you would want to live; give a time span to when you want to start living that life. Recite it every day; in the morning when you wake up and in the evening before you go to bed….by doing this simple act, you are programming your mind to success, because the universe always responds to our confessions.
The story of James Corey is a strong indication that the universe will always give us what we say…just hold to your positive confessions
#3 be it
After your dreaming and confessions, the next thing you have to do is to BECOME…. Yes, be the life you want to see. This is the point of action; what this mean is you start taking the necessary actions to realizing your dreams.
Mind you, the universe is already responding to your daily confessions, it is time to step out in faith and start acting out the lifestyle you want to live.
Start talking, walking, speaking, and relating with people ‘in’ the kind of life you want to live.
Let me explain better…
If your dream is to be a CEO of a multimillion company in 5 years time, and presently you are just a salesman…you need to start acting in the manner a CEO will act.
You do this by asking yourself the following questions;
What will a CEO say?
What does it takes to be a CEO?
What are the daily routines of a CEO?
What are the strong characters a CEO possess?
For example, a CEO is a reader, he is self discipline and speaks with authority…what this means is that you must be a reader (if you are not already), develop self discipline and self confidence right now as a salesman.
This stage calls for a change in your thinking and attitude towards success, and slowly but steadily you will find yourself living out your every desire.
The CEO of Techpoint, Adewale Yusuf, demonstrated in his desire to be a very wealthy young man despite his current status as a poor, illiterate security man. He knew the kind of person he wanted to be and he took the necessary steps to becoming that person
You can be anything you want to be, as long as your mind can conceive it, you can achieve it. But you must be able to do the necessary things it will take to be that person. Read books, attend seminars, build up strong enabling characters, hold on to your positive confessions, and the sky will be your stepping stone….
Till next time…

Literature / 17 Beautiful Quotes To Inspire And Encourage You by Legohouse: 12:52am On Jul 02, 2018
Everybody have problems; we don’t wear them as sleeve, so unless we talk about it you may not know. My very good friend would always say ‘if only our look is a reflection of what we have been true.

Life can be hard sometimes; there is no need mincing words about it. Sometimes, our problems weigh us down and we can’t even find the strength to keep moving. And just maybe, one word of encouragement is all we need to lift us out of our depression…

When I am sad and troubled, I find myself looking out for inspiring quotes and the word of God that speaks to me at that time. Words are powerful; they have a way of encouraging people. But when used wrongfully, they can also demoralize and kill a person’s spirit.

For today’s article, I have carefully put together some of my favorite quotes that will not only encourage you, but provide you with a way forward…

Forget what hurt you, but never forget what it taught you
Great power is embodied in persistence. It is always too soon to quit.

The most authentic thing about us is our capacity to create, to overcome, to endure, to transformed and to be greater than our sufferings-Ben Okri
In order to learn the most important lessons in life, one must each day surmount a fear- Ralph Waldo Emearson
Live as if you were to die tomorrow, learn as if you were to live forever-Mahatma Ghandi
The errors of the past in the wisdom of the future- Dale Turner
There are no limitations to the mind except the ones we acknowledge
There are millions of survivors out there; make them a million and one-Tom Hanks
However difficult life is, there is always something you can do and succeed at…. What matters is that you never give up- Steve Hawking

Till next time…
