The major (modern) problem with africa started with the Berlin conference and the map drawing by europeans, ethnic groups were separated and joined with other ethnic groups that share no common language or ideology with them...

From the English to the Germans, every ethnic group in Europe has their representing nation and no group is forced into nationhood with another group, why then should a Yoruba man like me share a nation with an Igbo or a fulani or vice versa.....it honestly cannot and won't work for anyone, sub Saharan Africa will not progress untill every ethnic nation is recognized and given the right to their future.
