Chacha22:
So I tried to find out if one needs a transit visa for a layover at Heathrow. It seems that with a valid US visa you dont need that.

please I need confirmation on this.

Nope, you don't need a visa since you are not checking out.

Goo evening everyone?
Firstly, I thank Almighty God for His goodness.
I just got accepted to McGill (M.Sc) for fall 2018. I am expected to make a $300 CAD non-refundable deposit.
I need advice, help and information on the following;
Do I pay only the deposit here and pay the remaining part wen I get there? If yes, how will this impact my application forbTRV?
Please how do I apply for TRV and CAQ?
What are the funding opportunities for Nigeruan students in McGill?
What documents do I need for TRV application and when do I submit my application?
PS: Annual tuition is $10,059.14 CAD.
Someone please give me the conversion of that in NGN.
Thanks.

Congrats boss man. Pls, did you write IELTS to apply for this schl or not ? Coz my wife wants to apply to this schl too but she's still preparing to write IELTS.

Travel / Re: Before Applying Or Coming To The Uk For Studies: Beware Of This by lexyril: 8:37am On Sep 11, 2017
Yes ppl migrate to other countries with lesser policy on immigrant now becos things are getting tougher nd benefits are been reduced and mostly becos of the Brexit. The cost of living is getting higher nd the population of ppl is far more than the jobs available. Give these countries u just mentioned some years frm now nd see wht will happen to their immigration policy becos uk was once like them before now but the more ppl come in, the tighter immigration policies become.

Pple should stop deceiving themselves, if Finland is way better than Uk, why are loads of Finland ppl with degrees full UK? If I will say, UK is the most generous country in the past when it comes to becoming a citizen but pple misused the opportunities by not going to school, doin fraud and stuffs. The highest number of ppl into fraud and other dirty stuffs in uk is Black and these ppl need to protect their country against all these and the only way they could do this is to tighten their borders. I came into UK as a student in 2009 and today I am a citizen and I know lots of students tht become citizens thru the study route too. I will forever be grateful to the warm opportunity maami iya Charlie gave us.

I can 100% agree with you. Applications are treated differently based of the country of origin. For example: a British citizen applying for a Canadian student visa will be treated fairly to a Nigerian student applying for the same visa.

I am Nigerian and was born and raised here. My experience is in immigration and citizen law of different countries, having practiced in the United States ten years before returning home. Disregard my advice if you feel its bias, but they are the unadulterated truth to the best of my knowledge.[/quote]

How much were you expected to be paid or how much sef do u think these ppl are making on the production? Even ur role is not even an important one. Don't believe Falz left because of money, Falz is a musician nd he has his own career to build. But, money shouldn't be Toyo baby priority at this time but to build her career to a certain stage should be her priority.
Romance / Re: Dating A Girl Who Wears Beads Around Her Waist by lexyril: 4:19pm On Mar 01, 2017
Hello man! There is nothing wrong in wearing waist chain or beads. I am a newly married guy and my wife is a dedicated christian but I so much love waist beads whenever I sees it on a lady. So I had to beg my wife to start wearing it and she refused at first but later compromised on wearing it. It's just for fashion sake and nothing more attached to it but I don't know about other ladies.

Firstly I will say you should go and get a visa to come abroad and maybe you will be able to answer the question urself. Our Nigerian ladies here are even worst than the oyinbos especially those they marry from 9ja and bring them here. Marriage is only by the grace of God.

Life in abroad is awesome but all depend on meeting the right ppl to get the right information and having the right residence to enable you work and have some right to govt funds. You can not expect a better taste of any country with a visiting visa. Visiting visa means you are just goin to a country to visit a friend or family member for holiday nd to see how the country looks like without recourse to govt funds or lookung for job.Looking for work with a visiting visa is just like looking for a better well paid job without having the right certificates, you know thts not possible. Even with student visa, if you don't have your money to spend, life could be miserable but when you have the right status, life abroad { UK,USA and Canada} is very sweet.

Family / Re: Help! I Am Going Back To Nigeria To Find A Wife! by lexyril: 4:49pm On Oct 04, 2016
Hmmm big man! I can authoritatively tell you that 9ja girls are even worse like one of my brother comments above. I aswell lives in London and I do go home very often, atleast twice in a year. Although, my fiancee is in Nigeria but it only takes the grace of God to get a good girl in Nigeria. Like what one of the guys above said " they will always want you for what you are but not for whom you are". There are lots of good ladies here to the extent that you will even doubt it that they were born and brought u here. Just pray to God to connect you to the right lady here or back home.

I would advise you to just give her the money, not becos of anything but becos she was once ur gfriend. No one knows tomorrow, you might need her in future or she needs you. Don't becos on coins affect your tomorrow. Give her the money not by cash but bank transfer as evidence and tell her to give you a written document signed by her and a withness tht she will not disturb you about the money again. For the fact tht you are no more in a relationship doesn't stops you rom being friends.
Education / Re: I Applied For MSc But Foreign Supervisor Said School Is Accepting Me For PhD by lexyril: 10:22pm On May 04, 2016
Who says Ph.D is free anywhere? Even to the citizens, it's not free when not scholarship and Canadian citizenship is not everything. Oga Team16; I would advice you to look at it in many ways, you have a bright future nd please don't restrict urself with today's offer for Ph.D to tomorrow future. Look at it in a way that you are fighting a highly competitive post and there are lot of guru's like urself, don't you think the easiest way to choose the best of the guru's is thru their certs, guru's that have masters have upper hands to you that jumped it. Please follow your heart. Your supervisor is not God regardless of the certs he/she bagged.
