Lie! He did not immediately apologise! He was shamed into it by incessant public outrage and private scolding by his humiliated children and members of his own party. He can go and die. Fake bastard.

I am sure PDP got something off their sleeves, no chance they will lie down and allow their opponent take back the moral high ground on this one. They fly her to Abuja to stay at Aso Rock for a week at least with her fellow widow (madam Patience), after which a car and a house near the villa for her to crown it.
A good time to become a widow in Nigeria, this panning out to be.

blink182: PDP and Dan Orbih should match that with their paltry N250k. grin

No, they shouldn't. They have no guilt in the matter. The guilty party is trying to assuage his guilt by the large sum. The other contributors did what was appropriate.

Gbabe 2: See poor man mentality.
He was just sorry to save his face and administration from ridicule and different outburst everywhere.
Whether you guys like it or not, that is the "TRUE PICTURE OF WHO HE IS IN REAL LIFE".In that video he was referring to a man as stxpxd man.
Leaders are expected to guard their utterances everywhere.I have been a victim of such bad temper before. My MD (an Insurance coy) asked me who my father was?who brought you here?what is your qualification?where were you when we were running around to get things done?i will sack you etc all because i was doing my job (compliance and monitoring responsibilities).
Our Leaders see themselves as demi god which is very bad.

Thank you for this. Very level headed post. Leave these people to be blinded by the manipulations of a Machiavellian man.

Culture / Re: Lists Of Yoruba Names And Their English Meaning. by lineal: 6:58pm On Nov 11, 2013
macof:

Those names are given to reincarnated children. Usually reincarnation of one their grandparents. If you have course to believe ur kid is the reincarnation of one of ur parents these names are perfect

I forgot about the reincarnation part. I was thinking more of the honouring the deceased part.

I guess you can still give the child the same name as the deceased, but leave out the Babatunde.

Thanks.
Culture / Re: Lists Of Yoruba Names And Their English Meaning. by lineal: 6:44pm On Nov 11, 2013
Does anyone know when is it appropriate to name a child Babatunde or Iyabo and all its variants?

I'm not asking for the meaning. I just want to get feedback on the timeliness of it.

For example, how much time needs to elapse between the passing away and new birth?
If a child is born close to the anniversary of the passing away, does that also qualify?

Thanks.

Saint Chukz: Did you know? - These two OBA's are in-laws. Yes, they are related by marriage because an Edo princess i.e a daughter to The OBA of Benin is married to one of the Son's of The OBA of Lagos. I doubt many of you knew that.

That's interesting. Usually it's the other way around - Bini guys like to marry Yoruba girls. It's all good. La Familia. smiley
