SXSW organisers say they have removed the volunteer involved for the rest of the event. "We are embarrassed by this and have apologised to Ibtihaj in person, and sincerely regret this incident," SXSW said in the statement. Ibtihaj Muhammad says the incident happened on Saturday. |

This happened as a result of rotation of the earth. The rotation is unnoticeable to human being due to the hardness of the rock beneath the earth surface. However, when there is a slight displacement, the effect could be noticed on the stream which could result in change in flowing of water to another side and possible holes leads to water dry up. The effect could be seen in the future on the building surrounding it with cracks and possible collapsing. However, the water could come back with full force,if there is another displacement. Either way, i smell future danger. 2 Likes |

Interesting! See confusions. When God said I'm the Lord and besides me, there is no other. And Jesus prayed... Eli, Eli... Who is that Eli he is praying if not someone superior to him? Or, is he praying to himself? This is a conversation between two different entity. Or can we say one entity acting as two? 1 Like |

Politics / Re: Marriageable Age Of Places Around The World by littleb(m): 3:14pm On Jul 21, 2013 |
Let's look at this matter constructively, the problem we have in this country is not about the age those girls get married but what are we imparted into thier life before and after getting married. Considering marriageable age in some country listed in which some are allowed from 13, even in USA. As yoruba would say "Ile laawo ka to somo loruko", this is a country where the government is not improving our education system, this is a country where the government is not alleviating the poverty level of people. Corruption is soaked in all sectors in the country. At least, if the education is made free and education sector is well funded and manage well, all these young girls will be well trained from primary to their secondary school age, as it's been done in some developed countries we see as role model, which could be a gain those kids could developed on, but alas, our senators would not fight upon that. All what they do is to satisfy themselves base on religion and cultural flimsy excuses. I wish they pass a bill for death penalty on corrupt embezzler worth of certain amount because such person has killed the dreams of many! 2 Likes |

I think God that didn't allow Abraham to kill his own son as sacrifice should not allow His own "son" to be sacrificed and killed over some people's sin. “And (for) their saying: ‘Indeed we have killed The Messiah, Jesus the son of Mary, the Messenger of Allah’. And they did not kill him, nor did they crucify him but (another) that was made to resemble him to them. And indeed those who differ over it are in doubt about it. They have no knowledge of it except the following of assumption. And they did not kill him for certain.” (Quran 4:157) 1 Like |

Amosun did well for at least spent on creating a flyover bridge in Abeokuta compare to the previous govt. However, most Ogun state townships are far behind under-develop, especially those ones close to Lagos like Sango Ota, Ibafo, Mowe, IJebu, Agbara, Shagamu and so on, hardly will one see a single good road on all those towns except the federal road that pass in between, same with electricity and likes. If investors would be more fascinated to Ogun state, governor should work more in developing all nearby Lagos towns, creating enabling env and mandate the company to remit workers' tax, thereby the tax they re expecting will come to Ogun state govt, Instead of people living in Ogun state while working in Lagos. In all, kudos to Amosun. |

Islam for Muslims / What Is Your View?: Quran Verses Appear On Russian Baby’s Skin by littleb(m): 5:02pm On Nov 07, 2009 |
A BABY boy has left doctors baffled after passages from the Koran were found on his skin. The parents of nine-month-old Ali Yakubov were stunned when the word Allah appeared on his chin soon after his birth. Since then scores of writings in Arabic script have emerged on his back, arms, legs and stomach. Amazingly his family claim the old markings vanish before the new words arrive — twice a week. Medics say they cannot explain his mysterious condition — but deny that the marks are from someone writing on the child's skin. His mother, Madina, said that she and her husband were not religious until the words started appearing on his skin. Initially they did not show anyone the unexplained scribbles, but eventually revealed them to their doctor. Now the boy has become a focus of Muslim homage in his troubled home province of Dagestan, close to war-ravaged Chechnya in the south of Russia. Local MP Akhmedpasha Amiralaev said: "This boy is a pure sign of God. Allah sent him to Dagestan in order to stop revolts and tension in our republic." The tot's mother said: "Normally those signs appear twice a week - on Mondays and on the nights between Thursdays and Fridays. "Ali always feels bad when it is happening. He cries and his temperature goes up. "It's impossible to hold him when it's happening, his body is actively moving, so we put him into his cradle. It's so hard to watch him suffering." http://maanulive..com/2009/10/quran-verses-appears-on-boys-skin.html https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w2sIawwVLEM&feature=related https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EHd08d5g2zQ |

focused123: focused123: @focused123 My thought towards responding to your points lies in between two extreme feelings, sometimes laughing and sometimes weeping just like prophet Noah relation with his people. On one side I feel that you yourself know the truth but you pretended as if it doesn't exist. Analogically, like someone who pretended to sleep while someone is trying to wake him up, its like fetching water with basket. Secondly, even if you claim what you belief is right, your lifestyles clearly show you are not, your attitude shows you re not following Jesus, like those who lies and deny the truth, while they try to provoke others, there punishment will be doubled on the day of judgment. Who is more confused and mentally retarded, if I say Jesus was and is still human and someone said he was killed and still remain his god. While God Himself cant be killed. I think we need a doctor! |

focused123: At least, good one from you! This is just a testification that path to monotheism is really a divine one, differ from what Christianity propagate. It is the same monotheism message Adam,Noah,Abraham,Moses and Jesus preach to their people. People after Jesus modified the uniqueness of God, turn His unique identity into three in one, turn the heavenly father to their beget father by professing and actions. For us to gain salvation, I think we need to seek redresses in searching the truth. focused123: Most of the prophets were not accepted by their people. It is either they fought them, ran away or pray for their destruction. Noah pray for destruction of his people, Yunus ran away from people he was sent to, Even Jesus ordered those that deny him to be slain. please man, let our logical reasoning concise, enough of parochial thinking! |

OLAADEGBU: It's all fakery means of deceiving people, it is long time ago your bible is not sufficient to convince people of your way now resulted to different sort of trickery. Jesus taught forgiveness and salvation by only believing in one GOD and not associating partner to HIM. It is HIM alone you should worship and bow for, not trio gods and not by believing in blood. I think we've drag this your thought long a while, we don't need this kind of testimony, bring evidence, quotations from bible and not testimony of brainwashed people. Haba! |

Islam for Muslims / Re: Islamic practice of death Sentence for Apostates? by littleb(m): 1:46am On Oct 19, 2009 |
Aloy~Emeka: Manifestation of God is a relative word. Can someone say God created himself in his own image, thereby imagine the kind of eye God has for possibility to see every activity at round 360 degree? Or can we say God appear in form of human being, which clearly evidensed that God is in human form? Or, there is no trust again in human being as a prophet and as a messanger, so God himslelf decided to appear in human form for people to comprehend his message? These are some of the the thinking that troubled whoever studied bible. However, Islam came with the best description God that clear all the chiristians freind ambiguity. Allah uses just a single verse and single surah to clear all these ambiguity, thus: "Allah! There is no god but He - the Living, The Self-subsisting, Eternal. No slumber can seize Him Nor Sleep. His are all things In the heavens and on earth. Who is there can intercede In His presence except As he permitteth? He knoweth What (appeareth to His creatures As) Before or After or Behind them. Nor shall they compass Aught of his knowledge Except as He willeth. His throne doth extend Over the heavens And on earth, and He feeleth No fatigue in guarding And preserving them, For He is the Most High. The Supreme (in glory)." [Surah al-Baqarah 2: 255] 1 "Say (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)): "He is Allah, (the) One. 2 "Allah-us-Samad (The Self-Sufficient Master, Whom all creatures need, He neither eats nor drinks). 3 "He begets not, nor was He begotten; 4 "And there is none co-equal or comparable unto Him." Surah Ikhlas The question now is over to you, is it right in our own capacity to imagine a particular manifestation God? Which one? |
Islam for Muslims / Re: I Convert To Islam After Watching This Video by littleb(m): 1:15am On Oct 19, 2009 |
dexmond: For prophet Muhammad was not sent as a warrior and thereby started by fighting the unbelievers. The reason for the command not to come earlier is best known to Almighty Allah alone and like all other prophet before him, the aim was to preach oneness of God to them and to stop them from all their idolatory and not purposely to killed them. Command came to fight after much tribulations, many were severely tortured while some lost thier life. This is a story which many people always like to read about Islam. Let me quickly address a point here: I would first accepted that jesus did not fight. Definitely which I oblige the Jesus followers to do the same in the face of agression. However, the Christians would fought the crusades could not stand the moral exemplar of Jesus which shows that their actions could be regarded as nothing other than killing unjustly. On the second notion, if Jesus in his own ordered his followers to buy swords, I believe everyone knows that sword is not a kitchen tool and never think it would be used to eat. In another area, If jesus is found to say his enemy must be put to death, more so, if Jesus is found to have said I have not sent for peace but to set siblings against each other. Then more questions need to ask the christian' friends who hold that Jesus did not order his followers to fight. Furthermore, we need to be certain of one classical truth, which is actually the reality and authoritatively divine as practice by all prophet of God. Truly peaceful co-existence between believers and non believers is Good or let says different faiths. Now, does a faith complete without addressing how to deal with opperessors? Does a faith complete without a guidance on how to deal with your enemy who raise sword against you. It is unfortunate at times when many Christians put salt on their bible and claim Christianity preaches peace only while badmouthing other faith. While, they couldn't address what is lacking in their belief and what they understand not. Will Jesus would not have succeeded if He was ordered by God to fight and was made victorious over his enemies? However has God wishes, he was raised up, which he clearly stated another messenger will be sent to them according to Muslims belief. In historical relation, most prophets of God are either killed by their people, yahaya for example or there people got perished like that of Noah and lut, or they were ordered to fight by God and thereby became victorious. Example is seen in the like of Moses and Prophet Solomon. Allah in his own word had never wrong them as they had executed His commands. I would not dignify your comment on bint Marwan, until you present your historical reference. I believe people would like to read from you. |
Islam for Muslims / Re: Is Mohammad Really The Last Prophet From The Biblical God? by littleb(m): 11:49pm On Oct 18, 2009 |
@dexmond, Can we just concentrate on what you understand from the words and not the time it was written. Before Allah created the creations, He wrote a Book (wherein He has written): My Mercy has preceded my Anger." right or wrong? and proof? |
Islam for Muslims / Re: Islamic practice of death Sentence for Apostates? by littleb(m): 11:42pm On Oct 18, 2009 |
May almigthy Allah guides us right. I don't think I need to reharse what I have said earlier. The rullings regarding apostate is very broad and controversial one. It is beyond literal translation of hadith. One should be very careful in saying what it is what is not, by turnng internet ups and downs. The word 'kill him' in the hadeeth should be handle carefully. And in order to understand the Islamic legal cause, one should consult the authorities and the origins of Islamic laws. The jurist on the issue of apostate generally place it in imperative mood, which is a command or order. The imperative in islam under sharia cannot be said to have a single meaning unless there is a factual evidence to support it. With this, first the Quran does not prescribe any punishment for apostate, though describe it as a great sin. And the prophet who said apostacy must be killed never he himself had an apostate put to death. There were cases in which people apostasized and never by any means ordered any of them to be killed. There was a case of apostate where jews would pretend to have accepted Islam in the part of the day and later show they did not believe. At that time, prophet was the ruler in medina. In consequent, one cannot imagine how such people would have done under this govt which punish apostates by death, wheras they were not in fact, punished in any way. In the the interpretation of the law of apostate, there are other punishment for apostates according to sharia. During the caliphate of umar, a man came to him from a section of the army, and the caliph asked him what had been done to those people who were known to have apostatized. the man replied, they had been killed, Umar then said, if he could have taken them in peace it would have been the best thing for him and I would have imprisoned them. Ibn thaimiya, in his view support that apostate could be punished but not death penalty(subscribe to tazir). There were some followers such as Ibrahim al-Nakh, sufyan alta-wri would hold to the oppinions that apostates should be invited back to islam and should never be sentenced to death. In contrary, there were evidence in the life of sahabah where apostate were killed. An example is seen in the likes of moath who order a captive from yemen to be killed. Morover, the jurists who hold that the apostate should be sentenced to death never agreed upon this punishment in totality, they sometimes refer to tazir, which is lesser punishment. All these few examples shows different examples and circumstances. However, it cannot be generalise every individual apostate should be killed. If someone think or has a glaring evidence of the law of apostates in line with its application in islam, both in history and in our contemporary, its is better we present it, rather than generalising it, and their is sin for not contemplating truth and misguiding others for it on issue we dont have full authority on it.
