Hello Katyamizotta,

I'm supposed to come into Ottawa in a shortwhile and won't mind being added to the group too.

Hello please are you going to Ottawa as a PR or a student?

Thank you.

You,ve been approved already. But just relax. Allow a space one one week. Remember, you also need to travel with some CAD in cash. You need to request for this from your bank. I haven't done this before sha. BTA is for business trips.
There is a provision for students. I also don't know how long it takes for the bank to approve such amount of CAD, e.g $4,000CAD. So, this should also be considered before booking flight.

Login to your CIC account. Check your dashboard. The final comment says Approved. Kindly verify. I think it is for all Passport request holders sha.
NOTE: In my case, this Approval reflected in FINAL DECISION box, even before I received the confirmation Approval from CIC, on Tuesday

I don't think you can get CAD from Nigeria. I think it's USD that can be gotten from banks.
One can request for PTA(personal travel allowance) and you're entitled to a maximum of 4,000 USD.

Which date did you submit your passport and which VFS?
Did you receive any mail for the change/update?

My passport arrived VFS Lagos on 27th October.
Yes I received an email for the update by IRCC (but I only saw my counterfoil details)

Hello

Please did you receive it after receiving the counterfoil?

Track your return parcel to check if they have received it. I also paid for two way courier and I have been tracking it . It showed that they've collected my passport and it's on transit to me. They do honour two way courier dont pay any extra in-house fee if you did a two way courier. If peradventure your passport is ready and it hasn't been picked up. Do well to contact the courier service you used.

Please have you received letter of introduction?

Hi all,

I have a couple of questions.

Do we have any updates from the first and second batches of PPR recipients awaiting passport return from VFS/VACs in Nigeria (Lagos or Abuja)?

Any tips/links on what next after SP/LOI issued? Do's and Don't when planning trip? Life in Canada tips!

Thanks.

Anyone please?

Business day is when Vfs received it to when I was informed it had been finalized by the VAC
Introduction letter arrived once it was finalized at the VAC.
Vfs Warsaw
Thank you for your response.
I thought you used a VFS in Nigeria.
Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by LordAA(m): 7:56pm On Nov 05, 2020
TimAke:
Yeah, got that already. It took 3 business days. Delay was mainly because it was international courier. Used a cheaper option to send it and it took about a week to arrive.

Wow. Congratulations
Is the business day between the day you sent to VFS and the day it arrived?
Secondly, did you receive the introduction letter before your passport arrived?
Lastly, please what vfs office did you use?

Thank you.

Hello Milkytins

The VO was not convinced that you are a genuine student because of career progression. It may be helpful if you get a letter from your HOD or any top Professor in your field or maybe from your university itself. This letter should explain why the Masters in Data Science is necessary for you at this point and the contributions it would make to your career as an academic. The letter should be attached to your reapplication should you want to reapply.

It may also be better if you show why data science is necessary for your research. Indicate your research history and explain what has been missing that only data science can help you accomplish. Establish why you have to do a second masters at that cost and what financial or career benefits may come from it.

If you read the note well youll see that the VO noted that there was an endorsement from his university.

I think the best option for him is to try express entry unless the university is sponsoring the MSc.

Pls kindly help me to analyse this case note.
I applied for M.Sc Data Science at TRU but already have B.Sc., M.Sc., and PhD in Computer (OAU). Also note that the officer didn't mention family ties as part of refusal cos I added my family to my application with enough POF.

Try express entry, smash IELTS, and write TEF.

All the best

@ Lao4389,

I agree to everything you said apart from payment for return shipment to DHL. That amounts to double payment and it is not necessary. the GHC 331 you paid covered the cost of VFS returning your documents to you. I only paid that and DHL delivered my documents directly to me. So please nobody should pay any other amount to DHL apart from the cost of courier from Lagos to Accra plus the insurance bit (very important)

Hello
Please did you put a return envelope while sending the Accra?

You’re welcome

I’ve seen your email. I’ll reply soon with the consent form.

I was told it’s an international transaction so I can’t just transfer from my mobile app. I need to go to the bank to initiate the transaction. Yes you can use ecobank Nigeria.

I’m going to Abuja vfs tomorrow to check if they’re open and accepting passports. If they’re not, I’ll initiate the Accra move

Cheers

Update: I just sent you the consent form

Please keep us updated.
Thank you.

I just checked NAIT site now, the tuition fee is very expensive compare to other schools, i have done zoom meeting with some schools already but unfortunately non is on the list of COVID 19 list of schools that can bring in international students.

Have gotten your visa to travel now?
According to IRCC the COVID-19 readiness plan list will be updated every 2 weeks by the time you would have gotten admission and visa, most schools might have met the criteria.

I advise you to apply for the school of your choice and stop using the list.

The list is not cast in stone. Also according to IRCC schools can also be removed from the list if they fail to maintain the standard of the requirements.

Who knows what this payment is for? Is it normal to pay when sending your passport after receiving PPR?

I’m asking because I want to send my passport to Abuja so I’m wondering if I need to pay too.
