Concerning the mamaput. Are you the one that will be cooking and serving customers? Or you talking about opening a large restaurant and employing staffs?
Ilekokonit:

N4m will more than open a profitable Mama put in Nigeria.

If you relocate, the 4m Naira will be gone and you then have to contend with competing for almost non existent vacancies with the indigenes of where you relocate to.

Some indigenes in these foreign countries have been unemployed for close to 2 years and their saving grace is that their governments will pay their rent and feeding allowance until they get a job that pays enough. You as a non national will not have this luxury once you spend your 4m Naira on travel, visa and initial accomodation for your first few weeks after which reality will hit you.

A lot of the people in the countries you are looking to relocate too do not have 1m Naira in savings and many of them are currently unemployed.

If I were you, I will stay put in Nigeria and open a Mama put with 1m Naira and put 3m in fixed deposit or better still buy some cheap land and fence it. With the Mama put, at least food will not longer be a problem and if you keep a close eye on it by being there every day, you WILL make a profit you can eventually live on.

The race riots in England of all places where the Oyinbos were attacking immigrants including black people physically in the streets should tell us that the grass is not necessarily greener on the other side and with 3 global wars (Israel, Russia and the Houtis) having damaged international trade in ways world leaders dare not admit lest they precipitate a global recession, what you find now at least in the UK jobs market is that employers are cutting recruitment and the uncertainties mean employees are staying out in their jobs for security meaning that jobs mobility and vacancies take a further reduction in a country that most probably is still in a recession that Rishi Sunak reluctantly admitted to at the last minute.

Even the UK is not smiling for the indigenes work wise talk less of an immigrant with no UK work experience.

Be like you nor even know the disadvantages wey dey dispatch business.
When riders start to give you excuses on why dem cannot deliver a package you sent dem to do, na dat time your mind go dey!
Sweeetheart:
Imagine using 4m to travel and decline entry at the point of entry

4m will get 3 dispatch bikes with registration, believe me before 4-5months you will not only get your capital back, your ROI will encourage you to add one or more bikes to expand your mini logistic business

It pained me how many youths can't make use of their income well in this country, no matter how hard the country is, dispatch business can never run down rather na service fee go increase at the challenges of fuel hike

Using your last card to travel abroad is a big risk, If you enter without any issues good luck

Use google and chatgpt
You can do everything your self and when you get to any of these countries you can plan to move to more better countries like

Denmark is for tech people.
The OP tell you say him na tech guy?
Miramonica:
You have more than enough funds. Get Greece visa, from Greece, enter France, then Denmark.

Try and settle in Denmark, it's a nice country.

My childhood friend went through that route, and Nigga is living a better life in Copenhagen...I'm still gathering funds to Japa.

Nigeria dey make me vex every single day.

Your rich politicians have super military/para-military protecting dem.
Am referring to you as an ordinary citizen dat is rich. Can you provide that kind of security?
Yes, our politicians get secured. But do you know whether deep in their minds, they are secured?

There is death rate everywhere. Whether high or low. But the difference is how each country is dealing with any each violence that took place.
maasoap:

Lol. Your submission is logical but why haven't we seen our rich people and politicians relocating abroad? grin grin grin They only travel abroad to relax and come back, just the same way white people travel abroad for tourism and the likes.

How does this philosophical statement affect Dangote, Otedola or Ned Nwoko or Bart Nnanji? You made it looks like there are no poor or homeless people abroad. Yearly violent deaths figure is even higher in USA than Nigeria

Not true.
High roof gradient leads to low leakages.
Even if the roof is broken, you may observe low or no leakages as long as the roof gradient is high enough.

I don't really know about the hatred part.
Ghana is expensive but environment friendly (light, business, less corrupt, good roads, good amount of security, water). Asin their policies is better than Nigeria. So i heard from some people.

Thanks for this.
But i dont understand the bolded!
GloriousGbola:

Those high pitch roofs leave a large pyramidal void above the house main structure. In the abroad this space is used as storage and is called an attic. However this space cannot be used in Nigeria because our climate means that ceiling voids become very very hot. So that space will become a heat trap and cannot be used for anything

Do not allow anyone to deceive you with bs about low pitch Roofs being hard to drain. Water will flow at the same rate down each roof. They are simply repeating the story they tell people to make them waste money on their pitch roof. The point of failure for drainage is the gutter, not the roof itself.

The roof that are prone to leakage are concrete slabs. You need to put felting on these and the felting must be replaced every three years or so.

A pitched roof is a white elephant. Expensive to deploy and meaningless show.

You will observe that commercial structures rarely have these so called low maintenance pitch roofs but the 'slope' roofs.

Ask your self how water is going to stay on a roof that is sloped when water always flows downward.
Properties / Re: Sloppy Or Flat/Hidden Roof: Which Is Better? (Pictures) by Love800(m): 2:22pm On Sep 04
Okay.
I appreciate so much.
SSpeter:
leaks in flat roofs usually occur at sides where the roof meets the wall. Also flat roof have the propensity to have have algae and weed growing on the roof. Furthermore, your roof is likely to corrode quickly because it takes a longer period for rain water to drain.

In the UK, a caregiver, also known as a carer, is an individual who provides support and assistance to someone who needs help with daily living tasks due to:

1. Age-related needs
2. Disability
3. Illness
4. Injury

Caregivers in the UK typically:

1. Assist with personal care (e.g., bathing, dressing, grooming)
2. Provide emotional support and companionship
3. Help with medication management
4. Assist with mobility and transfers
5. Support with meal preparation and feeding
6. Help with household tasks (e.g., cleaning, laundry)
7. Assist with social activities and outings
8. Monitor health and well-being
9. Provide respite care (temporary relief) for family caregivers

Caregivers work in various settings, including:

1. Private homes
2. Residential care homes
3. Nursing homes
4. Hospices
5. Day care centers

In the UK, caregivers can be:

1. Family members or friends (unpaid carers)
2. Paid care workers employed by:
- Local authorities
- Private care agencies
- Charities
- Individuals (private employers)

Caregivers play a vital role in supporting vulnerable individuals in the UK, enabling them to live independently and with dignity.

Okay.
But i will not agree fully on that heat stuff.
Lifemanage:

High roof is for heat generation when there is snow abroad and people need a space of heat. The space within the high roof wood works is useless in Nigeria. If U say high roof is to help cooling within the house, it is 120% wrong because what cools the house is cross ventilation within the walls of the room..air coming In and passing out. What happens in the roof stays in the roof. I really wonder where this idea came from...

So its the app that one uses and not any decoder?
nooker:

You download the app and register. Then you go to their website (not the app) to choose the plan you want and make payment there. Sometimes, you may encounter problems paying with your card; if that happens, request for an alternative on any of their social media platforms (preferably IG). Once your payment has been confirmed, go back to the app and start watching.

PS: if you are requesting for alternative mode of payment, please check them on Instagram. AVOID Facebook. That place is crawling with scammers

Education / Re: Holders Of Masters Degree Pls Advise Me!!! by Love800(m): 12:42pm On Sep 04
Masters is a degree or certificate?
Gerrard59:

Except it's to augment a lower grade, obtain fast promotion or for personal prestige purposes, only embark on a master's degree when you have amassed at least three years of experience after your first degree. A master's degree without work experience (post NYSC) is no different from a bachelor degree without an experience. In fact, the latter will get more calls from recruiters and companies because they are likely to be command lower salaries and are fresh out of tertiary institutions. At the same time, those with work experiences command higher salaries than those with just academic degrees and/or less years of work experience. Also, depending on your field, relevant certifications are better off than an academic degree.

Nevertheless, nothing beats work experience!

Can you give a clear summary of what the guy is trying to say. Just a brief summary.

I don't quite understand his message.
Segzy19:
Not defending the Tinubu government but I can boldly tell you that this piece of news here is just sensational and not the whole news...

I watched this guy explained everything on channels TV, Politics Today live yesterday.

They also plan to give a lot of tax exemptions to various sets of people and sectors too... No tax of raw foods, health, education ... They also plan to exempt certain people who are low earners (certain salary grades and levels ) from tax but 10% vat will surely apply to whatever you buy from a 5-star hotel.... Going to a 5-star hotel shows that you are wealthy and can afford, then you should be able to pay tax... Local government too will partake of the tax revenue.

I listened to him and he made a lot of sense.

But this poster of this news has just decided to pick a portion of the news that suits his/her emotions and puts it up here....

Politics / Re: We’re Proposing Law To Increase VAT To 10% –presidential Tax C’mtee by Love800(m): 2:49pm On Sep 03
Can you give example of informal tax?
Teenaira:

I think you are right in your thinking. We must start looking at adding value to natural resources and raw materials to derive real values. However, his proposal looks good too. VAT is purely a consumption tax so, the more you consume, the more you pay. Who are the big consumers ? Obviously the rich and unfortunately a lot of them may not be paying personal income tax or they may have a means of playing around with Personal Income tax. So if the recommendation is implemented, we might end up taxing the rich more which is quite good and then reduce the tax burden on the middle class and low income earners. Even corporate tax is recommended to go down. The real challenge is informal taxes on the poor and corporate bodies. How is government going to get these guys to stop their nefarious activity which has been a part of us for ages ?
Career / Re: When We Say A Toilet Cleaner Abroad Is Better Than Bank Manager In Nigeria by Love800(m): 2:24pm On Sep 03
As a rich man living in the midst of poor, broke, depress people, do you think you the rich is safe! You cant be sane in the midst of insanes. What are my trying to say. if with your wealth and you are living with poverty neighbors, my dear, you are poor also.
maasoap:

A bank manger in Nigeria doesn't pass through what a caregiver abroad passes through everyday.
One is a boss and the other one is a subordinate at the lowest level of hierarchy, that's first.
A caregiver endures all sorts of treatments from the employer and mostly from the patient as we have seen so many times. They put up with a lots of rubbish.
And lastly, as long as you are living comfortably within your income and other benefits as a bank manager, it shouldn't bother you at all if a caregiver abroad is earning far more than you. Dangote is the richest man in Nigeria, yet he still doesn't stop chasing after money which means no matter how much you're making daily, it will never be enough
Career / Re: When We Say A Toilet Cleaner Abroad Is Better Than Bank Manager In Nigeria by Love800(m): 2:19pm On Sep 03
Its not about Washing toilets. Its about the serene life there. Good roads, light, housing, education, health, innovation, government grants/supports, security. I know these things may not be perfect there. But if you compare it with Nigeria own, you will know that abroad is far above us!
Justdare:

Dignity means nothing to them as long as their oyibo masters feed them their daily rations of GMO. How can a reasonable person justify travelling thousands of miles to wash toilet?

He is not talking about the cost. He is talking about the availability of these things he listed there. If you work hard abroad as a cleaner, waiter, hotel staff, trader, nurse, banker, engineer, you will get all those things. But in Nigeria, those things he listed, are for the super rich. Middle classs will not even experience those stuffs.
JoshTim:

Most of the things you listed are fallacy. Do you know how much health care cost in those countries?....has 24/7 light, can you bear the cost?...arm robbery you say, have you been to the US where you can be shot in broad day light or when last did you hear that the Nigerian president escaped assassination attempt?, fruits and food?....for real cholesterol is now good food?...all these your claims are overblown.

Whats the difference between caregiver and toilet cleaner?
greenermodels:
A toilet cleaner abroad can easily build a house back home in Nigeria more than a bank manager, he can improve his life there easily there too. My classmate who spent ten years jobless after service moved to the UK to work as a caregiver which is even worse than a toilet cleaner while studying, today, he has a masters and PhD in artificial intelligence and is a big boy. Nigeria is a dream killer.

Leaks in flat house? I thought its only sloppy roofs that experience leaks?

hip roof is better than flat roof and more comfortable. The only advantage flat roof has is the cheap installation. You cannot comfortably have a discussion in a flat roof when there is a huge down pour. The house will be always hot, if not properly installed, you will experience leaks.
