@ GoldenDr, teachers and the moderator, I am very sorry for derailing this thread. But since this a thread for job seekers, it will not be out place if we discuss some of the reasons why jobs are scarce and how we can create opportunities for ourselves.

Agriculture is a goldmine, but unfortunately .............

. Shelter or housing is an important human need........ . . .The real-estate sector is huge,....... if governments and investors plan to build just 1 million housing units within 2 years..........

It's out of place. Though the discourse is informative.

okerekeukachi:
I just saw this and thought I should share.

Seven Principles of an eagle to live by in 2016:

(1) Eagles fly alone and at high altitudes. They don't fly with sparrows or other small birds.

Stay away from sparrows and ravens, those that bring you down. Eagles fly with Eagles. Keep good company.

(2) Eagles have an accurate vision. They have the ability to focus on something as far as 5km. No matter the obstacles, the eagle will not move his focus from the prey until he grabs it.

Have a vision and remain focused no matter what the obstacle and you will succeed.

(3) Eagles do not eat dead things. They feed only on fresh prey.

Do not rely on your past success, keep looking for new frontiers to conquer. Leave your past where it belongs, in the past.

(4) Eagles love the storm. When clouds gather, the eagles get excited. The eagle uses the storm’s wind to lift it higher. Once it finds the wind of the storm, the eagles uses the raging storm to lift him above the clouds. This gives the eagle an opportunity to glide and rest its wings. In the meantime, all the other birds hide in the leaves and branches of the trees.

Face your challenges knowing that these will make you emerge stronger and better than you were. We can use the storms of life to rise to greater heights. Achievers are not afraid of challenges rather they relish them and use them profitably.

(5) When a female eagle meets a male and they want to mate, she flies down to earth with the male pursing her and she picks a twig. She flies back into the air with the male pursuing her.
Once she has reached a height high enough for her, she lets the twig fall to the ground and watches it as it falls. The male chases after the twig. The faster it falls, the faster he chases until he reaches it and has to catch it before it falls to the ground, then bring it back to the female eagle.

The female eagle grabs the twig and flies to a much higher altitude, and then drops the twig for the male to chase.
This goes on for hours, with the height increasing until the female eagle is assured that the male eagle has mastered the art of picking the twig which shows commitment, then and only then, will she allow him to mate with her!

Whether in private life or in business, one should test commitment of people intended for partnership.

(6) Eagles prepare for training. They remove the feathers and soft grass in the nest so that the young get uncomfortable in preparation for flying.

Leave your comfort zone, there is no growth there.

(7) When the Eagle grows old, his feathers become weak and cannot take him as fast as he should. When he feels weak and about to die, he retires to a place far away in the rocks. While there, he plucks out every feather on his body until he is completely bare. He stays in this hiding place until he has grown new feathers, then he can come out.

We occasionally need to shed off old habits, things that burden us, or add no value to our lives.

Best wishes for 2016 and beyond.
This piece is 4 every intending high flyer.

Business / Re: I Want To Go Into Keke Napep Business, Please I Need Some Guidelines by MacJC: 3:16pm On Jan 07, 2016
Dornix:
I am a lawyer based in Benin City and I have done agreements for people in regards to this keke napep business.

First advice I must give you is that when thinking of starting this business, you have to give the rider on a balance and carry basis. This way the rider will be more careful because he will like to pay up the complete money in the agreement so that he now becomes the owner.

I have a client who started with just one keke napep but now he has 4 on balance and carry remitting money to him weekly.

He bought the first keke napep brand new at the rate of N350k then all the registration and paper work brought everything to a total of N450k. This also included the fee to register with a park/association in the area where the keke napep will be working.

Now the agreement I drafted stated that the rider will carry the keke napep on balance and carry to remit N12,000 every week. That is N2000 per day Monday to Saturday. The rider has Sunday to himself to make his own money.
The length of the agreement was put at 13month to be completed. This means at N48,000 a month for 13 months gives a total of N624,000 as total payment for the balance and carry deal.

Imagine you have two keke napep and put as balance and carry, that is N96,000 monthly on the side just doing nothing.

Also remember that the advantage of balance and carry agreement is that if the rider fails to deliver according to the agreement, you can have full possession of your keke napep regardless of how much has already been paid.

I can only assist those within my state to avoid complications but I hope this information helps solve some questions already asked.

Thank you.

Pls, a point of correction. The 624k is not d actual/net income! It's the GROSS INCOME.
Remember, u invested 450k,and as a result, ur actual/net income is 624 less 450, which is 174k per annum or 13k per month {over a 13 month rate) as against the gross of 48k per Keke per month which u earlier quoted.
Pls let's lay d facts bare so that gullible/greedy investors don't get frustrated @ d end of the day.
Thanks

Hello house. Please i just moved to lagos with my husband and i wont mind a teaching job to keep myself busy. Seeing that i am not very familiar with the environment yet i would like a school in Egbeda and its environs. Please any help will be appreciated. Thank you.
Simple!
From tmr, go round schools in ur 'hood & submit ur CVs.
First, request 2 c d Principal/vp, then make enquiries about teaching vacancy in d subject(s) of interest...... but if that's not possible, then drop ur CV with them. If there's vacancy, they'll most def call u.

Don't wait till u see a "vacancy" advert in front of most schools 4 obvious reasons (even if there are Vacancies). Just do ur own part first.
Best wishes.

Please everyone, I have been invited for an interview tomorrow at a school in Ijoko sango otta area tomorrow , please what should I expect during the interview?

I have never been to one before, please help.
MacJC:

1. Written test: expect waec past questions!

2. Micro teaching:
(a) plz be VERY audible, Don't shout but be loud.
(b) be assertive. Don't 4m 'gentlemen' o!
(c) choose a topic u are VERY VERY good in; remember u've got only ONE CHANCE to impress dm.
(d) No blabbing/stammering. This shows timidity/incompetence.
(e) Liven up the class; try 2 make them laugh whenever possible. Add some humor 2 ur lecture.
(f) Feedback: Ensure u ask ur audience (which could be students or teachers or both) questions.
(g) mobility: move round d class once in a while, this shows/portrays "class control" and confidence. Don't just stay rooted 2 d board.
(h) look into the eyez of ur students. This also portrays confidence. Don't avoid their gaze. You can focus on a few students out of d lot that u are comfortable looking at.
(i) ALWAYS put on a smile, irrespective of how tense u are; ds portrays confidence
(j) peradventure a question is thrown @ u which u VIRTUALLY KNOW NOTHING about, instead of babbling/spewing out thrash, smile and with FULL confidence, tell them u don't have it RIGHT NOW @ the tip of ur hands. In order words, be honest about it. By so doing, u score a 'high' on d honesty/sincerity scale. On d other hand, if u bin get 'shikini' idea about d question, say 5%, my sister, with splendour, abeg magnify that 5% answer like say u Sabi efrytin! In other words, "ideas lo matter"!

3. LESSON NOTE:
Abeg prepare 4 lesson note o!

4. ORAL INTERVIEW:
(a) AGAIN, ALWAYS PUT ON A SMILE.
(b) be free 2 ask dm questions too. This shows them dt u are in control of ur "environment" and MOST ESP, it tells them u are NOT DESPERATE 4 the job - even if u did 7 days dry fasting for it!
(c)Transfer/Sign-on fee: Don't sell urself cheap yet don't drive urself off d transfer market with ur wage demands. With d exception of some few cases, the population of a school, their school fees, d location of d school or/and d "reservoir" (ie capital base) of d proprietor of such school is a pointer 2 d SOF such school can offer u! So do a research on ds or better still a mental calculation/visual observation of th........
