martinsmartest: The phone/PC you're using to type that rubbish would not have existed without Mathematics. The cars, aeroplanes, jets, television and all the technology today would not have existed without Mathematics, Even Number Theory is a branch of Pure Mathematics, but without it, online shoping/banking would not have been possible, I can go on and on but I don't have to, every intelligent person alive knows that Mathematics rules the world. As for Engineers and Mathematicians, they can never be one, engineers works with the principles of applied Mathematics, Mathematicians are research scientists that works on rigorous proofs and theorems. Most people don't even understand the concept of Engineering, if you want to develop laws and jet engines, then go and study Theoretical Physics(Physics and Mathematics), if you want to work with these laws and design jet engines, then go study Engineering. In a nutshell, Mathematicians and Physicists develop tools and theorems and engineers apply it their area of work, that is the reason you'll never see Engineers working as research scientists. 9 Likes |

hulkhiharitoz: They don't discriminate but they have rules that regulates their admission processes(unless you consider and/or regard that as part of discrimination as most of the precepts favour northerners). Unless otherwise stated, you'll sit for the same subjects you sat for during your JAMB examination. Also, Accounting is quite competitive, considering you are not from catchment, you need to score very high to even the odds. |

Hadampson: If it's F9, then none, but if it's a pass, then you can study. Botany, Biochemistry(depends on the school) Microbiology,(depends on the school) Animal Science Computer Science(depends on the school, like ABU doesn't demand physics as you use other science subjects in lieu of it but UNN deems it compulsory. Mathematics(you can use other science subjects in lieu of it but depends on the school as most university of technology would require physics, Statistics Fisheries Animal Husbandry Etc. Check your Jamb brochure for more. |

A man goes to the bank and asks for x dollars and y cents. The
banker by mistake gives him y dollars and x cents. After spending
5 cents the man realises that he now has twice the amount he asked
for. What was the amount he asked for? |

mrphysics: So you have not seen any of them in real life yet you believe they are real? And your only evidence or reason is mere rumours spread by schmucks in your village?. I suggest you start reading books, from Psychology, Neuroscience, and Philosophy, and then you'll understand why doctors, philosophers and Psychologists will never take you serious if you start to blab about seeing ghosts. |
