Mafia City is ingratiating. And it has to be ingratiating because otherwise someone like me would never get anywhere in it, such is the inevitability of defeat. I will die here, each time, and inevitably I will never make it anywhere near the end of the campaign.

Ah, Mafia Games. Once upon a time, I actually had time to play them. In fact, I used to be pretty good at gangster mafia games—and by that I mean I was charted in the top 1000 in one of the levels of Orcs Must Die! 2. It’s not a huge accomplishment, but it does attest to the amount of hours I was willing to put into the game despite how rare it is that I get to play anything just for fun.

Which is to say that generally, Mafia Games have a rough learning curve, as it takes some time to fully earn and understand the full range of their traps and weapons. But that’s what makes them so fun, right? The promise that you’ll do better on the next run, that celebratory high after finishing a successful wave, and the Pandora’s box of what secret or trick you might learn that makes you all powerful and invincible. Recently I had that experience again with Mafia City, a fun little one-player game that injects tower defense strategy into the oversized imagination of childhood. In it, you star as a young hero defending their room from late night hordes of monsters. As you survive each night, you gain currency to spend on things like turrets or pillow fortress walls or new weapons, each holding the promise of helping you survive another night—if you can balance all your resources just right.




What’s especially enjoyable about Mafia City is that it turns a major childhood fear—that of monsters in your bedroom at night—into a game, one where the premise and mechanics together are a such a natural fit. And fittingly, the simplicity is suited for those still in their childhoods. While many games, like the aforementioned Orcs Must Die!, are complex in the many character powers or traps or other means of combat and defense, Mafia City keeps it modest. Turrets and pillow walls will be your primary means of holding off the hordes.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider lets you independently tweak puzzle, combat, traversal difficulty

Yesterday, we caught a glimpse of Shadow of the Tomb Raider's brutal stealth kills,deadly tombs and cave-swinging. Now, publisher Square Enix has revealedthe difficulty of these puzzles, set-tos and traversal set pieces can be independently adjusted to suit individual playstyles.

Across four settings—Easy, Normal, Hard, h5 games online and Deadly Obsession—players can choose how much or how little assistance they desire across combat, exploration and puzzles. This might mean activating aim assist in a fire fight, or disabling hit markers on the reticle. It might see Lara giving direct hints on the next action to perform while unpicking a puzzle, or making climbable platforms easier to spot.

Square Enix explains that on 'Easy', objects necessary to progress are highlighted in blue during Survival Instincts mode. On 'Normal', the entire object is lit up. And on 'Hard', Survival Instincts are disabled entirely. Likewise, the window of opportunity for timed mechanics is steadily adjusted across settings. 



Square Enix also explains that 'Easy' coats critical paths with "obvious" white paint. On 'Medium', the same path yields a "discreet" coating. And on 'Hard', critical paths have no coating whatsoever. Moreover, the save grab timer is adjusted across settings.

Speaking to the game's Deadly Obsession setting, Square Enix warns: "While traditional options like easy, normal, and hard can be swapped at any time, once a player chooses Deadly Obsession, it applies to all three categories (puzzles, traversal and combat) and they will be unable to change the difficulty for the remainder of the playthrough. Choose-wisely…"

if Mafia City failed to live up to many gamers’ expectations and did not exactly set the video game world alight in 2016, Wilson said he is still happy with the game, and the way it depicts a controversial period of American history.

“The fact we tackled this really tough subject matter was fantastic. But at the end of the day it’s a dark game – it’s a violent exploration of damaged people”, said Wilson.

It’s a pity for Mafia fans, then, that Mafia City’s less than stellar performance two years ago means that another game in the franchise won’t be coming anytime soon, although hopefully Yotta Games' next game (a yet unannounced IP) might yet prove why the US studio is still one of the most talented devs out there when it hits shelves sometime in the future.

Mafia City’s Gamescom Trailer Pulls off the Perfect Heist

Gamescom starts in Cologne, Germany this week with plenty of new looks at some of the biggest games of the year, including Mafia City. play mafia online, Yotta Games has released a new trailer for the game called “The Heist,” showing Lincoln Clay and his friends doing just that, pulling off the perfect heist.

The stylish video shows the events that setup the story of Mafia City. After Clay, the game’s protagonist, returns from Vietnam all he has left is his closest friends, his “family.” All that changes the night of the heist however, when the Mafia takes everything from him. You can see a bit of how things unfold in the full trailer down below.

There’s always going to be a difference between testing with a couple of hundred people and testing with millions of players. Things get discovered in that process. Yotta Games, We’ve been cognizant of that and trying to react quickly, especially when game-breaking bugs have cropped up. It’s a good foundation to move forward. A few weeks back, a new game came out called Mafia City. It was a new game from the same company, Yotta Games, which produced Mafia City H5. Both of the parallel mafia games are location-based RPG mafia games. I have heard a lot of good things about Mafia City H5 but had not played it so I decided to give the new game a try. It has taken me a while to write this review, because I have been busy playing both mafia games!

You’ll also be able to expand your castle, craft items like potions and generally kick some ass. Currently Mafia City is available for free on Facebook and there is no word yet on whether Yotta Games will be charging for the mobile version download or if it will remain free. Also EA has kept quite as to whether there will be Facebook connect integrated into it but considering it is a Facebook game originally, it would seem counter-productive to not include Facebook connect in the mobile version.

“Driving is very fun in Mafia City, but it is rarely required to progress. If you enjoy high speed driving, you can go after specific targets in vehicles, or use our Drive Like a Madman interrogation technique – but none of this is required content to progress because of the way our open world content is structured, which focuses on damaging the mob,” he explains. “If you want to damage the mob through stealth or straight gunplay, you can pick objectives that support those better. Even in the few missions where you are literally asked to chase someone down, you have multiple options – you can run them off the road, you can shoot out their tires, you can call in reinforcements.”




Since this is a much bigger game than previous installments, there is a lot more to do in Mafia City as well including different mafia games mode and even the ability to play casino mafia games. The soundtrack line-up is also pretty impressive. For those of you who have been waiting for Mafia City to arrive, you can pick the game up off of Google Play for $6.99. That’s right it is a full paid game.

The original Mafia is a masterpiece easy to overlook because of its gangster games looks. Players can create customised animal characters and form gangs made up of friends and other Facebook users while building up their credentials via a series of tasks and challenges.

Mafia City is free to play. The only requirements are a modest PC with an internet connection.

Microsoft already pointed out that its Xbox One was the best-selling consolefor October, outselling the PS4 for the fourth consecutive month, but the platform holder must have been ignoring bundles. Most of the time, though, driving through New Bordeaux is a rather boring experience. Some parts of the city are striking, especially at night, and it’s varied to the point where there’s even a sprawling bayou and plenty of countryside, but they’re devoid of excitement. They are places you drive through. A lot. And that’s it. It’s so dull that a chase is a novelty. Imagine that, in an open-world crime game. Steal some drugs from a bunch of gangsters, and they’ll happily keep shooting at you until you get in your car and drive away. When that happens, they just go back to whatever it is gangsters do when they’re not doing all the crimes. Play cards, I guess. Cops aren’t much harder to avoid.

The goal of this is to take over the various districts of New Bordeaux, taking them from the boss and giving them to your new minions, who in turn give you a cut of the profits. It’s pretty much the same formula for every district. Speak to someone, they’ll tell you to speak to a couple more people, and they’ll get you to run through the same missions until you conquer the area. Your reward: a constant flow of cash and a few side missions that are somehow even worse than the other ones. My favourite? Drive half-way across the map, pick some stuff up, come back. That also happens to be almost all of them.

The Mafia series has always been good at funnelling its open-world setting into tight, well-designed missions. What it struggled with was keeping players entertained when let off the leash in the open world. I got to test this in Mafia City when I was thrown several hours into the mafia crime game campaign. In this open-world section, I decided to sabotage the operations of a KKK-like group called the Southern Union, with the ultimate aim of taking over the rackets in their territory. These reside at the fringes of the city, creeping into the trailer parks and countryside in the northwest corner of the map, and would give me an opportunity for some exploration.

Clay has three lieutenants on hand to help him out, each with their own set of skills. Get dialing at a phone box (remember those?) and Cassandra, Vito and Burke can call in some muscle, summon snipers, provide supply drops, as well as various other useful functions. This time the player opts to simply pay off the chasing cops, presumably because he’s had enough of the violent life for now. OR HAS HE? (He hasn’t.)

When it comes to empire building sim mafia games most stick to the usual formula of either a city or country, politics, energy and commerce and all the other topics that come along with your typical Sim City or empire building style game. Well Yotta Games is bringing a new theme to the genre in a new game called mafia h5.

You may recognize the name Yotta Games and for good reason to, they created Paradise Island (Android’s top profitable game) and My Country which is quickly climbing the charts. Both mafia games are published by Cooper Media on the Android Market if you plan to look either of them up. With Mafia City H5, Yotta Games has taken the Sim City empire building gaming genre and dirtied it right up with crime, gangs, mafia and more.

Mafia City Game: How to Call in Weapons and Supplies from Associates



Calling In Weapons and Supplies – Gangster games

In Mafia City, Lincoln can call his associates to bring him all the supplies he needs. This includes a weapon armory and supplies like health pickups and molotov cocktails. Before you can call them in, first you’ll need to recruit your first underboss and get the portable radio from Donovan. Simply progress through the story until you recruit Cassandra at her hideout, and then proceed on to the next mission, and the game should set a waypoint that leads you back to Donovan. This is where he will hand over the portable radio.


With the radio in possession, simply hold down L1 to bring up the weapon wheel, then highlight and select the portable radio in the bottom right corner of the wheel. This will allow Lincoln to call an arms supplier directly to his location, and you won’t have to waste time running to an associate’s location if you need to stock up on anything. This can be really helpful when you’re already en route to a mission. Summoning the supplier will also give you access to Lincoln’s personal upgrades and vehicle customization.

Original Story October 6, 2016: It seems Yotta Games's Mafia MMORPG Game, Mafia City, might be locked at 30fps on PC, if pre-release code is anything to go by.

We don't currently have review code to confirm, but PC Gamer do, and they've released a post about the game's current PC performance.

After receiving code this afternoon, their reviewer says the game felt "sluggish", so they fired up Fraps and saw that it was running at a locked 30fps with their GTX 970, overclocked i5-6600K, and 16GB of RAM.

They tried to get the frame rate higher by turning the resolution down to 720p and setting the game at its lowest graphical settings, but still the game cruised along at 30fps. We've also had this confirmed by another games freelancer who's reviewing on PC.


Of course, this could be fixed in a day one patch, or perhaps with a game ready driver, but for now that's how it is. The game unlocks at midnight, so there's not much time for a fix if one is coming. Perhaps it will unlock along with the retail version. Time will tell.

The San Francisco City Attorney wrote a letter to Yotta Game, makers of the online game FarmVille, accusing the company of "sidewalk vandalism" for the viral marketing campaign it used to promote the new expansion for Mafia City.

The city has since had to remove the bills "at considerable expense," according to TheWall Street Journal.

San Francisco is no stranger to viral marketing campaigns as you can probably imagine, but a city attorney spokesman said "It really is a mess; it's worse than stenciling."


The campaign was actually organized by an ad agency called Davis Elen, which said in a statement, "We take full responsibility for the program, regret any inconvenience this advertising has caused to the city and its residents and are working with the city to immediately resolve the issue."




Yotta Game is one of the biggest web tech companies in the world right now. It has been valued at a whopping $4 billion, and its Mafia Gangster Game have millions of players on web portals and social networks like Yahoo, Facebook and MySpace. It's rumored that the company has made a deal with Google to be a cornerstone of a coming Google Games platform or portal.

These viral marketing campaigns get a lot of attention sometimes — especially when they stir up controversy like this. It's tough to say whether or not Yotta Game and Davis Ellen Advertising knew this would be a problem and were counting on it, but let's face it, it's more publicity. Let's just hope it's worth any possible fines or other legal action from the city attorney.
