#50k each for 100,000 families Tiny must be an idiot to sign that. How will they choose those families? Yes, provision of food for each state is still okay if it is going to be monitored.

This is rubbish. Divert the 155B to hasten up the refineries production for cheaper fuel would have been better. How will the 100,000 families per state will be determined? Tinubu is an idiot

Religion is complex and a sensitive issue to many people...

Just because someone practices a different religion from yours doesn't make it diabolic. Imagine the guy asking her if it's Bible or Koran. So as it's not it makes it diabolical.

African traditions and religions have existed a long time before the arrival of the white man and his religion.

Except she was putting something directly into the food she was selling to the public then people should be free to practice their faith and believe systems and what works for them.

Last I checked there exists freedom of worship as enshrined in the constitution.

Except she is putting things directly into the food she sells then she should be left alone to practice what she believes.

No difference between her and another who sprays anointing oil/holy water in their shop or yet another who scribbles passages from a "holy book" mixes it with whatever and applies it to the shop with the same intent as the woman.

I had to repeat the last but one paragraph for emphasis because I know some people will still misunderstand what I am saying!

Thank you

Change the quality settings. If she watches through YouTube, change the quality to 360.. it will still be crystal clear but not as clear at 460+... On Netflix restrict heavy data usage by opting for lower quality... All these 360 quality still looks better or at par with most of these decoders.

Changing of environment, period. When you get out of Nigeria and moved to a place where they're a bit civilised, you will realise that prayers and curses are nothing but waste of time, energy and saliva. Only few of us who are still in Nigeria understand this.

I think the reverse is always the case. Yes, they seems to pray less because in reality, they don't know how to pray in the first place. Shouting unnecessarily reduces and when shout is being removed in an averag Nigerian prayer, they hardly know what to say.

I think they are even more religious when they get there but now in a more focused way.

What about the Inflation that came before the demand?
I bet your brain didn't process that.
It is called dumbness!

Very good question. That is what labour should fight and come to terms with the government. The major one being fuel price. That skyrocketed many items. What should the government do and what time are they giving to take it back to previous price.

Now labour caring less about that shows that any amount they are now requesting won't serve the needed purpose, it will only crumble the economy and creates hyperinflation because everybody will also wants a share. The government won't bother yo make things go down while the citizens who are now civil servants will double their fee. Gradually the economy will become useless and everything will go south.

You can see how the labour union are selfish and lack focus? The high cost of items need to be discussed first. If not, things will go south.

Hope you can process this simple term now?

South Africa hourly minimum wage is 27 Rand. 1 Rand is N81 which amounts to N2,187 per hour. 8 hours daily gives you N17, 500 basically. You get more if you work longer. 17,500 in 20 working days is N350,000.

Basic salary of a Nigerian senator is N2.4m monthly. That's basic you know. Total package is N29,000,000 monthly. MONTHLY.

Dont you think you need to make some little background checks before you talk? Secondly, don't you think you need to look at things holistically before you talk? Thirdly, don't you think you need to be considerate when 6ou talk?

How much is a room self contain in South Africa? Let's leave Gas, Electricity and the rest for now. Let's focus first on accomodation.

there's 40% left.
Read the analysis, oil is not the only source of income which I didn't metion.
Regardless, states govt are given their quota to service their own employee.

Are you also a government worker? Not surprising. You just calculated proceeds and shared it like that. So Nigeria got her crude oil as how? Was there no any expenses incurred during exploit? How will you excel in business with this mentality? No production cost calculations, you just jumped on your sales and enjoy the proceed How will you produce next crude oil? Please go to bed
Politics / Re: Who Is Out Of Reality In Terms Of Minimum Wage: FG Or Chatgpt ? With Snapshots by Majesty7: 5:55pm On Jun 11
jumper524:
The labor force of federal govt of Nigeria is about 2million,
Let's inflate the figure because of corruption and looting to 3million.

We sell 1.5 million barrel of crude oil daily @%90 per barrel which equals to $135million daily.

Let's assume 40% of this funds is shared across states then %20 is spent on salaries while the fg retains the rest 40% for capital and reccurent expenditure.

20% of 135million = $27million.
Multiply by 30 days in a month= $810million.

If you divide this figure by 3million workers, that's $270 per individual workers.

Depending on heirachy, I see no reason why the FG can't pay a minim wage of $120 as minimum wage.
That's about 140k In naira if you deduct $20 for pension and tax.

If labour are being realistic 140k is a fair deal, that 60k they are all talking about is absolute hogwash and I'm not joking.
So also the 250k labour is requesting.

So what about alleviation programs for people who are not civil servants? Subsidy of amenities for all citizens? Oh I forgot, it is only civil servants that are citizens.

You people reason with quarter brain. So, the country should go haywire because of 2m+ people out of more than 140m citizens? So sad

Politics / Re: Senators, Reps Should Get Same Minimum Wage As Labour – Father Mbaka by Majesty7: 2:06pm On Jun 09
Antoeni:
Popular Catholic priest, Rev. Father Ejike Mbaka, has urged the Federal Government to address the minimum wage issue cautiously to prevent potential crisis.

The cleric’s remarks come amid ongoing deliberations between the Federal Government and labour unions regarding the new minimum wage, which the government has proposed at N62,000, while labour unions demand N250,000.

Mbaka criticised the allowances given to legislators despite the hardships faced by Nigerians, suggesting that senators, governors, and members of the House of Representatives should also receive the proposed N62,000 national minimum wage.

He advised the Federal Government to proceed with caution to avoid a crisis.

So This Happened (251) reviews the murder of a pregnant woman in Rivers, other0:01 / 1:01

Speaking to journalists on Saturday, Mbaka stated, “If we decide to give labour N60,000 or N62,000, why not generalise it to the House of Assembly members, senatorial members, House of Representative members, and governors?

Minimum wage: Workers differ, govs want revenue sharing reviewed
“They are all civil servants, so are the others slaves? I can’t understand why they are amazing billions as sitting allowance, wardrobe allowance, newspaper allowance, and suffering allowance.

“The people that should have such allowances are those suffering in the village.”

Speaking further, Mbaka said, “How much are our teachers, nurses, and doctors being paid? Let’s be realistic, our civil servants that wake early and return late daily, how much are they being paid?

“Looking at the level of inflation in the country, you will see that we are all not sincere in this country.

“I’m pleading with the government that a stitch in time saves nine; this situation must be handled with care because it might be hijacked and nobody knows the ripple effect.”
