Business / Re: Ghanaian Government Gives Ultimatum To Globacom by maksum: 9:37am On Sep 23, 2011
Glo leave ghana and invest in other countries around them. When Ghanians realise that they are being ripped off they will come in search of GLO by themselves. Nothing is greater than people power and our North African brothers have shown us just that.
Politics / Re: President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan Approval Rating by maksum: 6:18pm On Jul 23, 2011
To answer these questions we will need to ask ourselves more questions eg. For question 1, How many states have paid so far after 3months. For exorbitant pay package for govt officials you will want to ask ho much has been reduced? Quality of FEC? are the round pegs in the round hole? For Boko Haram can u remeber the reaction of president Bush and his speech after september 9/11 and compare it to GEJ's response? He said terrorism is every where  giving the impression that it is one of those things with a grin on his face for that matter. The answers to these questions definately scores this administration low.
Politics / Re: Is Fashola Over Celebrated? Or He Is On Vacation by maksum: 6:11pm On Jun 24, 2011
MY OPINION. IT IS NOT POSSIBLE TO MAKE COMPARISM WITH NO YARD STICK. IF U WANT TO REALLY KNOW IF FASH IS WORKING THEN U HAVE TO KNOW HOW MUCH MONEY HE CONTROLS. THEN AFTERWARDS COMPARE HIS ACHIEVEMENTS VIS A VIS THE RESOURCES AVAILABLE. THIS COMPARISMS SHOULD BE MADE TAKING A CASE STUDY SAY FROM A STATE OR PROVINCE IN MALAYSIA FOR INSTANCE WITH THESAME EARNINGS AS LAGOS STATE THEN U WILL KNOW IF HE IS WORKING OR DECIEVING US. PERSONALLY I THINK HE CAN DO MUCH MORE. LAGOS HAS MORE BAD ROADS THAN GOOD ONES. THEY ARE THEY FOR ANY ONE TO NOTICE, THE QUESTION IS Y? PROJECTS TAKE SO LONG TO COMPLETE AND BELIEVE ME IN OTHER PARTS OF THE WORLD IT IS NOT LIKE THAT, AGAIN Y? HE REALLY NEEDS TO WORK MUCH HARDER HE HAS SO MUCH TO DO AND HE NEEDS TO FIND OUT HOW TO GET IT DONE FAST. HE STARTED WELL AND NEEDS TO GO TO THE NEXT LEVEL.

Politics / Re: Massacre In Niger Delta For Oil And Gas by maksum: 11:14am On Jun 17, 2009
Things are not always what they seem to be. It is simply not possible for the Nigerian Army to invite the press or a camera man to officially document a footage of that nature, use ur brains people. No Armed Forces in the world will do such. It is clearly propaganda and it bears all the foot print of it, for instance look at the caption 'muslim soldiers' what is the motive behind the caption. The sentiments and hatred towards the Nigerian Army this video has generated is exactly what the originator of that video intended to achive. Do not allow ur selves to be objects of manipulation. Nigerians should learn to seek for facts and stop being sentimental. No body said anything about the mass grave found in the militant camp 5 where the 18 missing soldiers were found, no body said any thing about bodies of soldiers found with their eyes out of their sockets. ARE THEY NOT HUMAN?
Politics / Re: Reason Cctv Can Work In The Streets Of Lagos. by maksum: 11:00am On Jan 22, 2009
All the comments in support of and against this cctv thing are all good. But u see in tackling problems no matter how small or big it may be the first thing to do is to identify what the problem actually is , then in seeking for solution it is likely that there could be more than one solution to choose from. Choosing the most appropriate solution is also another problem, for this, time will always let u know if ur solution is adequate. If ur solution is adequate then the problem will vanish with time. If our leaders have been identifying prolems and providing solutions not just providing but implemnting these solutions to the later we should have been better off now. BRF if not for anything has shown that he is capable of doing things differently, thinking out of the box. That is a recipe for change which we crave for. cctv pfiority or not the man is taking steps let him take them at least that way he is coming from somewhere and he can look back and fine tune lapses in due course. What if he did nothing at all nko then the status quo will be maintained while others are on the speed lane towards developement. Thumbs up BRF.
Politics / Re: Naval Officers Beat Up A Lady And Stripped Her - Watch Video by maksum: 5:33pm On Jan 13, 2009
DF 2006. Your ignorance knows no bounds. You talked about war/Admiral.
1. Gen Peatraus the US commander in Iraq was never in any operation/war b4 Iraq. So be adviced not every Admiral, General, or Marshal is opportuned
to see war even in the US so it is not a criteria.

2. You

This is not ot justify what has happened however in making judgement it is imperative for us to be objective.

1. Why do u think the Navy chaps decided to pick on that particular lady out of all the commuters in lagos.

2. Why did the video man not present 100% of the event to the public, rather only the after effect of her aggressive act was shown. Why sensor the video.

3. What do u have to say about the recorded conversation from MTN btw her dad and the Admiral. Well of course no one will care to know about that because that is being objective.
Politics / Re: Nigeria Needs N2.7tr For Effective Policing, Says Okiro by maksum: 1:07pm On Jan 13, 2009
The police obviously needs a lot of things, in summary a radical change in every facet of its existence. SKYBLUE'S comments hv tackled some things i have in mind also, so i'll mention a few more. For this radical change to occur it needs a dynamic leader who knows where the short comings of the police are and how to make up for them. Nothing stops the police from generating resources of its own because the fed govt will never give the police all that it asks for. Does this mean that we can be restassured that our police will never be better than what we see? i dont want to believe so, that is where the dynamism comes to play. The Army for instance have built bridges and roads in the past. The quality of the man power in the police also neeeds to be improved right from the police academy this includes the instructors themselves, otherwise it will be gabage in gabage out as it is now. In short the police should be repackaged for it to earn respect.

Politics / Re: The Nigerian Obama - The Time Is Now - The Choice Is Who: ? by maksum: 10:59am On Jan 06, 2009
How was Hitler able to mobilise the German Armed forces and utilise the strength of his forces to a point where he conquered 70% of Europe. It took the Allied Forces including USA,USSR,Britain,France,Canada etc to stop one man at a price unprecedented till date. Hitler had a vision not only did he have a vision but he made his people believe in his vision and together they worked towards it even when it was glaring that it was going to cost some lives. How did he achieve this? through words of inspiration. It is not possible to be a good leader if you dont have a vision and cannot inspire your people to believe in your vision and to work towards that vison. There is no obstacle a leader with vision cannot overcome be it corruption, ethnic sentiments and all the rubbish we are familiar with that consitute our politics. We need some one that can change our mind set that is d starting point. Why do i say so? take a look at 2 examples below.

1. An empty bus with a passenger capacity of not less than 20 people came to a halt at a bus stop with only 7 people waiting. All 7 of the potential passengers rushed into the empty bus at the same time. The result was a struggle. WHY.

2. How do u explain a situation where a full grown man chooses to hoist his ass in public glare in the name of answering the call of nature especially when it is not a case of emergency down there. How do u explain these.
Politics / Re: Lagos Megacity Project-send Your Proposals To Gov. Fashola by maksum: 11:48am On Jan 05, 2009
Its nice to withness some positive thinking going on. For the doubting thomases like Nigeria1, what do u gain by insinuating negative feelings in people? nothing so keep ur doubts to ur self. That pattern of negativity does not belong to our generation we need to move to the next level fast. My familiarity with Lagos terrain is not so good but i will make my input. Firstly i would like to point out that d Lagos mega city project developement of the transport system should include the water ways. A modern ferry system should be developed to this effect. Under ground road ways should also be considered. this will reduce the hassles of traffic congestion. This is achievable and has already been done in some parts of the world eg indonesia, nd USA. Recycling of garbage should be considered also as a profitable way of keeping the mega city clean. People like me may just sell the ideas, while others build on it. Having the idea is the foundation.
