Pls if one works in a company where payslips are not given? Can a letter on an A4 company letter headed paper detailing the salary breakdown each month suffice?

Thanks

@justwise @ekpotek

If someone states he's staying at a hotel in his visa application, gets the visa, cancels the hotel before he travels.
And he writes the address of a relative who wasn't mentioned on the visa application as the place he's staying in the UK. Will this cause problems at the POE? Someone is telling me that it doesn't matter, as the agents at the POE do not have the details of the visa application.

[quote author=uptown17 post=64952307]good evening house
so my mum applied for uk visa and one day after she left Uk, she received this email from home office
her visa expiry is 25th Feb or so..

REMEMBER YOUR VISA EXPIRES SHORTLY, MAKE PLANS TO LEAVE THE UK OR EXTEND YOUR STAY TODAY

We're sure you already know that your visa in the UK expires on 25 February 2018. We hope that you have enjoyed your time here.

You've probably already begun to make plans either to leave the UK or to extend your stay before your visa expires. If you haven't started to make plans to travel yet, you should start now as there are less than 3 weeks left. Don't wait until the last moment as travel may be more expensive and you don't want to risk your leave expiring.

If you need to extend your stay then, for peace of mind, you should submit your application as soon as you can. You will find information about how to do this on GOV.UK.

If you have recently applied to extend your stay or your information is incorrect, please let us know here.

Thank you,

Immigration Enforcement

my question is: has anyone received such mail towards visa expiry?
is this now a practice?
should we answer or ignore the mail. she already left UK anyway

i clicked d link in the mail and below are the questions we are to fill

Thank you
[/quote

I think this is now a practice. I know of a friend who received such a message a few weeks before his UK visit visa expired.

The breakdown is fine. If you should need any financial support let it come from your husband. So providing your husband bank statement is good. I would suggest that you deemphasize staying with your uncle in the application as this may be considered by the ECO as lack of sufficient fund. Just mention that you have an uncle which you intent to visit after your exams.

Noted! Thank you very much!

Pls Justwise and Ekpotek, help me review my application to know if I stand a chance.

Cost of trip for 6 days.
Flight-£ 540

Accommodation - £37 (I booked a hostel for 2 days for a day before and a day of my exam). I will be staying with an uncle for 3 days prior to the exam...making final preparation for the exam . He stays in London, while the exam is in Manchester. He will provide me with
relevant documents.

Feeding/living expenses- £120

Transport/miscellanous- £100 (bus to Manchester is £40 for a return trip)

Total- £797 approx £800

Pls how realistic is this?

Also I earn N140k per month, though on some months I earn bonuses which takes my net salary to N200k. I spend about N50k per month and save BTW N95- N100k per month. I have managed to save about N2m in my account.

As it stands, the cost of my proposed trip is almost 3x my monthly salary and 4x my net salary.

The trip is not for leisure though, it's for an important exam that will help my career progression. I'm married with 2 kids. I'm also submitting documents from my husband to prove he is working and catering majorly for our family, while I save most of my salary.

Pls how feasible is this application? Should I look for a financial sponsor? Pls help.

And what can I do to improve my chances.
Thank you!

You wil also need to provide evidence of his status in the UK such as passport data page and indicate that you will stay with your uncle for 3 days.

Thanks a lot Ekpotek. He has a British passport.

So I don't need to submit his bank statement? Cos he's not willing to submit it.

Good evening Justwise,

Pls if a relative (an uncle) is providing accommodation for me for a few days (3 days before my exam), is it necessary to include his bank statement?

He's just providing accommodation while I have more than enough for feeding and living expenses.
Is it enough to include just invitation letter, mortgage bills and utility bills?

Just write her name and state that you will not be visiting her, there is no need for her passport number if not asked.

Thank you Sir @justwise for your prompt response as always.

In the new online application, if you state that you have a relative in the UK, you have to fill the name and passport number in the slot provided.

@Justwise , @Ekpotek
Pls help me out here.

In my previous posts I stated that I'll be going for a professional exam in Manchester UK. I've booked a cheap hotel close to the exam venue.
However in the online application, we were asked to state our family members in the UK (immediate family and spouse's immediate family)

my husband has a sister in the UK on a spousal visa (husband is a British citizen)

I won't be visiting her as she lives far from the exam city.

Do I need to submit any documentation about her? Or should I just fill her name and passport number as requested in the online application.

Ok sorry i got that wrong but you still have to submit his bank statement if you are getting him involved in your application, payslip alone is not good enough as it does not show the availability of cash.

Alright. Thank you so much for your prompt response!

Yes its compulsory to submit your husband's bank statement and payslips to support your application since he is the sponsor.

You can't submit just the payslip and letter from his workplace.

Pls Sir, my husband is Not the sponsor. I'm sponsoring myself....with savings from my salary. I'll definitely submit my own bank account.

I stayed in my application that my husband is the main bread winner of the family and caters for the family, which is why is spend little of my own salary and save a lot. To prove this, can I submit only the payslips and letter from work or must I submit his own bank statement cos he's not sponsoring my trip.
Thanks Sir.

Good afternoon Just wise, I don't know if you remember my previous threads.

I'm applying for standard visa to write an exam.

I'm sponsoring myself with money I saved over time from my salary.

I plan to state in my application that my husband is the main bread winner and caters for most of the family upkeep.

My question:

Is it compulsory that I submit my husband's bank account statement to prove that he earns a salary?

There are some money lodgements there that may be too tedious to explain.

Also in about 2 months, he spent more than his salary as we had projects to pay for during that period. He also has months were he spends far less than his salary. His account has never gone below N300k in all this.

Can I submit only his payslips from the last 6 months and letter from his workplace?

1. If you do contribute to living expenses from your salary. Indicate the amount, if not put zero

2. Please include your sister in-law as someone you know in the UK. You do not need to staybor visit her.

Walk on proving sufficient documentation to convince the ECO that you are going there to write an exam and will return back to your work.

Alright. Thank you very much!

Just wise and other gurus in the house.

1) In the standard visitors visa online application, there's a section asking for how much we spend each month on living expenses.

Is this the amount spent from our salaries only? Or in the case of a wife who's supported by her husband...will this include the amount given by the husband to run the house too. Even though the amount is given in cash and does not reflect in my account?

2) though my main purpose for visiting is to write an exam. The ukvi is asking for any immediate family or that of my spouse living in the UK.
My husband has a sister who lives in the UK. I most likely will not visit her and I've been advised to deny that I have a relative. She's on a legal visa and all. Lives with her husband and children in the UK.

Pls advice.

Thank you
justwise:

The 2M you have managed to save so far is good and will be enough to take care of the trip if you plan very well.

Outline your cost of the trip and add it to your visa application, avoid over budgeting in things like hotel accommodation and transport.

Look for a hotel close to your exam centre to reduce cost of transport, get budget hotel(travelodge, premier Inn, Holiday Inn) those are some budget hotels in the UK.

1. Your family financial situation is good so state the living expenses as it's, nothing to worry or confused about here.

2. Even if you are going to be denied a visa never exclude your children's name in your visa application for any reason.

Your children are your financial dependents and should be added.

Thank you Sir

Hello everyone. Justwise and other well informed people on this forum.

I'm a married mother of two young children (ages 2yrs and 8 months old) and I'm planning to take a trip to the UK for an exam early next year.

This exam is very important for my career progression and I've been planning for it for about 2 yrs now.

My husband earns about 250k per month while I earn 140k per month after tax... Though this varies monthly cos some months I earn more due to bonuses and leave allowance... Bringing my take home to about 200k per month during these periods . This is perfectly explained on my account statement and salary slips.

I work in a private company.

I plan to sponsor myself for the trip. So my hubby and I agreed that he will see to 90% the bills in the family while I save most of my salary. I've consistently done this for 2 yrs now.

I've managed to save about N2m now from my salary.

I save at least 80k per month. The months I receive bonuses I save over a 100k.

My spending is at least 40k per month. Some months I spend about 70k.

My monthly spending is basically on Monroe personal expenses like transport, airtime etc

I usually spend about 10k monthly on groceries/minor things just to assist my hubby though he gives me about 70k in cash for monthly house expenses.

My question:

1) when filling the online form. When asked for my living expenses... How much do I put? Cos some months I spend 40k ...other months I can spend as much as 70k depending on my take home.

2) financial dependents: although my hubby is the main bread earner. I still contribute a token towards my children's well being. Eg buying baby formula, diapers etc. Costing about 10-15k per month.
I'm confused as whether to add my 2 children as financial dependents.

Pls advice. I'll ask more questions as I proceed with the application.

Thank you very much.
