I wonder how people rewire their brains to enjoy making mockery of the truth as well as leaders who have excelled in governance instead of cajoling bad politicians who have either failed in governance or are already brain dead with recourse to their age or way of lives the must have lived during their salad days when they were green with health.

Let me start by thanking the Admin and all the Nairalanders who make one or two input here. I don't write often. I am quite a regular reader over the years. I read beautiful headlines and stories and most especially, I first read the comments before reading the main story. Reason that, I like to see it, first from the comments section and its wide range of perspectives.

I DO NOT like to call names or gullible in respecting the will or position of another person. So will try not to use words that may insight anger leading to bereavement of information.

Please @Nairalanders, if you have some few answers, I will be needing them on these questions below:

1. How was your #nigeria of yesterday and what is your Nigeria of today?

2. To develop is to think in that direction. How do you project, pitch, make the foundation upon which your children will inherent. What will be your legacy standi?

3. What factors do you consider in governance, taking Nigeria as a case study, are necessary for consideration at this moment?

4. how do you consider politicians in terms of mindsets, state of mind, cognitive as well as physical alertness, mental health, etc.?

5. how do you look at governance in terms of equity and fairness?

6. What's your view on governance in terms of religion, ethnicity and tribe differences?

7. What's your rating so far in terms of transparency, accountability and accessibility when it comes to the gladiators we have in the race?

8. So far so good, you have heard them talk from one Town Hall to the other, whose economic policies or postulates do you think will take us to a greater Nigeria?

Please let us make Nigeria a better Nigeria. She is our country, our home and the mother of our birth. She is is the greatest gift we can ever have for our children.

We owe ourselves to set aside religion even when it should be considered because we have been playing it as a game since I know Nigeria and it has never worked. Let us replace it with character.

We owe ourselves to set aside 'it is my turn' or 'it is our turn'. Let us replace it with competence.

Commitment to the task is what nigerians need now. A leader who is committed, accessible and responsive.

Let us all be wiser, by now, they could have brought out their expired and repackaged covid 19 palliative. People are very wicked grin

I truly pray and look forward to having Mr. Peter Obi as the President of our new Nigeria .If we miss him, I had wished we didn't miss Professor Yemi Osinbajo. Irrespective of his low performance as VP, I strongly believe, if giving the chance, he would have become one of the finest African presidents, if not the world best.

Osinbanjo or Peter Obi is a win for Nigeria. But they robbed us of Osinbanjo, they can't rob us of Peter Obi. He is our only hope now. This has nothing to do with tribe, religion or party. I get sense. Ergo cognito sum.

Sometimes I just taya for this Nigeria, just open primary election, Our man before wey go live for Dubai use money buy all the delegates. The other one kukuma buy contestants. Same old politics of braindead leaders.

For people promoting and supporting bad governance in their ignorance, the breakfast dey cook...I believe Ahmad Ibrahim Lawan in a deleted post at his #Twitter handle has shown you the game plan in case you never knew.

I have always known that #Shettima is their first projection. Atiku is their fallback. But the people woke up sooner than they anticipated and took over the show.

Their panic is intense now. So they will release hoodlums to act like unknown gunmen, infiltrate the south with one form of action or the other.

Some will claim #ESN and #IPOB and make mayhem and then they will send Force on us. Its already happening in APC states who are loyal to the government like my State, Imo State .

Then it will pain us and will force us to say no election in the southeast or southwest.

Then they will count their own vote and call winner. They need to get South south. Rivers State for a perfect dealing. So they are wooing Wike and wike is using them to catch cruise. Wike will outwit them and find a safe landing...a more peaceful and accommodating place where he will pitch his tent. I like the man, moreso, he is hearing the voice if the masses and observing trends.

Old political tactics will fail them and I'm sure they know by now. Young ones and even elders have risen beyond tribal, cultural and religious sentiments and are poised to contributing their quota towards achieving a new Nigeria. They know that a vote for Obi/Datti is a vote for not only a new Nigeria but also, a productive and prosperous Nigeria.

They will infiltrate us. They will push us to concentrate at a point, we will be do entrapped. Then they will declare mayhem on us. Then hunger will set in and those who will sell out, will.

However, these cannot happen if we dont allow it. Get your #PVC today. #INEC has reassured us again and again.

Know where you belong today.

The true enemy of Nigeria is that man or woman who is sponsoring terrorism against his own brothers and sisters.

The true enemy of Nigeria is that person supporting a bad leader for continuity.

The true enemy of our country Nigeria is that person who is not working for a new and productive Nigeria.

The true enemy of Nigeria is that person who does not believe that we can have a leadership that can move us from consumption to production.

God Bless #Nigeria.

My dear brother, committing suicide isn't an option. I think we are on the same page except for Prefer sleeping alone that she doesn't want someone body to touch her. Or fo I say mine is even worse as I feel I battle supremacy between myself and her girlfriend over her. Our own incompatibility is so much that I dont think it crosses my mind to take her out.
So right now, my plans are to ensure I push her abroad with my two kids and calm down to rearrange my life.

nokia1000:
I am fully regretting marrying my wife. She is always right and doesn't take corrections.
She doesn't have sex drive. Prefer sleeping alone that she doesn't want someone body to touch her.

I have made a lifetime mistake. Sometimes I feel like committing suicide to get free from regretting. I am seeing myself going down slowly.

You're quite on point.

Obojuju:
A vote for PO will deliver a New Nigeria. Currently Nigeria needs a man who operates in these 3 pillars;
1.) Globally aligned blue print
2.) Human Capital Development
3.) Conscious capitalism

1.) Globally Aligned blueprint.
Good governance is NOT hard, thieves make an argument for one. Over the past two decades, a thin consensus has been emerging on what countries should do to foster economic development & growth. The consensus revolves around 3 building blocks;
✅Human Capital Development
✅"Needed" Infrastructure
✅ Leadership by example
PO is head & shoulders above all with regards to the awareness of the 3 building blocks needed to foster economic growth for a country - all thanks to his updated Education. When he talks about the feat made by countries such as Singapore, Thailand etc.. PO used this framework has a governor and he is ready to use it at the national level.
2.) Human Capital Development
Public servants should be focused on serving the public - not any special interest group, & good governance should be an expectation - not an exception. Not surprised that the FIRST building block of the global framework for economic growth is HDI. Human capital fuels economic growth & contributes significantly to higher labor productivity. It's also crucial for innovation & the absorption of ideas from around the world. No country can grow without an accompanying commitment from its govt to investing in human capital. Aside PO, none of the major contenders has boldly profess his commitment to a principle of PEOPLE DEVELOPMENT then infrastructure. Aside PO, none of the main contenders has spoken against why young graduates with laptops are profiled criminals when we should invest in them more
3.) Conscious Capitalism
Many have argued what economic & political philosophy describes Peter Obi. Is he a socialist, communist or capitalist? PO is a conscious capitalist. Conscious capitalism refers to a socially responsible economic and political philosophy. In other words, it builds on the foundations of capitalism of building values however those values are for the gains of the PEOPLE & the Environment. There are 4 traits of a conscious capitalist: Higher Purpose, Stakeholder Orientation, Conscious Leadership & Conscious Culture. From not collecting pension after office, to not accepting land offered to him as governor, to cutting cost of governance, to giving senior citizens allowance, to diverting security votes to education & healthcare, to investing in education & health facilities in different zones of the country from his PERSONAL POCKETS, Peter Obi is surely a conscious capitalist and this is what LEADERSHIP BY EXAMPLE is about. Nigeria needs such person with empathy, conscience & love for others. To everyone with a good conscience.

Brother man, Obi is very different. We need all of us to push Nigeria forward. Remember, Thomas, Judas and Mathew a tax collector was among the 12 disciples. Remember also that the persecutor of the Christians, Paul became the highest sharer of the gospel.

What we are clamouring for is good leadership and a better Naija. Of you don't believe that Obi will perform best among all, hmmm. Make I no talk wetin dey my mouth.

Brother I don't agree with you on this. Whatever that's worth doing is really worth doing well. Mere looking at the two ballot papers, one would agree with me that much ink was used in the Nigerians version. That apart, the amount of money demanded by INEC is even more than enough to modify the paper for more clarity and understanding.

SmartPolician:
I don't think the Zambian version can work in Nigeria because of cost of producing such ballot papers and lots of legal cases engulfing parties in Nigeria.

Update

I am tired of these senseless mentions.

Zambia has a little over 8 million voters while Nigeria has about 100 million voters.

Adding any other feature to the existing features in the ballot papers as INEC initially planned will require more ink to print them.

INEC may ask for more money before they are included because it wasn't in their initial budget.

My Bossom childhood friend was financially down and needed financial assistance because his landlord was suffocating him with his constant nagging. So he contacted me as his old guy and and told me the situation on ground and requested for financial assistance from me. I didn't hesitate in sending him the money which he summed up with the one he had and cleared his house rent.

So, this afternoon, his wife texted me, and in her text, she thanked me for the assistance and requested to pay me a visit and and help me with some of my chores since my wife is in Bayelsa. From the very moment I set my eyes on that text, I haven't been myself knowing fully well that one thing may lead to another during her visit/stay.

That my guy is so dear to me and we treat each other with utmost respect so for this reason, I wouldn't like to loose that respect and trust. This woman is anticipating my response, according to her.

Please house, how do I discourage her from visiting me in my wife's absence without it looking as if I'm avoiding her? What does she want? Who has been in this type of situation and how did you resolve the issue without creating enmity?

Broda you that knows how to put your literacy in good use by writing a full thesis. I thought when problems of this sort is identified, you explore, critique and come up with a feasible solution.

You're even aware that the entire world if frowning at the high rate of carbon emissions and then you proffer that the use of coal be an alternative panacea to our problem.

If your brothers and those people you're sympathizing with didn't put us in such a condition as to completely wade off our refineries, how could Ukraine-Russia war be affecting us? Are we Europeans who depend on Russia for oil? What is Nigeria's place in mineral and petroleum exploration and exploitation? Are we also importing food from Russia? Are you aware that the state of the country is like a mother who gives off the little food meant for her household to quench hunger only to pocket the money for herself.

Until we wake up as youths and think deep into how these greediots called our leaders have milked us, until we realize that there isn't a safe place in the country for us and for our unborn children if we don't do the right thing today, until then, we're still wallowing in shear ignorance.

For your information, 1kg of gas in my area is 1000 naira as at today. A crate of egg is something shameful that I can't even say the price. Yet, minimum wage is even difficult to pay to workers. Economy is at standstill and education is on the halt. Yet your brothers siphon our Nigeria money in billions and trillions.

Please to all common man out there, we no go die. Just do the needful come 2023. Get your PVC and come out and vote. Whether we want Oduduwa kingdom, Biafran Nation or Arewa Nation, come out and vote in the person of your choice. It is when the leader who have same ideology as you do comes to the seat, your choice of music will be danced to.

Anything we have to do, let us converge our focus towards electing someone with clear vision, a young, energetic, healthy and vibrant leader like to turn out ship to the right coarse before it capsizes. Check developed countries and thriving countries like France, Ukraine, China, Japan, even here in Africa, look at Rwanda. An old man with life support has nothing to offer be he's brain dead. A man who is not educated and doesn't understand the econometrics of leadership isn't fit. We don't need people who have criminal cases here and there to lead us.

Shine your eyes ooo.

FreeStuffsNG:

You are being alarmist and not putting your education to good use with this lamentation.

In the first place, gas cost has risen astronomically globally since Russia-Ukraine war started. Read up on why it is so.

On your unnecessary dramatics about food, parents still feed their children as no sensible responsible parent will let his or her children go without food because of high gas prices.

For as long as this war continues, gas price will remain high and that is why even Europe has started telling their citizens to cut down on gas usage and switch to alternatives, even EU itself has switched to other energy sources like coal.

If wealthy EU countries can switch to alternatives, that should teach you how to be sensible with your finances too when prices of any commodity is going sky high because of artificial reasons. That is called demand destruction to force price down.

In Nigeria, we can switch to kerosene, coal etc to reduce demand for gas so that those who want to further profiteer from the scarcity can reduce their price.

Sensible parents have since bought stoves and coal pots for now like Europeans in order to wait out this war period and will get back to gas when the price falls.
This is the way out not just lamenting and forming a lamentation group.

Gas itself , due to the deleterious effect of its combustion CO2 emision on our climate, will one day be phased out once we perfect the renewables.

N:B To those 'entitled' ones screaming we have gas in Nigeria, let me remind you that between the gas underground and your kitchen is a lot of billions of USD investments you do not have o and those who made the investment from their hard-earned money can not keep subsidizing your gas consumption endlessly especially when they have willing buyers and international contracts that pay more for this gas in the scarce forex our country currently needs.

Banking on gas subsidy after you enjoy petrol and electricity subsidies that our folks in the villages do not enjoy is an unjust ungodly welfare system you use to kill those poor villagers who are not enjoying your privileges of electricity, petrol subsidies and now gas subsidy but picking your bills and social costs while you feed fat on resources govt could use to give them basic amenities like pipeborne water; clinics, security, schools, standalone solar generators etc.
Their blood is on your hands if you want to extend your subsidy appetite now to advocating for gas subsidy at their expense.

FG must never subsidize gas. Get creative and responsible. Kill this lazy youth with entitlement mentality of yours.
