Music/Radio / Re: Top 10 Nigerian Songs 2017: Top 30 Most Popular Music In Naija by Marcsolo1(m): 9:47pm On Dec 30, 2017
Daejoyoung:

Well it seems Nigerians just wanna dance though. l recently came across one of the best jams from Tiwa Savage(in my opinion) with a very artistic video and some good lyrics(never knew Tiwa savage was that brilliant). l learnt it was written and produced during her marriage crises, to me it's her best song.
Tiwa Savage....lf l start to talk.

Even with all these, it is perhaps one of the most ignored/underrated tracks ever from Tiwa Savage by Nigerians.
I feel the fans make them that way
A song like I wish by Ycee didn't make any wave
The joint Album of Simi and Fall didn't make much wave
Falz 27 album didn't
But we two people like Tekno that give us gibberish
How many people Listens to AdekunleGold, Timi, Darey.
I am not saying all songs should be Emotional and R&B.
But give us songs with sensible lyrics.
That's the reason MI was complaining that there are no flows and bars in Naija Hip Hop any longer

See players(remembering me of barcelona woes)

if not for messi, barca squad is just average: iniesta(slow and like to pass back), andre gomes(minus 1), rakitic(play well for 60 min, shutdown for 30), alcacer(him and post-no keeper- he can't score), pique & busquet(old age)

and vervede dey think of signing a Nice midfielder

Wey they for beg,plead..do anytin for coutinho to come
Bros i be barca fan, i just dey pity our club this season.
TV/Movies / Are The Best Days Of Entertainment Behind Us?? by Marcsolo1(m): 10:09pm On Aug 14, 2017
Are the best days of entertainment behind us??
Entertainment comprises of the movie, music and sport industry.
First let's look at the sport industry
This present age, the world of sport is nowhere compared to the past in terms of passion though it has more viewers now. Let's look at football for example. Since the Russians and Arabs came into the game "loyalty"is just a word in the dictionary. Players no longer stick to a club for years, even those that stick to their club ask for higher wages. Young and Vibrant players leave to China and MLS for money.Players now snub their national teams for club interest e.g players of the Cameroon national team in 2016 afcon.
Secondly Let's look at the music industry. Apart from the fact that it has created more jobs and money through hosting of shows and concert, video making(video vixens, editors) music production(instrument, mixers, producers) this part of the entertainment industry lacks passion.
Music lyrics this days is a thing left for R&B. Other genre of music sees good lyrics as something optional. Music now has more listeners ,musicians and money. but let's not also forget that it has more trash.
Thirdly, the movie industry. This part of the industry is the only part i feel has grown better in terms clearer videos, nice movie script, good actors. But still there are still lapses in this industry in terms of copyright.
Money and fame is now the drive for our entertainers, i feel this kills the passion and the beauty of the industry or what do my fellow nairalanders feel??

Nairaland / General / Re: What Do You Think About This Adage In This Age? by Marcsolo1(m): 11:01am On Jun 06, 2015

Sports / Who Should B Blamed When Right Players Are Not Called Up?? by Marcsolo1(m): 4:46pm On Oct 15, 2014
Everyone knows that EUROPE has the best journalists in the world and are good at publishing the good things in their various leagues and their great players....they are also good in hyping players...this could make u a superstar( if u concentrate more on your football)...of recent u notice the players been called up for qualifiers or friendly and u begin to wonder if there are no better players in their leagues...for example Ramos was injured for Spain before their friendly and Marc Batra was called up,is it that there are no better defenders in the LA liga,or don't the journalist hype them well for people to notice,or do the coach just prove stubborn.... look at d English national team....Andros Townsend was called up for england two qualifiers...when last dat one kick ballwhen they have player like Adam Johnson in Sunderland....Adam Johnson once said that when he was in mancity sitting on the bench he was called up,but now he is in Sunderland starting matches but no call up....now lets come to Nigeria...John Obi Mikel has not been in good form but because he plays for a club in London (Chelsea) he not only start for naija but becomes our talisman..dats weird...while Obafemi is in form in USA no call up...Keshi stick to annoying players like Agbim...whereas players like John Ogu is not called up...that guy has outside shot...apart from Onazi and Emenike nobody takes shot from outside....so my question is who should be blamed when the right players are not called up to the national team....the coachmedia?or just lack of players
