How it all started:
In January 2018, a friend of mine who had just migrated to Canada told me about the opportunity and wanted me to give it a try. She explained some part of the process to me and even sent me a CIC document highlighting a step by step process of all that is required. After some thought about it, I decided to consider it as an option to move to the abroad although I didn’t have enough work experience at the time as I was just about 5months into my new job.
Prior to this time, I was considering the Education route for Austrailia with one bobo that wasn’t serious (we were going to go as a couple but God had His own plans), and then I had a PHD in America option which was looking more achievable than Austrailia in the pipeline as well. As God would have it, The bobo broke off the relationship in December,2018(said his vision was not with America, lol except it was Austrailia or Canada, lol and at this point, I was the only one preparing to write IELTS and I was also studying for GRE, and he kept on postponing preparations for the exams). Before this time, I already enrolled at a study centre back in 2017 for IELTS Academic but I didn’t write the exam that period. Fast forward to 2018, the classes I had came in handy and was very useful when I started practicing to write IELTS General.

IELTS:
Ielts preparations was a bit easy to study as I already went through some rigorous lectures for IELTS Academic which is generally harder than the General, although I had to do some more brush ups as I had forgotten a lot of the tactics used in answering questions. Also, it became a little stressful studying for the exam because this time, I had to combine practicing with my tight work schedule which wasn’t an easy peezy. Sometimes, I would have to study at work, thank God for my Engineer onsite who understood what I was going through or in the bus on my way home as I spend a lot of hours on the road commuting to work (living in mainland and working on the Island thinz, my Lagos peeps would understand this). I also tried studying at home sometimes too after work but mehn, It wasn’t easy, infact I remember one of the days I tried this after getting home past 10pm, I prepared coffee to help keep me awake while I study, lol. I remember placing all my reading materials on the dinning table where I usually study and my coffee and then I decide to go into the room to just lay a little and then get set to read, grin lol. Omo, the next thing I heard was my 4am alarm, lol chai grin, see me laughing at myself. Meanwhile, I still met my coffee and reading materials on the table chilling and waiting for me lol. In all, thank God the result came out great.

Study materials I used were; Jay’s videos(I used more of this), Liz videos, practiced some online daily listening and reading tests everyday, I had a Barron’sIELTS textbook as well and I made sure I practiced, practiced and practiced. I wrote my Exams on November 10th,2018 and results came out on the 26th.

EE Profile & WES Evaluation:
So immediately my IELTS result was out, I quickly opened an EE Profile as I had already evaluated my degree (B.Sc and Masters) for the American PhD Parole with WES US and I thought I could use the same evaluation for the express entry, although a friend of mine who was also in the process told me since I had done WES evaluation before, it would be useful. Anyways, I later found out that same day that there was a WES Canada for this process, chai, see me thinking I was getting ITA in the week to come, lol. I sha then opened a WES Canada account, requested that my documents be transferred from WES US to WES Canada which was done the next day, sharp sharp. Then Wes Canada told me they had received all my documents and that it was being reviewed and so I had nothing to do but to wait. I thought at this point that the evaluation had started so I was sure I was getting ITA soon, yimu lol (anyways, It was at this point that a friend sent me the link to this nairaland thread in part 6 and so I started to read, eat, drink, and digest from page 1 to the page I met and was confused with so many info but I was patient, asked some questions though and then gradually I understood and was able to even start giving advice and all) Only for them to get back to me after 2 weeks that I needed to submit my waec, bla bla bla, mshew as I didn’t have to include waec when I did WES US coz they had not started requesting for it then. The next day, I was at WAEC office in the morning and #25,000 sorted everything, thank God. My waec didn’t get to WES until January because of the Christmas break which caused some delay. Anyways, WES evaluation got completed on March 4th, 2019 and dived straight into the pool right away.

ITA, MEDICALS & PCC:
I received ITA with CRS Score of 453 (draw score was 452) on March 20th, 2019 and coincidentally on that day, I went in for my Medicals at IOM which was a breeze and also had my PCC at Alagbon (a Nairaland member on this group gave me a contact and I did it for #3,500 with one woman, can’t remember her name).

AOR:
I submitted my application on April 1st, 2019 and documents I submitted were:
• Work reference letter in CIC format on the company’s letterhead from HR and I claimed just 1 year (I didn’t submit any other document with this, just the letter alone as I was no longer working the organisation)
• POF was 100% from my Dad, he did a Gift deed and notarized it. After he paid the money into my account, I immediately invested in money market funds with Axa Mansard (thank you @Claire18 for your help on this one) as I was scared of leaving the money in my savings account. So I printed a statement of account showing the input of the POF into my account and the movement of the money into Axa Mansard Money Market Account. I then requested for a reference letter from Axa Masard in CIC’s format for the money invested and a statement of my investment account from them as well and submitted all this as my POF documents (I didn’t submit any 6 months statement, just a statement for the days I did the transfers)
• Medical Paper from IOM
• PCC (Scanned the whole pages including finger print pages)
• Data page of Intl. Passport
• Digital photo that I took using a photographer on my street, I sha gave him the specifications and he did a very good job, I even consulted with Ifeoma77 on this coz I wasn’t sure, her comment made me blush, lol, thanks Ify .
• For Education, I submitted my Masters Degree, B.Sc, IELTS and ECA report all in 1 PDF file.
Can’t remember if there’s anything else to add

After AOR:
After AOR, my medicals passed and i received letter for Biometrics on May 17th, which was a breeze and got a Ghost Update and then the silence started. Although I had to raise a CSE for addition of my new International Passport as the one I submitted was expiring soon. Afterwards, I was curious to know my visa office and the progress on my application and so I raised another CSE. The response I got wasn’t clear, though I sha saw Ottawa and assumed it was my VO. At this point, I joined so many whatsapp groups just to keep myself abreast of situations and progress here and there. The whatsapp groups were very helpful although the Indian groups can give one heart attacks if one isn’t careful, lol. I also made 1 call to CIC and the Lady on the phone told me I had just submitted my file recently(this was in July o) and that I was still within the normal processing time and that I should be expecting my PPR in October/November which was the the end of the 6 months period. Well, I really didn’t have anything to say as regards her comment but I sha knew I was getting in the end.

On 1st of August, I decided to go take my passport at Studio 24 just to prepare myself for the mail, I just had a hunch to do it and also requested for GCMS note on the 7th of August (yet to receive that though). On 14th of August morning, I saw a ghost mail in my application and I just started jumping for joy that atleast my file was being worked upon. My people on the whatsapp group started congratulating me that PPR was close by and I kept that faith burning. Lo and behold, I woke around 3am on the 15th of August (dated 14th August) and decided to check my phone, hmmmmmmm, READY FOR VISA MAIL (PPR) was sitting pretty in my mail and I almost went numb. Wow, the feeling was indescribable mehn, I couldn’t hold the joy and the fact that I was now fully a Canadian, lol. Guys, the whole journey was worth it mehn and I wouldn’t trade it for anything else. Thank you all for reading and I can’t wait to see you all in canny land (my Beloved Country)

Single Applicant
Ottawa Visa Office

Background
So my eldest brother got his PR at the end of 2017 and advised me to begin the process. I used the CRS calculator and my points weren't looking very good as I only had a few months of post NYSC work experience. I had just started a new job after some months of unemployment. He alongside my mum continued to persuade me to begin the process referencing my pre NYSC and NYSC experience. I researched the Australian immigration process and it looked bleak for me. I later joined this thread and researched a bit on the work experience issue and confirmed that my NYSC experience could be used. After some more research from the cic website and canadavisa.com, I also confirmed that the pre NYSC experience was also valid for the process. Though I was skeptical of the possibility of getting the work references, I decided to start the process.

ECA - WES
I paid for my WES evaluation at the beginning of may 2018 (Used WES because my brother used same).
Sent my statement of result to WES using hellofax and paid for the transcript from my school. Lots of challenges here. After over two months my transcript hadn't been acknowledged by WES. While searching for solutions I got someone's number here and decided to give him trial. Needless to say he was God sent. Within a month my transcript had gotten to WES. They then sent the verification letter which became the next battle. Contacted him again for the verification. This time the story was different however. Different stories came up from the school and almost 3 months went by. Cutting the long story short, my school eventually verified the results to WES early in December and it turned out to be in my favour as my months of experience were increasing. The ECA proceeded and I got my evaluation on the 18th of December 2018.

IELTS - BC
After paying for WES, the next step was IELTS. I booked on the mainland with British Council (Didn't know about MOD till much later) for June 2nd 2018. Had about 3 weeks to prepare. Traffic was really pervasive at the time and work didn't give much room either. I got tips from a friend on the general overview of the exam. I prepared for listening with a random site I found as well as the main British Council Ielts website. I studied speaking with ieltsliz.com, also practiced answering the questions with my mom as the examiner grin . For writing, I used the training on the British Council ielts site. Finally for reading, I watched a video my friend gave me where the lady advised not to read the passages but to go straight to the questions and try picking out the answers. In all honesty, the preparation was quite shabby. Whenever my brother saw me playing video games he would sound a warning of how people prepare hard for IELTS and how people write IELTS multiple times to get the right score. At some point, I accepted I wouldn't pass as the time was too short so I just zeroed my mind on another exam, even blamed him in my mind for making me book early as I planned to book for July.
Eventually the date of speaking came on the Saturday prior to the main exam. The examiner was really nice and her voice cast away all my tension. Luckily for me the first question she asked was the very question IeltsLiz treated in the tutorial she gave grin ("Do you live in a house or an apartment?"wink and my fictional answer was on point. The rest of the test was fine. The second leg of the exam was scheduled for June 2nd. My brother travelled to CA that day so unfortunately I couldn't see him off to the airport. During the listening I lost concentration and missed one of the questions cry. I also started the first section of my writing with pencil then wrote with the pen once i was ok with it. Unfortunately this took a lot of my time and I was still writing with pen when I heard 20 minutes left. Quickly jumped to the second second and barely finished it. I went home praying and hoping for the best whilst also prepared for another test. I was up playing video games in the early morning of Saturday the 16th of June 2018 when I decided to check the IELTS website for the result. God was really merciful to me. Results were LRWS: 8,9,7,8. I immediately chatted my brother up to give him the good news.

Documents Preparation
After the IELTS result was ready and the ECA was in progress I started sourcing for my documents.
Employment
This was the next biggest challenge. I started working immediately I finished school as I did my IT with the company and also worked part time with them in my final year. I then worked with them from when I finished school till i was done with my NYSC. After this I worked with an American company remotely for some months before I joined my new employer.
The current place wouldn't be a problem however the foreign company as well as the first were sources of concern for me. Without going into too much stories, God was merciful again and I'm grateful to all the companies as they were very nice and helpful. All provided me the reference letters in CIC format.

Medicals
Once my school verified my results with WES, I decided to book for medicals. At that time Qlife was booked till march and I was scared that IOM would follow suit. I went for the medicals at IOM ikeja. Got there early and I was done at about 11 am.

ITA
My ECA was ready on the 18th of December 2018 and I immediately created my Express entry profile. A draw was held the next day (439) and I got the ITA. CRS was 450.

POF
My mom came to the rescue here. She transferred the POF and signed the gift deed as well. I notarized the deed at Igbosere court, Obalende for 1500.

PCC
I did this with Inspector Moshood for 3000. Also had a bad experience as the gear of my car refused to enter into reverse cry. Luckily people around helped me push the car towards the road grin.

After all these, the last item was the work reference letter from my current employer. I was advised to wait till the new year to get it. Shortly after my one year anniversary I approached my boss for it and he gave me without any problems, also gave me lots of valuable advice.

Application
I created a OneDrive folder called cic. Inside this folder, I created a folder for all the components of the application. Employment, education, passport, pof, sibling proof etc. Inside each folder I created a folder called parts which contained the individual scanned documents. I used pdfmerge to merge the documents together. After each category's document was ready I uploaded it into it's folder (e.g employment). This way at every point in time and even after I submitted I could find out exactly what I had submitted.

Education : Submitted scanned wes eca, statement of result, and ielts result.
Employment : submitted reference letter for each company, offer letter for each company, last 3 months account statement for each company highlighting salary payments, payslips and confirmation letter where available.
Medicals : the medical print out provided by IOM
POF : used a fixed deposit for 60 days. Submitted the FD certificate, account statement of my other investment with the bank, account statement showing the transfers of the gift deed, account statement of my mum showing the debits of the gift deed and finally the notarized gift deed.
PCC : all pages of the police clearance certificate
Proof of sibling : my brother's PR card, utility bill, childhood picture circling him and myself, our international passports, our birth certificates and a newspaper clipping showing my dad's change of name
LOE : I explained what I submitted for employment . Explained why some of the payments were larger than expected. Also explained the composition of the POF .

I submitted my application on Wednesday Jan 30 2019. At this point I joined a number of whatsapp groups and couldn't keep up with both the groups and nairaland so I concentrated on the groups. After about a month and half I got the MEP/BIL request. Then there was silence. Decided to call them in April. I loaded skype airtime €5. I was able to reach them on the 30th of April. A nice middle aged lady said eligibility was met while others hadn't started. I took this with a grain of salt for some reason. In May I decided to order GCMS notes. Tension was getting much so I called on the 13th of June. Another nice lady said everything looked good without giving any further details angry. The GCMS Notes came on the 16th of June.
Eligibility was met on the 24th of April as the nice lady had suggested. The due date was 10th of June so I was quite happy as I believed my file was being worked on. On the 19th of June, there were lots of PPR announcement in the group and I decided to check my profile. I was quite elated to find a ghost update and quickly added cic.gc.ca to my allowed filters on gmail. I woke up the next morning to find the PPR mail sitting in my mailbox.

All glory to God for this great journey. I pray every one of us will get to Canada in Jesus name. Amen

LONGEST POST ALERT...........PPR GIST PART2 grin

Thanks my "DESTINAMBARI" for the Part1 of our story. Am glad i finally convinced you to come out of that shell.
Boss Ifeoma, if you looking for your number one fan, it's xplorezee i tell youuuuuu! grin

Ok my people, this is the REMIX..........

Decision to travel has been since after my OND days. Actually delayed HND for few years as man had to hustle. This was born out of the advise from one of my lecturers back in 2005 at MAPOLY, that as a prospective Engineer, it's really important one go in search of core practical experience. And today, i thank God i followed the beautiful and life saving advise. More so, I have always learnt from my DAD that a man needs to be self sufficient. The support of the wifey should only be an added point cheesy.
This two reasons really made me work hard to gain experience and at the same time gather some funds.
Fast forward to 2009 while i was contemplating on going for my HND, i actually calculated how much i have been able to save and decided to give YANKEE a try. I contacted some folks i believed could help but they all turned me down one by one.
Without wasting much time, i enrolled for my HND and continued working by the side. After completion of my HND+NYSC in 2012, I decided to reawaken the Yankee dream in me once again. With more links to the Creme de la Creme people, surprisingly, they all turned me down one after another despite having my fund to finance myself o! #WinkedWorld
It was here i forgo the dream and face naija hustling reloaded. With much experience in the bags already, i was changing one job for another in the Engineering/Telecomm Sector, not even the B.sc/M.sc holders could compete with me at interviews. But sincerely, i kept on thinking and reevaluating my OBODOYIBO dream because i saw a lot in the line of duty. Toured all the states in the entire Naija since 2009 but the merciful God has really protected me from some horrible accidents. Talk of Bike, Buses, Luxirous(Ezenwata, Agborfure and co.) etc, the nature of my job is one that exposed me to all this things. Likewise, the struggle for survival never seem to END.
2014 came and this boy decided to get married to Ma'am xplorezee wink.
My Golden Son arrived in 2015 and from the moment I saw him at the hospital, I just knew my boy & family doesn't deserve a life in Naija. The thing wey my wife eye see for labour room na him dey go for front so grin.
Codedly & Calculatively, I began to restrategise again. Found out about YANKEE Visa interview and noticed that we were gonna be qualified with luck on our side. Talk of the conditions such as home ties, savings etc, I have got it all. But one thing lead to another, the urge never materialise.

Fast forward to Feb. 2018, I was strolling on my FB page when I saw the status of my Surest BOSS from my former coy i had worked in 2016. He is "ebho" here on NL with the fastest PPR record ever liveth grin(i believe) The Holy Ghost just shine my eyes onto his DP & I observed that his Profile Picture no be for here. I clicked on his profile and voila, it reads Winnipeg, Manitoba. I buzz him immediately and my boss that never disappoints answered sharperly. I inquire about how he take do am and it was there he told me about Canada Express Entry.
See me see as I almost hit myself say where i dey since, but don't mind me, like have said, i was busy raking in Millions for Companys with peanuts in return as salary. Na so man begin with d mysterious & adventurous journey to Canny LAND

ECA: This was already set since July 2018. We used WES and thankfully, all this WAEC brouhaha hasn't started at the time. Transcripts processing were also easy 'cos being a popular figure Faculty Treasurer(OND) and Faculty President(HND), I was still recognised and had a breeze smiley

Oct.27th '18: Aced IELTS on the 6th attempt. Wifey too wrote 4 times. I would say two or three major factors contributed to this. One was the believe that wifey would be the suitable Pry. Applicant due to her B.sc, hence my refusal to properly read, we were also looking at the PNP route at the time. So, I was just doing it for fun. ECA outcome came in after our 4th attempts and our eyes opened when we saw that with my WES conversion as 2 or more certs, CRS would be dancing between 441-450 with me as the P.A depending on IELTS. Na so i tell Madam say it's time to rest while i take charge. I took it the 5th time after thorough preparation but my overconfidence in "READING(my favourite)" earned me 6.5. I actually finished in 45mins but was just thinking about WRITING instead of make good use of the 15minutes left to go through my answers.
I immediately Reload and Refire in the next test of Oct.27th & had LRSW 8.5,7,7,7. CRS come siddon jejely for 444 grin.

MEDICALS: This was done UPFRONT in Nov.2018 at Q-Life. It was quite smooth as we got to V.I around 5:30am. Fnished well on time around 10:30am and had our PCC on same day with Inspector Moshood.

POF: Was also a breeze, as IELTS between myself & wifey don cost me about 1M+ coupled with some other unprofitable business i had dabbled into; I reached out to my Uncle in the U.S and he gracefully sent me some solid funds with gift deed. Another jolly childhood friend of mine also supported with some substantial amount.

REFERENCE LETTER: Was from my Supervisor on a plain paper, not notarized while i only attached his ID card. 6months payslips and printed Statement of Account. My Employment and Promotion letters were also inclusive while i had 2 NOCs.
COPR passports was at the famous Studio24.

ITA: Dived into the pool with a CRS of 444 in Nov 2018. Na here another hypertension start. Draws that were dancing btw 440 & 442 before we entered pool o, na so CRS shoot to 449 & 445 in two consecutive draws. Omo! See fear!
ITA finally landed gidigba on Dec.19th with CRS cut off 439 for the day. I carry many lucky people for back on this day grin.

AOR: Packaged all IRCC requirements and send am back to them on Dec.27th and got AOR. RPRF was also paid. No dulling at all as all documents don even ready since JUNE(lol).

MEP/BIL: Came in on Feb.7th 2019 and was done on the same day at VFS Lekki. After this, we were becoming restless awaiting PPR.

On Feb26th: My wife has been saying all day that "PPR must show today after another boss of mine in my current company got his PPR days earlier. At around 11:30pm while still busy with my second family(IELTS CLASS), na so the IRCC mail dropped o! Na him I said, "darling it's like he don show o".
We logged into our account with SPEED and unfortunately, it was an ADR(lol). The request was for why there was a difference in my name on my Boys birth certs and that of my Credentials. My people, this ADR na because of WASIU(present in all my official docs.)and ABDUL WASIU(on my Sons birth certificate o). So please, let's be careful.
Na so my wifey sprang the surprise by bringing out our Wedding Invitation of five(5) yrs ago. My God! I fear women that day 'cos i never believed she kept that single copy all along.
Low & behold! My name was written Abdul Wasiu on it and na so we scanned and write fews words join. We made it "back to sender" that same night smiley.
Adebee dear, i thank you once again for your assistance on this night too. We began to wait again, especially as people were saying don't worry, your PPR will land in three days once they have verified the ADR response. Sleepless nights come start. Will finish with my IELTS people around 11pm and still wake up like 3x in between till day break to check for the Golden Mail. No be small thing at all.

March.29th: After vivi844's comment here on NL on d 28th, wifey decided to call IRCC on d 29th and we received yet another shocking news. The lady that answered said our PPR mail has been sent since March7th and we should have received it since then. We told her we received no such mail at all. Me that i have been checking my mail in & out(Spam o, Important o, Thrash o and even inside my phone jacket to see if he dey hide for there) every blessed day since the day we submitted their ADR. She assured us that she will contact the office in charge to issue us another one.
My people, na this particular waiting period come worse pass. In fact he for better if the lady hadn't told us anything like that. I begin to make a list of the people i have told about this to reason if any Village Pelson dey among them grin. Wifey was restless, Me the hubby was sleepless. Na so so checking of Inbox every hour for our Miracle Mail. At some point, i be dey think say whether na my IELTS Students take juju hold the thing say if wasseynewest don get PPR, it's bye-bye to tutorials grin.
We sent IRCC mail, Ralph goodale no carry last and also raised CSE. Two days after, CSE replied and add salt to our injury. Their mail reads we should wait till April 28th and contact them again if we no see anything. Chai! Which kin tin be this Fada Lord!
At this stage, wifey and i have zeroed our mind to the 28th and we were really getting over it.

On April9th: It was around 4:15am when i go "weewee", na him i just said make i check if my phone dey charge as the charger too don contact the IRCC virus and do misbehave at times. I looked at it, saw it's charging and was about to drop it na him i see the google mail alert. Honestly, I wasn't thinking about PPR cos i do wake up to like 5 mails daily. Na so the Holy Spirit told me to check and see the Joy that await my FAMILY. I opened true true only to see the IRCC mail. At that moment, my breath seized for a second for fear of another ADR. Again, the PPR mail wasn't on my mind at all. I summoned the courage and opened the mail. Wawuuuuuu!!! Finally, the Eagle has landed for my domot. I couldn't scream, I was speechless, I just smiled and whispered to the heaven & said "ALHAMDULILAH, God, you finally did this". Went straight up to Madam for room and said, "No shout o. It's like the Mail has entered. She replied asking me to "Say Walahi". I showed the mail to her and the feeling was like that of the very first time i met her at IKOTUN Bus Stop. She smiled at me like it was the very first day she said "Yes" to my toasting.

With Passports already at the VFS office, we have started packing to land "VERY HARD" in CANADA already.

In the end, ONLY GOD MADE IT POSSIBLE.

It will give about 33 points. I haven't gotten my IELTS result yet so I can't give you information on my CRS now.

But assuming I max out IELTS, it will move from 416 to 449.

Please kindly add this person to the WhatsApp group for the exam, thanks. 0806 857 5191

DECISION TO RUN
....the minute I returned to Nigeria from my masters in the UK in 2017. The pressure to go back for a PhD was high, but I wasn't going to let them turn me to a psycho. My masters was intense, hence, I needed a break. angry

Sooo I considered Australian visa 476 and the Australian PR, changed my mind. Next was Netherlands work year visa for graduates from the top 200 universities in the world to gain work experience. It's a 1year visa, but I was willing to give it a shot. Started gathering documents, but not wholeheartedly. Worse still, the people on that Netherlands student thread are sooo stingy with info....it would have taken me 3yrs to land in Netherlands.

Meanwhile, I knew about express entry somehow but thought I wasn't eligible cos I was a Graduate Trainee then, which wasn't a full time role. Also, where the hell was I gonna get POF from? (POF isn't required for the Netherlands work year visa). Still read page 1 and updates in my free time, but was scared of asking questions.

Finally gathered courage and asked the stupid question in July 2018 in Part 4 and got the shocker of my life...I was very eligible, infact, my NYSC experience was more than sufficient!!! WHAT The second shocker was the info on gift deed for POF! So why did I now come back to this Nigeria? Ohhh ignorance indeed is bliss...I sha followed alllll the Canadian express entry threads from Part 1 and my journey began.

The only document IRCC requires from you to prove work experience, is a reference letter. Anything else is at your discretion.
Basically, you can use 1 or 12, it's up to you.[/quote]

It has been a really long road. And I just want to give thanks to God, because I know He makes ALL things beautiful in His time.
This journey started from the study route. Got admission to Fanshawe and Vancouver island Uni. Couldn’t raise funds at the time so I took a breather and tried out EE.
I’m going to give back to the thread the way I benefitted from it in days past.

IELTS
IELTS really humbled me mehn. I just couldn’t figure out what I was doing wrong. Reading was a pain. I wrote this dreaded exam 5times. I remember my first exam, didnt even bother reading for it. The mindset was “is it not ordinary english exam”. 5 exams later and look at God. All four remaining exams, I only practiced for reading as that was the part giving me nightmares. I knew the section giving me issues was the last section. It was too long and boring and there was barely any time to finish. For the 5th and final test, I started my reading exam with the last section which was the hardest and solved backwards. Voilaa!
ECA
This was the smoothest part of the journey self. 3 weeks between paying, applying for transcript and IQAS sending me my ECA. I wonder what happened to them post 2016.
WEDDING REGISTRY
The plan was to get married and add my wife post AOR or when I get COPR, but the delay in passing ielts scuffed all that. Score was 439 after the 5th ielts and the average to get ITA was 441. So one morning, I left work and took a stroll down to the registry just to confirm their process. One thing lead to the other and I called my wife (then girlfriend not even fiancé) and gave her our wedding date. She was thunderstruck. I kept saying “hello hello! Can you hear me? Lol
Yes we had plans to marry and we already knew we were going to spend the rest of our lives together, this just brought it closer.
Luckily I had begged her to do ECA and IELTS because after my fourth IELTS, I was tired and I told her to be principal applicant. She reluctantly agreed, because she didn’t think her work experience would qualify. I also registered to do the IELTS exam with her for moral support and reduce the pressure I was placing on her. Lo and behold we both passed. Recalculated our scores…and here we are!
POF
I started this process not knowing where the POF was going to come from but I had faith in God. Few weeks after AOR, God came through for us. We got 100% POF gift from two sources (85/80). This was really bugging me because all through the thread most gift was from just one source. After digesting the gift deed section, I decided to go through with it and be clean with IRCC as expected. Two deed of gift was drafted and signed by all parties. One of the gift deed was to me and the other deed was to my wife. We deposited both in our joint account. My wife also wrote a letter authorising me to use the deed to her as part of our settlement funds. We didn’t notarise the deed as the gift were from family members. We wanted to make it look as natural and logical as possible.

Post AOR
I had promised myself before I submitted our application that I would not be checking the portal every minute. Who was I kidding? It became a routine, every morning before I even assign task to my team members, I would always check to see if there was anything new. I followed ImmiTracker to know when my AOR mates were getting MEP/BIL. After MEP/BIL, the wait became worse because there was nothing to look forward too. Total silence. Not even an ADR. I even emailed Ralph so I could know my situation. Ms Robyn replied a few hours later that criminality was passed, but eligibility and security checks have not being initiated. Then PPR started raining for AOR mates and even people who submitted much later. I knew it was close. Then I logged in one morning and saw the first ghost update. I couldn’t hold my smile. Every morning after that ghost update, I would wake up with excitement only for it to diminish after I refresh my mail. This went on for a while. Then I requested for GCMS notes first week in January (yet to arrive as at the time of writing this report)

“Nothing in all the world is more dangerous than sincere ignorance and conscientious stupidity”
Page 1 of this thread cannot be over emphasized. From this thread, I’ve enlightened some people and they keep saying why don’t I become an agent? In this Journey you have to read, research and know what works for you. No two applications are the same. Review your application logically and act as your own Visa officer before submitting. If Finance is your stumbling block, start from somewhere help can arrive at any time but it must meet you prepared. You don’t have to have all the money to start the process.
I wish everyone on the Journey Success and may we all achieve our dreams in Canada.

it has ended in Praise!

Please house, does anyone here have contact details of someone in waec office that's involved in the processing of results that I can talk to as regards processing mine?

I submitted my application to them since December 13th, 2018 for my results to be sent to WES and up till this moment, it hasn't been processed. Meanwhile the courier lady I spoke with is telling me that some applications from dates after 13th have been processed and sent and my result is 2006 may/June which i believe is recent and shouldn't take time. I'm running out of patience at this moment sincerely.

I have had my Ielts results since November but couldn't enter the pool. Meanwhile, all my transcripts and certificates from other schools has been sent and received by Wes. Waec is the only one left for evaluation to commence.

Kindly help a sister biko!
