Romance / Re: Pleas Help!!! My Sister Husband Is Asking Me Out by matnx: 3:23pm On Jan 07, 2014
I don't know if her story is true or not.
But i just wanted to add that i find a lot of the guys commenting on nairaland forum backward, illiterate, small minded and mainly retarded! And most of you that comment like demon possessed persons are the so called religious ones.
You make ungodly and unjust excuses for misbehaviour as long as it is a man. When it is a woman, u rain all sort of insults and abuses and blame her for everything! But what you don't know is that you are saying men are kids and can't think and women are the adults. As children can never really be blamed for their actions and the parents usually takes the blame for a child's action.
This is a grown man, a family man who is and should be the head of the house, the decision maker. And you are saying that for a family man to send such messages to his sister in law is her fault?! Are you saying he has no brains? or excusing his actions by saying she must have been dressing provocatively? Is that a good reason to want to sleep with your wife's sister? To want to destroy his family's peace? Lets assume she is dressing provocatively, is it wrong for him to warn her even in the presence of her sister to stop dressing like that in his house?
A man that wants to sleep with his wife's sister is an animal and total brute and nothing but a dirty cheat. And with the way he his going as others as been saying his wife would get an STD from him sooner or later.
As for the sister in law, you are funny but lets assume you don't know what to do. Leave that house with immediate effect, and inform and show the messages to a matured and responsible family member and make sure you don't go back to that house. If you really love your sister show her the messages after informing this mature member of the family. And let her make her own decision.

Nothing really changed... Nothing is new under old dear sun... The mind control scheme of the ancient royal families(illuminati) is at work. They intend to cuz more fight amongst everybody as jesus profesied. They infiltrated the medias, economy, politics and religion which the use to pass their mischievious messages. And while we are at it (distracted), they are settling it giving them the power of control over our destinies. Men are still bigger and stronger and we bear the bigger burden... You don't expect a pregnant woman or a nursing mother to be as powerful as her man, right? You can also send them to war, right? This is where the logic must have come from. Men fight and women stays at home. You don't expect a fighter to be as humble as you... Anyway that was a little joke of course. But take it seriously... Wake up all you living dead bodies. The man is your master by all means.. Serve him...

Don't worry we would send you to the jungle to live with lions and Gorillas. You would fit in perfectly!!

Most people do what they do because of the influence of others not necessarily because they really like or want to do what they are doing!

That being said why do most ( am not saying all women) African women make marriage a do or die affair? It's because they want to be accepted by the society,to please people and not be laughed at as our society places a woman getting married as her highest achievement in life and as the only value she is worth. Why do most guys get married? Because they want to please their family not necessarily because they want to get married, in fact some even know deep down that they are not ready for marriage. But because we have this mentality of "WHAT WILL PEOPLE SAY" many would get stuck in things they are not mentally, financially and emotionally ready for. Same goes for having children.

By the way i personally don't think marriages in the past lasted long because women were more humble than they are now, i think it was men made sure women had no choice but to stay in a marriage. What do i mean? She had no job, no education, she was trained only to get married, bear children and serve her husband. So even if her was maltreating her and her children she had no where to go! How would she feed herself and her kids? She would become a pariah!

You see a man just married 5 days ago, clubbing till day break, drunk, womanising and others. Its obvious he his not prepared to be a family man so why his he married?

Most of the guys commenting here are Chauvinists. A woman should be more humble n blah blah. Women 30 and above are not married and its shameful?! Really? What selfishness and what pride!!

Jesus Christ is the leader of the christian congregation. And yes a woman should be submissive and respect her man. But the bible said also a man should love the woman has his own body and cherish her as christ does the congregation and gave up his life for it ( can you be rude, controlling and unkind to yourself? Can you beat yourself up?). Jesus( he that has been since before the creation of men, heavenly spirit, superior in ways we cannot fathom) washed the feet of his disciples, mere men, fishermen and the likes and gave up his life for us.He led not by expecting or by entitlement but by EXAMPLE! Men learn from this! If you can then you can expect the good and reasonable women to follow your lead in all aspects.

Personally, how I would treat this is, my child has to know all his father culture, language etc before mine.

Though I do not think the guy may have meant bad, but he meant it. The son is his son hence he bears his surname.

I think you overreacted, since you said the child can still learn Yoruba either way. Teach your son all his fathers culture before yours. Your son may blame you when he does not fit in, in future. Your son is not Yoruba, he is Esan.
Even with names, he has a right to deny you to give your son a Yoruba name, its his Esan son, not Yoruba son, so you were just pushing your luck.

Are you sure you are not pregnant again

Are you really serious? A woman has no right to her child? All these man made customs!!! You should read about different cultures of the world since obviously are really shortsighted and naive. He has no right to deny her of giving her son a yoruba name! Her son is both Esan and yoruba by the way. In the future he will fit in perfectly if he knows both languages. The child can choose any of his inherited custom in the future will it kill him later if he decides to be identified later on in life as a yoruba man for some reason let's say politically?
In fact i just find your comment really disturbing and ridiculous!!

Romance / Re: Does A Date Have To Be In A Resturant? by matnx: 3:39pm On Oct 14, 2013
Our ladies are the cause. Ask a girl out and hint going to a park if there is one within your area, she will immediately suggest tantalizers, mr biggs, chicken republic. or even nkwobi joint. When she gets there, she probably will be accompanied by two of her friends. She must make sure she gets "take away rice ", chicken and even fruit juice. I know I will get some bashing for this but it happens all the time. I experienced such sometime ago.

This only shows the type of girls you like. Any woman that behaves like that has no class nor self respect! But the thing is you might not mind since your aim is also dishonest. So everything balances out quite nicely!

Family / Re: Her Dad Is Attracted To Her - What Should She Do by matnx: 3:25pm On Oct 14, 2013
The reality of how most of us are brought up in Nigeria dawns on me everyday! When a woman of 19 still regards herself as a kid. And cannot make a decision on her own even at least to confide in an older person or better still take control of her life when distasteful things like this happens.
I was not quite 15 when an uncle started sneaking into my bedroom trying to lift my clothes up while he thought i was asleep, i warned him and when he didn't stop i took courage and reported him to my parent that would have be affected if the whole family knew. It was nipped in the bud and that was the end of the nasty scenario. I had to do it not only for myself but the sake of my younger siblings who where also living in the same house!
Jeez, where i reside, at 19 many men and women are married and run their own families. Even if you are been sponsored in school by a parent who is behaving perversely it doesn't mean you cannot exercise thinking ability. I just don't understand!! Been financially dependent on your parent is an economical issue not a mental one!
