Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Dear Jobseekers, What's Your Pain And How Can You Be Helped? by mayana(m): 2:06pm On Jan 20, 2017
It is tough when you have nothing that generates any kind of income. I have been there so I know. But never give up, keep trying. But for the wait not to be too long, get yourself busy. Improve on your service to God and be active in spiritual activities. While waiting, You can learn a skill, any skill. If you are serious and determined you may not need money to do this. If you can sell, why not try a sales job. I wish you all success.

PART TWO: Afolabi finally got home at about 12:15am and headed straight to bed. By 5:00am he was up again. His wife Bunmi obviously still worried enquired why her husband came home that late last night. Traffic was crazy he said, as he made his way to the bathroom. He acted like all was normal, did his usual morning routine and by 5:45am, he was set for work. Honey I'm set, he said softly. Ok dear she replied, as she walked to meet him in the sitting room. Here is your food flask, handing him his flask loaded with food. Thanks dear he said, after whiCh he kissed her softly and left home. As she saw him off to the door, she knew something was amiss. Something isn't right with her dear Afolabi she muttered. Afolabi main while left home more confused. He couldn't summon the courage to tell his wife what had happened and also didn't have a clue where he was heading. He just had to leave the house. At about 7am he got to a newspaper stand and he joined the band wagon. They argued just about everything there, from sports to politics and religion e.t.c. After about 3 hours there he decided to call a friend named Florence. Florence is an ex girl friend, a big babe with lots of money and connection. She can help me get a job he said. Just so you Know, Afolabi has a long history with women and alcohol. He lost his latest job because his boss found out he was sleeping with his wife. But Afolabi it seems was not done with women. He booked an appointment to meet Florence at Mama Cass an eatery around Opebi. When it was 6pm he decided it was time to home.
Literature / Story: Life Of Afolabi by mayana(m): 2:18pm On Sep 03, 2016
PART ONE: From V.I, Afolabi trekked all the way to 3rd mainland bridge. Tired and confused, he sat down watching vehicles pass by. He then looked towards the heavens like he was seeing some one. And then with his head facing the ground, tears slowly fell out his eyes. Lord whhyy me, why now, he cried. With his teary eyes, Afolabi looked behind him and saw the vast atlantic ocean, then at ones thoughts of suicide crossed his mind. Let me just end it ones and for all he said, after all what is life if I cannot take of my family. Afolabi Oluwabukunmi is a young man in his mid 30s. He has a pretty wife and 3 lovely kids. He has just lost job, but not for the first time, but for the second time in the space of 5 years. How will he face his wife and kids and explain to them that he lost his current job for a similar reason he lost the previous one. Who will employ him in this recession? How will he pay his rent and children's school fees? With so many questions and no answers Afolabi got up and screamed no no no I must end it here. But as he was about plunging into the sea, his blackberry bold 5 phone rang, reluctantly he picked up, yes what? he said angrily, without checking who was calling. Sweet heart it's me Bunmi. Bunmi is Afolabi's wife. It's past Eleven honey where are you? The wife it seems made that call at the right time. Afolabi checked his watch, it was quarter passed Eleven, picked up his Armani suit boarded a bus and went home.

Legendary Nigerian footballer, Rashidi Yekini2 days ago, We shared the heartbreaking news of late football legend, Rashidi Yekini aged mother, who sell bread to sustain, Its was such a Sad news, Read HERE Well-meaning Nigerians have started drumming support for the mother of Nigerian Legendary football star, Rashidi Yekini after news broke that she is now selling bread to survive. In a wonderful show of affinity, a small group of Nigerians have set the ball rolling as they have embarked on a humanitarian programme to help the mother of legendary football star, Rashidi Yekini. Rashidi Yekini’s mother selling breadThis is coming after news broke that the mother of the late Nigerian superstar has been in financial difficult forcing her to sell bread just to survive. According to information shared by Suraj Tunji Oyewale, Founder of JARUSHUB, he along with a few others have decided to take the bull by the horn to assist the poor woman. He has also called on other well meaning Nigerians to help lift this woman who gave birth to one of Nigeria’s foremost footballers. Kind-hearted Nigerians visited the woman at her homeGiving details of the rescue mission, Oyewale stated: PROJECT MAMA YEKINI This is Alhaja Sidikat, mother of former best footballer in Africa, Rashidi Yekinni, who died 4 years ago. According to Sahara Reporters, she’s struggling for living, selling bread. I know everyone has their own personal and family challenges and things are tough everywhere, but I want to champion the raising of N50,000 for this woman. I’m from Offa, and Ira, Rashidi’s hometown where the woman is, is just a stone-throw away from Offa. I know that a good number of my friends here live in Offa, can I have 2 people to volunteer to go and see this woman and confirm this story. Pls inbox me. After the two people have verified, they will send the report with pictures to me and I share here. We will embark on fund raising. Just 50k. After we raise the money, we will get people on ground (i.e our Offa and environs-based friends here) to deliver to her, with pictures just as proof. I nominate one of our active and reputable friends here, Femi Olabisi, Registrar of Offa COE, as Field Champion to lead the delivery of the money to her. We should do this in 1 week. I propose this timeline. Saturday & Sunday (8-9th May): Getting volunteers to verify.Monday (10th): Volunteers (2) visit to verify and report back.Tuesday – Thursday (11th-12th): Fund raising – Donations and contribution. Target is 50k.Saturday, 15th: Delivery of the money to herSunday: Post-project report. More suggestions are welcomed. AFTERTHOUGHT: Or will it be better to get a shop for her and stock it But will 50k do that LIKE us on Facebook Follow us on Twitter Join our BBM Channel

Nairaland / General / Re: Guys Are Cheat by mayana(m): 7:27pm On Jan 03, 2007
when a guy cheats on his girlfriend,he usually does so with some one else's girlfriend or another man's wife. I think women are bigger cheats.
