Fujiyama: I dont understand what you mean by "What does that make you"? Except your certificate has security features on it that can not be easily copied then I dont expect anyone in authority to confirm the authenticity of a copy without checking their records to validate what was presented which is even a copy of the original. This is why you have document verification organizations. |

Chinjo2: I graduated from a University in the UK years ago and was issued a certificate which I scanned to keep a softcopy (I do with all documents). I misplaced the original and requested a new one from the same university, paid the fees and was issues a new one by the same university in the same year and signed by different people. I think that the question should be and remain "Did he attend and graduated from the university?" Note that I have no political affiliation to anybody but want to share my knowledge and experience. 13 Likes 2 Shares |

Op, everyone will tell you different reason for migrating but i suggest that we try not to generalize. I decided to move then not because I want to be on the Forbes rich list but because I want a very good quality of life. Note that I had a job and pay was quite good but I was a government on my own as I had to provide everything so the quite good pay at the end of the day was not that good. I needed a better quality of life badly, I needed time more than money, I needed rest badly that I migrated. Now, I wake up at about 7am, leave my home at 7:45AM to catch the 8:15 train to resume work at 9am. I leave work at 17:30 and I am back home latest 18:30. My children attend some of the best schools in England and I don't pay a penny on school fees. I spend quality time with my family everyday. I have dinner at 7pm. I don't have generator(s), no business with "UP NEPA". I don't pay security levy, I have time to think about things and ways that I can improve. My prayer points are more precise because my taxes provides those things that I use to pray for. These things might seem very minor, but they are big deal to me. I don't want to be on Forbes list and not be able to take a walk or cycle with my children in the park. I just want a very good quality of life. 18 Likes 2 Shares |

money121: I think that it is only right to come give feedback on the work that Eng. Ayyub and team did on my project. Before I contacted him, I had gotten quote from a carpenter on the quantity of wood. I contacted Eng. Ayyub and asked if he could recommend a carpenter and I sent him the roof plan which he sent to the carpenter. The carpenter came back with just over half the quantity of wood that I was quoted to my surprise. I decided to go with his carpenter, bought the wood and he did the work completed with the exact quantity of wood that he asked for. I then got back to Eng. Ayyub for measurement of the stone coated roof which he provided promptly and then I made payment. The next day, the installers were on site as promised and the work was done neatly without any issue. He even kept me updated with pictures on the progress of work. Note that in all of the transaction, we were just chatting on WhatApp and he delivered the job as expected. If he continues like this, I think he is no way near how successful he can become 1 Like |

Hello, I have a building that has gotten to roofing stage. I have tried contacting some of the core members that I have seen here but no response. Is Money121 still into roofing? Please can anyone recommend a trustworthy supplier? 2 Likes |

I have seen several building and designs and want to know why the roof is always so high. Is there a structural reason for this or its just aesthetics? Does the roof have to be that high if the space underneath is not used? 1 Like |

its sad to read a message like this from a young man trying to be the best and applying himself. Please do not be discouraged or depressed. Its a phase that will pass but here is what I advise that you do. As much as I agree that the certificate might not earn you your daily bread, we also have to bear in mind that the same certificate might earn you what you live on. I don't want you living a life of regret as a result of something that was not in any way your fault. So I suggest that you pay the fee to have your script re-marked even if that is what it will cost you to get what you rightly deserve. Wishing you the very best |

Hello, I have been reading the property section on Nairaland for years now as I am interested in investing in property in Nigeria. I am looking at a house of 4 Flats - 3 Bedroom Each. My area of interest when it comes to buying is on the mainland (Ojodu, Surulere etc). I am also considering the option of building if I can procure land around OPIC. I will prefer to build but need to have an idea of the range of the cost. I don't not have plan or land just yet but I will appreciate if I can get an indication of price for a 4 Flat. I will really appreciate inputs from experienced builders in the house. Buy or Build? What do you think? |

Hello All, Before you start thinking of which school is good and which one is not, it is important you know the reason why you want IT. If you are able to say for sure that you want IT, then the school you attend might not be totally important. Most times, people want to do IT because they think they will get more money and open up several job opportunities for them. I must say that truly it does but it requires a lot of hard work and dedication. I have been an IT instructor for several years and found out that 90% of students in Nigeria just want IT because they can make more money been IT professionals. Once they start the classes, they realise that it entails a lot of hard work, dedication and self discipline which they can not cope with and just simply run!!!!!!!!! I knew i wanted IT and attended NIIT in year 2000. If you ask me, i will say NIIT is the best training institute in the country as i have been working as an IT professional with the knowledge i got from the Centre in Surulere for over 6 years now. I will advise you join NIIT, read and research alot, be willing to hear from experienced professional especially your instructor, share ideas with friends. Please dont just pick up materials, read and then read cheat sheets and just pass the exams. I have been oppotuned to interview people for jobs with loads of certifications and found out that they are very good with theories but not practicals that is required to get the job done. In conclusion, i will recommend NIIT because i gained immensly by attending the institute. 1 Like |
