Politics / Re: Labour Movement Worth Dying For, Says Ajaero After Visit To Police by Mear23: 12:26pm
If you were the one, will you go there alone??
I wonder why people like you are taking delight in government clamping down on perceived enemies.
Tomorrow, the same you will still shout Nigeria is bad if tables turn to your side

mustyNEMESIS:
We play too much in this country.

An individual was invited for questioning by the police, instead of him to submit himself for questioning alone and as an individual, he went with the whole of the union body. Just because he is the union president. Imagine for a minute this person happens to be the president of the country, what would happen?

Yet, these are the same set of people that will accuse the government of corruption. Now, what do you call this?

They were even threatening to go on strike if detained? Yet, he has people supporting him…. And this same of people will turn around to call the country a “failed state”.

Can you plant okra and expect to harvest apple?

Nigeria as a whole is a reflection of its citizens, period.

Let him go for electrical and electronics engineering, it’s very broad so he will have a lot of options when he wants to specialize. Second choice should be mechanical engineering.

Properties / Re: Lagos Govt Revokes All Existing Building Permits by Mear23: 11:52pm On Jul 28
Exactly, we have the law, but the implementation is so poor

abbey621:

Both solutions will be difficult to implement without a serious government, Nigeria is blessed with laws, proper enforcement has always been our albatross!
Properties / Re: Lagos Govt Revokes All Existing Building Permits by Mear23: 2:28pm On Jul 28
abbey621:

No need for that, we can look at countries like the USA or UK where building codes are easily accessible. An inspector is required to certify that the building satisfies all the codes all the way down to the smallest ones. These inspectors are bonded by insurance and with each signature they are putting not only their livelihood at risk but their freedom as well.

Some inspectors have been jailed for bribery schemes and outright negligence, now the entire process is much more credible and collapsing building is a very rare occurrence.

You are right, however, this is obtainable in an ideal society where people are held accountable for their actions.
In Nigeria where common interest is usually set aside for personal gain such may be too difficult to implement.
Properties / Re: Lagos Govt Revokes All Existing Building Permits by Mear23: 1:39pm On Jul 28
Lagos state and Nigeria as a whole are not ready to stop this incessant building collapse.
Approval alone does not validate quality, after all the approving team are not part of supervision team and by virtue of their role, they might not be present on site all the time.
Experience has shown that many people have "big plan with small budget".

If you ask me, I will say one of the best way to prevent the menace of building collapse is by asking the prospective house owner to come along with their budgets (BoQ) duly prepared by a Certified Quantity Surveyor or any other recognised cost consultant.

Phones / Which Call Recording App Is Best Suited For Samsung A04 by Mear23: 12:28pm On Mar 23
Good Day Nairalander
I noticed my phone, Samsung galaxy A04 has been without call recording options.
I have been managing it like that until today. I woke up today to the reality of recording some important calls today for reference purposes.
This development had push to check Google store and galaxy store for a good call recording to no avail.
Please can anyone recommend a good call recording app or better still how I can activate call recording on samsung galaxy a04..

For every actions there must be a consequence.... God is real and hence he gave power and knowledge in the area you mentioned so that those in that category can provide a temporary solution here on earth.

Pastors too have their taste and preferences. Real pastors don't marry anyhow.

You are very correct. However, the problem did not end here, getting a structural engineer or an Architect to give u professional advice relating to construction, is not really a good deal. Getting a Quantity Surveyor's advice too is really necessary because while others offer their advice based on your dream, a Quantity Surveyor's advice will be based on your pocket.
This will save a client from a lot of issues.

Please read your bible very well

which arguement do you want me to suppirt with the bible?
Religion / Re: Chris Oyakhilome: Don't Send Any Of Your Wives Away If You Become Born Again by Mear23: 1:01pm On Mar 10
I believe you are a Christian, please support your argument with Bible verses

MiddleDimension:

That'a not the issue at hand. The issue is that it is not only wrong, but ungodly to put aside any of your wives because you claim you are now born again.

The bible never said that, christians ahould aeriously ask themselves where they got that idea from that a man should out aside one of his wives if he become born again.

Is it not a sin to do what God has not tod you to do? why christians accept to teach that falsehood is what is beyond me.

If you disagree with Oyakhilome, then put forward your arguement and show that they are superior to his. That is fair enough, right?

If you belong to a church and your church keep asking you for donations so as to keep the church owned University in operation, what would be ur disposition??, you can imagine you donating for the staff salary, equipments and fittings for the school
The truth of the matter is, it's not an easy task to run a School...
The earlier you know this the better

desiredhome:

For your information, any church that collect all manner of donation without giving back to the society is a fraudster,.......
Does deeper life church or any of the churches you mentioned have schools that only the rich can afford?.....
Religion / Re: Budget Parts Of Your Offerings To Feed Poor, Unemployed– Kumuyi tells Christians by Mear23: 2:14pm On Mar 03
For you information, it is not all pastors that extort their members.. One of such is the case of deeper life, and many other churches like Chosen, Dunamis, etc.
Before, rushing to comment, do proper due diligence next time.

Haters of truth...... Same message DaddyFreeze has been preaching.......

DaddyFreeze and so many positive thinking Nigerians, at home and abroad have been speaking about the scam being perpetrated by these fake pastors (pastorprenours) yet a lot gullible Nigerians will insult them.....
