daemperor1: It is not an error. For any price movement to occur, FO needs a single trade of at least 10,000 units (at once) to happen at a particular price. This means that apart from the opening trade at 194.9, no other trade has happened with more than 10,000 units at once. To play this game, you must know the rules. I am not by this recommending FO. I already sold and collected my 15%. 3 Likes |

FO Low is still 194.90. |

Thunderlicious: Funny enough, millions of units are changing hands @0.6 and these are the last significant trades on the floor so far. Every other trade @0.66 has been less than 50,000 units. Except someone sells minimum of 50,000 units to the current bidders @0.66, there is a high risk that the market will close @0.6. On the other hand, the guys who are trading @0.6 behind the scenes may be the big winners if it closes today @0.66 ie Instant 10%. These are the men in black!!! ![]() ![]() ![]() |

fxuser: I agree with you but if you look at it from another perspective, a big bank with with very strong brand position, close to historical low price and a dose of bad news around it may return higher in the long term than similarly big banks at prices way higher than their historical low and a lot of good news around them in the LONG TERM. Short term may favour Zee and GTB especially because of their interim dividends and wonderful performance. There won't be any major surprises when they release great results so they will probably rise 10 or 20%. But If FBNH begins to show signs of recovery , the market may react more strongly and the price may rise appreciably probably up to 50%. The key ratio that will determine the fate of FBNH is NPL ratio. If they have sufficiently restructured their loans, good for them. For the risk taker, FBNH will definitely be on the watchlist especially where the price is still below N3.8. Note: This is NOT a recommendation to buy FBNH at all because I know their oil and gas obligors are in even worse shape than they were in last year due to the outage of one of Nigeria's major export line for most of Q1 and throughout Q2. It will take a huge miracle for them to surmount the NPL problem because we are talking about ZERO production here not even about the oil price. To make matters worse, they are exposed to massive bad loans in pounds and dollars. How bad can it get? Disclosure: I do not have a single unit of FBNH today but I will definitely load it if I find a good reason to do so. 4 Likes 2 Shares |

daemperor1: I think your plan is a good plan. It is wise to move on with small gains but don't feel bad if UCAP cruises on. FO is a good play also. Enjoy. 1 Like |

UCAP delivered as expected. Whether Mr. Market will respond accordingly remains the subject of another discussion. 2 Likes |

Rexceedo: NSE stocks dont obey all these rules. A stock that is leaving the car park hardly gives warning signs except you are an insider. Before you know it, the stock is on full bid and the next time it is available, 50% profit has been made. By the time you finally get it to buy, it goes on full offer! You just have to make sure you are on board before the bus takes off. Alternatively, if you want to focus on companies that have been stable over the years eg Nestle, Total, GTB, zenith etc, Wait patiently for them at their 52 week lows and sell after you have made reasonable profit. Imagine Zenith was N8 in January! Mad price In any case, you need a lot of patience. 11 Likes 1 Share |

I was shocked to read that Zenith Bank "only" gave Fayose N200m after he had won the governorship election! I can only guess they must have given other governors and politicians who won elections similar amounts (and even more!). Ekiti is a very small state. How much will they give people like Ambode? Most of these banks spent billions on the elections. All of these monies could have come to shareholders as dividends. Chai diaris God ooooo.... |
