Health / Re: FG To Ban Private Practice By Doctors In Public Service by mempsi: 5:07pm On Oct 11, 2017
A health minister once said it is only in nigeria that public hospital pays better salary than private hospital.
So, the problem is not salary, it is selfishness.

tiwiex:

If they were well paid and we had enough doctors, it won't be an issue. Everything this government talks about is force force. Ban, arrest etc. Some of those practices are even in d interest of d common man. I am not against d idea. Makes sense. But are they well paid?
Health / Re: FG To Ban Private Practice By Doctors In Public Service by mempsi: 5:02pm On Oct 11, 2017
Minister himself has a private hospital. i believe this is not his idea. hope this can be achieved cause it will solve 50% of nigeria's health sector problems.
Politics / Re: Today Marks President Buhari's 100 Days Out Of Nigeria For Medical Leave by mempsi: 12:25pm On Aug 15, 2017
What will it cost FG to equip a Medical center that will take care of our ailing president?
If you consider the sum amount being spent by sai Buhari for the medical tourism he has embarked upon for the last 100days, I believe the sum can equip or set up a good medical care for him here in Nigeria.
I want to appeal to sai Buhari to make this a sacrifice and stay home for his treatment.
Nigeria has world recognized medical consultants that can give care to our dear president Buhari.

I wish him quick recovery.

Politics / Re: Senate President Saraki Lied In His Official Election Forms - Sahara Reporters by mempsi: 4:34pm On Aug 07, 2015
This is what over-ambition can do. nobody might have dug anything about B. Saraki if he had listen to the voice of wisdom when vying for the senate president seat. He who comes into equity must come with good hands, Saraki has dug his own grave and i think it is time for him to just resign for all these digging up to stop, otherwise more revelations on the way.
Health / Re: FG Should Stop Doctors From Establishing Private Clinics by mempsi: 1:25pm On Jul 23, 2014
i am just tired about doctors shouting they own the patient. where is it written in the hospital scheme of work about this claim.
The simple truth is hospital own the patients not doctors, docs shld only conduct their own job on the patient. doctor should not be over obsessive, just do your own part of the care. shikena.

Note: i will advice doctors to resume work immediately or face God wraths and further disgrace from the nigerian populace.
Islam for Muslims / Re: Can A Muslim Work In An Interest-seeking Bank by mempsi: 4:33pm On Oct 12, 2013
My brother reposition ur intentions and accept this bank job. Nigeria is not an islamc state. everybody directly or indirectly deal with banks or usury if we refuse to work in all these places where do we. Allah knows best.

Can sb give companies that are not dealing with these banks or with usury directly or indirectly?

Politics / Re: Nigeria At 53 - What Has Been Your Story So Far? by mempsi: 2:35pm On Oct 02, 2013
OjaP: Though we are not there yet. But with prayers, hard-work and sincerity on the part of our leaders, we will surely get to the promised land.
Nigeria is so difficult to rule due to the diversity in culture, language and religion. So, it may take more than we expect for us to fully become a developed nation.

We are always in the habit of running the government or the folks at the helms of affairs down each time we have the opportunity, this is not so good. While it is good to criticize, let us also make it a habit to do it constructively. Whether you are a Christian, a Muslim or even a traditionalist, let us all make it a duty to remember the nation called Nigeria in our prayers whenever we call on God or Allah. God can give us incorruptible leaders who will turn every thing around for us. How many times in our lives have we all said "God bless Nigeria"? All we do is speak negative of the country not knowing that prayers can move mountains. I know that one day, very soon, we will get there.

I wish my dear country a happy independence day. All roads lead to Houston, Texas this weekend to celebrate. Happy 53rd Naija.

Nigeria is blessed with abundant resources- Natural and Human, these are given to us freely, what else do we need to succeed as a nation or to be among the best nations in the world. God does answer our prayers, we only need to put good and sincere actions forth to appreciate HIS love. How constructive do we treat our leaders that steal our resources, peculate our money and render the human resources useless. They don’t treat us constructively, they treat us without fear of God and they don’t care about any happenstance except for themselves. I think what God need from us is for us to STAND UP against them-devils. Every Nigerians should employ everything he has to make this nation a better one next independence. Nigeria is not difficult to govern because of different cultures, languages or religions, it is our die hard leaders- politicians in and out of government- they are using these to torment us, it is not only in Nigeria that we are having these. So the best way to treat devils is to crucify(fight, condemn, force out) them. If we continue to pray for better Nigeria with these devils in power and no meaningful action, my brother there is no MIRACLE.

Education / Re: NASU Begins Nationwide Strike Tomorrow by mempsi: 12:54pm On Oct 02, 2013
ademipeju: BADAN — PUBLIC universities system in the country is heading for a total shutdown as members of the Non-Academic Staff Union of Educational and Associated Institutions, NASU, will tomorrow begin a nationwide strike to protest two months unpaid salaries by government.

NASU members who are expected to shut down all social amenities such as power and water supplies, libraries among others, will join their counterpart in the Senior Staff of Nigerian Universities, SSANU, who had since Monday began an indefinite strike over same issue.

It will be recalled that members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, have been on strike since July 1, paralyzing academic activities in all public universities.

Total shutdown, what a country! we are really celebrating 53 years of independence. If these Ogas at the top wouldn't find a solution, they should plz go on sabbatical and never return for good.

General Secretary of NASU, Prince Peters Adeyemi told Vanguard in Ibadan, Oyo State, that members would definitely begin an indefinite by tomorrow unless government paid today.

According to him, “It is sad and unfortunate, but NASU members in all public universities nationwide will down tools until government pay them their salaries. The only thing that can stop the strike is if government pays tomorrow (today). Our members have been going through pains in since and have been doing their work diligently. But the government has refused to pay their salaries for reasons best known to the government. That is the issue. So, we are starting strike by Thursday. It is unfortunate, but that is the reality.”

Members of SSANU had Monday commenced a nationwide strike to protest the stoppage of their salaries for two months by the Federal Government.

General Secretary of SSANU, Promise Adewusi, SSANU had while announcing the commencement of the strike, asked members not to return to work until a counter directive was given to them.

Adewusi said the union took the decision following its letters to the vice-chancellors in various universities, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator Anyim Pius Anyim, Ministers of Labour and Productivity, Chief Emeka Wogu and Education, Nyesom Wike as well as the Executive Secretary, National Universities Commission, Professor Julius Okojie.
