I agree with you. It is very bad. Very bad.
By the way, can you tell me what you mean by The few approvals is just "oju aye." Like they gave them because of people's opinions. Please, educate me on that cool phrase. I love it lol

What I meant by oju aye approval is, they approved 1 out of 100 applicants so Nigerians will believe the embassy still issued visa

WELL, I think they are, at this critical stage, looking for legitimate, very significant reasons/purposes for people to visit the USA. Did you mention Easter Celebration or something significant or just vacation in NY in April?

Me thinks the embassy just want "high-value" visitors to the USA. Coz I believe on every account, ur qualified for that visa! Maybe not just over the purpose of your visit at the coming moment in time. Do u understand what I'm driving at?

What do you mean by critical stage?

With the situation at that embassy right now, I believe Nigerians passport is blacklisted, reason why I said that is the man before me came for renewer and his last visit to US was last year and spend just 10 days, he was denied with no reason, everybody was surprised. You will clearly hear the conversations between applicants and the VO.
The few approval is just oju aye lol grin

Out of over 50 applicants before me were rejected, do you think none of them have good reasons to visit ? What of students ?

It's well. Please, what's the purpose of the 10-day visit to NY? Did you want to go on vacation this winter?

Yes vacation
Scheduled for April and that's not winter season.

I had my interview moments ago.

Vo: Good morning
Myself: morning
Vo: Where are you going in the US
Myself: New york
Vo: How long?
Myself: 10 days
Vo: What do you do
Myself: I own a business, I sell foreign feed additives for poultry, pig and catfish and some agricultural machinery.
Vo: Have you travel outside the country before
Myself: Yes
Vo: where?
Myself: Canada and south Africa
Vo: What do you do in Canada.
Myself: was there on vacation last year for 2 wks and also studied there in 2014
He just checked the visa very briefly, like he had decided already, I told him my expired study permit is here if he will like to check but said never mind,
Types a few minutes and asked Are you married?
Myself: Yes
Vo: how many kid
Myself: one
Next was sorry I cant approved your visa right now.

I dont feel bad because with the rejections I saw today, it shows that embassy dont just want to issue visa anymore, I'm scheduled for 6:45am and I just stayed at the back to see the situations, out of 50 people in front of me none was given, the reciprocity fee cubicle was empty.
I think Nigerians should chill for that embassy for now please.

Infact my interview is even longer, those interviewers was making the queue going really fast, just two questions next is rejection paper.

If you have a virgin passport and thinking of applying just keep that money, you have no chance.

Those that have travel histories to some Asian and African countries, your chances is very very slim maybe none sef.

Note: my last interview before this was 2017 which was also rejected,
I was asked almost same questions then but the lady said I wont approve you now but you can reapply anytime if you want, I just chill US embassy and apply to Canada which was approved in just 3 days
I even have valid 2yrs UK visa

As for me, I'm done with the US embassy, no reason for the rejections, the rejection paper said no tie which I'm sure I have, Good business, family, assets, travel histories and more.
Or maybe because of my young age, I have no idea.
I look very young and have no intention to stay at all, even my vacation to Canada last year for 2 weeks I got tired with calls from clients, cant leave the business for one months sef.

Good morning to everyone and the gurus in the house!! Is been long I had from Ozzy on this forum or you’re already in Toronto Canada!

Well I got biometric validity on the 15 of this month and today mark 60 days of my waiting after submission! Gurus in the house! What next for me? Am at final stage of my application or still waiting for another mail update!! Please I’d appreciate everyone help!
Thanks!!!

You mean you already got correspondent letter of biometrics since jan 15, decision is already been made on your application and I'm scared of the outcome.

On a normal ground, after biometric validity dropped passport request msg follows or both msgs dropped at the same time.

Well just be positive

Relocating to Canada with family is really a tough process compare to school visa,bt as long as your bank statement is fat you shouldn't worry too much
I will advice you to budget at least 10 million naira, the larger your family the the higher your bank statement should be!!

Canada Express entry is not only about money....

Both are good locations and I stand to be corrected, both also have good flight offers sometimes... so you do research on flight cost as well in your cost planning.

I have only passed by birmingham, so I can't say much about it. However I have been to London severally, so here's my advice.

depending on your max budget for accommodation, sight seeing and the like, I would suggest using booking.com and checking these areas - leyton, croydon, ilford or if you don't mind using an accommodation shared facilities, then london central is also a good choice. for leyton, its close to straford, so you would spend less on transport and there are lots of shopping malls at stratford as well as sight seeing. Its also easier to get to central london from stratford. Google on places to see in london..the site visit london has good advise on places to see and even on a budget as well. croydon is also a nice location as well and the rates are relatively okay. when we stayed there, there was a daily local market close by and all the big stores you would find at oxford street or even stratford. Also the two train stations were close by and we were able to save money on transport and feeding as well. I really enjoyed myself there.
If travelling alone, you can plan for 400 - 500 on accommodation.. looking at 3 stars lodgings.. however, if you don't mind the price, then choose from 4 stars and above. for feeding, depending on your preference, either you buy food outside or you cook. if you plan to cook, then I advise you get a self catering accommodation..if not, then a hotel that at least comes with breakfast, so you will only sort out your lunch and dinner. Fair warning.. you will spend quite a lot that way! for transportation, once you arrive the airport, try to buy an oyster card at the ticket stand because you need to pay for transport in the city. for communication, get a lyca mobile or lebara sim at any asian shop and top up.

That's it for me. Others can chip in with their advice or if you can try, read up some of the previous pages to get more information. Enjoy your vaction. Prepare for the cold and now the season of sales and discounts is over, so you would most likely see new goods on display but only at original price.

Thank you very much for the insights... I'm so grateful!

For flight ticket I saw 235k emirate airline Lagos - London, is that reasonable or can i still get cheaper ones?

For the cold,,,, I think I'm used to it or is it colder over there than Toronto?

For food...... I'm too lazy to cook, will prefer eatery, I hope nija restaurants plenty for London o grin

Well, it depends on your budget, the city in question and how much you really want to spend.
both options are good, it's only with airbnb, you must pay immediately... but with hotels, you can get the ones with free cancellation up to 1 day before arrival..

Thank you so much for the advice.
Funds is not an issue.

As a single guy planning to visit the UK for 10days next month, first time trip to the UK.

Which city is the best to stay.

Note: I'm coming all alone, I dont have any relatives or friends over there.
Is Airbnb is a better option to explore the city or I should just do hotel?

We plan to land in YYZ next week but we are wondering whether or not we have to get the yellow card as we are using Egyptair.

Do not know the process and I just watched a landing story where someone said she had to get the yellow card.

Please, do we need one and if yes what’s the procedure for getting it?

Thank you.

Hi My Fellow Australians

Happy New Year!

Is anyone relocating (or planning to relocate) to Sydney? My family and I and happy to host you for a few days till you find your accommodation and generally settle down. In fact you will be welcomed with hot, spicy Jollof and cold orange juice, with the possibility of dodo, and of course all for free.

What is in it for us? Nothing, or should I say the blessings of God.

So why are we doing this? Well, let's just say, it is our own way of giving back and serving God this year. When we arrived a fellow Nigeria we barely knew took us in, accommodated us and feed us for FREE. So yes we are giving back.

Why Should You Trust Us:
Good question. Unfortunately, I don't have a convincing answer. As Nigerians I know we know SCAM is real. But I am happy to answer questions to ease your fears.

Family Composition
We live toward Western Sydney
Family of 3
You get a room to yourself.

Seriously

U are blessed....

Hi everyone in this great platform. My husband and I are seeking for greener pastures. We r on the express entry route but we d scores are blowing up and we have really tried on IELTS. We just want to seek other means. I need sincere answers as I have questions to ask about this visitors Visa. 1. Do we need travel experience to apply fr this visa as we have no travel history at the moment 2. Can we get a work permit with this visa. 3 can we continue our pr application process while on this and also after the visa has been approved 4 what are the benefits of visitors Visa eg are we going to benefit from health insurance and some little benefits before pr comes. We want to try this route cs the only option now is gettn an employment or have an experience in Canada dat will go a long way in boosting our crs scores as we don't have any relative whatsoever. Plz I will like this questions to be answered as it will give us an headway in our plans. Thanks in advance.

Best is to continue your PR application process, getting tourist visa while you have a pending PR application is almost zero.
Travel history is also very important for Canada tourist visa.

You will be applying for a tourist visa since you said u have no relative over there to invite you

That embassy is now a joke grin

Okay sir, copied!

I got into Toronto a few days ago, on holidays, will be in the US for some time too from next week, [/b]come and see "saner climes" na. I just picked up my gadget now to update myself about home. I'm phased, annoying news everywhere. Amotekun, what about it? What happened in IMO today please? I just hope I'm able to see my kids through Secondary School before shipping them out of Nigeria to their "homes", I pray. I have put too much in Nigeria, it saddens me today. Government has never put bread directly on my table, an enabling environment created by them in time past deserves my appreciation today when I reason them side by side this current one.

I won't waste energy right now saying much, but I will just say you guys are the biggest problem of Nigeria, Buharists particularly! Yeah, Nigeria is messed up long ago, but Buhari is the greatest disservice done our dear nation. Nigeria's "turn-around-maintenance" after him will take decades. Kill and shelve that nonsense hope of a better Naija, only a miracle will make that happen, please....

I have been to those places you mentioned too and I know how it is.
Nigeria is a third world country and the country has been messed up right from independence.
I know this country will get it right one day just dont know how soon.

Long time I stopped putting blames on Nigeria, Nigeria is blessed.

Nigerians are the problem both locals and those in diaspora. Our dear nation will even be ashamed of its peoples

All I have to tell you Buharists on this thread, is that, the way Embassies are treating us as at this day is a direct reflection of the hopes and prospects of that dream Nigeria we all have, basically. Deceive yourselves all you will. A brighter Nigeria post GMB is gonna be a lot of work no doubt!

As long as e no kill una, e no go fit still kill us. Abi una get special market, roads, schools, hospitals, electricity, etc wey una dey use wey different from the ones wey the rest of us dey use? You lot know the pains you'd never admit in the open for that FAILURE, you'd prefer to rather pretend, suffering and smiling, hoping for one elusive future of a better Naija!

I have noticed that all of us that know we can easily jettison Naija and run off when the chips are down actually make up the bulk of those with these false hopes, it's a bad one please. I can afford to do much for my family if push comes to shove, I have prepared the grounds for them, I have paid some reasonable dues for their future, they may not even be needing me that much, but how about the generality our people? Oh, please! Please all of you, please!!!

I noticed you always put blame on the present administration
Guess what? You are wrong.

Nigeria is messed up long time ago.

As for me, I have courage and believe this lively country will be better one day

Hi everyone

This might not be the most popular opinion lately but please stop this illegal migration. No one will tell you the truth ooooooo. A lot of illegal immigrants are suffering. They are in serious bondage. They earn chicken change, they can't fly to anywhere , they are stuck in a particular environment. Simply put, it's not worth it. Don't jeopardize your future over the so called American dream. Hustle well here and just go for holidays. After my recent travel experience, I weep for my people. I come in peace.

U are very right
Those illegals are in bondage plus real suffering.
