You are wrong bro,my VO gave me the new BA to fund not the old one
there is only one way to know who is right na. Let's reach germany. I mailed coracle, cause I funded with them, and they explained this to me. They gave me the option of toping up if i want to. This screenshot is from Xpatrio website.

You have to top up. Even if you manage to get visa with €8,640 when you get to Germany the foreign office will ask you to top up before they issue you resident permit (without resident permit you cannot get a job).
that isn't correct. Visa application's before 1st september. Not residence application before 1st September.

I have noticed it’s essential to top up to the said required amount as long as you’ll be doing your City registration after 1st sept in DE, come winter...
the info on the website says the new amount applies to visa applications from 1st September. I don't think it applies to those that have applied before then.
It's English na. You won't be required to top up if you've applied before 1st sept.

Lol, who be the una abeg, abi you too no follow. Truth dey say it's very bitter, I need not know you either. I only responded based on the contents of your request, after all you didn't state anywhere that you have searched. Don't spoil the bridge that will you will later use some time. All the very best
so even if I didn't state that I have searched, the next thing is to tell me to start doing things myself. Guy, you are rude. Other people answered me, but you were the only rude person. It shows your orientation and upbringing.

Hello, I am new here. please what does a mail stating you should bring travelling insurance mean? Is that a sign that your visa has been approved? Or can it still be rejected? I am going for M.A at BSBI in berlin.
Can I start celebrating?
congrats. That means you are already a German visa holder. Start celebrating. At this point, I don't think you can be rejected again

Please how did you contact the alien office in berlin? I am headed to the same school too. Though different course. Gisma Business school, MSc strategic business management.
Alore:
AM alert!!!

I give all glory to God for guiding me to this path! Also, let me thank you, the ever-supportive Nairalanders. I learnt a lot through this forum.

Course: MSc IT Security Management
School: Arden University Berlin (through GISMA Business School Berlin)
Interview: 5th April
BA confirmation: 29th April (Re-sent with Visa application receipt number in May 17th. Still I didn't get any reply or acknowledgement )
AM: 29th July

TIMELINE (all within this year, 2019):
Jan 23 - Applied for the course
Feb 7 - WhatsApp video interview
Feb 13 - Received Admission Letter
Feb 19 - Received Enrolment Letter from the school addressed to the German Embassy, Lagos for Visa applications. This is upon the payment of €2,000.00 deposit. Balance of €10,000.00 to be paid instalmentaly throughout the course duration.

After this, I spent about 3 weeks almost everyday having sleepless nights (10:30 AM to 2:00 AM in average) clicking and refreshing on the Booking appointment page to get a date for the Visa Interview.

Finally...
April 3rd - About 11:17 PM, Got an interview appointment date for 5th April. Just 2 days interval! I was in panic mode...!!! Should I cancel or not cancel? How do I get all the documents ready? What of flight from South-South to Lagos and back? How do I prepare for the questions?

I posted my confusion on NL and guys encouraged me to go for the interview - nothing happen! grin Thanks aduku1, Armstrong34, tsmith1.

April 4th:
- I couldn't sleep after getting the appointment date, I woke my wife up and we started to arrange my documents and pack... The following morning was printing stuff and photcopying "up and dan" - Visa Application Form, CV, Declaration page, etc. Ha!...No, Primary School Certificate..! I ran to court to swear affidavit...just in case! Na there I parked my car and task force came to carry the car away. See stress! cry I spent the next 2 hours running up and down to recover the car. I pity my wife, she was running up and down to ensure I meet up with time. Lastly, went to do the passport photo. I couldn't remember the passport spec sef. I just told the guy, do the one for USA...! Wrong number!!!... I had to cough out N1000 to snap the correct one at the Park close to the Embassy that interview morning! It was there I also got the pre-paid Courier envelope.

It was almost time for the check-in at the airport. I rushed out of the shop where I was printing the passport photo. Wahala... my car refused to start oh! My wife, sharp woman, started to rebuke the devil and sharply arranged taxi to the Airport. I was lucky to get a seat in the only flight to Lagos for the day!

April 5th - INTERVIEW DAY!
- I got there around 6:05 AM or so.... So, this is the popular Mr. Paulinus!
As we were arranging the document, the man asked for Biodata of 5 years or earlier. I told him it was not in the Checklist. The man looked at me and said I was not serious. "Those other people that have, you want to tell me they don't know what they are doing? Why is your own list special?" I stood my ground oh... Mr. Paulinus saw the checklist I printed from the Embassy website. Na im the man cool down...Lol! But he later got me, when he saw that I didn't have photocopies of my Letter of Motivation. He just packed the documents I had arranged, use rubber band to hold them together and gave them back to me. "My friend get out of here! I can see you are not ready... Shebi you are Mr. Meticulous. So, you didn't see that you are to have 3 copies of all your documents... Don't tell me sorry. You have not offended me" grin. He gave me a small note where he wrote the time I should be back or lose my appointment. Guys, I hurried to the Park and made the photocopies oh. I think it was N100 per copy.

The interview went well and easier than I thought! I was interviewed by the sweet lady in dreadlocks. She is very smart but seemed to be patient with me. They were normal questions we've been seeing here. Don't let me bore you with those... But she told me I would have blocked before coming. I told her it was in process that I didn't know I would get the interview date so early.

THE LONG WAIT FOR AM...

On June 16th, when it was like 10 weeks after the interview, I called the Embassy. The lady that picked said, I should just forget it once I have done my interview. That I should wait for their email. Well, that sound hopeful wink! You don't receive email if your application is rejected, you simply receive your documents back! As at July 1st, the Alien Office in Berlin replied the email I sent to them that they don't have my records. Na so, I told myself, let me just shift my attention to other things I am doing. It is far from easy though!

So, it has taken 16 weeks and 3 days for the AM to come finally, finally!!! It was not easy waiting at all. But God made it to end in praise!!!

So my NL people, please don't give up. Those who are just waiting for AL, they will get it! The AD issue may seem all troubling, confusing, depressing and disconcerting, this too shall pass and you will get your date. And, your efforts will be crowned with the good news of your AM landing in your email! We go dey alright las las in this Germany waka! Thanks all!!!

I believe generally that UK schools are good. Though
Their German campus wont be tuition free. Their masters program is 1 year. I am going for MSc in Gisma business school myself and tuition is 12000 euros. I chose that because my CGP is 2.66, and that is very low when you want to study at any of the free tuition schools especially for a course like mine (Economics /Finance). So if you can afford it, go for it. Advantage is that masters is just 1 year, smaller class size amongst other things. And I think they allow payment in installment

does anyone know about Arden University campus in Berlin? Its a UK University with a campus in Berlin. Got admission for MSc in cybersecurity and need more information about the campus.

Do they verify Ghana stamp.....i think say na normal west Africa country oo.....pls explain to me better if u get idea.
me see taya o. It's not like it's a visa na, it's just a normal border stamp. I doubt that's the reason, because they retained the passport of all the students that interviewed in Abuja yesterday
Travel / Re: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 6 by MicroMo: 9:28pm On Jul 09, 2019
Just the normal Ghana togo, benin, Ivory Coast stamp... that was when I travelled by road last year to ivory coast, and yes they retained my passport
aduku1:

They retained your International passport?
Do you have any other country passport stamp on it?

My interview transcript
Arrived at the embassy in abuja around 7am.
Friendly security men and staff.
I didn't know the woman waiting to interview me will be something else.

So fast forward to the interview

Immediately she saw my passport photograph with Red background, she change am for me o
That my application will be rejected. I sha begged her, and she said if it gets rejected, that I am on my own.
Pleaded with her to let me send another set of passports after the interview, she said no. And you know abuja na, before you even see where to snap passport, you go Don Waka taya, so I decided to just go ahead with the interview

She arranged my documents herself.

She checked my originals, and gave me back. But kept my international passport.

So the interview questions were the normal stuffs

1. What's your course of study
2. Why did you choose this course
3. Of what benefit will this course be to your career
4. What do you know about germany. I told her a lot about german economy, she then said I should say something about Germany politically
5. What do you intend to do after your studies?
6 who is sponsoring your studies?
7. Have you funded?
That's all.

Guys that woman in abuja isn't friendly.
I asked other people at the embassy, and they said the passport photographs doesn't matter that since they took my biometrics, i'm good.

Na God hand I dey so. God help me.

I was born after 1992, and I am using affidavit. You can use either affidavit or npc if you were born after 1992.

Go with what specifically applies to you if you were born before December 13,1992

Here is another one from adenjnr

Just that Jena is a University town and hustle might be difficult there but if you are more interested in academics..... its a good school by all standard.

What work for A might not work for B

Jena is okay for Pauluche but it's not for adenjnr.

My advice to you is that you should try and make friends with Germans and know where the association of Nigerian students is in Jena. Also, join the student group on facebook. With this, you go dey alright las las

I still maintain that if you are knowledgeable in German and you have Jena as a viable option please come because the city is absolutely inexpensive to live in and you will most likely get a student job either in the city or in neighboring cities. Conclusively as people will say ''everyone come life with e own head''.

This emboldened is from Pauluche. He emphasized on German. If you can converse in German language, you will surely get a job in Jena or neighboring cities.

He got an amazon job in Graben then. Maybe you should contact him for more information

we wey dey go berlin, na die we dey be that. I heard berlin is expensive
