The meeting of the Northern Lords.... Best scene! The "you were saying?" look Sansa gave baelish... Priceless! Cercie.... Now, that's how to "change it" for your enemy.

*sigh* These condescending and cocky assertions from the thread's self imposed "class captain", author of the books, director of the show and possibly commander of the unsullied has become rather obnoxious.

Three more episodes to go and in truth, the show has been largely disappointing. You can't keep leading viewers on with cliff hangers at every penultimate episode, make us wait a year and then go back to crawling. I can't stop watching now, but I must say I'm no longer impressed.

And... Interesting theory(copy and paste or not) with H'gar being Arya..... I sure hope it turns out so.

This forum always cracks me up.
Although, quite sad that most can't argue without being condescending.... Still... Interesting board.
And please, by all means.... Continue with the arthur/drogo argument ... I'd like to believe that's why we are here.

I don't get what you are driving at seriously. Bran clearly says "father defeated him" and the 3 eyed raven said "did he?".

He might not have bragged in the real sense of the word but the story in westeros is that Ned stark defeated Arthur. It wasn't only Bran he told the story, he told jamie(i think) also.

There is no inconsistency other than the one you are making up.

Ned can't be held responsible for how people intepreted the story over the years. Ned and dayne were in a fight, Ned came out alive and dayne stayed dead. Only Ned and Reed were present to know how it went. Every other person could have interpreted it to taste and passed it on. Ned on the issue gave credit to Reed. Even though he didn't explain. If bran heard differently, it certainly didn't come from his father. My bet is on his Maester Luwin WHO WASN'T THERE. And about Ned telling it to Jamie, I hardly think so. I can't think of any situation where they could have had the discussion... Certainly not over a bottle of wine.

Not true. They both think of each other fondly.

It will be too much to say "fondly" which is very understandable to dispute , considering their relationship has been ambiguous. But, With keen attention to detail, we can suggest that she had love for him, but not one that could be elaborated on considering her religion "faith" and upbringing (proper lady)
Jon being a bastard must have been confusing for her. It goes against what she knows as "proper". She always referred to him as her "bastard half brother". And from Jon, we learnt she thought him how to talk to girls. I hardly think she must have thought him that in between spitting in his face.
Jon's love for her as his sister can't be doubted because of his loving reputation. On the other hand, it's easy for us to think sansa hated him because she wasn't really a pleasant child and often condescending (basing this on how she relates with her septa) but, when it comes to Jon, I'll have to agree that she did have love for him, just no avenue for expression.
Note that they were in different world's. Jon was always with the swordsmen and his faith was in the old gods like a northerner. while she was with the knitters and her faith was in the "faith" like a southerner.

Why do I have thix feeling that this particular actress acting as "Arya" would soon be changed for a more older Arya cos she is too too young to play the role of an "Avengeful/Assassinating Stark"....in all the 3 young characters of the Starks (Arya, Bran & Rickon), na only she for the past 6yrz wey no change in growth---same stature till date unlike the 2 boys

I get your point but, I strongly doubt that. Besides, if you watched her in the last episode, you'll notice a more mature look and disposition. Size wise, I get. But when they want to make her look like an assassin, the costume team I believe will step up.

My broda, nobody is fighting. You don't know that guys better than i do. He first brought a talk,that there is a guy & thread that predicts game and it come with a price,then he was the one posting FIXED draw matches,when he sees he is not making an headway to dupe newbies he said he is leaving the thread for good. OK, Today he posted his games and blacked out the picks,i did not say nothing,afterwards he came back and said bet won, which is ok but of what benefit?if i don't show the games i play why posting the win? food for thought.

I'd advice you set mind to issues of higher concern. If you get distracted you might compromise your punting skills.... Abeg.... Don't let anyone use reggae to spoil our blues here.

I just came across the bolded. I couldn't compile games cos they'll always be incomplete as volunteers are limited. It's just Sagebiz and yourself that has been contributing. Obviously the other regulars( i don't want to mention names) that come online daily aren't interested in the project. two or three more volunteers need to come on board for the project to be successful.

The thread is notably full of people who wants to show their skills and take the glory.

Many thanks for your time and effort.

That's quite sad... Cause it seemed to be working. Scroll back page 326 and it will bear us witness. Myself and sage were spot on. And your combinations would have made us money with atleast 10points. Even the test day one was a success. Oh well.... I'm available if you wish to give it another shot.

House, here are the games to be reviewed for "the ticket of the day" project day 2.

SOURCE: Most popular bets. It's a mixture of today's and some of tomorrow's games.

TICKET: A
1. Paris SaintG - Lorient
A straight win for PSG isnt worth the points. A no clean sheet for Lorient isnt worth it either. I would say clean sheet for PSG cause Lorient doesnt have what it takes to get any past PSG...but that will be too risky for our project so. lipsrsealed

2. Tottenham - Leicester
One thing is for sure, Tottenham will score. whether they will win eventually is another discussion entirely. So, i'd go for a safe
First team to win either half
@1.30

3. Man City - West Brom
I'm not expecting city to not be able to tidy up west brom. especially after the burnley disappointment. Even With my believe that they have recovered from their down time, I not expecting many goals either. West brom doesnt really let much behind them. I would go for a
Home win and under 4.5
@1.6

4. Newcastle united - Arsenal
Arsenal is a mercurial team. I don't do business with them.

5. Southampton - Burnley
Burnley just beat Mancity...showing absolutely no respect for the league standings. They might still have confidence from that match, so I cant vouch for southampton. But because they both havent been good in front of goal lately, i,d say
under 2.5
@1.7

6. Elche - Valencia
Valencia is a good team and Elche is dedicated to conceding goals. But because Valencia is away and I want us to be safe, i'd say
Second Team to win either half
@1.50

Awaiting the volunteers as agreed.

Thanks.

Wolfsburg is currently on a goal scoring spree so i would say.
Home clean sheet NO @1.22.

Noted. i'm compiling them so i don't litter the thread.

NB: we need two possibilities for a particular pair you picked.

A. Home clean sheet no, B. = ? ?

oh...sorry.

This is a funny game because i believe Wolfburg has all it takes to win. My option B will be a daring Away win and under 4.5 @3.10 but for the sake of the house i'll settle for a double chance win/win @1.22

Your thought is a great one and i really commend it.

If you will permit me, kindly start that project and i'll be dropping my 2 games daily of odds 3 or less and i'm sure others drop theirs too. For your information, the games i'll be dropping will be the top staked games of the day, it will be difficult for one not to have a knowledge about them (if i don't have knowledge about today's game, i'll wait until the day after and the day afterwards).

Kindly let me know your decision .

Thank you.

no harm in trying both options. nice work (Y)

Very well then.

Here is my proposal, I need 6 volunteers openly stating what he or she would like to handle on this project e.g handicap, goals, to qualify and any other betting strategy.

I'll post 6 games daily and they are to be rearranged according to our different skills. I'm only good at win or draw not goals, handicap, etc. Each person chooses what he thinks is best. (I'm not just saying this cos I have been doing it daily and it worked for me. For instance, i have today's game arranged in different ways in 10 different tickets but i'll be constituting a nuisance dropping them here).

The 6 games will be arranged in 3 different ways making up 3 different tickets, everyone would be advised to play all 3 tickets. In the case that 3/3 goes through, that would be great but at least 1 ticket must go through and would cover for any other lost ticket(s). It's a strategy.

Here they are for today;

Ticket 1:
1. Ajax @1.91
2. Besiktas @ 1.91
3. Sevilla @ 2.10
4. Roma @ 2.05
5. Wolfsburg @ 2.50
6. Napoli @ 2.40

Total odds = 94.14

Please, volunteers make yourself available as soon as you see this. Let's start from there. More greens to us all.

Together we achieve more!

sounds like a good idea....although i beg to differ slightly. there are games I come across and I know within me I have absolutely no idea whats going to happen (but hey...thats me...what do i know). if you list the games, you'd be limiting everybody to the provided games. and if the ABSOLUTELY UNEXPECTED happens in a particular match, we all go down in red paint. but if the top punters bring 3 of the games they have the most confidence in....we might get some where. for instance....there are people that post just two games and go green by 10pm. now, imagine you take two games from 5 different people like that. Bet as a single slip or stake singles. I believe the latter will definitely produce a smile.

....just my thought

Too many tickets are daily been dropped it's not anyone's fault. There's no moderator on this thread....i'm ready to abide by any rule as long as it profits the house.

Can someone drop just 6 games daily and we all fine tune it to taste? I can drop the 6 games, if i'm permitted, i can drop the 6 games and we all have our specialty with teams, goals, handicap et cetera. I believe this would work for the house.

House what's your opinion?

I really wish attention could be paid to what is being said here. If the "trusted by general consensus" punters here could drop 3 games each with average 4 odds, I am pretty sure we can come up with at least 18 odds in total. no need for further scrutiny, they have made greens in the past and therefore deserve the benefit of doubt. stake on these games either in singles or accumulated. but it will be termed "slip of the day".

During weekends where we have more games, it could be increased to average 5odds for 4 games each. you can decide to bet on the games as you please, but the idea is to have a single ticket with the punting talent of many. [s]and most importantly, we are basing confidence on the hope that a single punter should not get three games wrong.[/s].
