What's your highest score pls?
You can only use the resurrection wing once in each run and its very expensive. I have bought it twice and used it. I have also used up all the power-ups (what you called extra speed stuff) Any more tips? A friend told me of someone whose highest score is about 4Million. It will be cool to equal and surpass that!

Lord_Reed: Temple Run gets boring after awhile cos its the same stage no matter how far you go while there is always something new in Angry Birds.

Angry Birds FTW!

Temple run all the way, just got it about 3 weeks ago and have been playing it almost daily. My score is almost one million now(997,239 so far.)

Who says the stage is similar? Naaaaaaah, just play on and as you progress, you will discover how different it is, you get to a level (especially around 200,000 to 500,000) when you will see half of your path chopped off, this way, and that way in quick succession, leaving a very narrow strip by the sides, so you have to tilt fast to avoid falling in, not to talk of the many other obstacles.

Only thing I hate is that the six characters have nothing between them, (Scarlet Fox, Barry Bones, Karma Lee, etc) its all down to the player. I spent my hard-earned coins to unlock all of them and I discovered there is nothing distinct about any of them to my advantage. The developers should do something about this in subsequent updates.
Religion / Re: Have You Been Cursed By Your Parents Before? by MiniG: 10:34pm On Dec 06, 2012
Good observation, but parents do not have the final say over their children you know, God does and He can nullify any parental curse, deserved or not.

SS is a pointer to needs that your soul has that the flesh tries to fill, which it (the flesh ) cannot do, hence the feeling of emptiness within & guilt after each indulgence.
First off, come real with God, stop seeing Him as a distant holy king that only the blameless can reach, NO! He is reachable to the vilest of humans. Let nothing hold you back from Him as He is not surprised or put off you because you SS. A part of the Godhead became flesh remember, so God knows all the passions we feel as humans so feel free to tell Him all your struggles in this aspect, a million times every second, every day if that is the frequency you SS.
Then make sure you are filling yourself up constantly with quality soul food at every opportunity you have, not necessarily by moving your things into a church building to live there! There are so many books and online material that deal with spiritual growth that can help you.
You will also do well to identify your 'triggers' and consciously get rid of the ones you can remove and avoid the ones you cannot.
The result may not be immediate, even when wife comes, but as you faithfully fill your spirit and mature over time, all those passions of the flesh will starve to death & fall off on their own accord.

I have been there! Cheers
Sports / Re: Police Drop Mikel Obi Racism Case by MiniG: 1:56pm On Nov 14, 2012
The OP would have added this bit below, so that people will give more informed comments;

The case that was dropped is the one instituted by the Society of Black Lawyers, based on media reports of the alleged incident.
The Metropolitan Police dropped the case because according to them 'no victim had come forward'.

Chelsea's formal complaint to the FA still stands and is still being investigated between the two.

Politics / Re: Who Is Capable Of Leading Nigeria Now?: Your Opinion by MiniG: 7:30pm On Nov 05, 2012
The problem with Nigeria goes beyond individual president and will take a while to fix. However, fixing the country aright can be done (with a focused and resolute team leading the change both in words and action over a sustained period of time against the rotten system we have in place at the moment.

As it is now, even if by miracle you get a perfect man/woman to lead, s/he can only do so much. Those expecting GEJ to perform magic are just day-dreaming. To get a common Ward Councillor elected in Nigeria (from the very little l know) takes several consensus agreements, deal-cuttings and all kinds of compromises, just to accommodate all kinds of stakeholders, strange bedfellows brought together by a common aim; to eat the proverbial 'national cake'.

Sample this; a State governor wanted to sanitize a chaotic transport delivery sub-sector. A group of illiterate touts who control that sector went to him and boldly told the man to stay off. The governor refused and began to implement his reform. Result? The state was brought to its knees via riots, strikes, killings and all kinds of violence. The governor had to retreat through what they called a 'modified reform'. Till now that sector remained a sore thumb in that state.

Who to lead Nigeria now? Its not PDP, ACN, CPC or PPP or whatever other alphabets they gather themselves under. It is we the people! Not from Abuja but from our various localities, through sustained sensitization, infiltrating the rank and file of existing pressure groups, establishing new ones, linking hands across parochial divides till we are able to gather enough force and go for the jugular of the mediocrity and lawlessness that is laughing at every well-meaning Nigerian in the face.

Your friend has a number of options;
1.Let him go back and re-enter legally (safest option, though cost intensive)
2.Talk to an immigration lawyer, they know the legal loopholes to exploit. The best advice you can get here is mere conjectures as nobody here knows the details of his situation.
3.Stay put and damn the consequences.

Lastly, he can
4.Increase his faith in God and pray for miracles. (Oh yeah, miracles still happen)
Religion / Re: I Dont Love Him. But He Said He Heard From God by MiniG: 2:20pm On Oct 22, 2012
God is not an author of confusion, if HE is behind it, HE will confirm it to you through other means/people in order to put your mind to rest. Don't rush into any decision, wait on God, confide in an elderly Christian/prayer partner you trust to pray with you about it. Just make sure you are in right standing with God. HE will never lead you into a wrong relationship

Romance / Re: What Do Girls Mean By 'God Fearing' ? by MiniG: 4:22pm On Oct 11, 2012
The fundamental need of every woman is security. When they say God fearing, it is not necessarily someone who wears Jesus or Muhammad, etc, all they are saying is someone who can keep them safe from the fears within them and the many dangers of the external world.

Each state has a ministry of education, under which you have the Teaching Service Board. These bodies regulate the recruitment and disciplining of public school teachers with clearly stated processes for each. Besides you don't just sack public workers without giving them the opportunity to be heard, except you are a typical Nigerian politician who can do anything in order to maintain popularity.

On this one the governor played to the gallery. The action is not procedural, apart from being too drastic,

Literature / Re: 'my Names Are', Or 'my Name Is' by MiniG: 11:25pm On Oct 02, 2012
Take this from someone with a background in grammar. Both expressions are correct at the level of syntax (structure of language). At the level of semantics (meaning ) 'my name is' means that whatever follows is your formal identifyer, if you say your name is Seun Obi Garri, it will be wrong for anyone to call you Seun or Obi or Garri separately. This is why you hear expressions like 'my name is Seun Obi Garri, but you can simply call me Garri '. Or when you give a string of names, the other party will ask; 'can l simply call you Seun?'

On the other hand, 'my names are' implies that it is correct and formal to identify you by any of the names that follows, ie each of the names you then give. eg lf you say your names are Kehinde Obi Musa, any of the names can be used separately to identify you.

But of course language is only a tool of communication, as long as the parties involved make meaning to each other, well and good. Feel free to use whichever one floats your boat.
