Good morning ‎Please, I want to re-apply for my US visa. My former church once applied for a Group Visa to attend a conference in 2015, I was issued the visa but now I want to re-apply with my own New User ID with my personal email address and password. Please, how do I go about it because I will need to have my previous application under the new User ID I want to create..

In addition @ mizbee, when in the CGI process, just answer the questions as they come. If you qualify for dropbox, it brings out your dropbox letter, if not it asks you to schedule an appointment. It is still same process.

Anyone is okay as long as you fill it correctly. I submitted via dropbox but was still invited for an interview via 221g.

I went for the interview on the 1st of August just 2 questions asked and passport was ready on the 2nd.

Thanks @omobendel and @shrekandfiona.

Some quick questions which should guide our advice :
Any pattern associated with this pain? (maybe more when you wake or when ur active)
Does the pain seem to move to your back or shoulder?
Does the pain seem to ache or is it sharp or dull?

Sometimes when am active and also when I lay down at night. Its moves more to my shoulder and the pain is inbetween sharp and sometimes dull. I always place my hand on it whenever I feel the sharp pain. Its really confusing because I havent really noticed the pattern. I still felt the pain in the morning while sitting down that was the reason I sent the message. Thanks

Hello Realgeo.
My checklist isnt the best. Found some awesome ones here after I had submitted my application.
I was lucky I must tell you 'cos I made a handful of mistakes on my application.

But since you asked this is what we sent in.

We divided our list into 4 and sent in documents for each category

1. English requirement
- NARIC Certificate for my 1st & Masters degree
(I sent in photocopies, hubby sent in originals)
- My original certificates
- Medium of Instruction letters from my universities (I studied in Nigeria)
- NYSC Certificate

2. Financial requirement
- P60
- pay slips for 6 months prior to application
- New contract of employment (due to start a few weeks after I submitted my application)
- 6 months bank statement

Please note that we met the minimum amount required with his old & new job

* we didn't add a letter from His new or old employer. Please do if you can.

3. Accommodation requirement
- Council tax bill
- Mortgage statement
- water bill

* Others add electricity bill, letter from Landlord and many other stuff here. We didn't because he owns his house so we didn't need to get a letter from anyone. So please note you might need to get one if the apartment is rented

4. Relationship
- Marriage certificate
- 30 pictures from our introduction/traditional wedding
- 30 pictures from our registry ceremony
- 30 pictures from a after wedding-dinner party where we hosted our friends
- 20 pictures from times we spent together
(Many of them were selfies and kissy kissy pictures...lol)
- Photocopies of his visa page for the 2 times he came to Nigeria
- His flight tickets/boarding passes for those 2 return trips
- 12 emails we sent each other. Only one was romantic....and that was the one I sent him on his birthday.
- Screenshoots of our whatsapp calls. (100+ pages....we talk 10 times a day)

Note: we didn't remember to put dates on our pictures. Please do.
We also didnt add our whatsapp chat...please do this.
He has sent me money several times but we didnt add evidence of that 'cos we didnt know it would be relevant. Please do.

Gifts he bought me when he came for the wedding....we didnt add evidence of this. Please do

Other documents added were my birth certificate, my business registration documents, my personal income tax receipt, IHS fee receipt and his british passport.

The mistakes I made were typographic so please be very careful when filling your forms.

I had 2 previous UK visit visa refusals but it didnt stop us from getting it.
Thank God

Hope this helps.

Good luck!!!

Hello Abbylove, compliments and Congratulations. Please, with the 2 refusals you had, did you use the priority service for your application?
Thanks.

Good day to everyone and Happy New Month. Please, I intend applying for my settlement visa in February/March by God's grace but I was thinking of requesting for a transcript and a letter from my school this coming week so I can send to NARIC.
Please, do you think its advisable to do so now?
Hope its not too early to have the NARIC certification?
Because am trying to put all necessary documents together as early as possible.

@mizbee Good evening to everyone. Please, were is better to change Naira to Dollars for my travelling? Is it with the aboki's or at the airport? Please.

You can change $ to naira at travellex at MMIA as someone rightly advised. It's $1 to N356. You will need your passport, visa, boarding pass & BVN CARD. Don't bother going to Travellex if you don't have your BVN CARD.

Thanks for the advise. But pls, which one is the BVN card oo? Have never heard of it.

ekpotek:

If your visa is B1/B2 you can go for a vacation before its expire. Secondly you don't necessarily need to go to Orlando. Your visa is just a permit for you to appear at the POE. Getting into America is Strickly at the discretion of the officer at POE. The CBP officer at POE will see from his computer that you are not coming for a conference and would want to know the purpose of your visit and maybe why you did not attend your conference for which the visa was issued. Your travel history will count here. Just tell him the truth and you will be okay.

Thanks so much @ekpotek and @LadyGuinivere.

@seyewest I was meant to travel for a conference then but cos I had a miscarriage I just cudnt go. As I said, it will expire next year February left for me, I wont even bother myself abt it but my husband keep saying it wont be right to av it and not use it. As it is, I really dont av anyone to stay with in Orlando that was the reason I asked the question. Thanks

Lexusgs430:

No. You are free to apply using whatever format, your bank balance allows.
Priority service - Simply means more money for them and less time for you to wait to get a settlement visa decision.
WIN WIN on both fronts........ .......

@lexusgs430 am so sorry, I just came across this answer now. Thanks. smiley

Someone asked a similar question a couple of days ago.
The answer to your question from the response was that, if you have ever been refused a visa, priority application is not allowed.

@lexusgas430 thanks for ur response. I read dat same question d person asked. I was only refused a uk visiting visa and on the TLS page it wasnt stated with d oda countries. That was why I asked
"If you have been refused leave to enter the UK" does dat mean a uk visa refusal?

Hello, can someone please list all important thing to do once person arrive in uk.

Like- open bank account, NI, ETC.

Just scroll up on this same page. Portsmouth86 already stated all she did.
Portsmouth86:

Hi there
This is what I did for my husband and his arrival in the UK
My hubby arrived in the UK on Saturday 13th February
08/02/2016 Council Tax- I informed them as soon as I booked his flight (8th Feb) and advised what date he would be moving to the UK
15/02/2016- Went to the post office to collect BRP (Biometrics residents permit)
15/02/2016- Called Electricity, Southern Water and Portsmouth water and also called National Insurance line made application
16/02/2016- SSE (Electricity issued a bill) this was a PDF online bill I used as proof of address
17/02/2016- Opened NatWest Bank account and registered with GP
18/02/2016- I did my husband a CV and we went to the agencies and registered for work.
18/02/2016- Appointment with Lloyds Bank to open a Joint Savings account.
22/02/2016- FPR recruitment asked hubby to come in for a health and safety test PASSED smiley
23/02/2016- Hubby started his first job in the UK in a bakery, and is still there smiley (and did SIA security training, now awaiting the licence)
24/02/2016- Applied online for a provisional Licence
02/03/2016- D/L application arrived pre filled, signed returned with BRP card
15/03/2016- BRP returned from DVLA ( I knew a licence is issued as the ref is a DL number smiley
16/03/2016- Provisional Arrived smiley
So in a nutshell:
-Council tax
-Collect BRP
-National Insurance
-Electric company
-Gas company ( if you have)
-Water company (both fresh and waste)
Then once you have a letter from one of the utilities or council tax:
-Bank Account
-GP
-Dentist (my husband hasn't yet registered with one smiley )
useful information:
NI number:
https://www.gov.uk/apply-national-insurance-number call 0345 600 0643 Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm (make sure you state he has been offered a job but requires a NI number) they will ask why you need one although obvious, however you can actually work for up to 12 weeks without an NI number smiley this is issued now by the jobcentre Plus not DWP
You need to get proof of address before you can open a bank account or register with a GP, so make sure those are the first things, check your billing dates for utilities as you could time it to get a bill the following day, as i called the day before my bill was due to be generated (luckily)
Driving Licence ( international licence can be used for 12 months from entering UK)
https://www.gov.uk/apply-first-provisional-driving-licence
And make sure you file any letters for Joint or single names for your next stage FLR as you need to provide proof of cohabitation smiley
I hope this helps smiley
