Thanks sis.
But honestly, I am not one. I identify with the cause on some level, not as a whole. You really do not know how silly these guys can be, if a woman kills her husband now, they will say she is a feminist grin
That's how much they have abused that word.

If I do or say something bad, put it on me. Not feminism.
That way I don't spoil the reputation of its true advocates.

As for the marriage taunts, they have been on it for long. Doesn't bother me one bit. That's all they got in their arsenal for now cheesy

Thanks for the kind words kiss

Welcome smiley

Everyone, even the so-called anti-feminists identifies with the cause on some level. Everyone.
Most are just living in denial.

Good to know you're doing great.

Cheers wink

I identify with the basic tenets of feminism.

When will a thread directory be opened for that.

I want my name to be there.

Pocohantas, believe in what you believe. Stay true to yourself. I know the feeling of feeling drowned out from being lampooned for having a different opinion from everyone else.

Do Nairaland on your terms. Don't be afraid to express the sweetness of your soul. If something you want to say doesn't feel good and right to you, you'll be better for holding back.

But don't hold back because of some faceless keypad warriors. I know that feeling of being a lone voice on here. Trust me, it gets better with time.

Do you, and be comfortable with it. I know it's hard sometimes but just ignore posts that don't feed your soul positively.

They get kicks when you become embroiled in baseless arguments with them. They enjoy taunting you for being unmarried, but it's all for the time being.

You are strong and intelligent. 95% of Nigerians won't appreciate it.

The remaining 5% is what counts. They are those who make it all worth it. Like I strive to, keep working at being a better version of you. Those who try to marriage-shame you aren't your type anyway.
So why bother?

It's not pride. It's choosing your battles.
Ignore the toxic ones till they begin to doubt their existence.

Be you, do you, love you.
You're awesome like that.

It is a time bomb waiting to explode or implode when a woman has money whether from her connection, self efforts or family. You just tolerate until u can stand on ur own and bail. You don't know what u did wrong, just knowing she contributed to ur successes is a problem to her.

Akuko.
Na so.

Ngozi Okonjo is a time bomb abi?

Dora Akunyili (RIP) was also one.

Oga, there's no justifying his decision ooo.

If you want to continue in your line of thought, good luck to you.

He put his own money but most at times women don't and be using their mouths to sack themselves. It hurts to tell u to leave but all ur mouthing hurts the men too. You hate when being talked to but do that to men. Why?

How did the man treat her that sent her into such manic-like state.

Like I said, except she is just a straight up Jezebel...
Something must have made her feel so bad and burnt to speak in a degrading manner about the man's family.

Well, what do I know...

I don't know what will make me speak so condescendingly about my inlaws sha. There are lines you don't cross.

But for the man to use the "Leave my house" clapback.....

Hmmmmm, to your tent, oh Isreal.

Personally, I don't blame you.
You were only trying to help a friend.
Its not your fault that she wasn't honest. She simply betrayed your trust.
I'm sure you've learnt a valuable lesson.

She did.

She asked for forgiveness privately, and I have forgiven her. She went public again to ask for forgiveness. If there was any shred of resentment whatsoever left in me, it must have dissolved.

All is forgiven. We live and let live.

How u handles anger when it comes is what makes u a man.
Ur wife can learn from u.
We all are imperfect and should be giving that chance for redemption.

Sassysure, your head dey there.

Some of us women na correct hot plate o. grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin

But the partner makes all the difference cos over time you realize that gra gra is unnecessary given how maturedly your partner handles your crazy moments.

So you will just by yourself advise yourself to be cooler in your approach to things.

"YES i said she should put my name only cos she belittled and betrayed me which tells me if it was in both our names she will raise shoulder and feel above me"

OP wants the house in his name,so the wife can always be below him. He wants her to keep walking on eggshells knowing she can get thrown out any minute. Very typical...

The other day there was a thread on a woman who got thrown out with her Ghana must go bag grin. Women done wise up o.

Sure sis, there is hope for humanity.

Is it not what I said in my first post earlier on this thread?
Asking to transfer to his name is so he can oppress and subjugate her.

My dear, trust me, if this man is kind to her...like really kind and compassionate, nothing stops her from putting both their names.

Yeah! She confirmed he's a good man but didn't put his name as the owner of the house ab initio? Bros, you dull o. All those he's a good man title, na format. The wife already knows she's dealing with a totalitarian, hence, she gave herself a back up plan.

For your information, I'm happily married. So, it's not because of any bad experience that I'll typing this. I'm just advising a fellow woman not to fall victim to the latest marriage scam you men play. Besides, I'll like to ask; 'which law stipulated that a woman can live in a house built by her husband but the husband can't live in the same house built by his wife?'.

If you can't answer that, then, advise your egotistic brother to jejely move into his wife's house whilst paying maximum respect to his landlady. Else, he's just a bloody crook seeking to possess another person's possession.

Succinctly put!

You are wise! If she did that to spite him, he would have known prior to this issue. She would have given that 'it's my house vibe', same vibe most men give their wives.

I think his wife is a good woman. OP isn't bad either, he is only proud and selfish. He should better go settle issues with his wife, this isn't a serious issue. If the house were in his name, the wife would have realised how she can become homeless in a quick second. We are only hearing this one because he is at the receiving end.

Funny how it's okay for the man to give that vibe, but not the woman.

For the evil that Nairaland guys claim women are, I have never seen a woman that wakes up to say, "Leave my house" cos they are in a fight. If she stated it's her house, was that not the obvious? Wouldn't the man have said so too? and even add jara of "leave my house"

Too much hocus pocus.

My happiness on this thread is seeing how Men, real correct men o, are condemning his act too.
It gives me satisfaction, and I feel hopeful for humanity.

there's no point.

I don't feel that I'm particularly drawing from my experience as a married man to recognise what is actually going on here...

I suspect the woman may not be particularly good looking, or may have some sort of inferiority complex because she's clearly conflicted about whether she can do better...

divorce is not the taboo word it once was, and she shouldn't immediately assume the responsibility of holding the family together for the kids, when it was the man who made the decision to walk away from those very kids.

This man is a leech who has gotten the woman so emotionally dependent on him, that he feels he can demand anything of her and reasonably expect to get it.

That's exactly the same concept of Yahoo Yahoo.

I'm beginning to see why Guapo likes you, a lot.

yes my sister. The man is really wicked and extremely selfish..how on earth can u order ur wife to park out of her house just because of misunderstanding ?she was not caught cheating.. The man is wicked

In all their years of staying together, I doubt that the woman has ever flexed the "I am the owner of the house" muscle.

I doubt she will also ever tell him "Get out of my house"

It seems the move to make the house solely in her name was more of a tactical one than a "gloating" one.
